Cafe Lodge in Thurrock

This is the second time I’ve been to this venue this year and on both occasions we had a great experience. On this occasion my daughter held her engagement party here and from the planning stage right through to paying the bill, everyone we encountered was amazing. Particular thanks go to Lucia for her on point planning of the event, the chefs for executing such a wonderful menu (the stuffed Yorkshire puddings and fish and chip cones were very good) and Gary and Lucy for their wonderful efficient bar service on the night.

We had a 3 course meal and the price was very good. The food was excellent and very fresh, I had the steak and Ale pie and it was wonderful and very filling. We also had the apple crumble and custard which was homemade. The service was also excellent, we were served by Amy who made sure we had everything we needed/ wanted without being pushy. Although it was quiet, on a Thursday night, we were told it is better to book at the weekend when they do a lovely Roast dinner. Looking forward to going to the Bull again

Roast was excellent as usual and the waitress Gloria was polite and helpful as always
