Really good pint a good price and friendly service. With a food truck outside that did lovely chicken wings at a fair price. If you fancy a game of pool, then head upstairs where you'll find a table.

Absolutely amazing old style pub restaurant. Food is extremely good, well presented and reasonably priced. The pies are filled to the brim. Service is also very very good. Great choice on the menu for children and vegetarians. Large garden with a great park for the children in a beautiful village... Couldn't ask for much more, we very much enjoyed our visit. Thank you.

The experience started very well with a lovely female staff member who said on the phone that they could surely "rustle something up" even if we were late arriving. In the end we arrived around 8:30pm to go to a wedding at Crockwell Farm the next day. Claudio welcomed us warmly and the chef 👩🍳 (owner as well we believe?) prepared a lovely dinner even though it was probably past their serving time. Our room was compact but had everything needed. A bit more shelf space or a chair and some hangers would have been handy; but with an old coaching inn there is only so much that can be done! For the same reason, the rooms on the upper floor are reached by narrow stairs - tall individuals (and those having consumed a few beverages)beware! Breakfast was continental with some extras, all self service. We had a lot of choices but obviously there are limitations. The Earl Grey tea was very nice, the Cafetiere coffee less so. But within the facilities is was altogether a well thought out spread. Overall we would certainly recommend and will return if in the area.

I loved this pub so much! The atmosphere is amazing and the staff are so friendly and bubbly which is exactly what you want when you walk into a pub! I was with my family and we had some lunch, the young girl was our waitress and she was so full of energy and was so polite to us. I went for the hunters chicken melt and my family went for the gammon steak and the chicken kebab. They were absolutely delicious and so full of flavours. I really recommend this pub for anyone for a nice lunch or dinner out and is also really kid friendly which is amazing to see! Will definitely be coming back here for the positive vibes and the many many options for food and drinks

We were visiting the area for one night and decided to have a meal here. The pub looked inviting and has a good garden for the summer. Food was great, good size potions and tasty. Kim was friendly and attentive. We would definitely visit again.
