When visiting friends in Milton malsor, this pub is always our go to for lovely food, it’s cosy, everyone is friendly. Kim made sure we were looked after and Maisie was always smiling and polite when serving our food. We look forward to our next visit

We visited on a Friday morning for breakfast. Kim, our waitress was very friendly & efficient & the coffee was lovely. Two of our group had the children’s breakfast which, as you can see is pretty substantial! Thanks Kim for a lovely visit 😊

Didn't have what I wanted however different dish didn't disappoint me either, lovely atmosphere, decent parking and beautiful garden with seating

We come here two or three times a year to meet friends. The service was really good, as was the food. We have not had a bad experience here. We were served by Maisie who was very friendly, polite and attentive.

Visited for our daughter’s birthday. It was very busy and we were told that there would be a delay for the food, that was fine because we weren’t in a hurry . All the staff were working very hard. Angie our waitress was brilliant always attentive and very jolly ! The food was very good and served hot ! 😀

Hilary and Georgie looked after us brilliantly! Food gorgeous as always, but the service made the experience. Attentive, make great conversation and so friendly 🫶🏻 we will be back !

We treated ourselves to a Sunday lunch. An extremely welcoming restaurant. well run establishment. Food was quick, hot and tasty...good choice of menus and the lunch options were of a nice size and value. Will make it here for more regular lunches. Plentiful gravy and the food was very nice. Angela was a lovely host nothing was too much trouble, always had a smile on her face...thank you..

Overall very nice, front of house was very welcoming. When we got to the bar it was very busy but, nobody spoke to us for a good 5-10 minutes. Felt very awkward just standing there, nobody once said "someone will be with you in a minute" even though we were the only ones there. At least 3-4 members of staff walked past, one pouring drinks right in front of us for a good while. I was considering leaving when we got served. I still rate the Greyhound well as, the food and the service afterwards was very good. There's a nice atmosphere and the locals are friendly. An off duty waitress even went to find us some salt. We all had a wonderful time here at the Greyhound. The food was lovely and with very generous portions and the service we received, particularly from Julie and Lyndsey was really exceptional and welcoming. Would highly recommend this place and we will revisit it again soon.

Walked here to try the food again. New potatoes looked awful, grey, old and obviously reheated, gave them to the dog. Salmon wellington was ok, I think it's quite expensive for the quality of the food you get. Chocolate brownie was delicious though.

A very pleasant visit to The Greyhound in Milton Malsor. 2nd time we have been in the last 2 months. Staff are excellent, food is good, as is the atmosphere, with the possible choice of music which is not appropriate.

Communication was terrible. We tried to add an extra person to the booking. 6 phone calls, 1 voicemail, 1 message and 1 email that was returned. We then popped into the restaurant and added the person and then we received a phone call in response to the voicemail left as we were leaving! The food was lovely but the service was pretty poor. The waitress was handing very hot plates to people as opposed to walking around the table. The desserts were virtually thrown at us by the waitress who obviously didn’t want to be there! Had to go to the bar to ask for the bill as nobody came near the table and then had to return to the bar to try and pay the bill. Stood at the bar while staff appeared to be in a meeting with no one in the bar. Eventually someone cam through to take payment. Needless to say we won’t be returning

I was unusually in Northampton on a Sunday night, & wanted to take my daughter for a dependable sunday dinner, so the greyhound was my immediate "go-to" choice. Given a warm greeting upon arrival by Anton & Georgie, & served fantastically by Olivia throughout, our drinks & food were of the usual high standard we have come to expect from the greyhound. Awesome roast beef for myself, & sirloin steak for my daughter, both cooked to perfection. I cannot recommend this pub highly enough, & if anything, has got better & better under Georgie's management. Well done all, & thank you, especially Olivia, you are fantastic at your job.

Angela the waitress was good. Food was terrible. Bar stunk of deep fat fryers. Would not go back.

Lovely pub and restaurant. Both eating and drinking outside with an ample beautiful garden. Inside there is plenty of room for dinners and drinkers. Friendly atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Fantastic find Very dog friendly,they even have a basket of blankets for your dog to lay on along with treats and water We had a sharing plater which was great My only critique would be. The outside bar should be attend it if it’s open.

Excellent pub & restaurant we used whilst at Silverstone for the weekend. Georgie looked after us tremendously & put up with the five of us with a smile.

Received drinks, ordered mains but never offered desert , coffee etc. No-one came to table during our visit after drinks and mains. Disappointed on this occasion.

A decent Sunday roast served by charming staff. They also have a lovely garden with fabulous views of Corfe Castle.

Came for a meal with our friends rang up a day before, and reserved a table outside they wouldn't normally do but had kindly done for us which is really appreciated thank you! Great service from all of the team, especially Natalie, pretty sure was bar staff, would have helped serve my kids puddings, Was overall a lovely meal

I've driven past this pub countless times and it's always been one I've wanted to go to. Yesterday (sunday) was another "kinda fancy a Sunday lunch" day. Me and my partner have been all over Northants and MK for our favourite Sunday meals and I have to say The Greyhound is by far our absolute favourite. The food was absolutely fantastic,definitely one for the book. We had a cple of pints each and a lovely Sunday meal and spent just over £50 so value for money was great. I think Georgie and her team here are doing a fantastic job and our waitress Izzy was lovely. 5 stars Georgie and the team. Specially Izzy !

We were served by the best waitress ever. Her name was Angela. She insured we were looked after without interrupting our conversations. Slight delay with getting our desserts however nothing major and apologised without even been asked. Dog friendly with ample spaces inside and out however recommend booking a table to avoid disappointment.

We ate at the restaurant for Sunday lunch, which was very nice. I asked for more gravy and the staff were very friendly and attentive. I also found that they really know the locals and were even singing happy birthday to one of them, which was lovely to see. The only reason this isn’t 5 stars is because the Yorkshire puddings were very oily, which wasn’t very nice when it all came out in your mouth. However, I think this was just an unlucky batch. It also took a while to get the bill, but I imagine this was because it was peak time on a Sunday. I would definitely come back and try the main menu as well.

Always a good reception at The Greyhound. Decent range on the menu. Would prefer it if the lasagne was brought back also a linguini pasta and chilli seafood dish would be lovely. It’s nice to be able to go to a restaurant and see staff that you know and who recognise you, Sylvie is always attentive, efficient and professional when looking after us.

An extremely well run establishment. Came on a sunny Friday to have lunch with friends in the garden. Food was fantastic and the lunch options were of a nice size and value. Will make it here for more regular lunches. Goes to show how an establishment can be well run and not cost a fortune to eat out.

Visited with a friend on 30/06 (Sunday) - Totally forgot to book a table but this was not an issue, seated in no time at all. We did hope to sit in the beautifully kept gardens, however, the weather had other ideas. Food was lovely (steak, roast, choc pudding and Bakewell tart) - All came out in good time. But for me Angela really made the experience memorable ! - Such a lovely, warm and welcoming lady, nothing was too much trouble - We will be back.

We have eaten here a few times, however, today the service was very slow. The meat portion wasn't the same & potatoes & veg didn't seem freshly cooked.

A well run country pub hats off to management. We went on a Friday lunchtime and it was quite busy. It’s a great looking place with a big car park and a huge garden area beautiful in the summer. We were a party of 8 adults and 3 toddlers and just turned up without booking and this wasn’t a problem it’s was easier for us to eat inside and they managed to get us all around one big square table which was very satisfying and probably worked out better for us as it was table service. The food is good and we were looked after by Angela and another lady who were both brilliant Its nice to receive great service like that 👌

Perfect Sunday afternoon roast, Siana was a very attentive waitress.

Service was very slow. Drinks order taken at the table delivered about 15 mins later, I'd suggest you go to the bar yourself. Starter we waited 30 mins for and having finished that, it was then another 35 mins for the main. Food was nice but the Chefs Board sharing starter only had one small piece of sourdough toast so we had to fight over that! The description says 'garden patch houmous with sourdough shards', make that shard, singular! I notice other reviews all seem pretty positive so perhaps just unlucky on this occasion.

Stopped here for lunch and were delighted with the good food and service.

It was a beautiful sunny Sunday when we visited as a couple with a little one so we made the most of the outdoor space. Sat on the patio, they kindly brought us a high chair, and after our meal we sat at the benches for a drink as they dont serve food there. Despite they were extremely busy, foos actually arrived quickly and the quality was really good. Got the roast, well cooked and awesome gravy. We also got deserts though they did forget the syrup and the cookie on my ice cream 😅 I had to remind them. Felt spacious, clean and also they were eager to swap the potatoes with rice on my roast as I requested for the baby. Inside looked fab too, will definitely check it out on my next visit. everyone seemed happy with what they've got. The baby had plenty of space to ride her little car, dogs were plenty and behaving, we paid around £60 for 2 x trio of roasts about £17 each, two drinks, one starter, two desserts. Decent amount considering how expensive life is. Service was friendly too and happy to serve and help. Thank you we had a great time out :)

This large pub-restaurant on the southwest edge of Northampton has many positive attributes. A pleasant building with a large treed garden and plenty of parking, the reception and service was very good, if a little over-anxious to please. We ate inside though there were many tables outside too. A variety of wines and beers from Greene King. The menu generally focuses on 'pub classics' and variations on that theme, but has a seasonal specials card too. One of us had dishes from both parts of the menu and was very satisfied with the aspragus and hollandaise, and then the steak and ale pie. I decided to take seasonal options including a crab in cheese sauce starter, and then the lamb chops. This is where the disappointment began. I had to search for the crab meat in the sauce, the lamb chops were overcooked and tasted of charcoal, and there was neither a hint of celeriac flavour in the mash as well as few if any courgette shavings. I should have complained but as other aspects of the pub, including the other meal, were good, I kept silent but decided against a panna cotta dessert. The extras of garlic bread and another dish of steamed asparagus were fine. I will give the chef the benefit of the doubt that my individual dishes were an aberration, but it was a big let-down.

A magical experience, I was fantastically looked after by a lovely young lady named Hilary Marjorie Melaine Fulton, her knowledge of the extensive wine menu would be unrivalled by any 5* London hotel sommelier, she had a friendly can do attitude, service was delivered with grace and style, nothing was too much trouble a real hospitality hostess a natural and credit to the team, she was attentive without being intrusive, a consummate professional in every way, we’ll definitely return, it was a pleasure to be served by Hilary, par excellence personified.

Popped round after a difficult day at work having not been for a while. But welcomed and looked after by Kim & Hilary as if we had seen them only last week. So lucky to have this place around the corner.

We ordered a variety of dishes and the food was great and reasonably priced. We had extremely good service provided by Silvie.
