Good range of drink's and value for money food

I have come to The Chequered flag for a while now and the staff are fantastic and always engage with us customers! My favourite dishes are the Mixed grill and the hunters chicken, you get so much food for the amazing price. The place is decorated lovely and very good if you have children as a good variety of children’s dishes on the children’s menu and a bonus with a playground in garden. The service is delivered fast with bubbly workers checking up on our food. I highly recommend this pub will be coming back here very soon.

Love coming here for meals with my family and friends , the location and atmosphere is wonderful and the food is delicious 😋 and the place is kept very clean and tidy

My family and friends all came down for a birthday meal at the weekend and it was incredible! When we arrived we got seated quickly and was welcomed very nicely by our waitress, our table was also set out for all 13 of us all ready. Our favourite dishes we ordered were the Rump Steaks, Spicy beef burger, Steak and ale pie and the American Hot dog, these dishes were delicious and so full of flavours. As well as the food being absolutely incredible, the service was on point with all the staff and waitresses being super polite and friendly. I highly recommend this family pub for big groups like ours as there is many parking options and suitable for everyone including a pool table, kids area with toys, TVs and a playground for children in the garden area. Will definitely bring coming back here 10/10 recommend for everyone!

Visiting relatives , just down the road ...popped in for a cold drinks ..... huge pub , plenty of room . Good variety of drinks ...we both elected for INCHES cider nice. Small gathering by the bar watching the Olympics. Menu looking good , themed days ...good idea . For people with little humans ...play area . And outside beer garden . ... Will return .

We booked a table for 11 people for my Grandads birthday and The Chequered Flag was just incredible. We had a lovely waitress who made sure all of us were happy and always had a drink in our hands! Such friendly staff and lovely atmosphere. Our second time coming here for a family meal and we will keep coming. Not to mention the food was absolutely delicious and all came to the table so quickly! Stunning outdoor seating area too which we sat at for a drink. 10/10 all round.

came here for the England finals and the atmosphere was incredible! The staff were so lovely and served drinks so quick and efficiently due to the busyness. I 100% recommend to go with friends and family

On your website it says you do Sunday roast, we came all the way there to be told you don’t do Sunday roast. It’s about time you updated your website

We love the flag - great atmosphere, superb for kids and adults alike. A great spirit selection as well.

After being told after arriving that they don't do Sunday lunch in the summer we checked there website and there was no mention of this. So I gave a 1 star review because of the website I was named and shamed on Facebook by the landlord in not a very nice way , obviously not a very nice person.

Recommend to family, they all had a lovely time and will be returning again, everyone enjoyed their meals and drinks, suitable for all ages. A friendly and warm environment.

The Chequered Flag is a fantastic pub with well-priced food and drinks. The spacious interior offers plenty of amenities, including a great pool table. The highlight of our visit was the exceptional service from Chor, who was incredibly polite and helpful. Highly recommend!

Great little community pub. Often has live music. The new land lord and lady have given this place life again. Haven’t eaten here in a little while but it might be worth a try again

After a visit to Silverstone Museum we looked on Google maps for the closest eatery and we were not disappointed, food was delicious & service excellent

Second try. Once again food was awful. My granddaughter was unable to eat her ‘chicken burger’. Two small pieces of bread crumbed fried chicken burnt. My chicken/bacon club - very small pieces of chicken, 2 quarter rashers of streaky bacon topped with a wilted lettuce leaf. I guess you ‘get what you pay for’ but won’t be back

Excellent service friendly staff and good food.

We visited the Paisley Pear on Northampton Road in Brackley. There was a group of around 20-30 of my family members attending a birthday meal and we had a brilliant time. A lady called Caroline I believe served us and was extremely helpful and her customer service was second to none. The food was delicious and the service was quick considering how many of us there were. I just wanted to say a big thank you to all of the staff that were there that night.

Food is always good, prices are reasonable. Staff are welcoming and polite

Queuing but people getting served who had not joined the queue. Staff blamed the rota but it just makes sense to serve people who are there first!

Met some friends for catch up and drinks. Atmosphere was nice. A little busy for my taste, but that just proves its a decent place. Because it was busy, there was a small wait for drinks, but the staff behind the bar was very friendly and apologetic, and was working quick, despite seemingly being the only one bartending. Overall very positive experience for a first time visit

We visited the pub today, it was really busy the service was great. We ordered food the food came out very quick and tasted delicious. Highly recommend this place great location.

I don’t normally complain or get annoyed easily but the management of this place is utterly appalling. It’s a small menu already, but numerous items weren’t available, and I mean numerous items, I tried ordering three things and all of them weren’t available. Piss poor planning and management…coupled with staff who have no idea what they’re doing or how to cope. The place wasn’t busy (hardly surprising) and there was no valid excuse for the issues. Absolute joke of an establishment. We left without ordering…if that happened to a place I was supposed to be in charge of, I’d be mortified. Avoid!

We were invited here for a family lunch. A good choice of Sunday lunch food on the menu. We had half a chicken but there was beef, turkey and a veggie option. There is a good choice on the pudding menu too. My photos show it better. It's great value, and they do a kids menu too. It's a large pub with plenty of parking and a children's play area outside. A real family pub.

Tonight was worst experience at the Chequerd Flag that we have ever had. Usually the food is great and the service is good. I ordered the sharers vegan nachos. I said to the manager when delivered that I ordered the one for two people. Which I paid 10.48. he said the portions are measured, I was really not happy with the size. And honestly it would have impacted my view of the restaurant. I very rarely ever complain about a meal or service but as I was really looking forward to the nachos I had complained. The manager offered to take the portion away and make another one. I didn't want to waste the food, I was just disappointed in the portion size as I had 30 nachos or partial nachos and 28 beans for the chilly. But instead of wasting it I would eat it. The taste was really nice. A little bit later the manager came to the table with another nacho sharer. And explained that he wanted the customer to be Happy. I really appreciate him taking this step to turn around a situation that could have meant that I avoided the Cheque Flag in the future to one that I would rate as high customer service. I know there is srinkflation everywhere so I guess it is to be expected that you have reduced the recipe for the menu item...but maybe just a smidge more on the nachos. But thank you to the staff and the manager. And the cooks chef as it definitely tasted nice and they were willing to ensure that we were satisfied customers.

Came down to watch football, great atmosphere and food.

Medioka food, our steaks weren't cooked as we asked and were very chewy, however other meals were nice, some of the drinks were not as ordered, and needs redecoration as the carpets are ripped to shreds and coming up in multiple places, feels a bit grubby when you are sat in there

The warm welcome the manager was very friendly and very professional and couldn't do enough for us the food was OMG delicious I felt so full but will definitely return every Sunday

I booked 22nd not realising I had tapped 23rd, all turned up for meal and of course wrong date. Lady who said they had no tables to accommodate as we had booked for next day. So I went in and explained the situation checked with lady and said there was nothing available ,so went and said to family let's find another place just as leaving manager came out and said there's a booth available which would accommodate us ,brilliant service from the manager lady looked like she had to swallow her pride. Excellent service and from the young lady who served us.

Had a lovely meal on a Friday night. Had the festive burger and a chicken burger was delicious. We had some really great music in the background, would highly recommend. Served by Gaz and Gili very nice service. Would definitely come back.

I went with 2 friends and their dog. They were stopping off as part of a long journey so we needed a quick meal. We received an excellent welcome and our drinks and meal were delivered promptly as requested. The presentation of the meal was first class and lovely to eat. The meal was excellent value for what we paid.

We have visited the place with the family👪 for Sunday roast. Very short distance from Brackley town. 👷‍♀️ Staf were lovely, smiley and very helpful. 🍺🍷A great variety of beers and wines. 🍲 The food was tasteful and reasonably priced, thinking of the average prices around Brackley There are also kids menu options. 🅿 There is a free parking area right next to the pub 🌳🌸🌺 There is a lovely garden with outdoor seating and a lot of space for the kids to play around.

Recently moved to the area and decided to visit The Chequered Flag for a meal after a long tiring day moving up from London. We were welcomed warmly and seated to a table. There was plenty of choice but we both opted for the fish and chips! What we both really enjoyed the most was the outstanding service we received from our waitress, Lily. She was extremely polite and friendly and really did go that extra mile to make our experience pleasurable. This will definitely be a regular of ours from now. Thank you.

There was a great variety of dishes on the menu which was all affordable prices (along with the bar prices!!) The staff were all very friendly especially my waitress Lily. She was a very polite efficient young lady and always had a smile on her face. Quite honestly It was lovely to see a younger generation working hard taking pride in her work 😊

We had 2 great meals here this afternoon. We were served by Gaz who was cheerful and professional, he saw to our every need. The guys in the kitchen who produced some cracking snap. The whole experience was first class.
