Annie and Claudio made our stay very enjoyable. We felt looked after from stepping through the door. Very comfortable room in a lovely traditional pub. Excellent food and atmosphere. We'll definitely be back! Maybe as locals!! Sue & Mike

Best Sunday lunch we have had in ages. Perfect portion sizes, lovely main starter and dessert. We were so happy we picked this pub for our Easter lunch and we will be back definitely!

Needed accommodation for an evening and chose this pub based on the reviews - was not disappointed. After initially thinking I’d gone the wrong way, found the place - my route was through country lanes with a game of dodge the potholes but arrived in one piece. My room - large, clean and comfy; huge bathroom with separate bath and shower - plenty of toiletries. Ordered the crispy belly pork for dinner - oh my .. so good - the whole dish was absolutely delicious. If that was an indication for all the options then you won’t be disappointed with the food. I came here for dinner and drinks with friends and had such a good night. The food was fantastic. Between us we had the steak, he chicken pie and a fish dish and all were superb. Desserts were also delicious. They were very busy but food still came out in good time. Staff were friendly and happy to give recommendations on the menu and with drinks. All in all we had a lovely evening and have all vowed to go again 😀

So life sometimes offers great things by chance, this was one. Forgot it was Mother's day, but needed a lunch with my partner Sunday, called and spoke with Mike who cane back having made space. A great save the day firstly, but to be followed by a lovely welcome, familiarity and three course lunch which was A1. Moral here, book ahead (thanks Mike) 😊 and trust in the warmth of the welcome. Would highly recommend on every level 10/10. Thank you!

This was not our first visit to this pub, we went a few years ago and our grown up boys often go. We just decided to give it a go on the off chance to grab a bite to eat and so glad we did. This place is a gem! We don”t live far away but you do sometimes worry that small village pubs are very much for the village locals and the there will be that moment of awkwardness as you walk through the door. Not here! Annie greeted us with the warmest of welcomes and accommodated us straight away. We went on a Saturday so had the regular menu which was lovely. My husband had the pork belly and I had the chicken pie, both were beautiful. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was absolutely amazing. They also do wood fired pizzas and Sunday roasts which we can”t wait to go back and try. We had such a lovely afternoon at the Crown Inn, we went back the next day after a long dog walk for drink and a bowl of chips by the fire with the dog. Annie was there again and introduced us to Claudio, another member of the front of house staff who was equally as warm and welcoming, both are a credit to the pub.

The food was absolutely amazing,the taste was great,we all had the tri of meats and all the meats were cooked too perfection,hats off too the chefs.and I would also say the pub staff were absolutely fantastic and friendly,and was the locals.we will definitely be coming back very soon

Here for an overnight stay before visiting Silverstone. From walking in the pub we felt welcomed and relaxed. Lovely building great welcoming staff then we had an evening meal...amazing homemade food. Brilliant overnight stay in a relaxed atmosphere. Cant recommend enough.

When you pay £30 for a Sunday lunch you expect top notch quality. Potatoes so cruchy they were difficult to cut, yorkshire soft, no cauliflower in the cauliflower cheese, parsnips soggy. Indewd a token gesture of veg. Gravy bland. Overall it was overpriced for an average meal and I don't expect to pay a 12.5% service charge in a pub, and I don't think this was advertised on the menu. Service was poor aswell and a pepper grinder wouldn't go a miss.

We had excellent Lunch at The Crown, food was superb, Extremely welcoming and friendly staff. We would highly recommend coming here for a lunch and some drinks. We are now full and enjoying a rest.

We went with a big party of 19 for our pre wedding meal in December and from the start of the booking process until the end of the meal we had a great experience. As it was a large party and just before Christmas we had to provide our food options in advance but we had a lot of options as well as some additional vegan options. We also had some allergies that were well catered for. The food was served very timely on the night and was delicious. The service was wonderful and. The atmosphere was so cosy. It really got us in the festive and celebratory mood for the wedding the next day and was the perfect way to start off the celebrations!

We had Christmas Lunch and the food and service was fantastic it made our Christmas. We would highly recommend a visit.

We were greeted with a very warm welcome from Annie and April with a complimentary glass of Prosecco. They made us and our Labradors feel very welcome. The Sunday roast was excellent and could not be beaten anywhere in the country. Looking forward to going back very soon.

My daughter and I booked for Christmas lunch and I have to say, it was exceptional. Never had a better meal out. It started with a selection of hors de oeuvres, then a starter, a main course - the best beef wellington I've ever been served; for dessert I chose a ginger ice cream bombe and my daughter a winter berry crumble. A cheese board followed, at which point, we surrendered and asked for a doggy bag, which was promptly supplied. As we prepared to leave The Crown, the proprietor reminded us that we'd not had the mince pies and coffee, adding the pies to the doggy bag. An excellent experience, a great Christmas atmosphere and a very prompt and attentive service, definitely looking to repeat it, even if I have to wait 12 months.

I had a great experience here. The greeting and service were both amazing. Lovely and quaint place with lovely roaring fires. The food was really good, I had the vegetarian roast, which was great. Not local to me, I met a friend there but well worth the drive. It's on the pricy side, and they include an above average service charge, which personally I think should be optional, however the service was great when we there.

What an excellent experience we've had today at The Crown. It's a beautiful, quaint building and with the roaring fires provides a relaxing, welcoming atmosphere. The staff were very attentive and friendly. The food was delicious and cooked well - my lamb shank was tender and tasty and the traditional turkey dinner was a delight for the eyes and equally enjoyed. It was a little more pricey than I'd usually pay - but for the quality of the food, the excellent service and the general experience, well worth it.
