Paisley Pear Brackley in South Northamptonshire

Nice spot for a business lunch. Plenty of places that are a bit quieter to work and do meetings. Good menu to choose from. Burger with Camembert is a great choice!

Stopped to charge our EV Sunday evening 6.30pm and thought we would have a drink , looking for some seating - numerous empty uncleared tables. A member of staff offered us a table and took the food away but left table sticky and dirty . No other tables were cleared while we were there, felt rather unwanted and won't hurry to return.

Good dinner and breakfast. Very noisy party near us in restaurant but waitress quickly moved us to quieter table, so kind. But hotel was very good. Similar to premier inn but a bit better in every way. So clean but could use a new vacuum cleaner.

Good offers on main meals. Very limited seating just for drinking visitors. Limited choice of real ales. Service at the bar is slow and pricey.

I didn't have high expectations, this was obviously a big chain place. But I was had a fantastic evening! the atmosphere was lively and friendly and all the staff were lovely, friendly and efficient. Our waiting person was Berlyse, she really looked after us well, going the extra mile to answer questions about the menu etc. The food was delicious and came out promptly. We will definitely go back again.

Visited with some family for lunch today, was served by Tamzin, who was an excellent waitress, and gave us an excellent service and always had a smile on her face! The food was excellent, and we’ll be back soon!

Have stayed here many times now and eat in the pub every time I stay. Have always been very impressed with the food quality and value for money. Portion size is impressive and the servers are friendly and very knowledgeable! I have a couple of allergies / intolerances and they are always dealt with quickly and efficiently. The allergen filter on the website works really well and despite often being very busy, the team are always on top of cleaning. Cannot recommend the Paisley Pear enough!

On arrival was met at the bar (Not sure if he is the bar manager) great welcome really friendly, we were a little early to book in the room so had a drink in the bar. we were booked in for a meal on the evening which was a lovely meal the mixed grill was so tasty and all the met was tender and cooked well. The following day we were booked in for Sunday lunch which was amazing and we were well catered for as we had a wheelchair user in our party. Great staff great rooms and service. I look forward to my next visit - Thank you Team great work.

We arrived and the pub was buzzing. Very busy but we were greeted at the door almost immediately and the host bent over backwards to get us a table despite not having booked. Great start and it only got better from there, service was on point. Nothing was too much trouble for Tamzin! She was pleasant without being overbearing. We had starters, mains and coffees. Everything came quickly and was really good quality! Saw the manager working hard throughout which is always nice to see! Having visited several other Marstons pubs locally, this was by far the best experience we’ve had anywhere! We will definitely be returning!

The menu looked appetising with a range of options and prices. The breakfast dining room was very busy with only one member of Staff doing everything from front-of-house to waiting-on to clearing away. This was not helped by the coffee machine having broken down, so another duty for the Waitress to fetch drinks from the kitchen. The advertised yogurt was freshly prepared with nice fruit, but the cooked breakfast was very standard and didn't arrive (eventually) with all the items advertised.

What a shame, the food although Marston's general pub fair has been cook quite reasonably of late. Not today. Ordered a mixed grill, and it was like a post mortem at a crematorium. During first inspection moving various overcooked pieces of meat around the plate, I noted that there was no steak. On reporting this back whilst patiently waiting for cutlery the server diligently went to amend the situation. Que 8 minutes later arrives a pasty looking steak. On cutting it open the pasty look was it hadn't been cooked at all, blue if you like but cooked by someone grossly unqualified. (note requested medium rare). I really hate complaining/mentioning any issues and would stay quiet and not come back but this was dreadful. So about 6-7 minutes later comes back the piece of steak on a baking hot plate. The server made the effort to ask if it was good enough this time and well its pretty hard to tell before you cut it open so said yes (surely it cant take 3 goes, and i was certainly not going to waste my time complaining again). The penny dropped as soon as I cut into it why the plate was baking hot. It had been put in the microwave and was no more cooked on the inside that the outside. What moron think its acceptable to microwave a steak. There are standard in catering no matter if you are working in a chain establishment and that is frankly disgusting. Shame on the managers that employee such kitchen workers. Pull your socks up. I'll shoulder some blame for ordering a mixed grill, rather than some premade affair. Lesson learned.

We were meeting up with friends who were on a tight schedule and passing through on holiday. We were given a table large enough for the group and our waitress made it clear that we could relax and take our time, as the table was ours for the afternoon. Some of the children got a bit bored listening to the grown ups talking and were able to go outside on the play equipment, all the time safely in clear view of their parents. We had very friendly and efficient service.

We have been here lots of times and been okay , not been for a few months and won't be coming back. The trio of mests roast dinner is a joke. £18 and the meat was poor quality and not enough of all 3 to put in a sandwich. Pudding was sloppy on a plate and chucked out. We went with friends for an evening meal. We'd been on a couple of occasions before and found it acceptable, but this time it was poor. One friend had the belly pork "special" but the portion of pork was tiny and not very appetising to look at either. My steak pie was OK but was plonked on top of mash which made the base soggy. It was accompanied by lukewarm "glazed" carrots, with no evidence of having been glazed. I would have tried the lamb shanks on the specials menu but it wasn't available, which I was grateful for because at £25 it would probably have been a rip-off - other proper restaurants in the area charge less than that. £5 for six soggy halloumi fries is too much - it would be OK if they were good ones. On the plus side the beer is good and the service was friendly - just on the right side of cheeky (Caroline!).

Stayed at the Paisley Pear with my mum who required an adapted room. Lovely, clean and fresh. Bathroom met the needs well, good quality of teas, coffees and biscuits in the room. Will return, thankyou 😊

First of all Caroline and Hayley need a huge pay raise and a Huge Thank You for being fabulous...!!! Great customer service and such lovely people...! The room was basic but ok, not much outside noise but the room above is was a bit noisy and in the early morning there was a dripping sound outside the room that woke us up... The Food was fantastic and there was plenty of it, the drinks were fab and it was a lovely evening meal... Breakfast was great value and cooked well... 4 of us visited 18.02.24 at 6.45pm to try out the much advertised new menu. We were very disapointed to find only 1 meal from the grill option was available. This is not the first time the menu at this venue was short of many of its meals. I find this extremely disappointing and not what a customer should expect. I will not be going back. Service is poor also and staff didn’t care at all. Slow service.

Had a fantastic overnight stay. The hotel exceeded our expectations. Spotlessly clean, comfortable and is mobility scooter friendly. The staff were all outstanding and the meals served were without fault.

I had Scampi, chips and peas, plenty of scampi, good variety of drinks and nice lunchtime atmosphere. Waitress polite and double checked our orders including a nut allergy, she was very attentive.

Bon service, rapide et efficace. Plus de difficultés au niveau de la nourriture, le fish and chips n'était pas mauvais, par contre le burger n'était pas bon et surtout cher pour ce que c'était : très petit en taille, steak minuscule et peu épais, et frites surgelées. C'est dommage.

Very comfortable room, generous toiletries & towels, comfy beds & pillows, friendly staff. Even decaf coffee & herbal tea options in the room. Better than premier inn at less than half the price!

Absolutely awful. We wanted a nice meal for 4 people for New Years, and thought the paisley pear in Brackley would be a good choice. The menu looked great, however, the food was far from it. We ordered king prawns for 2 peoples starter. These were NOT king prawns at all. It seemed like a joke and someone would appear with the king prawns but sadly not. Considering we consider ourselves as people who love our food. Not one person completed there plates. We then asked for the bill and surprised to see that we had been charged a surprise charge of £40 which when asked, was for the disco. Which again was absolutely awful. My mum who wanted asked for a fruity wine was sold a rose with some lemonade for £9.85!!! that was more expensive then anything else. We were left very very disappointed and sad that we felt we had been completely robbed. We will not be coming back and we will ensure we let people know to avoid this place in future.

Very friendly staff gave us a very warm welcome. Order taken very efficiently. Food arrived in an acceptable time and was of good quality. Now we know it is there we will return.

Excellent friendly Service and Great Food. We called here for a late lunch after a morning shopping. Some of the friendliest, most helpful staff I have ever met in any restaurant setting, regardless of budget. The food was great too. We were all very impressed and will be back. Thank you.

The Paisley Pear bar and restaurant is adjacent to their hotel. This is a fairly new hotel and restaurant. The venue is conveniently situated on the A43 North Brackley near the BP garage. Also on the site is a Costa and a medium sized Sainsbury. As a local my friends and I regularly go to this restaurant and enjoy a good quality meal at a fair price. There is a good sized car park with electric charging points. The restaurant is fairly popular and it is advisable to book. It is simple to book the restaurant on their web site. On this occasion my partner and I went to the restaurant for a quiet meal. We were met by Caroline, our waitress, who was polite and efficient. We were seated at the far end of the restaurant on a quiet table as requested. The menu is extensive. We both chose steak which was cooked well. This is our first choice restaurant in this area and is well worth a visit.

Part of a large chain , but with faultless breakfast. Upon arriving was shown a table and everything explained to me crystal ,being a hungry bugger ordered the full works , whilst waiting jumped into the freshly baked pastries , perhaps too much , my works breakfast arrived prompt , and everything cooked fresh , crispy bacon ( unlike that uncooked rind you find sometimes in other chains) which puts me right off tbh , black pudding sausages hash browns , it were right busy , but nowt was too much bother, jugs of fresh orange and apple juice available, I couldn't fault the breakfast nor the service, as I could only see 3 staff of duty, cracking value for your money anyway of the week
