The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in Chesterfield East Midlands

We decided to go for a rare breakfast treat. Lovely ingredients well cooked but served on cold plates so food was lukewarm. Having been in the catering trade for many years I observe what's going on around me. The staff would definitely benefit from more training as there was alot of hair touching going on and confusion with table reservations. It was organised chaos but not very organised.

Always freshly made very friendly service lovely little cafe. Home made scones, cakes and biscuits are a real treat.

Generally the service and food was good quality and fast service. Unfortunately I had to challenge the final bill. It didn't get me anywhere though, I was charged £3 more than I should have been. I had a meal off the £10.95 selection. The description on the menu was small beef steak pie etc. the restaurant said they provided a large meal with more chips and peas. The description was not off a childs menu) Looking at the menu there isn't a description for large steak pie etc. identified on the menu. In fact when I recheck the bill I'd been charged for 2 x fish pies. To me this indicates there isn't a large steak pie meal, if it not setup on the cash register. Just be careful.

Very good food and the staff are very friendly and helpful sometimes the upstairs can be a bit cold so try and find a table downstairs.

Popped in for a quick drink with my Wife. Good drinks selection with good Service. Lively atmosphere. To be recommended.

Nice place for a short walk and a buttie or a cuppa. Staff were very accommodating and pleasant. Nice bacon buttie.

The service was not very good at all, waited more than an hour for our food, for a party of 6. Cold steaks and bone dry chicken eventually arrived. A discount on the bill helped but by then there were some unhappy hungry guests….

Nice pub but staff are so rude, asked if they did food and was told to f*ck off across road to Greggs I didn’t know what to say after I asked as I was so in shock by the response, didn’t even order a drink just left. How they get people in that pub I have no idea. They need new bar staff!

I was so pleased with the food I ordered from Fitzgeralds . They went above and beyond on my visit.“I was very impressed with the quality and taste of the full English breakfast which was delicious, the staff are always friendly and welcoming

Me and my husband came into this establishment, and we were expecting a nice and calm coffee. We were wrong to expect this. Ordered a latte, my husband had a cappuccino, these were adequate, but the service however was far from this. A girl served me, Shannun I believe the name badge said, a blonde girl, and when I went up to the till to place my order, I was greeted with a look which clearly showed that she was not interested in being at work. I had told her my order and she rolled her eyes in a very disgusting manner, which made me feel like a nuisance for even coming in, and extremely unwelcomed. Some enthusiasm from her would have been nice. Overall, the rest of the staff were nice and smiley, but this girl brought the whole atmosphere down! Clearly needs the same training on customer service as the rest of the staff who work here.

Nice cafe in lovely setting next to the canal. It's a bit old style cooking. I found the staff most helpful. I would recommend it for any just a cupper.

Some of the drinks never turned up!

Absolutely rubbish, black pudding you could heel a boot with, cardboard mushrooms, blitzed sausages, bacon you could mend the other boot with. However 2 nice eggs

Rapidly gone down hill. Staff don't look interested at all. Drinks machine broken, wasn't told till after I had paid. I asked what we should do......took 3 members of staff to think of a solution. All cups dirty/stained. Only stopped in after shopping for a drink. Will not be stopping again. Shame really.
