To start with the food was very good. It was not what I ordered but was good. It is also a good price. Well it would have been if they charged me right. 4 sandwiches and a coffee £21. I asked for this to written down and the girl wrote £21 on the back of the ticket. I tried to explain I wanted a breakdown but got a piece of paper with a calculation on it that Einstein couldn't compute. I think I'm about £4 out of pocket. I would recommend the food but the staff need a lot of training

First time visiting Qoozies. My daughter loved the design of the restaurant. Now wants a leaf / flower wall in her bedroom. My first choice for breakfast wasn't available but had the feta omelette instead which was nice. Daughters choice of pancake was lovely so was her shake. The coffee was just right and in a decent sized mug. Reasonably priced compared to other places in Chesterfield. Definitely coming back.

Cocina Restaurant at Casa Hotel – Fantastic Food & Service! Had a brilliant meal at Cocina - from start to finish, the service was great. The staff were attentive, making sure we were well looked after the entire time, which really made the evening feel special. We sat in a lovely booth, which was cosy and comfortable, and the whole atmosphere of the restaurant was just spot on - warm, inviting, and perfect for a relaxed but high-quality dining experience. The open kitchen was a great touch too - loved being able to watch the chefs in action, working their magic. Now, onto the food… ace! Every dish was full of flavour, and beautifully presented. The scallop dish was and so was the steak. The peppercorn sauce could’ve been more peppercornery! The team also gave brilliant drink recommendations - whether it was wines, gins, or cocktails, they knew exactly what would pair well with the meal. A massive thank you to everyone at Cocina for a lovely experience - can’t wait to come back again soon! Thanks a bunch x

We booked a table, just in case, no steps so wheelchair friendly. We were showed to our table by a lovely lady who got us the menus. So much choice but i had a egg omelette with salad. So tasty and filling but then i was naughty and had lemon meringue pie with cream. The portion size was massive and so as i am diabetic i had to leave my meringue bit to my own heartbreak. Fully recommend- beautiful plac3, friendly staff and fabulous food

Went into the Bistro without a reservation, to be told we need one. Despite 85% of the tables were empty. Stood outside the Bistro & made a reservation on line, (all times available!!) Walked back in 5 mins later, to the surprise of the guy on the door. Waited so long for the serving staff, my wife actually went to the counter to order.. 2 coffee & a scone. Well I say it was a scone, it was more like a “Stone”. Rock hard.. Coffee was nice though. Turning lots of people away, despite the majority of tables was empty. Must be doing really well if they can afford to throw money away. The garden centre is lovely, but would not go back to the Bistro.. I would call it a “Cafe” so people would not have higher expectations.

We found the Rectory in Guide Michelin and as always the seem to deliver on their recommendations. It was a little hard to find the place, but one there we got a nice table facing the garden. Starters excellent - the lobster and the squid. The Duck as a main course also very good. The pasta with truffles needed more taste. The cheeses were served on a hot plate and melted - more raclette than selected cheeses. Attentive and friendly staff.

She has a genuine way of connecting with guests, making you feel like you're part of the fun, even if you're just a regular or visiting for the first time. She elevates the entire experience, turning what could be just another night out into something memorable. Whether you're there for a quick drink or settling in for a long evening, Chloe ensures you'll leave with a smile. Not one to complain but, we went to Birdcage for an afternoon tea that was booked for 9 people. One week before our reservation date I left a voicemail stating that there would only be 7 people coming to the afternoon tea and requested for 2 of the deposits to be refunded if this was possible. It then came to the day we were meant to be going and I received confirmation of booking stating that its booked for 9 people, I then rang to say that there is only 7 people now coming and again could the 2 deposits be refunded and also mentioned that I had called a week prior requesting this. I was then told that it cannot be refunded as they have already made up the food. However if there were only 7 of us arriving surely we would’ve been given the same amount of food meaning 2 platters or were they expecting 7 people to share 1 platter? We did manage to arrange for 2 others to come so there were 9 of us that arrived. We arrived on time and we didn’t get greeted bare in mind we were the only people in there, we had to sit ourselves down and then asked if this is where we were meant to sit. Shortly after the rest of our party arrived. We were then asked if we would like the Prosecco package or the tea/coffee package. Different members of our party had Prosecco and others had the tea/coffee. We had the sandwich platter which was nice not up to much. One of the waitresses came over asking if we would like any more drinks to which a member asked if we were to have another tea/coffee would it all be included or would it have to paid as extra? To which the waitress replied that it is all included so she then asked for a decaf cappuccino. As well as this another member of our party asked for another tea to which they just gave her a pot of boiling water to pour in to the previous teapot with teabags in it for her to pour it into. When the time came to pay at the end we all paid are parts equally without being given the bill or helped with working out/splitting the bill. It came to the final person left to pay to which they asked ‘how much is left’ to which the waitress replied sheepishly the amount left to pay including ‘extras’. We were all confused as to what ‘extras’ we have had. So then we were told the extra teas/coffee. Tea being a top up of boiling water to which she had to pay £2.80 for. I think this is disgusting as it was clearly stated to us that ‘all drinks are included in the set price of £20 understandably Prosecco isn't which we were fine with. But paying £2.80 for a top up of boiling water is unacceptable. So for £20 you get one tea/coffee and a sandwich and a scone. Poorly advertised, do better.
