Five of us including a vegetarian had a full English breakfast. Everything was of a high quality and cooked extremely well. The waiting staff were very pleasant and friendly. Would definitely recommend at £6.95 per breakfast 10 out of 10.

A relatively small but delightfully charming eating place. With four or five tables with accompanying chairs and a couple of comfortable padded chairs and a two seater settee. There isn't a large selection available but the portions are generous and excellent value. The tea loaf which I sampled was very tasty as was the orange and lemon cake which I took out for later consumption. The hot chocolate, I had was served with a generous accompaniment of cream and marshmallows. I found the place to have a very friendly and relaxed ambience, initially I was the sole customer but it wasn't long before others steadily strolled in and leisuredly sat down to enjoy what was available. A good place to enjoy a quiet beverage, or a satisfying panini, sandwich or jacket potato, or perhaps, treat oneself to a slice of cake. The cafe is however situated upstairs in Chesterfield Antiques Centre so the dozen or so stairs might mean that it is less accessible to some. Should these not pose a problem, It's a quiet little haven away from the everyday bustle. A clearly marked folding board is usually placed nearby outside giving more precise directions.

First visit here but definitely would not return. The breakfast was over cooked, luke warm and poor quality sausages with the over easy egg cremated and uneditable. No thank you or goodbye as we were leaving. I did give my feedback to staff who said he’d pass it on to the kitchen.

To start with the food was very good. It was not what I ordered but was good. It is also a good price. Well it would have been if they charged me right. 4 sandwiches and a coffee £21. I asked for this to written down and the girl wrote £21 on the back of the ticket. I tried to explain I wanted a breakdown but got a piece of paper with a calculation on it that Einstein couldn't compute. I think I'm about £4 out of pocket. I would recommend the food but the staff need a lot of training

So I took the family out for breakfast for my daughter’s birthday and thought we’d give Dunston Hall a try, as friends and family had recommended it.. Wow the food was amazing, all local produce and cooked really well. The sausage was to die for.. A great start to her 18th birthday. I too would rate this place highly.. Well done. Dave.

The food is home cooked, and I've never been disappointed yet. I usually go in a group and the choice suits everyone. The prices are very reasonable, it's not worth putting the oven on at home for their special discount days. The staff are exceptionally friendly even when really busy. It is so popular it is essential to book.

We found the Rectory in Guide Michelin and as always the seem to deliver on their recommendations. It was a little hard to find the place, but one there we got a nice table facing the garden. Starters excellent - the lobster and the squid. The Duck as a main course also very good. The pasta with truffles needed more taste. The cheeses were served on a hot plate and melted - more raclette than selected cheeses. Attentive and friendly staff.
