Very nice cosy local pub. Recommended.

Very friendly staff. Even put the F1 on for us

Food menu simple but good. Service good, nothing to much trouble. Was in at lunch time so not much on atmosphere.

New management have absolutely ruined this once great pub. Used too be such a friendly nice atmosphere there where you could go an enjoy nice reasonable priced food a drinks with you’re mates. But now the new management are very rude and don’t make you feel welcome at all. Hopefully something is acted upon this and they get the management so we can get our pub back to how it used too be.

Since the new manager has come in, the pub is not the same. You no longer feel welcome. The food has gone downhill and is inedible and unappealing. What used to be a welcoming and brilliant pub has gone down the drain. So disappointing.

Since the new managers have came in, the pub has gone downhill in all aspects. The staff are incredibly rude, aggressive and are people who you just do not want behind a bar, the food is now absolutely shocking and there is no care for food hygiene. Drink prices have also recently increased on a ridiculous scale. What once was a friendly, comfortable pub is now hostile and empty. I have attached a picture of the last meal I had there a little over a month ago this was sold as an adult “meal”

The new owners have absolutely ruined this once great pub, the food has gone down hill massively and the prices have gone through the roof. The owners do nothing but disrespect the customers and treat them very badly, look forwards to hopefully getting new owners and having the pub back to what it was.

Screw my last review of this place that was 5*. Since new management have been in it’s gone massively downhill and will never step foot in the premises again. Especially now the new owners don’t adhere to the higher standards of food practice held by those in the kitchen beforehand. Things was working before yet after the takeover the place seems to be in peril. I hope you start taking cross contamination and the handling of foods seriously, you will run this place into the ground again which you’re already on track for.

I love The Boythorpe Inn. The food is great, the atmosphere is wonderful. The staff are always professional and friendly. The landlady is very personable and has created a brilliant environment for a relaxing time with friends and family to have a drink, enjoy good food and relax.

Best chips in Chesterfield, lovely cheese pie to. Friendly helpful staff . Friend had steak at lady who served it came a few minutes after serving to check it was to his liking and kept me topped up with mayonnaise:) Very relaxed atmosphere. Will definitely be returning!

Last time I went in they had Strongbow. This time it has gone. A disturbing trend in Chesterfield. Yes you Burlington. Inches instead so drinkable. It's fine. Thanks for your reply but for some reason this won't let me reply to your reply. It was a good experience but I don't think I'll be walking that far out of town for an Inches anytime soon. I wouldn't worry, I only went in the Boythorpe occasionally anyway.

Wonderful food, Could tell everything had been freshly cooked, service was friendly and the wait wasn't long at all. The steaks that my partner and two teenage boys had were cooked beautifully they said, and the BBQ pulled pork dirty fries are amazing! We will be back again soon .

After all the carry-on with and the hangover from COVID, it's plain for anyone to see that this place is really trying hard to get it right and put The Boythorpe back on track. It is a safe and friendly pub to go to for a drink and some homemade food and well worth a visit! Would highly recommend.

Went in for a family meal, the boythorpe inn is a fantastic place for families with children, the food was absolutely beautiful, all home made and not over priced, the atmosphere is welcoming, definitely a place to go for a nice meal with children.

Returned today after years of waiting for the pub to offer food again and we weren't disappointed. The burger and chips for £7 was excellent and if this is how the pub is progressing with Debbie then we'll be back very soon.

Great entertainment for this up and coming pub free pool Tuesday and karaoke at weekends great drink offers daily pop in to see. Amazing service all round will definitely be going back.

Each time we visit The Boythorpe Inn, we are made very welcome. The food is excellent quality and the price is very reasonable. The atmosphere is always very good. There is never any rush to finish a meal - which is a "plus point".

I went in with my daughter today at half past 3 and the sign said they were serving food til 4, he wouldn't serve us and the chef was stood at the bar supping ale, my daughter was very up set we left immediately shocking!!!!

The food and atmosphere at the Boythorpe is all good and nothing to fault it on really. Good menu choice as you'd expect and good value.Highlight is the beer garden overlooking the bowling green. Looking forward to next summer!

Ignore the poor signage and paintwork outside as I did and I was amazed at the nice environment and atmosphere inside. The staff were excellent and I thoroughly enjoyed my Sunday lunch watching the football.

We went for a spot of lunch on a Sunday and this pub has it all.There is plenty of food on the menu and a lot of variety at very good prices. There is also a good selection of drinks, beers, wines and soft drinks. This pub caters for all tastes and there is a pool table and darts board if you fancy a game.It is just outside the town centre near Queen's Park and has ample parking to the rear. It does get very busy so make sure you book early or turn up early and grab a table.The service is very good, all the staff are polite and friendly and cannot do enough for you and they don't push you to eat your food fast, you just sit back and enjoy.

Large Tudor styled exterior with an eclectic comfortable modern interior. Greene king menu with drinks to suit all ages and tastes. Situated just off the main Chatsworth Rd having plenty of parking, inside & outside seating areas, some overlooking a bowling green to the rear. Free WIFI, sky sports, fruit machines and separate games room with weekly entertainment. Dress up or down, welcoming friendly atmosphere, and staff smartly dressed, service with a smile.

The Boythorpe has an excellent landlord which leads to a good pub experience. Whether drinking or eating this is a nice pub with a pleaseant atmosphere, The food is standard pub food but the prices are reasonable and its cooked properly. For example ask for a steak medium rare and you actually get that - I go to a pub in Worksop with over 100 excellent reviews and they cant cook steak as specified. So highly recommended for good value food and good service - gastro pub its not but for that quick bite to eat then I can think of no better place to eat than the Boythorpe.

Great little pub. It is a cheap value for money pub. Good beer and decent food for the price that you pay. Great for a night out, especially good if your looking for somewhere to watch the match with friends and a bite to eat! Pool table and dart board are good for a laugh!

Visited this pub on a Sunday to watch the football and have some food. Whenever I visit the service is always excellent. The food is excellent, a good choice of beers and good prices.I would recommend visiting the Boythorpe Inn for good food and a comfortable atmosphere. Good friendly local service.

Food was excellent. Really tasty and fresh. The menu is plentiful with a wide range of choices so something for everyone. The cauliflower cheese tart was lovely. Have to say the staff were absolutely brilliant. Really friendly and attentive. A lovely pub. Clean. Great service. Food brilliant

We go here most Fridays and the food is always outstanding and the prices are very reasonable. The chocolate fudge cake you get with the kids meal deal is a decent size&yummy and the meal deal itself is great value for money. The other deserts are priced really well too&much cheaper than a lot of other places.

The service is excellent and the staff kind and considerate. The food as always was excellent. I can definitely recommend the steak and ribs. The pricing of food and drinks are very reasonable with the children's menu offering excellent value for money.
