The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in England

Very rude staff. Ordered two coffees. Server mumbled something. Coffees served in take away cups. I said ‘sorry we are sitting in’. Staff member says ‘dishwasher broken, it’s take away cups only’. I said ‘but the dishwasher has been broken for over a month now and last time I was allowed to take a proper cup, and your colleague said that he’d wash it’. ‘No, it’s health and safety’. Not an apology, quite brusque and rude. I said ‘I will wash the cup myself, I just don’t like take away cups, the coffee doesn’t taste as good’. At £4 a cup, I do feel that customers can expect a cup! Staff says ‘well you were told it’s take away cups only and you still ordered, if you don’t like it I’ll refund you’. Hubby drank his, I accepted a refund for the principle. I feel that the staff simply do not wish to fill and empty the dishwasher. Which large chain would allow a dishwasher to be out of use for over a month???

Apertura tardía ( 7 : 40 y no 7 : 30 ) , pero no me preparaba las bebidas hasta que las pusiera a prueba si estaban haciendo mi pedido. No es la mejor experiencia - arrastrar las mesas fuera para configurar.

Pedí un sandwich de atún con aguacate y jalapeños. Me di cuenta que el sabor era amargo pero pensé que podría deberse al jugo de jalapeño. Después de unos bocados pude ver que dentro del bocadillo el aguacate era de color marrón oscuro y de ahí venía el sabor! Ya que no puedes ver claramente los ingredientes, confías en la decencia de la persona que prepara tu sándwich, ¡no esperes un asqueroso aguacate marrón empapado y maloliente en tu sándwich de £ 9! Si me enfermo de esto voy a emitir una queja oficial a la agencia de normas alimentarias bajo la ley de seguridad alimentaria!

The cake was delicious! Fresh and tastes amazing! The service was excellent too the lady on the phone so helpful and when collecting it was simple and they couldn’t do enough to serve me even though busy.

Terrible. Had omelette with cheese and onion it was literally dripping in oil, the salad that it was served with was also drenched in cooking oil. Unable to eat more than 2 mouthfuls as you could taste the cooking oil. Took it back, which didn’t seem to go down too well. Would only refund one as my husband had eaten half of his before he could eat no more. Not the best experience and probably overpriced for what it is also.

As we needed to stop after a long car journey, we saw Pease Pottage Services and decided to give it a try. We just wanted a sandwich and a cup of tea. We chose our sandwiches and asked at the counter for a cup of tea. The assistant just said they didn’t have any. She offered no reason but just suggested green tea - not what we wanted. To be fair, I can understand that they might have run out - if only there was a shop like M&S close by - actually, there was!!! Sadly the sandwich was tasteless as well but at least Costa made a decent cup of tea.

Just came across this trip advisor page for Philpott's on Booths park in Knutsford and thought I would add my review as I feel like things have changed. I have been working on Booths park for about 8 months now and have visited a few times here for breakfast and lunch and yes I would agree with some of the past reviews....BUT I visited again (twice) last week and was very much surprised at what I found. Not only did the servery area look cleaner and less cluttered, the food/deli looked fresh and appetizing, and something I have not seen before on the counter - ROAST BEEF and not only that, perfectly cooked roast beef. I also had an amazing carrot & coriander soup which was vibrant and tasty, on my returning visit, again the food was looking and tasting a lot more desirable than previous visits. The staff seem to be a lot happier and chatty with the customers, so I'm a little unsure as to whether there has been a change onsite in the past few weeks but things are definitely on the up at Philpott's and I would recommend giving it another try if you haven't already done so in a while. Yes the prices are a little high, but we are talking about fresh food here (or should I say fresh food NOW) and also lets be honest we all work in business's here, and we all understand the toll that inflation is having on food prices and overheads and that is not the fault of the staff members on site. I for one will definitely be returning more often to enjoy some lovely freshly made deli sandwiches and soups, along with the cheery banter from the staff.

Costa next doorwas full so I thought I would have a coffee and a wrap at Subway. I was the only customer. Both food and drink were awful, but the real horror is the loo. No paper and the toilet stained and held together with duct tape.

Lovely porridge, and brilliant friendly service from Darren and Angie (Ann?), made such a difference to our day, what a pleasure a smile and a cheerful welcome make, thank you.

I have eaten here many times before. The food has always been nice enough, with decent portions. They have added a front porch area, which opens up on both sides. This is for smokers, who can now have a drink or meal undercover, not a bad idea. Today, our experience was not a good one. The waiter who served us was pleasant enough, very friendly. The food was bought to our table in good time. However, they got my order wrong. Not a problem. It happens sometimes. In fact, whilst we were there, it happened to two other tables as well! When they did bring the correct meals to our table, it was obvious that they had left my wife’s meal sitting to one side whilst preparing mine. She noted that her food had cooled down somewhat. However, she tucked in and was still enjoying her meal - until she found a hair that did not belong to either of us! She couldn’t eat any more and it also put me off the rest of my food. The bill came to £17 for a breakfast, burger & chips, tea & can of coke. As we left, we walked through the porch area. We noted that the sides were still closed, leaving the porch area fully enclosed. There were used ashtrays on the empty tables. The smell was not pleasant. It also answered the question of why the cafe had smelled of smoke. My wife and I decided that this would be our last visit to Cafe Elite.

I had heard extremely good things about this company through friends and finally decided to visit with my family and make a day of it as it’s a slight trip away. I found the shop very easy to find and plenty of parking was available. Upon arrival the owner and his team (which includes family and friends. Always a tick in my book) were very friendly and inviting. They were patient and helped talk us through what was available for everyone of the family. We got a selection of pastries and snacks to try and enjoyed them outside the shop. The pasty was extremely flavourful. There wasn’t too much crust unlike most bakeries around our area and you can tell these were 100% fresh. Now the sausage rolls are to die for. We had a chorizo and regular sausage roll and again the flavour was unmatched. This was 100% worth the trip and infact we later that day returned to buy more goodies to take home. We will be returning soon to pick up plenty more delicious items from the menu and look forward to trying all the new additions to the menu we have seen online! Would 100% recommend to anyone even if it’s a long drive away. There’s plenty to see all around so can make a day of it like ourselves!

This was the worst experience of a bakery I've had, I ordered 2 bacon rolls, asked for well done bacon , the lady looked at me funny and had the hump over this, on receiving my rolls both bacon was just cooked I would say raw, the food my friend had was tasteless and he threw his in the bin, I would not class this as even dog food , disgusting experience

Firstly want to give credit to express cafe which I would hope turns around such poor reviews, it's not for me to judge either way only to outline mine and colleagues opinions of the delivery service for our breakfast cobs/baps/batches call other what you will. After numerous weekends of having their bin lids not once has there been an issue, delivered very close to requested times, staff no issue at all and we have tried most places in the area, pound for pound the nicest one currently. In terms of delivery/take away this is far from such a lowly score as it is given thanks all whilst it's this good we have no reason to look elsewhere

They have one staff name Jess was so rude. There toilet is out of order but rudely said buy coffee from here use next door toilet.
