Went for a coffee & a breakfast sandwich. What a disaster. The lady serving us was obviously having a bad day. Her attitude was awful and when she brought over our coffees my husband’s was slopped into the saucer. She just dumped the tray and went to walk off. Had to ask her for milk for the coffee and for something to dry up the saucer. She came back and threw the napkins down and made no offer to clean it up or apologise. When the sandwiches arrived, one bacon, one sausage, we were not impressed for the £6 each that we had paid. The sausage felt it had been cooked about 2 hours earlier - dry and tasteless. My husband did say that the bacon one was ok. This restaurant has always been good and the cakes are great, but I would never go back for the breakfasts again.

Really sad to see the demise of this once great centre. Now a self service restaurant and staff who don’t seem to have any customer service skills. The cappuccino lacked lustre and coffee! Peppermint tea had bits in and when returned we were told that these were to be expected as if we’d never seen one before. The Brie bacon and chutney ciabatta was dry with hardly any taste or Brie or chutney!!! The garden centre used to have great displays giving ideas for garden planning. All that’s gone and helpful staff appear to have been replaced with unenthusiastic people. The beautiful hedges have been removed - not sure why as you’re not going to be busy if you keep taking this approach. Really sad to see and I’ll be visiting other more personable centres in the area in future. Steer clear is my advice.

Turned up for lunch at 1:30pm...only to be told they're not taking food orders for another 20 minutes or so! Won't be lunchtime then. Poor.

Service getting a lot worse, most of the items on the menu they have on got. Some had some soup today which normally come with bread and butter ,but not today . Enquiry about and got a snappy answer No . Better of going to Ms Donald just across the way. Nicer food and BETTER customer service.

Very poor cafe, not enough high chairs available even though it wasn’t busy, staff showed little interest and didn’t care when asked where to find high chair. Not ideal having to wait for someone to finish so that your toddler can have a chair to eat their food. Unfortunately we had already ordered otherwise we would have left. Baby changing facilities, not clean, five bins in the cubicle and all full with one over flowing. Only stopped here as child was getting hungry, really wasn’t worth it and caused more stress than it was worth. First and last visit to a Tesco cafe.

Visisted here today at lunchtime. This café, which is within East Carlton Park, is currently having a refurb done. There was a chap up a ladder painting, within the eating area, while were there. We ordered two cups of tea and two cheese and onion toasties. The cheese and onion toasties were of a high standard and came with a good portion of salad. The staff serving were friendly (there were a handful of staff in the kitchen area). I would have scored this as very good, had it not been for what happened once we had received our food. Very shortly after we had started eating a man came into the café, who didn't order or pay for food (at least not while we were there) but came in to talk to the people in the kitchen area. On entering the café he sneezed directly into his hands and then rubbed them together and then went on to say he had 'man flu'. The decorator made a comment to Mr 'Man Flu' about what he had just done. Mr 'Man Flu' proceeded walk about the cafe coughing and sneezing, close to where we were eating. I am unsure if this was an employee or volunteer or just a frequent visitor who knew the kitchen staff very well. Just a bit surprised that someone would act like this in a café within a Council run park at a time when we are being told to be a lot more hygenic due to what is happening in China.

Worst cup of Costa coffee ever. I ordered cappuccino but when drinking it I realised it was over half froth and hardly any actual coffee, my husband didn't drink his Americano at all as it was so bitter. We used to go to all our local (Devon) Costas quite a bit, but hardly ever go now as they are all going downhill. Tables were filthy too (as they are in all the Costas). Also, coffee served in paper cups even if you are drinking in, instead of them making the effort to do the washing up.

I regularly go to Knights woldingham, I can't fault it. Its magical. However the restaurant at Chelsham is very poor . I had two sandwiches to drinks and it costt over £20. Honestly they where the worst sandwiches iv ever had. Nothing like woldingham Dene. The food there is 1st class. Why.... I was thinking the menu and food would be the same as woldingham. .. but no. The sandwiches. We'll iv had better for school dinners. Absolute ripp off . I was very very dissapointed.. I expected better quality from knights, and by the way I think knights eolfing is a stunning place e and 5 stars .. Chelsham. Restaurant shamefully poor

Not only we’re the staff very disinterested in any of the customers, the toilet was an utter state I’d give this place zero stars if that had been an option

Worst service ever in London and staff are totally incompetent. Coffee and juices absolutely disgusting. Unprofessional and totally unfriendly.

Nipped in for a Bloody Mary as our flight was delayed. Sat at the bar and ordered. Bloody Mary’s were £14 each. Bartenders came over with the card machine and I paid - received a notification on my phone and soon realised I had been charged £31.50 for the 2. Frustrating that on top of the rather high price the bartender decided to add service charge when there was no table service involved, or bill shown. To be fair, the bloody Mary’s were delicious, albeit a bit small (not sure they were standard size in comparison to others we saw served and also pictured in reviews). I certainly don’t agree with service charge being added to bill without notifying the customer of this either verbally or on a bill. I also don’t agree with it being added to a standard order at the bar.

The price of the menu goes up too often. £4.20 for a large cappuccino which is priced a lot more than my usual place in Central London. I think it’s way overpriced for the service, experience and area. Sevenoaks is lovely, but it shouldn’t be more expensive than Central London for a coffee.

Not happy. We used the drive through. Had my toasted sandwich missing. Had to go back in. I was on a tight schedule, due to work. Staff member put my order on again and then gave it to someone else..! I could see my toasted sandwich on the side. To top it off I could see my toasted cheese sandwich being eaten by a staff member…..! So I had to ask again. Not acceptable and not one member of staff said sorry…! Service there is terrible. Won’t be using Costa again…!
