This is the second time I have visited The George for a drink since it reopened. Both times have been disappointing. The first time, I visited with a group of friends and we ordered Mojitos. I firstly had to wait a significant amount of time to be acknowledged and served, and when I was, the member of the bar staff told me they were out of mint and advised us to go elsewhere as they were short of staff! The second visit, my partner and I ordered a glass of prosecco and a glass of wine. They were both on tap! The woman serving overfilled the Prosecco glass so the drink cascaded down the sides of the glass, and then handed it to me wet. Weatherspoons could do a better job and at a third of the price! It was a very cold evening and we were surprised that the fire in the bar was not lit. However! Along came a member of staff with fire lighting equipment. The table in front of the fire was occupied with a party of people trying to enjoy a chat and drink. The member of staff proceeded to attempt to light the fire. He went away with no fire lit, returned to check on it and disappeared eventually with an unlit fire. This is all such a shame. It's a beautiful building with so much to offer after everything that has happened. But the staff need to pull their socks up to guarantee returning trade.

Terrible! Waited in the queue for about 20 mins. They decided to open another till which I had gone past so those behind me got served before I did. No hot food left other than soup. Cold food was egg sandwich or bagel. The glass was open on the customer side and previous person took with his fingers as staff took tongues away. Feels old and miserable inside. At a time when retail is at an all time low, you are doing nothing to encourage customers back. John Lewis - try harder to keep the customers you still have.

No regresaré.

Honestly so gutted this place closed I remember going with a bunch of friends in 2019 and everyone was walking past each other going to and from the buffet like "mate this is too damage man so much pundage and guc bro" then I came to trip advisor to see a bunch of bots giving it 1 star! To summarise: Guc ☺️

We love stopping at Granellis when we are in Bury for a shop. The food had good portions and is always really good, but what let’s the place down is cleanliness. We’ve had dirty cups given to us a couple of times and cutlery is sometimes dirty too. Can’t be too hard to get a good dishwasher or hire one. The toilets are also grim and there could be more done to keep them clean. But it is the quality of the food and the super fast service that keeps us coming back. Would be good if they could start doing a veggie breakfast too?

Used drive-thru. 15 minute queue. Paid, then told to find parking space on road as no parking available on site and road double yellow lines. Waited a further 15 mins for girl to come out to car with meals. Got home (2 mins away). Meals were cold and of poor quality.

Lovely porridge, and brilliant friendly service from Darren and Angie (Ann?), made such a difference to our day, what a pleasure a smile and a cheerful welcome make, thank you.

Do they put all their worst employees in here? I will never set foot in this shop again. Pity it's not over the other end of the mall that's getting demolished (with the staff in it) . That's all it's good for. Asked if the sausage rolls were hot, got a reply at max volume "of course it is" asked for one inside a buttered roll. Again at max volume "we're not allowed to do that". Fine, I'll do it myself. Got the two bags thrust at me, the sausage roll was cold, asked for it to be heated, again was shouted at that this wasn't allowed. Ended up walking out and going elsewhere. Worst customer service I've ever experienced. Get your act together Greggs Management. Just as well I'm not a secret shopper!

Oh this place has gone downhill !! Have been here before meeting family for coffee and browse. This time more things off menu, run out. What they had was cold. Tiny cups of coffee. Garden centre, low stock, plants dead or uncared for. Maybe they are closing down? We won't be back.

Probablemente el peor Starbucks que he visitado. Asientos limitados en la planta superior y un alto riesgo de que le roben su teléfono y / o pertenencias debido a la disposición de fácil acceso.

Ordered two meals and two hot drinks via a sullen faced female server. After a 20 minute wait on a quiet Tuesday asked for an update. A different sullen faced woman snapped that there was hot food ahead of us. One person ahead of us whose food came out after ours so who knows, everyone else was having cakes and drinks. Chicken BLT sandwich and chips looked good and was ok. My ‘gardeners Platter’ otherwise known as a Ploughman’s wasn’t so good. I slice of poor quality ham, 4 very thinly sliced pieces of almost flavourless cheese, one pickle cut in half, handful of salad, minus advertised watercress and a slice of white bread in place of the advertised chunk of bread. Don’t bother, choose something else. For almost £30 there is better by far in St Anne’s just up the road.

Ideal cafe for before or after a class/swimming. I have always found the tables etc to be clean. Staff are always pleasant.
