Absolutely disgusting!! The floors, the food court, the toilets… everything was terrifying and filthy.

Ordered a coffee from the costa and saw that they offered free babyccinos for the kids so I ordered two of them. Was asked if I wanted milk or chocolate so I chose chocolate. Realised afterwards I had been charged for the babyccinos and when I questioned it I was told oh yeah the chocolate ones aren't free! There is no indication of this on the price board and I feel this is false advertising...OK so its only £2 but that's not the point. If something is advertised as free it should be free

Disgusting!!! This has got to be the worst service station in the whole of UK! The bathroom facilities were atrocious! If you need to stop somewhere, please do not stop here - please drive on!

This place is getting worse. Made complaint about dirty tables next to Burger King. Cleaner was standing by the toilets doing nothing. Rats running about on the fake grass outside eating area. No one seems to give a care. Place needs shutting down. It’s dirty. It’s untidy. It’s poorly maintained. No one seems to be in charge. Apparently the shift manager was the man serving in Greggs.

All blokes bogs shut. Huge queue of men for repurchased female southbound loo. OMG Moto you had one job!! Appalling

The worst I have experienced in Uk. Queues for loos both sexes. Grubby. Dirty. Smelly. Altogether dreadful. Avoid at all costs.

If you're coeliac on the M6, keep driving. Costa had the inevitable chocolate brownie or millionaire shortcake. Even M&S let us down. Ended up making up my own sandwiches from bits purchased at M&S. Feeling discriminated against.

From dirty windows to food on the floor. Table and chairs are never clean and tidy. Annoying Peppa pig machine. Limited choice of hot food. Not everyone wants an over priced burger from lack lustre staff at BK Or cold food that should be hot from Greggs. Or limited sandwiches from Costa. People Especially drivers staying overnight want a decent hot meal at a fair price. They can look after drivers in Europe but not in uk.

Who ever cleans the toilets here needs to think about a career change as they are not up to it!! Toilets were filthy, one even had s**t written in s**t on the wall!!

Very quick service at Burger King food was warm and toilets werent smashed as the other reviews say they were.

Stopped here with my 81 year old mother absaluly disgusting dated ! Dirty ! And rude staff at the Burger King services that charge the high prices should at least give some sort of value for money 😡😡

We were the only order going through, yet still took there time, when we did get served it was luke warm at best and never warm in the first place at worst - not to mention higher prices for a services

The toilet was cracked, dirty and no soap, the stairs and eating areas were dirty, unkept and run by young staff that didn’t seem to care 🤷🏻‍♀️Won’t stop at this services again on my regular trip from Scotland to England and back!!

We went to the Costa here on the way back from Manchester. The downstairs costa was looking busy so we went to the one upstairs - DO NOT GO HERE. There were insects and flies on the food. The service was so slow as there was only one person working here and they served me the wrong drink. Don't waste your time - go somewhere else.

We had the misfortune to call into these services during a long journey. I’m trying to summon up the words to paint a picture of how absolutely revolting this facility is but they are eluding me. Stinking toilets, litter everywhere, sticky floors, dirty tables in Burger King with no one in sight cleaning anything up. The food seating area is right next to the toilets so you get a constant waft of stale urine while you’re eating. The food was pretty grim too which surprised me as Burger King is usually relatively ok for fast food. Quite honestly the worst services I have ever been to.

Who on earth decided to have toilets at this service station with lids that you have to touch not once but twice! Water all over the floor in the stalls, and a system that you need a degree to use. If any one had any...

This is not up to the standard of expectations in 2020. In particular the external area is typified with rusty and worn fences and barriers, with general untidy and messy car park. Inside the individual outlets try hard but the general layout is a mismatch....

Busy service station, BK downstairs, Greggs and Costa upstairs and M&S food. Car park is poorly designed with tight access, when we left a bloke was trying to drive a van and caravan combo through the car park, I think he would be there for...

Stopped on the way home from the airport, we wanted something to eat, thought at least we would get fish and chips, went upstairs and found there is no restaurant there now only Costa. Downstairs only a Burger King Very disappointed.

Showing its age and in need of some freshening up, reasonable stores inside as you would expect M&S so OK quality. Biggest issue is the exit the service is at the end of the new smart motorway so the inside lane is also the slip...

It was a very busy day and the place was packed. We used the computer system to order our meal. We are a family of 4 (my wife, and two young daughters). The food took about 15 minutes to arrive. It was an uncomfortable wait....

Just an average to poor Moto services. They should take a step into Welcome Breaks shoes. Nasty toilets, rubbish outside, worn stairs, nasty car park etc... Only good this was they had an M&S

Never chose to stop here was used by coach company as a feeder point. Luckily only had time to use the toilets and were on our way. Nothing here gives you inspiration

I visited this awful place earlier today the hygiene levels of this place are even worst , first few pictures show the hygiene of the Costa coffee machine southbound . The man who was serving was outside smoking and then I said the costa machine...

Stopped here for a coffee break when heading North. We chose Costa Coffee, we both had flat white coffee’s, a posh custard tart and a cinnamon brioche bun. The coffee’s and the cakes were good. It’s a decent service station to stop at.

This place is awful the coasta is overpriced , 4.60 for a hot choc . No Starbucks at all . The food area has sticky tables with old food left on the tables . Food and drink spillages on the floor , bins overflowing with...

Stopped here for a much needed coffee and to use the facilities when driving up to walk the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge with my daughter. The flat white was pretty good, served with a smile, and the facilities fine. I seem to have lucked out...

What an armpit of a place. Sticky and dirty eating area. Awful, unclean toilets (no soap in the dispensers). Avoid at all costs, unless you are depressed and want to gamble all your money away in one of the many bandits!

Stopped to use the toilets and had a quick bite to eat at Costa in the food court area. The fish and chips were a bit greasy but the price was ok given its location. Service at Costa was very good.

This isn't a patch on the great service station at Gloucester. But for a quick loo stop and sandwich or coffee its fine.....lots of parking space. But if you're staying overnight then remember to use your Travel Lodge Key to get discounts.

We often stop here while motoring through towing our caravan, there is no dedicated caravan parking area but I have been able to use the coach area with my blue badge. Great choice of eateries, lift access to the restaurants on the bridge, we often sample Greggs, today we tried. Burger King, ordered via terminal, quick service, collected at counter, food was piping hot and tasty, even the coffee was good, a far cry from McD’s. Well organised spot, YT obviously can get very busy.

On the way to visit friends we stopped for a drink and a toilet break. The hot chocolate at Costa was superb - very sweet and very hot. The staff were personable and very helpful. The toilet facilities had been recently upgraded and were excellent. Very clean, very user friendly and very accessible - especially for anyone with a disability.

This has the be the worst and dirtiest motorway services ever. The toilets are so dirty even a homeless person would not use them. not many places to sit in here. No effort by staff to clean the tables and floors just a dirty place

Others have already said it, this place should be knocked down. The car park is a mess the toilets disgusting and the food choice really poor. This was like something out of the sixties. We went to Costa up stairs and the staff were really pleasant and polite but the food was pretty average.

Burger King south bound at about 9pm very helpful and tasty warm food. Fab service didn't use any other amenities.

This has to be one of the worse service station establishments I have ever visited. The car park is horrendous. Potholes and fading parking space lines make it impossible navigate when busy. Toilets are not the best. The cubicles are extremely dark.

Fish burger meal.... 3 overcooked fish fingers in the driest bun possible.

Stopped for a quick lunch. The whole table area was filthy. The bins were overflowing. All of the tables covered in rubbish and in a lot of places the floor. Half of the ladies toilets were out of order.

40 years ago visiting the M6 motorway services was the equivalent of an American Diner to us in England. Exciting eating crap food whilst watching the cars, vans and trucks thunder beneath you!.

Stopped at the north bound side for a quick bite to eat. We went to the burger king area. The floor around it was a mess, bits of food and packaging all over the place the counter top had lots of drink spillages as well as food and salt everywhere , they were not busy someone could have wiped the counter down at least!!. We were in a hurry so still ordered. Along with our food I wanted a latte for which the girl took my money for when our food arrived the boy serving us told me that I could only have a black coffee with milk satchet, that was not told to me when I ordered as I would of ordered something else. We went to sit down and even though there where only three other people in the sitting area not one table was clean. We cleaned off a small table sat downto eat in a very cold and dirty eating area. This was about 8pm I am sure the place got cleaned during the day if you are 24hr services then offer 24hr service.!!!

Seems a bit old and dated compared to other service stations we have been in. Needs a bit of a overhaul

This service area has seen better days a long time ago. It’s a pit stop and you don’t expect five star but the poor standard here is below acceptable. It’s totally neglected. The guy in Burger King seemed amazed our food was eat in and now I now why he was amazed. Need I say anymore.

Diabolically slow service, dirty, lousy staff, had to leave review as so bad. Only popped in as so low on fuel

Toilets are horrible. Seats are locked down by the person using the toilet before you after they have wiped themselves. They then have to shut the lid to flush. Then you have to put your hand on the same place to open the toilet lid. Impossible to use the toilet unless you want the germs/bugs/ecoli lurking there transferred to your hand. Avoid unless you have throwaway plastic glove to use. Worse toilets ever!!!

Fairly quick and prompt food (brunch) at eat and drink co. which was quite tasty really. Main issue is when I brought my refillable coffee mug, the food server actually filled up a disposable cup before pouring it into my reusable one negating the whole point of me bringing my cup....

I was for an overnight stay in the Travelodge hotel at the M6 services Knutsford ahead of an event at Tatton Park. I had a most pleasant time, very friendly staff everywhere, nice ice cold beer from WHSmith as good night drink, easy parking, all the facilities clean and well maintained, perfect! Nice coffee / breakfast next morning, all was good! I'd be more than happy to come back and recommended already the place to my colleagues at work!

Stop off for food on a long slog from SW a England to SW Scotland. Feeding was necessary and we chose BK food was freshly prepared and extremely tasty... service was a tad lacklustre... but overall experience was good...

Driving up the M1, stopped off at the Moto Knutsford Service station to use the toilets and grab a coffee.

Typical motorway service station with the standard range of shops and fast food. Ideal for a quick break and a comfort stop for yourselves and the kids. It was a little dreary, cold and food queues are very slow.

Stopped for food in the Moto Restaurant. I had the chicken burger with bacon and chips. One word, foul!

Generally dirty, smelly loos, piles of rubbish in the Burger King area which we only didn’t have to sit in because the service was so slow we got back in the car and went to the next services.

The toilets were filthy and stank. We waited for 5 minutes in a long queue at Burger King while the single server didn’t even complete one order, so we left without eating. Won’t be stopping there again

We stopped for breakfast and opted for Greggs for a change. My wife and daughter had a bacon roll and a coffee each and I had a southern fried chicken & cheese baguette with tea. Everything was good and at just over £10 for the lot it was good value for money especially for a service station. We got some shopping from the M&S; shop and got a discount for being an AA member. Only complaint was that the tables were not wiped clean.

Dreadful service from team member on the till ar 10;00 on saturday morning on 4/11/17.

Stopped off for a toilet break and a quick bite to eat. I achieved the first of my aims but didn’t bother with the second as the seating area for the Burger King is right outside the toilets and all you could smell was pee. There was rubbish everywhere. Yes I get it was a Sunday night but that doesn’t excuse the mess the place was in. Moto should be ashamed of this place!

Visited here with my family as was staying in travelodge and then heading in a coach to Spain the next day.

I stopped here whilst on my way home from York the staff were ok but that's it the toilets were barely ok but other that that ok

Had to call in here to feed the kids as the traffic had made us over 2 hours late. Overall the services were as expected however the service at burger king was so slow it was almost impossible. The lad behind the counter started by greeting me with "sorry for your wait" he also ended wit it. If he actually said it with some conviction. I could have accepted it, however as he greeted every single person with it..... one the food was eventually served about 22 minutes later he also apologised for the wait. Come on at these prices you can employ 2 people!!!

It did cover all the normal things needed for a travel stop. There isn't a great deal to choose from food wise.

Stopped here for s quick costa M60 was crawling so glad to stop, but it was packed with people having same idea. Everything fine

It's not a very nice place. Stopped for a coffee and a sandwich. The tables were all dirty and the toilets smelt. However my two labradors were travelling with us so I walked them over to a grassy area where they proceeded to plant out two steamy dumps (which I cleaned up). I'd highly recommended taking a dump on the grass area instead of going into the toilets. It's much cleaner and fresher. Cheers.

Floors dirty, full of food, food and litter everywhere. Staff are a joke! What message is this eatery giving to travelers! Lazy staff for one. Poor customer service, dirty, not doing their job. Similar in John Lennon airport.

Stopped here for a burgerking ....thought u can't go wrong ....shocking service waited 15-20 mins to get served one of the drinks was wrong then took the takeaway back to our car .....wish we hadn't bothered the chicken royale with cheese we paid for ...no cheese and the lettuce was brown ....Don't bother!

A pretty average motorway service station with the usual shops and eateries (WH Smith, Costa, Burger King, etc). Just a place for a toilet break! Note - the Travelodge is excellent value for a stopover!

Went to the ladies toilet, all were locked except 2, hardly any toilet roll, no soap, dryers didn't work then went to m&s; for refreshments, 2 drinks and 2 packets of chocolate nearly £9 and to top it off the fridges were not working so had a warm drink!!

Stopped off for a coffee on the way back from Manchester Airport, went to Costa. Absolutely disgusting! We were given boiling hot drinks in think cardboard cups as they had ran out of the holder to go round the outside of the cup, so we had to use napkins to pick them up! The tables, chairs and floors were completely filthy and I mean like they hadn't been cleaned in a long time, to the point where I had physical crumbs and food stuck to my bottom from sitting on a chair. (Every alternative chair was covered in mess so had no choice) costa is pretty close to the toilets and the smell of urine is horrendous. We sat while our children had their drinks for about 30 minutes and nobody even attempted to clean any of the mess, I'm in disbelief I've never seen anything like it. Burger King was also opposite where we were sat and we saw a male member of staff drop something on the floor and pick it up and but back on a surface... not sure what it was but surely anything dropped would need to be washed?! Or food binned! Just a horrible, smelly, dirty place.

Desperate for a coffee and something veggie and hot I was deeply unimpressed with this service station and will in the future simply drive past.

We stopped for Coffee and drinking chocolate on a long drive back from the North of Scotland to the /south of England. We just needed a comfort break and although it was near our normal evening meal time we did not want any more services food so opted for Costa Coffee for hot drinks. The service was slow, in fact the people in front of us walked away as no one had spoken to them let alone taken their order so we were surprised that the man serving asked us what we wanted so quickly. Guess you can only make drinks as quick as the machine does and he could only make one drink at a time so it was lucky for us that the people in front had left. Drinks were hot and the seating area was clean and tidy but there was no smile with the service and no thank you for payment could of been served by a robot maybe it would of at least had a recording thanking us for our custom.

Fast food it's not.....took 15 mins for food to arrive and that's having got one of our burgers back from another customer. The manager looked on as burgers were called back from three people and the staff then got into a huddle to work out which burger was which.

Travelling up north, we stopped over for a loo break and to avoid the rush hour traffic. On the outside the building looks a bit tired, but the interior was clean and tidy. Food and drink were expensive, but that is no different to any other motorway services, but all the staff we spoke to were friendly.

Arrived here before two pm _ very quiet _ enjoyed an Americano and fresh toasties _pleasant helpful staff _ then l visited the rest room to the rear of Costa _ very disappointing _ white out scarred windows in the corridor, skirting boards etc needing fresh paint very dismal and depressing _ prices typical, but until it's not all show out front and grubby in the back!!! Will give it a miss next time.

Greggs at Knutsford Services (on the bridge) has, without fail, corned beef pasties on offer at 6:30am. This is all you need to know.

Visited Thursday 23/02/17. Coffee was lukewarm and I had to ask for a replacement I don't know why I bother with them!

Stopped here on a long journey Southbound. The outside is tired looking and a bit shabby, but the inside is well kept, clean and spacious. Small but perfectly formed, all you need and if you want food, you have a choice of who you want to be ripped off by - usual suspects; Costa, Burger King, M&S;.

Needed a break on a long motorway journey so stopped off here. The service station in general is below par. The Costa area was a shabby dirty smelly place. The only good thing to say is that there were tables and chairs outside and it was a warm sunny morning.

We visited the southbound site. The facilities are much the same as most Motorway Service Stations, but what is unusual is the layout forming a three-sided courtyard with pleasant architecture and some surprising statues! Other that that the food facilities offer ok grub - but expensive.

Typical services. High price to a captive needy audience but at least they are clean and well kept. Toilets had paper n doors that lock so that's a bonus.

An average service station with the basic things you'd expect. However, the price of some of stuff is so high that only the Cheshire Set can afford it! Almost £8 for a burger and fries? This is Daisey the cow meat, not prime beef that lost a sword fight in Spain! Total rip off. Bought a bag of unhealthy crisps and left!

Not the greatest of services although good view over the motorway. Usual shops with average food and extortionate prices. I did enjoy a muffin and gingerbread latte which was almost worth the cost after a long journey even served with a welcoming smile which was nice. (Upstairs Costa)

Stayed at the Travelodge which is located at the Moto Services, Found everything clean and tidy, Only issue was joining the motorway due to the roadworks and had to stop at the end of the slip road due to lorrys been so close together and i could not find a gap in the traffic to get onto the motorway, very scary

Average services, the toilets were not at their best when we visited but it was ok. There is M&S; food shop so you can get a decent sandwich. The other food on offer is the usual fast food variety.

There are a number of shops, cafe's and restaurants including Whsmiths, Costa Coffee, Burger King, Greggs, and M&S.; The Toilets were clean as was the general place. Not a bad place to stop to get off the M6.
