First time paying over £4 for a small americano. Rediculous.

Absolutely appalling customer services. Clearly did not want to serve me or listen to my order. The staff continued to talk to each other. When served my order , they don’t know how to make macchiato

My glasses suddenly broke and whilst quite blind, Hana and Kim from the Sandbach Southbound branch were absolutely amazing! Even though I just asked for tools to do it myself, they went the extra mile of fixing my glasses themselves and doing as much as they could to ensure my glasses wouldn't break again for the rest of my journey. Honestly saved my night as I still had a very long drive and unlike other staff at Roadchef (at McDonald's) they actually stepped up to help. Big love to Hana and Kim :D

Ordered eat in but was given takeaway.

We visited the Costa Drive through on Aug 5th after a long journey. It was a much needed respite. Our server (I didn’t catch their name but they were young, blond and masculine presenting) was so warm and friendly, really putting us at ease when we struggled to order (I have disabilities and my dad has never ordered on my behalf before). Our server went the extra mile and even made sure I got my Costa points after I wasn’t sure how to use the app. My chai latte was delicious and my croissant was lovely and buttery!

When served my order which was then missing the syrup I asked for (as they weren't listening) the staff member was rude when asked if the syrup was in, requested I needed to pay for it as he hadn't charged me. If it had been a genuine error, absolutely, but I got the distinct feeling as I approached the till it was an inconvenience.

£2.50 for a bottle of water ! Apparently water isnt £1 with a hot drink as the hot drink (cortado) wasn't large enough for that offer to stand. The cortado btw was £4.05

When I say that this is the BEST service i have recieved, i just don't mean in coffee shops, i mean ANYWHERE! I dont give this sort of praise easily as those that read my reviews know but the way i was treated from start to go was simply impeccable..thank you to SOPHIE, DAN and KAREN for literally blowing us away..keep it going guys and hopefully your seniors will read this and use your skills to encourage and train other Costa employees..👍

Such friendly and efficient bunch! Recognised a couple of staff from another recent stop. Kind and interested in the customers journey. Great coffee and yummy cakes. We really appreciate how great this particular service stop costa is. Your employees make the difference. I’d choose great service over great coffee. Can't get an order right. Nearly killed my friend who has an allergy

The last time I visited this Costa, the experience was pretty poor. This time it was even worse. Not that many customers (about 4 in front) and with 4 behind the counter, I expected a quick service. No Chance! How long does it take to make a couple of cups of coffee and charge someone for them. Too long TBH. Can't say this will be back on our itenerary when travelling North. I find it impossible to describe the poor standard of Service Area provided by the big 3 of Moto, Roadchef and Welcome Break. I really think the monopolies & mergers folks should be addressing the fact these places are so dire. Been a year since I last visited - unlikely to be back.

I stopped off for a coffee during a long journey. Despite there being four (very young) members of staff, service was very slow; especially for a simple double macchiato. And then, the "trained barista" served not so much a double macchiato as something akin to a cappuccino.

I did self-service ordering for the first time - SMALL Latte and LARGE Cappuccino - only to realise when we were on the road that the cappuccino was the incorrect size. The server clearly didn't read the ticket properly so, unfortunately, you end up doing a part of their job for them. Complaining wouldn't work as they will likely stick up for their team and blame the customer, which is plain wrong. In-person serving for me in future.

Shambolic non-existent service from the staff at Costa Coffee inside the southbound services on the M6 at Sandbach. I stood there at the checkout for 8 minutes without even being acknowledged before I eventually put back everything I'd picked up to pay for and walked out without a drink and without my lunch. The two members of staff plodded through the two orders they were working on without even bothering to say hello let alone serve me. Complete ignorance. Not a training issue either, just completely brainless people.

Terrible Customer service, an older member of staff in particular was clueless, intimidating and not helpful at all. As people of colour we had a negative experience which we noticed was directed only to us as the white customer after us received a warm welcome. We were also talked down to as if we didn’t understand what was being said when in fact the staff didn’t know anything about their own rewards system.

Terrible service food was ice cold wrong drinks and an appalling attitude from staff. Would never use again

I have visited many, many costa stores across the UK and never have I met such lovely, kind, amazing staff as Carol and Jade at Sandbach services. They truly are a credit to your company and deserve all credit and recognition you can give them. They make the start of every day just that little more fun and happy. What truly amazing people.

I was completely disrespected by the Staff today,they turned down a completely valid discount card ,talked amongst themselves about me under their breath ,and dirty looked me ,I went over to the services across the road for them to treat me considerably better yet referring to me as the one from across the road ,making it perfectly clear that the manger had continued to talk about a customer disrespectfully to more colleagues ,utterly disappointed in the mistreatment .

I was really looking forward to my flat white today after battling sleet and snow. It was a cardboard cup of hot milk. Worst ever. I'll be asking for a refund.

Whilst the service area was dismal, at least the Costa was serving nice coffee. They really need to sort the surroundings out if the are to attract customers.

Bought two lattes on out way to Manchester both were made quickly and were hot on arrival young girl called jade served us and we got some biscuits and muffins on her recommendation they were really nice will stop by again

Terrible Costa - my reusable COSTA cup that I use everywhere was refused as they said they couldn’t label the cup as it was busy or it was soya so they weren’t allowed to accept ? I’ve been to costa 100s of times and uses reusable on multiple occasions. Disgusting - on top of that they didn’t even knock the reusable discount off and I was told I had to pay full price ? Horrible experience

We regularly used to stop here for coffee. Will no longer do so unless they remove the touchscreen ordering, for the following reasons 1 Hygiene issues, how regularly are the screens sanitised? 2 The customer is expected to do some of the work of the staff yet the coffee still costs the same. 3 I don't order food from a photograph, the customer needs to see how fresh, or otherwise, the produce is. When we visited today there were no customers, the two staff leaning on the counter watched us with gormless expressions. So we didn't bother and drove on to where there was a Starbucks.

Awful service. Rude miserable staff. Expected more at the price. They weren't busy, so no excuses. Couldnt hear what they were asking due to masks and bullet proof screens. Get your act together Costa.

Great warm customer service with a smile! Highly recommended to coffee lovers

Dreadful service. Will not pour coffee into your cup. They could do this with no risk to themselves and without touching your cup but insist on passing you their cup which she has handled. Also insist on putting a lid on which she did using the whole palm of her hand over the top of the lid. If she had the virus you are certain to get it by drinking from coffee provided from here! It seems as long as their staff don't catch it from you then it's fine for them to pass it on to their customers!!

All the usual and their seasonal Costa products available. Prices a bit higher than on the high street. Can be a little noisy in the main seating area, the section off to the right of the counter is quieter.

My husband and I called into Costa South bound at Sandbach Services. A young lady working her first shift was very polite and welcoming to us we not only had great coffee but an excellent cheerful welcome. We will definitely call again if we are passing that way.

Review for the DRIVE THRU on M6, Sandbach, Motorways Services. Excellent service by the young gentleman, who gave me exactly what I asked for despite me being very confusing (I was very tired). He was very professional and friendly. I could see through the serving hatch that he was keeping the 'kitchen' very clean and tidy. The best Mocha I have ever had. Lots of froth and the perfect temperature. Highly recommended.

Stopped off here for coffee and was impressed by the service received. Quick and easy from ordering to leaving. Would definitely stop off here again.

Dissatisfaction with pricing. Why do they still charge for two shots of coffee when only one shot has been requested? Sometime weeks later. Who needs Costa now.

Asked for an oasis from the mcdonald's next to it and got a strawberry milkshake mixed with my oasis. asked to be swapped and they said 'that's how it comes out' I bought a second one and came out the exact same. I don't know what they were serving me but it wasn't what I asked.

I had to stop for a toilet break and coffee so went to Sandbach Services, just off the motorway.I was pleasantly surprised.It was clean, not too noisy, busy but not packed.Ladies toilets were clean and smelt fresh. Costa staff were really friendly.Being a single female traveller, I'm always a little wary about stopping and going into services, but this was nice.If I need to stop again, I will go here.

A nice cappuccino after a food shop

Ridiculous high prices - over £15 for 2 teas and cakes. We had choc tiffin & tart that was heated, awful and we didn't finish it was so horrible especially heated tart. Came away regretting we had totally wasted so much money.

Great pit stop on our journey, Parking is easy, plenty of good seating and friendly staff quick to serve you. Prices on par as you would expect making this a perfect pit stop on our journey.

Serves all the Costa favourites with a smile, well most days. Stroop waffles are really yummy, but you might have to remortgage your house of you get them often.

I have called here a couple of times on my way home from University. The drinks are not overly hot. Order large...cup only 3/4 full. Both times I was served by the most miserable woman, who never spoke. Didn’t even tell me the price, just grabbed my money and practically threw the change.From then on, I have preferred to use the Costa machine at WHSmith...also cheaper!

Costa Coffee South bound services at Sandbach. Why can't the staff smile or use the simple words of Please and Thankyou . Someone needs to tell them it's a service facility and it pays their wages. Personally I will never use Costa coffee here again. Not that it will bother them, but hey ho.

Welcome stop here Sandbach services whilst in heavy traffic on M6 Clean, friendly quick service. Traffic jam had cleared after coffee so all good in the world again :)

Typical service station Costa with inflated prices. The coffee had no taste what so ever and lots of uncleared tables. very poor experience.

Popped in on way home mint infusion tea and egg and mushroom muffin very good. At 11pm staff very friendly

Needless to say, had to pop in to use the facilities but also feeling a bit peckish...There is no way on this earth that I will be remortgaging my house to pay for food at these services (which probably goes for the rest of the rip off joints around the country) but there is something that they could do here with all the profits; re-line ALL the parking bays. What I thought was a parking bay was actually a junction that didn't resemble a junction at all.Sort it out

Just don't buy sandwiches there. They were dry, unappetising and VERY expensive. We shall not be returning any time soon.

Grabbed a flat white on the go. Was well made and they even humoured me and dropped the sugars in with the espresso. Meaning you don't need to stir the drink after it's made. Just lid it and sip it.

Great coffee and the whole place was very clean and tidy even the staff were clean too

Standard Costa service with all the usual coffees and many more that I couldnt describe-hot, cold, thick, thin.

Friendly staff, smaller car park with a 'different' layout that leads a few astray. Mind out for them cutting across. Costa itself was great.

We had vanilla lattes which were good lattes but could have been hotter. Had a great panini which was lovely and hot and tasty. Service was quick.

Stopped here on the way to visit family in Barry. The service was efficient - very prompt and given by a very personable young lady. I was surprised at the quality of the service. As ever - the coffee was excellent and good value for money.

Stopped over for a quick break as were coming down from Scotland, asked the staff for some milk for my 2 year, they filled the bottle half and remaining with froth..got charged £2 for it, not done.

Popped in to Costa for a bite to eat and drink. It was what you would expect from a Costa. There was a good choice of sandwiches and cakes and the lady who served us was very nice and helpful.

Arrived just after a coach party, meaning the queue was huge with only 2 staff serving, so took a long time to get served. They were friendly and polite but our lattes were essentially just regular coffee, nowhere near enough milk. Not the normal Costa standard.

Long wait at 7pm, ordered Vanilla Lattes, not made correctly (too little milk in both), won't accept Costa coffee club cards, & didn't give a receipt.

We stopped of here for an unscheduled rest break during a long 10 hour journey. It had all the amenities that you need to refuel either yourself or your car.

this was a pit stop but the area was neat and tidy . toilets were clean and refreshing . coffee was a bit too expensive , but then you are a captive audience

You could spend all day here quietly reading or working, has all its normal drinks good etc, not great parking in Sandbach so could be a problem but otherwise ok other than it's very expensive really on a par with other shops that serve drinks but you pay for quality here .

We live in Sandbach and like Costa. Yes cleanliness is up and down and that's a bug bear but generally we like the buzzy atmosphere. Most irritating thing is how they always start cleaning ready for closing way ahead of closing time. We nearly walked past today thinking they were closed because the chairs were on the tables in the front at 3pm when closing isn't until 5pm?!?! Mop and bucket are here ready, in the middle of the shop. Stop it please, it ruins the feel of the place and devalues your paying customers.

Called in for a coffee with husband while in Southport. What a mistake. The place needs a good deep cleaning. And the staff need to learn how to make a cappo. Certainly won't be going back to this Costa

Recently enjoyed a quick Costa fix and nice though it was the Barista needs his practice I mentioned his first flat white was in need of practice, he agreed the second one he did was better....... Try try and try again as they say;-)

tables and trays dirty. no semi skimmed milk and I don't think they could give a damn. I've just got into the Costa thing but I don't this I will bother from now on

It seems a shame but one of the problems with cafes in this country is the state of the empty tables. More often than not this is the case in Sandbach village Costa.

We called in at the Costa branch at Sandbach services yesterday on the way to the Lake District. I ordered two skinny lattes to go, and attempted to pay using my hard-earned Costa points. Several minutes later, after several attempts at two tills, I was told that the machines weren't working, and I had to pay for the coffees. While this was going on, the manager then logged in to the first till and tried to charge me again....!

For a motorway services this Costa was better than expected.
