Great Costa with good coffee, nice service and clean environment

Food poisoning alert!!! I had gone to Costa and enjoyed their chai latte. Within an hour, I was feeling nauseated in the car and it continued all day and even into the night. Next day, I vomited twice and was feeling really ill. I know it was the latte because I hadn't eaten/drunk anything besides the latte.

Typically Costa Coffee, but service not up to the usual standard. Two staff working on one single take away order whilst customers queuing, wouldn't last ten minutes in my local which also has a drive through.

Store was not up to usual standard. Floor was littered with bits if food and serviettes. Several tables had not been cleared. Toilet had toilet paper strewn on the wet floor and the handbasin was dirty

The table layout could do with some consideration. It resembles a load of furniture chucked in a room! The staff are mostly pleasant, although not overly chatty. The toilet is usually swimming in water! Not my favourite Costa venue.

Just ordered a takeaway white coffee. Long wait. Not even busy. Coffee is luke warm and weak. If a coffee shop can't make coffee.....

Such bad service and the lady behind the till who is the current manager I think is extremely rude! Tables never clean, extremely slow service when it’s not even busy and very rude. I try and avoid at all costs the only reason I go in is coz my kids love the babyccinno In there!

One of our local store but to be honest it's totally uninspiring. Looking it's age and desperately needs money spending on it to bring it in line with some trendy ones in cities. Considering the area of wilmslow been supposedly up market this let's it down. Just a bland do the job experience nothing else.

Long wait if you drop in at the wrong time. Don’t be fooled by the place being half full. Woefully understaffed for a busy throughput site. Pre-order or be prepared for a frustrating delay or simply try one of the many alternatives nearby.

They served us two wrong drinks and terrible service

Unfortunately Costa are going downhill fast. Poor customer reception. Alderley Edge is typical. Staff demotivated. Be careful Costa you will soon be off the high street.

Disappointingly bland Costa store even if it’s relatively new. Staff friendly enough but painfully slow with service. Inside is bland and a little uninviting. Outside seating area is worse still and the two concrete planters look sad.. Internet broken at time of visit.

Nothing worse than staff with an attitude. When you ask for take outs, and your aware that closing time is soon. Other customers sat around but the staff faces lack of eye contact says it all. Then when you get the drinks they are not nice thrown together in annoyance. If closing time is at 5.30 in house serving stops at say 5pm takeaways at 5.20pm. That's fine signs up and say so. Being sharp is not right.

Very cold. They jam the door wide open - even in freezing temperatures early on a winter morning - presumably to try to attract more passing people into the shop. It makes it very unpleasant for anybody who has bought a coffee and wants to sit inside. When I asked the (only) staff member on duty, she said the manager had told her "they are not allowed to close the door because of Covid", which by now (Feb 2022) sounds ridiculous and totally dishonest. Avoid this store. They are only interested in your money, not your comfort or experience. It is poorly staffed and queues can be very long. Starbucks directly opposite or Caffe Nero (2 mins' walk away) are both far better.

Love the coffee and toasties. Stuff pleasant.

It was the only place that was open for a 20 mile radius on New Year's day when we were out on our 50 mile bike ride! We were so thankful that it was. What a beautiful establishment and location! Must be amazing sitting outdoors in the summer. Food was small portions and a little expensive, but I guess that's the definition of a gastropub??

Staff are good and quick better coffee and cheaper than Juniper. Clean and cosy inside

The decor and furniture felt a little tired. The floor needed a good sweep as there were crumbs and bits of food underfoot.

Service was so slow we eventually gave up and walked out. Three girls behind the till. Only one serving the other two intent on getting food for themselves. Hopeless

Ridiculously slow service. 2 people in front of me and it took 20 mins to take my order. Then a further 15 mins to make the one drink I was able order after being told they didn't have alternative milks.

Not many seats inside now that covid regulations require social distancing.

Under the current restrictions I think Costa are doing well. We managed to sit in and the 50% was a pleasant surprise as we had forgotten about it. As soon as a table was vacated staff fully cleaned and disinfected it. Coffee was as we expected from Costa.

My cuppa of decaf tea was very good. Also their granola bars are very tasty.

Me and my 2 other friends asked for a hot chocolate with marshmallows and cream and to sit inside costa and they just left my drink and didn’t tell us so we eventually realised and she put it in a take away cup with no marshmallows or cream. Very mad. Payed £3.70 ! Plus they didn’t take the two dirty cup and saucers away from the last person.

Best cortado that I have ever tasted! Beautiful coffee art for a great presentation, prefect texture foam and the espresso was remarkable

Dirty tables and dirty cups everywhere. They were only serving in takeaway cups as it was too much trouble for them to wash up. Toilets dirty and a broken lock.

Good service, I took a service user there for coffee and a cake, the lady behind the counter very kindly exchanged my clients cake as he changed his mind, very kind of her.

Unfriendly and not informative staff, I get you wanna go home but if you're open till 6pm dont start lagging at the end. If you dont have certain items either tell each customer or take it off the menu.

It's the waiting. Called in on a Sunday afternoon prior to dropping guests at the station, fortunately we had plenty of time. Waited between 5 and 10 minutes for a couple of Americanos. To be fair there was a case of spilt coffee but that was because the table legs were uneven and the management should have that sorted.The problem with the chain cafés is that whilst your queuing you're not with your friends so time is lost. Waitress service counts for a lot. Also, there are plenty of coffee shops around and I'm quite sure they'll do you a takeout in double quick time.

Costa is my ‘go to’ choice of coffee shops, so when shopping in Wilmslow this Friday my friend and I went there. This has got to be the the untidiest and dirtiest Costa I have ever visited. Almost half of the tables had not been cleared and cleaned. We had to move a dirty tray of cups etc onto another table and try to clean the table with our own tissues; we saw 2 other people doing the same. The floor in the toilet was dirty. On our way out I noticed 2 members of staff having a meeting at one of the tables - whilst surrounded by uncleared tables!!!!!! If I’d had the time or the inclination I would have complained to them but felt I would be wasting my time as they were obviously not very efficient managers if they could sit in such dirty surroundings. Come on Wilmslow get your act together and don’t let Costa down!

Friendly staff & excellent coffee

I like Costa, good coffe and my daughter loves their ham and cheese toastie but their Gluten free items are extremely limited and not always available in store. I have noticed over the last few months that getting the points added to my card is hit and miss, I don't know if it is me or the system but I beep everytime.

Excellent coffee as always! Love the new mobile ordering, drinks were ready in less than 2 minutes and we were able to jump a queue of at least 6 people! Suits my misanthropic nature to a tee!

I’ve been coming to this shop for nearly two years (!) now and I have to say the staff there are fantastic. No matter how busy the place is, they’re always cheerful, friendly, and happy to help - they even remember my regular order! I have absolutely no complaints from all the time I’ve been going there and the staff are a real asset to the company.

It all depends on the staff and availability of product. Staff were 'fine' a bit in the zone, fresh bakery products limited.

Eclectic but lovely, good coffee and food for all types.

This is a grubby place and the service is slow but the coffee is the best. Always take away.

Wilmslow costa coffee is one of the most dirtiest coffee shops I've been. There was food on the floor, food down the chairs. The toilets are disgusting. The only good thing is the coffee it self.

Food and beverage lovely, but one of the staff was cleaning the floor and dragged all the furniture across the floor. The noise was most irritating, just like being at the dentist.

Coffee is great but every time I visit it is hard to find a table because of all the previous customers empties are all over the cafe.

Staff not at all welcoming. Was a regular, now I'll be spending my money on other local businesses instead of feeling unwelcome at the famous Costa. Go back to the motorway where your service is ignored because the drivers just want a coffee
