Morrisons Cafe in Lincoln

I came her yesterday with my mother, and I was discusted at the look of this cafe! When we got there there were no clean trays! We got sandwiches and went to get our hot drinks, and I turned a mug over, and it had tea stains in it! Do I use a take out cup instead, grab some cutlery for our hot drinks, go to our table, and sit down! I pulled some sanitary wipes out of my bag and wiped the cutlery, and the dirty that came off, it was absolutely awful! To the point I'd didn't look like it had been washed! I then wiped the table, and that looked like it hadn't been cleaned either with the crap that came off that. When we were waiting in the queue to pay, there was a member of staff waiting to get his lunch he was looking at the cake/pastry section and picked up a doughnuts up with his fingers! I mean, do they even have any hygiene training? Then, when they had the slushy machine, one of them had leaked! And it was all down the side. I have worked in this industry for 11 years, and I have never seen anything as disgusting as that cafe! Never in my life will I walk in there and eat or drink in there! This needs to be sorted if that's what the cafe area looked like! I can imagine what the kitchen looks like! If EHO walked in there yesterday, they would have had a field day, and they would have been given a 1 star hygiene rating or been shut down!

Staff lovely, ordered small breakfast, beans cold hash brown under cooked poached egg cold. Would of asked for another fresh. But i qas going to work.

Absolutely disgusting experience , rude staff and not helpful at all. Dirty cutlery and I got spoken to like a piece of dirt when I asked for clean ones to use. The tables were filthy. Staff have absolutely no idea what’s going on even far as giving my order to a totally different family who although they were trying to tell her that it wasn’t their order she continued to put the plates in front of them, I physically walked round and told her that the order she had there was mine only for her to storm round and slam it in front of me. Food was terrible , stone cold and I wasn’t even allowed time tk take my pick of the sauces. Drinks were unavailable and staff not helpful when asking what I could have instead since I’d paid for them. Absolutely disgusted with it and won’t be going back again.

I always find that the measure of a good cafe is the cutlery you find in there. Well, the knives and forks in Morrisons cafe actually hurt to use, the handles are slightly sharper than the eating implements. And don't start me off on the teaspoons. Oh go on then, if you insist. Teaspoons this cheap and tacky are an abomination, a disgrace to humankind. And when I say tacky, I mean it in every sense of the word. They are lighter than balsa wood and almost struggle to push the hot water around your cup. And the handful I collected in the mistaken belief I'd picked up one of them were all dirtier than a rugby scrum in a quagmire. Despite all the tables being numbered, the staff don't seem to have much of an idea what's going on and just arrive at any table hoping for a lucky strike. The food was passable to be honest, but nothing at all memorable.

Poor quality and barely cooked food, dirty cutlery, surly staff, grubby tables... I just remembered why I don't come here.

This cafe is like a see-saw... first time I went, around ten years ago, it was disgusting, I even asked for my money back. A few years later I tried it again, and what a delight; it was delicious and well worth the money. Over the last year, I started seeing things change and lesser quality food was introduced, in fact the sausage was awful. Today I went and was really disappointed. The meal was only tepid, the sausage was horrid. the egg was snotty, and no more tomatoes included in the meal. The Hash brown and bacon was passable (even though the were not very hot) The toast was an improvement though and done with a very nice bread and ample butter given. Shame I only had a snotty egg to dip it into. They have a new help yourself drinks machine and offer a selection of speciality teas, which ranged up to decaf and English breakfast. I have always had Earl Grey, but none available, even though the assistant did his darndest to try and find some, but no, I had to make do with ordinary tea. The prices have gone up, maybe because you can refill you drink as many times as you wish. It took me all my time to cope with the mediocre tea I had to endure. I feel that this cafe is going downhill again

While having my windscreen replaced in the car park, this morning I treated myself to a full English and managed to get some work done at the same time. I turned up before opening time but the staff cooked my breakfast on their own time and charged me when the till opened at 0800. So .... hat tip to them for their flexibility, warm welcome and hot coffee. Also kudos to their manaement team for allowing staff the flexibility to put customer satisfaction first. Also £10 for breakfast and unlimited coffee is great value.

Terrible food, terrible service, tables were dirty at 11am and were still dirty when I left at 11.45 (before the lunch rush). This used to be a good, cheap cafe. They have increased the prices but the food quality has gone down and the service is sh*t. I had poached egg on toast. It looked disgusting, tasted disgusting and was barely warm. It takes ages to get served a hot drink, the cutlery is either not there or is dirty. This place needs to be shut down and re-launched with a new company. It is so bad that I now shop less often in the supermarket, at least I can get a decent cup of tea at Tesco!

You need to make it clearer that customers have to go queue up to get hot drinks. We waited half an hour for our order then were told we had to fetch our own drinks. My boyfriend then queued a good ten minutes for our drinks whilst our already luke warm food turned stone cold. To add insult to injury the man serving drinks told me bf he'd missed his timeslot for the drinks. He kept telling my bf his table number was no longer an active order. Even if we'd have known to go get the drinks within our allocated time slot (also not made clear to us) then we'd not have had a drink by the time our food finally arrived because we'd have to have drank it whilst still warm. Meanwhile I sat there watching our food going cold, unable to eat because apparently it's too much effort to bring out cutlery with food orders. Not only that but there were tables stacked high with dirty dishes and food. Multiple customers left the cafe after seeing there was nowhere clean and clear to sit and eat. A family had to request someone clear a table and when after several minutes someone came out to clear the dishes they totally ignored the other tables which were stacked up with food and dirty dishes. Nearly £20 for two stone cold breakfasts a 30 minute wait and being refused the drinks we'd paid for wasn't the best dining experience ever! You need to sort out your service Morrisons!! Also, would it kill you to serve some decaf tea and coffee???

This was our first & last time in this cafe,.. The tables absolutely filthy, with trays full of food, which hadn't been cleaned or cleared away.. Staff were miserable & unhelpful, not a good attitude when your dealing face with customers.,... The tins which hold, knives, forks & spoons, were dirty & full of bits & these containers appeared not to have been cleaned in a very long time!! The ledge which hold the cutlery containers was also very dirty & I dread to think what was on it!!!.. The young man who served our food, didn't even speak to us,. This has got to be the worst experience I've ever had & if I'd been able to give zero marks, I'd certainly have given it..!!?

Paid £19 for all day breakfast, full English, chai latte and a cherry hot chocolate. Paid on screen then went to grubby looking drinks counter to collect drinks. Informed after we had paid that no cherry syrup so had caramel hot chocolate instead. Was able to drink our drinks straight away as they were warm not hot. Oddly mine still had a hint of cherry. I had not asked for any sugar but at the bottom of the cup found a pile of undissolved sugar (probably because of the temperature of the drink) No idea what husband had but it tasted nothing like a chai latte. Just a strong taste of cinnamon so tasted more like cough medicine. Husband went to get cutlery, but no napkins so was given a piece of blue paper. Returned to get a different knife after being unable to clean it. Food arrived after 25 minutes and was not feeling hopeful due to the amount of tablets around us sending their food back to be reheated. Had to ask for some bacon as they had forgotten to put any on mine. They took my plate and returned about a minute later, suggesting the food isn't cooked to order and probably sits in those serving dishes for a few hours. Bacon warm, sausages hot, hash browns and mushroom warm, tomato and beans cold. Poached egg, perfect. Toast dry and didn't seem to have any butter, although it did have a slight buttery taste so assume it had a small amount on there somewhere. Had to keep coat on due to coldness of cafe, as did all the other customers. If my hot chocolate had actually been made hot I could have warmed my hands up, but it was not to be. Disappointed. Should have saved our money. It's really gone downhill since we visited a few years ago. Won't be back.

Ordered help yourself drinks from our table, went up to collect & did not have what we ordered. Told ‘sorry that’s all we have today’ when drinks ordered were more expensive than those available, was offered to have an extra bottle. Ordered a veggie breakfast alongside a normal breakfast, 5 minutes later told no veggie sausages can swap for a veggie burger - okay no problem. Another 10 minutes go by.. no veggie burgers, asked if would like a refund on veggie breakfast or just on the sausage. Said just the veggie sausage please. Staff member comes back 5 mins later with cash of full breakfast.. thought this was a gesture of goodwill after the previous issue.. then the normal breakfast arrived. Wouldn’t be getting veggie breakfast as we had a refund! Poor service all round this morning.

Absolutely disgusting I am grossed out the food was cold and my mushrooms were hard the chips were burned and the forks was gross had to sent my food back to be re cooked still it was gross and hard the state of the place was gross and expensive for what it is never come back it is disappointing

The food was totally disgusting, cold, cremated ( all day breakfast at 4.30ish pm) Absolutely disgusting, appears to have been sat all day, was cremated and cold, couldn't cut bacon or hash browns, Poached eggs were totally hard and disgusting, Toast was like warmish bread, had barely seen a toaster and was dry, not even offered margarine or butter, Flat white coffee's were flat cold, we did get them changed whilst waiting for the disgusting offering of so called all day breakfasts, but the replacements were awful, not flat whites, so.rthing made with water and splash of milk, instant coffee ? The young woman couldn't remember which was the decaffeinated one so I couldn't drink mine, also it was served in takeaway cups as all the cups were being washed ( empty cafe, just us 2 and 2 more ladies ) When the so called food arrived we were told the knives were unavailable as all in the dish washer, When we did get the knives we had to clean them on tissue, they had food on them When we Arrived and went to order food at the self check out we couldn't find a staff member to help us, There were no table numbers available causing confusion. Eventually after calling out, outside the kitchen a staff member informed us just to put any table number into the machine, By which time the order had cancelled itself and we had to start over again We have been using morrisons cafes for 20+ years, and have never been so disgusted, This cost me £19, Which was supposed to be my treat to my husband, We, like the other customers are absolutely appalled We should have sent everything back and requested a refund, but by now it was getting late and we were in a rush to get home,

I went in the restaurant today and purchased a Christmas lunch , it was disgusting for what is charged in a cafe , the food was platic frozen with powdered potatoes , it litterally made me sick,it was also cold, never again

It is by far the worst cafe I have ever been to, it should be shut down. I went for lunch, meal deal, no trays or plates, was going to get a hot drink but massive queue, as the young lady had to do the till and drinks, felt sorry for her as she was clearly stressed. Had to wait sometime to be served then went to get some cutlery only one knife and that was dirty, to be fair the whole place was dirty with plates everywhere, couldn't wait to get finished and get out, will never go back again, one star was being generous.

One person rushed off their feet doing everything, tables piled high with old plates and cutlery, poor menu, poor coffee, nothing really good about the place

Very poor, ordered an afternoon tea, which says come with a sandwich, scone and tea for one…we went to collect our drinks which we had to wait about 15 minutes before anyone came to the counter, only to be told the tea wasn’t included and if we wanted one we’d have to go back in the queue and order it. All of the food is as cold, rude staff and slow service…avoid!!!

Morrisons cafe used to be v good before the revamp, now its the worst and have stopped doing many food options which made it far better like before, one being no cheese and mushroom omelettes bring it back is a must.

In Lincoln and hungry at lunchtime i filled up with petrol and went into the store thinking to buy a snack, I saw a new style fast food counter near the entrance. Promised a quick lunch and bonus points i odered .. such a disappointment! "Cauiflower rice" was soggy and almost wet. Shredded chicken was bordering on dry and tasteless .. at least the barbecue sauce had some bite! I won't be looking for this service arriving in my local Morrisons.

We thought we would try the new morrisons restaurant, although the new decor is great, the food and service was terrible....the management need to ensure that there are enough staff....there was only one lady to take payments and do the drinks, one lady clearing the tables and I assume someone cooking. Had to wait 30 minutes for our food , by then our drink was stone cold...the poor staff were run off their feet....come on managers pull your socks up!!!!!....

Had a few meals at Morrisons Lincoln before the lockdown and always good. Following lockdown the menu was greatly reduced and even then they often didn't have many items.It has now been refurbished and........it really couldn't get any worse! Firstly you have to pick a table before ordering hot food at the till but when it is busy how do you know if somebody ahead of you hasn't already given that table number? If they have you're gonna have to dash around and find another table, holding up the queue behind you.The self service drinks table has gone and you now have to queue up again after paying for your meal to get your drink. On a busy day you can wait 10 minutes just to get your drink.Today my food went to a different table first and then I realised why....the portable number on the table was different to the number on the table itself. No organisation.It has definitely gone downhill and isn't a nice experience anymore.....and I think i'll be going to Sainsbury's in future.

I wish I'd followed my instinct. Prior to shopping in morrisons, we thought we'd have a quick breakfast. Nothing quick about it! Took ages for food to come. When our breakfast eventually came, bacon was not in the least bit crisp, food was greasy and luke warm. The girl brought one set of cutlery! How hard is it, to work out? Two breakfasts need two sets of cutlery. We won't be coming to morrisons again, everything about it was poor, our breakfast, stock levels on the shelves and expensive.

Just ordered a toasted sandwich at Morristons cafe at Gamston.To put it politely it was absolutely disgusting. It makes the toasties on a famous Irish airline seem gourmet quality. Felt sorry for the grief the poor staff at the front end were getting having to serve this rubbish.The head of catering needs to urgently review and perhaps investigate new career opportunities

I've been here many times so this is more a review of the overall usual experience of the cafe rather than a specific visit.The service takes forever. If you're there for a quick meal then be prepared to be waiting half an hour or even more. But why? (Especially when it's so clear stuff is mostly just wrapped in cling film or something and stuck in a microwave to reheat).Oh yes, it's because they're completely understaffed. According to people that have worked there long term, most new workers usually quit within a week. Behind the scenes drama means that they don't have a stable workforce to provide efficient and reliable service.This also affects the front of house. It's not uncommon to see a dozen tables with leftovers still sitting there waiting to be cleaned. And even after they're cleaned it doesn't guarantee they'll actually be clean. It's often difficult to find a free table without spillages or crumbs.The cutlery station is often unstocked or containing stained utensils. Most of the items are just water stained but it's not unusual to see gravy or mushy peas residue.It's easy to see why the menu is so cheap. However, they are often out of stock of several items on the menu.In conclusion, just go somewhere else. On the whole I find Morrisons supermarkets more than satisfactory, but the Lincoln cafe is definitely subpar.

Nice latte and cappuccino only one scone left. Coffee and score good. Plesant girl who served us bit did not stop talking to a friend all the time we were in the Barista Bar. I was not issued with a track an trace form as required by Covid 19 rules. I had to ask for the form. Two people left the bar but the table was not cleaned and sanertised. One table had dirty cups etc The young waitress seemed more interested in talking to her friend. She even walked with her to watch her finally clear the table. The only reason we called in was for a coffee because a couple of weeks ago without the distraction of her friend gave us a Covid 19 form, cleaned tables as soon as people left. This made us feel safe for a coffee.

My experience at this particular Morrisons was not a pleasant one. The food was nice don't get me wrong and the staff polite. However, the faults far outweigh the positives. Most of the food was gone when we got there (at about 1pm), and the poor man in-front of me had 2 meals only left to choose from for his kids.The table was not particularly clean the floor underneath it still had the remains of the previous patrons spilt on it. For my croissant, i was given no plate, + had to request butter + a knife, which was thrown on my try, which was still wet from disinfectant. After waiting in a queue for what seemed an eternity, the food i had to eat off of a napkin sadly was not worth it anywhere near. I did expect more from a chain that in other Morrisons does such a good service.

Arrived at 11 20 for breakfast, waited 50 minutes to be told they then couldn’t serve us breakfast. Every table was dirty. We were sat on a table which hadn’t been wiped and had crumbs all over. No communication to let us know we wouldn’t be allowed breakfast.The best of it is that they let 4 tables in from behind us because they were having cold food yet we were never asked. Avoid at all costs especially with the awful organisation of the place. It wasn’t even busy!!!

Morrisons offer a varied menu with plenty to choose from and at reasonable prices. The entrance to the cafe has two self service order points for credit & debit card pay only, the partial self service counter for light refreshments and drinks, has the main order and payment cashier in attendance for cash or cards. On payment the customer receives a numbered card with directs the waiting staff to the selected table. With the variety on offer and depending on how busy they may be, the waiting time can be, and often is, extended, and can lead to negative reviews. The staff do check if everything is ok with the meal, which is appreciated. The cafe area and table arrangements are quite adequate except in extreme cases, and it would be a great help if customers would keep their tables tidy and remove their plates etc to the tray stands provided.

My friend and I called in for a meal. I have not been for quite some time, and must say we were both disappointed. My friend had the fish and chips, stuck to the paper that was on her plate. There was one bottle of vinegar doing the rounds! Im not sure whst was in my veggie burger but I took it out the bun and made a chip buttie. Will not eat there again, very disappointed.

I have been to the cafe for breakfast with family three times in two months and the breakfast food has been declining to the point that today was the last time I will ever eat there. We had a variety of cooked breakfasts and they were all awful. The service was perfunctory no smiles or welcome. Orders were incorrect and food not cooked properly, tomatoes hard and almost raw, hash browns the same and food was lukewarm. Very poor service and performance.

Came in for breakfast, my son emailed company no reply back . We ordered two breakfasts . Bacon came out barely cooked . Asked for it to be a little crispy. Came back within seconds of being in the fryer . Mushrooms tinned and cold . Tomato hardly seen the heat . Egg popped . Toast white . Hash brown and fried bread tasted of dirty grease . Waste of 12 pnd

Second visit to cafe. Ordered breakfast, waited ten minutes, worth it as food arrived well cooked and hot. One of the better Morrison cafes. Nice and clean.

Quick service, hot food to order and came in good time. Portion of mac n cheese was huge and came with chips. Cold sandwich was fresh. Nice little cafe, went Saturday lunchtime while shopping so very busy but tables clean and staff pleasant.

1st visit here for a few years. Breakfast was unremarkable but OK and served very quickly. Didn't like my toast being buttered etc in the kitchen - no idea what was used and poorly spread.

We thought our lunch was pretty decent. The staff were very friendly and polite. Food came in a timely fashion. It was plentiful and tasty. Maybe the quality is average but it filled us up and was affordable. Great if you are in a hurry or unfamiliar with the town.

As there was only a vegetarian breakfast on the menu I asked the member of staff if it was vegan friendly and she kindly supplied the allergen list, which I used to discover that the Quorn sausage contained egg but thankfully the hash browns were okay. I was therefore able to order the vegetarian breakfast with no eggs or sausage but with an extra hash brown and mushrooms instead, together with baked beans, half a tomato and a slice of toast. The breakfast arrived hot and tasted okay, although I dislike canned sliced mushrooms which tend to be used in these types of establishments. The staff were pleasant and polite and I was asked during my meal if it was okay. The Americano from the coffee machine was reasonable but it could have been better. As far as I can see there are no other vegan options on the menu apart from possibly the 5 bean chilli, although this is just marked vegetarian. This breakfast could be improved with vegan sausages, fresh mushrooms and dairy free spread for the toast.

Well what can i say . we ordered roast beef dinner. When it finaly arrived half hour wait . the beef was like shoe leather. Mash was cold and lumpy. Gravey i think we had 2 spots on each plate. And yorkie puds mmmm cold and as hard as rock needed chain saw to cut it. What a disaster. Poor value morrisons very poor. We ask for more gravy and got told they fetch it we never saw it. Coffee machine gives half a cup of what ever but certainly not coffee. Be a while before we go again . terrible service .

When coffee machines are faulty or running out of supplies staff are very slow to replenish. New self service machines state "100 extra points" I have been using it visually every day since it was installed but have never got a 100 points. Not very good Morrisons.

We discovered Morrisons café a couple of years ago whilst shopping there. The coffee was good, it had a very good choice of sandwiches which were tasty and well filled, and the prices were very reasonable. Sadly not any more. Over the last year they have drastically cut the choice of sandwiches, and often don't replace them when the shelf is empty. They seem to have ditched them in favour of cooked food that has to be ordered. From a business point of view I cannot imagine that this is efficient or profitable. The quality of this food does not look good from what I have observed on other peoples tables. It is more complex and takes trained staff to produce it in comparison to sandwiches. It may be this overload that is causing the problems with broken hot drinks dispensers going unfilled, complaints about the safety and quality of hot food, unclean utensils and tables etc. No doubt a decision made in the boardroom, with no thought as to how it would be implemented by the staff.

I’m sitting in this very cafe panicking. I’ve already ordered and I’m waiting for the food to arrive but I want to run for the hills instead. We couldn’t find one table that was clean. The edges of the tables are absolutely filthy and I mean filthy. There’s no way I’m putting my clothes near that. A load of tables haven’t been cleaned and there’s still dirty crockery everywhere. The floor is filthy too. My daughter wanted Fanta but there was a hair hanging from the spout. So she got Diet Coke instead but there was a dodgy looking film on top of the coke.

From a long queue to be served, 2 coffee machines 1 broken, most drinks not available in the other for over a week as per staff.

Really needs a good overhaul in the cleaning department. Refurbished but not kept as new, chairs need seats taking out and cleaned properly. Tables need a good clean. Trays are never really clean and/or left wet. Replenishment of food and drinks not kept on top of. Should be tongs to pick up food. Crockery needs a deep clean. Side plates often still dirty and wet and coffee mugs often not clean.

I’ve been to the Morrison’s cafe in Lincoln a good handful of times and every time it has been above and beyond the best! so I took my mum there and when we arrived it had changed a little, we ordered our food using the self machine things but couldn’t order drinks so still had to queue up which took about 10 minutes for drinks.. the knife and forks were dirty and covered in old tomato ketchup, i ordered the fish and chips from the cafe for it to arrive (40 minutes after ordering it) barely warm, the fish I could tell it didn’t look quite cooked (very pale in colour) I tried it anyway to make sure as by this time i was incredibly hungry.. to find the most grease pouring from it, the peas had a hair in and the chips were so undercooked I wonder why they’d put raw chips on my plate.. the cleanliness of the windowsill/light shades was probably a 2 out of 10 at best.. I went to complain and the lady on customer service was lovely and we spoke to the cafe manager and she couldn’t apologise quick enough, gave me a refund and offered me and my mum a free meal on return.. it wasn’t until later when I had got home that I became really poorly, spent over a day in bed, being sick and had diarrhoea, I wasn’t going to leave a review as I was happy with the apology but I don’t want anyone else to spend the night like I did..

I visited Morrisons Cafe at about 6pm on an evening, as I was tired and didn't want to cook myself! I had a lot of choices (visible on their website menu) and eventually decided on lasagne, as it's not something I would have very often. I ordered this with chips, and decided to also have garlic bread. Friendly staff cooked to order, and it was delicious!

Lovely breakfast here , not been since it was refurbished and liked the decor, staff very pleasant and watched as they carried a tray for an elderly lady, nice to see , will certainly return as a good and varied menu.

The food was poor tables were not cleared, overall not good maybe they have upped their game I have not been back

A supermarket cafe offering the usual fare of quick snacks and meals which are excellent value for money.

Not very big but a good choice of food and sancks very clean and staff polite and friendly.It was a very hot day but the cafe was nice and cool

A friend and I had a lovely breakfast here today. the café has been done up and is quite nice.

I went here for the Big Daddy breakfast that was advertised with all the hype in the national press.. on arrival it was short of an egg and a sausage, I only noticed it half way through as it was all flung on a smallish plate. My thoughts are that it was very overrated and not worth the money as it was not fresh and looked as it had been cooked a couple of hours ago. also the ingredient were of cheap quality.... wont be going back. 4/10

But be honest all Morrisons Cafes are poor except one and that is in Bradford at the end of the M606 and that is where the head office is.

I've been a few times, food is cheap but not particularly nice and portions aren't generous. It's handy, though. But the last time I went was probably my last ever visit. My friend got served after 15 minutes and despite asking a few times when my meal would arrive I was fobbed off with 'it won't be much longer', or one of the waiting staff went to check and never came back. I was giving a free tea eventually as a consolation prizebut even that was cold when after 45 minutes a small, rubbery omelette arrived at our table that was barely warm and hardly edible.

Popped in for a speedy breakfast just before 8am but a manager told us the cafe wasn't open til 8am. She kindly said we could have the cold drink at the table and just pay when the til was up and running. That was fine, our meat free and little breakfasts arrived promptly and were quite hearty. The service was pleasant and efficient. Everywhere was lovely and clean. It would be great to have the cafe opening earlier though.

Popped in here for a quick snack but it took over 30 minutes for my toasted panini and chips to arrive. The quality of the food was poor, the tea wasn't pleasant and the cappuccino from the machine was the worst I've ever had!

Popped in here to try the Christmas menu,I had the salmon which was nice and my hubby had the turkey but it was quite rubbery which was dissapointing,when finished our main course we were sat for 20 mins with no sign of our desert so asked a member of staff for it,took another 10 mins to arrive

Having waited 20 minutes for a flying start breakfast, a relatively small meal, I asked one of the staff how much longer it was likely to be? Not long, was the response, unfortunately they were far off the mark.Having enquired again, I got to the 40 minute point and decided to cancel, and ask for a refund.I was referred to customer services . Having queued there, I was on the point of getting my money back, when a young lady appeared to advise that my breakfast was ready, after the best part of 50 minutes! Not impressed

I have been going to this place since my kids were tots, It used to be excellent, over the years they have changed and changed the way they do things, they keep changing the seating areas, the counter, the menu, If its not broken, don't fix it !!! The food quality has gone down, waiting time gone up. I,m sorry but I do not eat here anymore, I have been disappointed so many times, You could get a lovely good old fashioned breakfast here, fish, chips and peas used to be excellent, not anymore and I don't know why, It is a shame.

Went in for breakfast with my Son. Ordered a breakfast and it arrived in good time, hot and on a clean plate. Tables were spotless and the staff pleasant and easy to deal with. Enjoyed the food and went to do my shopping.

lincoln store cafe today the 27th july a group of 4 ordering as 2 couples, our friends food came out within 10 minutes ours was ordered 2 minutes after and never appeared until we asked about it to be told sorry it was left on the hott plate for it to be all crispy yet barely warm and expected to eat it which is vial. We then went and took it back to then be told fresh food is on its way 50 minutes later still nothing which i had to go and demand my money back as the service was disgusting and unacceptable to be told we whete now at the back of the cue to have our food and if we wanted to wait it will be out once other people have been served!!

We were visiting the University and just wanted a quick snack, so we tried Morrisons.

Ate here at teatime, waited 40 minutes for an egg that was like a bullet and 8 hard chips. Used to be really good, not anymore won't be back....

Popped in for breakfast, poached eggs on English muffin. It was beautiful, perfectly cooked, service was great. No complaints, we even went back the next day for the same again.

This place was always good for a quick bite while shopping. Last time we went it awful. Horrible tea with scummy water. Hard chips very dry and tasteless. Sausage greasy, eggs greasy and overcooked. Fish was some bland species that tasted weird with greasy batter. Peas hard and cold. I won't go on, no need really, nothing positive to say that's for sure. Is it so hard to produce very easy simple dishes?? It would appear so. Don't bother to eat there, not even worth the small amount it costs. But that should not be an excuse should it??

As a family of three, we had two cheese toasties and an egg sandwich.

It is fun to watch people there. the members of staff that do not know what they are doing and customers who cannot understand what is going on. It is a place to have a quick snack while shopping. not always it is quick however.

Not off to a good start no person on till, then no number to match meal ordered. Then got pot of tea when got to table and poured out no tea bag. My wife's cup also had to be changed as dirty. The gammon was OK but difficult to cut with blunt knife. My fish was good but the chips and peas bland. The strawberry cheese strawberries had not defrosted and still part frozen. The cafe was freezing with a blast of cold air round our feet. It has been revamped with new tables and chairs.

Myself and my husband decided to eat here whilst doing our shopping. The fridges were practically bare so we decided to have an all day breakfast. Whilst stood in the queue I looked around the restaurant which was messy with lots of uncleared tables and litter on the floor. The drinks machines were either empty or dripping and the pastries looked stale. My first instinct was to leave and go somewhere else but my husband was starving and convinced me to stay. After queuing for about 20 minutes the cashier informed us there would be another 20 minute wait for food. We ordered hot drinks and had to wait again to use the self service machine as one machine was out of order. When the food did eventually arrive it was revolting, lukewarm and dried up. We will not waste our money visiting this run down dump again.
