Easy parking food and coffee normal for Costa

Always very busy but friendly staff who do their best to get orders out quickly.

Best Salted Caramel Frappe I have ever had.

Just want to express my appreciation of all the staff at this branch - they couldnt have been more understanding, and gone out of their way to assist myself and my daughter when recently visiting the hospital in Lincoln and we were struggling to meet up due to her mobile running out of charge - many thanks

Very slow service, felt I was a nuisance just being there. Strange that at least half the store was cordoned off as it was clean ahead of the next days trading. The strange thing is it was only just after 4pm, the store closes at 6 🧐

Staff not interested in customers at counter, more focused on headers. Like a big playground.

Staff were really friendly and welcoming. It was clean. The service was quick for both drinks and warm food.

Ordered a salted caramel frappacino never asked if it was eat in or takeaway just assumedit was eat in, they did it in glass no ice wasn't impressed was the worst frappacino I've had.

Ran out of blue milk for flat white coffees.

No where to sit as all chairs very very dirty will not go again

We only had 1 bad delivered not two, still trying to charge me a “service” and “delivery” charge. Calling Costa didn’t help they say go through Just Eat the drivers are rubbish just one thing to check that they are delivering what’s actually been ordered?! Rubbish!

Best example of a Costa I've personally been in

Costa, Carlton Centre, Lincoln. Went in with wife after hospital appointment for drinks & a bun. Server (30, bald, beard, multiple tattoos) could not have been any more disinterested. Showed Blue Light card assuming they still took it, but was curtly told they’ve not done so for a long time. He then forgot the coke despite charging for us,, and was openly suspicious that my wife had in fact taken it to the table. Serious attitude issue going on here, completely out the blue, so to solve this problem easily, we’ll 100% not be back.

If you take in a photo of flowers currently in flower out in the hedge rows on a Thursday between 11:00am and 1:30pm they give you half price on all sandwhiches. I go every week for my lunch on this deal. I got a mozzarella and tomato sandwhich using this daffodil photo last week

Overpriced so I don’t really shop there but purchased the vegan sandwich to give it a try. I recommend it.

My Gingerbread Latte tasted very artificial. It must've been made differently, as previous ones have been nice.

This Costa is usually my go to, however in a rush I went to the drive through across the road and they gave me the wrong drink, by the time I realised I was the other side of Lincoln and couldn’t get ahold of the store by phone. Rang Carlton centre to find the number and the young man who answered was so lovely and helpful, two days later I popped in to get my replacement free drink and he remembered our conversation and popped me another free drink on my card. Monday was a stressful and bad day for me so he really went above and beyond where it wasn’t his stores problem to resolve. Thankyou!

Great example of a good Costa busy but not too noisy to spoil the atmosphere. My sandwich was over toasted - because it got forgotten amongst the business hence the 4 stars - otherwise great.

Food was good, coffee excellent. I always appreciate the way that Costa pack it all securely.

Good location and friendly staff giving quick service

This Costa is conveniently located near my local vet practice. It is always busy and the staff are always pleasant. I ordered a small ultimate blend cappuccino and a cinnamon roll to take away. Everything was tasty and I didn't have to wait too long, even though the coffee shop was heaving. I highly recommend stopping by.

Replacing items you don't have with items I don't want is unacceptable. If you don't have them, take them off your Just Eat page or don't send any replacements and refund me.

My usual coffee outlet was temporarily closed so I visited COSTA at the carlton centre I'm lmpressed clean,spacious, staff interaction excellent nothing negative overall great stuff many thanks (I'm not the easiest customer to deal with I'm extremely deaf) they never batted an eyelid again thanks

Paid 3.85 for a large latte asked for half shot of coffee as not aloud alot of caffeine as affects my medical condition .given a latte with the 2 shots wasn't very warm. Why don't staff listern to u.

I understand is hot outside, but the air conditioning is so cold that gets difficult to stay long time inside.

It's a Costa, on a bank holiday afternoon just before closing. OK, however never going to set the world alight.

I hate to say it, but I've never had a decent coffee from here. Which is a shame because we come fairly often due to the shopping around it and is a meeting place for friends. For example, I've had a couple of flat whites recently, which have both been way too milky, basically lattes. The milk is watery, over steamed, and temperature either blow-your-head-off boiling or barely warm. You can tell when milk is being re-steamed, possibly more than once, and this place seems notorious for it, especially during the busy times.

I ordered flat white and chai latte. Staff was so generous not to say she is running out of chai latte syrup. Went in to see if there is anything left. Couldn't find a fresh new one so spilled the left out from bottle and gave the so called chai latte without any flavour. But the charge was same for a milky taste drink. Never will step there again to waste my money

This place is usually busy, the coffee pretty good but the toilets are so messy. They could do with having a regime where they check and clean them every 3 hours or so.

Great Costa experience but very noisy. If you want a quiet drink and chat with friends this may not be right for you. If you enjoy a noisy atmosphere then all's good.

The food there is very good and the atmosphere is relaxing. The cafe is lovely and you can sit and enjoy your meal/treat.

Usual Costa. Can be cold sitting next to the automatic door. Large front windows gives great natural light into the place.

If you want your typical coffee made using overly burnt cheap coffee beans then that's your choice. I prefer to go to Mamma's bar near the post office. Really don't see why they still have this when there is another Costa close by with a drive through about 100 metres away, must be the joy of franchises, this owner is probably fuming.

Coffee machine broken down so had a very long wait, staff didn't inform us of the delay when we ordered

The place is clean and tidy. The staff are friendly. The only little thing is the seating is a bit cramped and not really that many tables. Also there is no where to take tray back so you have to leave table messy when you have finished

We enjoyed the vegan smoky ham and cheeZe toastie, accompanied by a black Americano. The staff were polite and pleasant when taking and serving our order. Busy as expected on a Saturday afternoon but there were bar stools available by the window in a sunny location.

Visited today for first time in a long time and was very impressed. New manager introduced himself and its clear to see that he's making an effort to turn around the fortunes of this Costa branch. Tables were being kept clean and sanitized. Both indoor and outdoor seating areas were well maintained. I was helped by having coffee delivered to my table, which was a preempted offer rather than a service having to be asked for. I found all the staff I had any contact with friendly and helpful. All in all a decent coffee in a relaxed, clean and comfortable environment; will be more than happy to return.

Took ages to get my soggy toasted sandwich and a coffee. Only to sit at a filthy dirty table to eat it! Toilets were disgusting. Advised a member of staff, whose response was, 'they should have cleaned last night hopefully they will do it tonight!'. She really couldn't care.

I come here regularly. Usually takes around 30mins to get a coffee (I must be coming at the wrong time ha) but the coffee is delicious and fair priced, it’s worth the wait

Terribly rude service, Long waiting, Dirty cutlery. Needs double the number of staff. Definitely needs rival coffee shops right next to it.

Very dirty place - tables full of pots - floor dirty and covered in debris. Order incorrectly taken and it took 3 members of staff to sort it out whilst the queue got longer. This Costa is not a patch on the other ones. Staff are disinterested and not friendly. The manager needs to sort it out.

I only visit this place if I'm shopping at the Carlton Centre and can get to sit outside. Every time I visit (which is getting rarer and rarer) it's in the hope of triumph over experience. As it turns out it's pretty much always a poor service. Dirty tables, dirty toilets, disinterested staff, inexplicably long queues as invariably there is only ever one trained barista on shift. Today at 5.15pm the bakery was empty and three quarters of the restaurant closed off. The manager (female) slagging off customers, saying she can't understand, in her view, why customers are so rude. I can...the irony clearly lost on her. Other Costa outlets in the city are far better than this dump.

Not sure why the policy at the Carleton Centre of only having one member of staff before 8 am unlike other places I've visited. Come on Costa. 7/8 in a queue with one member of staff at the busiest times. For those grabbing a coffee before work can I recommend Starbucks as I did this morning. No queues and 3 staff on duty. !!!

This branch of Costa is understaffed or there are too many staff hiding in the back room! Had to queue for ages. Only two staff (a young lad and a young girl who was later replaced by another young lad)were serving and were doing an excellent job between them while other staff were nowhere to be seen.

Not impressed with my visit to Costa this morning. Poor coffee and food. A poor experience, usually a good one.

Having enjoyed the gluten free iced fruit slice I was pleased to see a seasonal addition to the limited vegan range. It looked good and tasted good and was complimented by a large Americano. The staff were pleasant and professional and busy all the time which meant that they were playing catch up with clearing the tables. Apart from this aspect the cafe was reasonably clean and tidy, although senior management should review the size of the team required throughout the day.

Not bad cakes overpriced and not always fresh. Sandwiches are good but again overpriced, easy to sit and chill over coffee though. The tables need clearing faster and cleaned though

Dirty tables, dirty carpets, dirty toilet, stained cutlery. Been here twice, will not be going again until they get their act together. It is totally unlike any other Costa I have been. If it was the first time in a Costa it would definitely be the last.

When this place first opened it was a nice little stop, great for a shopping pick-me-up. It has started to go drastically downhill I’ve noticed in recent months and couldn’t quite believe our eyes when we called today. Rubbish & scraps of food all over the floor, parts sectioned off without explanation, dirty tables, only 1 useable toilet (which was filthy), cobwebs hanging down......couldn’t wait to leave (and wipe our feet on the way out!).

We stopped coming here about 6 months ago as tables never seemed to be cleared. Returned today and still the same. About 70% of the tables were stacked with trays and dirty cups. 4 members of staff behind the counter, nobody clearing tables. Really need to do better.

Went for a coffee with a friend. Had to ask what cakes where what as there were no descriptions/allergens or prices on any of them but the cake and coffee were good

This outlet is one of about 5 shops in Lincoln. They all serve brilliant coffee and chocolate drinks. Their coffee is the best of the best. I go to most of the costa coffee shops near on daily. Highly recommend costa coffee

If I am paying what I regard as a lot of money for a cup of coffee (why IS it so expensive?) I would at least prefer my coffee to be hot and not have to gulp it down before it gets cold. I spent longer in the queue than I did sitting down with my coffee!!

I called in today for a coffee and thought I'd leave a quick note to the lady who helped me with my tablet screen. I only expected a quick coffee, but the extra advice made it much a much more pleasant experience. Thank you!

On our Saturday afternoon visit, one person was taking the orders, two baristas were making the drinks, and another member of staff was clearing away and cleaning tables. I was surprised therefore to see a queue of people (which was a dozen people long at one point, despite most of their partners having found tables to sit at) waiting as much as ten minutes for their drinks to be made.

Do yourself a favour and walk 150 yards to McDonalds where the coffee is half the price and in my opinion better.

Nipping in here for a quick late Friday afternoon coffee I was served quickly and efficiently without any queues. Could there have been more smiles...yes, but as it goes I was happy with the service and with the quality of the latte too.

We went in for a coffee and slice of cake on a quiet Sunday afternoon. Three baristas ambled about behind the counter, and, with an evident reluctance, one served the three of us. Every table seemed to have been left to fester, with trays and crockery everywhere. I moved a full tray from the cleanest looking table and placed it alongside others on the windowsill, where newspaper pages were also scattered. I did see a member of staff delivering a full tray to an adjacent table, but she just meandered back to the safe zone behind the counter without a glance at the overflowing tables. On leaving, I noticed the outside seating area was uncleared as well with the usual evidence of smokers and litterers.
