Tesco Cafe in Lincoln

Decided to go for dinner pannine 1 piece of ham rock solid the jacket potato 🥔 with cheese was enimic hardly any cheese and small complained to manager who to be fair was very understanding told me me they had cut the portions sizes and was rashioning the amounts the top boses had implemented these new strategies for profit well you've lost me ...greed and greed

Actually really decent and decently priced, got a vege breakfast and as someone who is somewhat of a greasy spoon connoisseur it hit all the markers of success, fried bread was a highlight, also nice seating decent wifi and good place to work from

Cheap and generally pretty decent quality, I couldn't complain, got the vege breakfast and it was a 9 out 10 for a fried brekky, can't really ask for much more, other than maybe a few more mushrooms

part of my order was accidentally missed in a busy moment: but I got a call within a few minutes with an apology and an offer to bring it for me in person! Great customer service, and really going the extra mile!! Food is always really really good, so I don't mind re-ordering

Better quality bread would be a bonus. Staff are really friendly and helpful.

Staff was very Rude. From the moment we arrived we got told, “they’ll get it when they get it”. This upset me and when the food arrived the butter was frozen. The toast was burnt and the staff were extremely unpleasant and unapproachable. Tesco cafe will never be graced with my presence again.

1st I’ve been to this cafe in Lincoln, ordered the big breakfast, was absolutely shocking! Not worth the money they charge you for it, glasses was mucky, won’t be coming again.

The waffle fries exceptionally nice and tasty and I will be ordering them again

We all had a full breakfast and have to say it wasn't great.. Everything was dry the eggs crispy bottom.. Disappointing to say the least.

Very friendly very helpful, always go out of their way to be helpful. Food hot and tasty.

Went in for breakfast this morning. Lovely friendly ladies. Sausages and bacon looked very undercooked which put us off. No mushrooms or tomatoes on the big breakfast. All a bit disappointing really. Drinks were only luke warm.

Ordered two toasties cheese and ham when I asked If they could do cheese and tomato I was told it was all pretty packed food so they could not make changes so make you wonder if all the food here is prepacked and just being warmed up in Sheffield micro. The food we had was bland with even less filling it had more cheese on the top the any thing. Sadly this was my first visit here and it will certainly be my last for the cafe. Very very disappointing 😞

Came here for a spur of the moment lunch. All the staff were really polite and helpful through the whole of our visit. We were quickly served with drinks and seated, where the tables were all nice and clean, which is always a bonus! The menu has a good selection of food and is at a reasonable price. We had the chicken burger which arrived quickly and was really nice! Would definitely come here again.

Sad to say this was not good. We’ve eaten in before and it was good but this was not comparable. Anaemic sausages, forgot the toast off one of the “big” breakfasts…. Really poor quality and value for money……. Totally avoid.

Oh dear. The breakfast menu promised much but the reality was a let down. Scrambled egg and bacon on brioche turned out to be a child sized brioche bun with a scarmbed egg patty and a piece of bacon. Avocado and tomatoe on sourdough bread turned out to be a single slice of prepacked bread. On the upside the service was quick but we walked away almost as hungry as when we came in.

Incredibly poor value for money, £9 for a miniscule burger and fries and £3 for a cup of ice with a dash of drink in it. First time I've tried the place and it will be the last.

First time ordering from this cafe for delivery, Ordered the halloumi burger, crossaint with cheese and mushroom and the pink lemonade soda, it was absolutely delicious would definitely order again!

Friendly staff and good food and coffee. However, no obvious stand or area to get sugar and other condiments

Ordered a toasted goats cheese and caramelised onion focaccia for lunch Very disappointed ☹️ not enough cheese on it to even melt. It was like eating dry bread apart from the centre 2 inches that was slightly damp off the chutney. On a 5 inch bap that's diabolical for £4.50.

Simple food, made well and served by friendly staff.

The full breakfast ordered they initially didn't include the eggs. When complained they took it away and returned it 10 mins later with an egg and the rest of the breakfast was cold. The avocado with poached egg they originally served on the wrong bread so was returned. The replacement they bought out had peppers in it despite being ordered without due to allergy. We gave in and left leaving most of our food. Waisted time, money and left hungry

Ketchup was missing even though I paid for it so meant I couldn’t eat the food. Also no salt and vinegar included despite my request for the chips so very poor and hash brown was soggy so not edibleL

Happy little visit to Tesco’s cafe in Lincoln. Bacon butty and hot chocolate lovely on a cold morning.

Went for lunch today we had fish, chips and mushy peas WOW! Beautiful white flaky cod in scrumptious crispy batter, steak cut chips were crispy on the outside and soft inside tasted delicious, slice of lemon and tartar sauce I can honestly say it was the best fish n chips I've had for a long time and better than any chippie fish by far, the staff were amazing even though they were run off their feet. Will definitely go again.

They put it for collection instead of delivery.

So I had the full breakfast it came very bland The egg was cremated underneath The bacon was so fatty and greasey Mushrooms took a bite and just put loads of oil in my mouth like they was deep Fried Sausage came burnt on 1 side other side under cooked Tomatoes was clearly cooked in a microwave was the skin just fell of in your mouth (choking hazard) Black pudding just crumbled in my mouth tasted like Ash moulded into a circle please can you start cooking a English breakfast the correct way many thank you local food critic jack

1 Bap was missing the hash brown not really hard to get wrong when it was 3 of the same item ordered. Plus 1 piece of bacon on a £4.25 bap not very good.

Probably one of the worst breakfast I’ve ever had.. some food randomly chucked in a box with the worst presentation ever.. the toast was very dry without any butter on it, there were no eggs and it had probably about 20 grams of beans if that and not to mention the sausage was of very bad quality probably containing 100% fat with no meat in it

Food was disgusting. Hash brown was completely greasy and the toast didn’t even come with any butter to use? Not to mention they missed out a portion of it too. Won’t be ordering again

Order was short added extra bacon and sausage on 2 of the meals and it wasn’t there. Everything else was good.

Everything's gone to hell in a handcart since COVID provided the World's Best Excuse for poor service, and the Lincoln Extra Tesco Cafe is just the latest example I've found. I used to use the cafe regularly on a Saturday morning - pre COVID - as my reward for doing the weekly shop, and decided to resurrect the practice this morning. Service was slow. Really slow. Bloke with 2 kids trying to order breakfasts and milkshakes and cappucino and wraps..... the list seemed endless, and each preceded by the bloke asking these very young kids "what would you like?" OK, most of us have been there but the sensible move on the part of the counter assistant would have been to go get someone to take orders from those of us queueing. But no. Once ordered the food arrived quite quickly. But how things have changed. Small, thin and undercooked hashbrowns (which didn't actually taste very nice), a fried egg which must have come from a pullet, it was so small, a sausage which was one of those tough-skinned small items full of an unidentifiable paste.... really very very poor indeed, Tesco.

You owe me a quid. Asked for an extra sausage but it wasn’t included!

Great breakfast. Very nice staff. Situated upstairs at Tesco and overlooking the shop. Almost empty. Very good.

Yummy. Everything is fresh. Due to Covid registration, the queue is long. But the food was worth it.

Poor value for money and food was lukewarm. Swapped to Morrison's this week for food and shopping and didn't regret it.

Went for lunch yesterday after doing some shopping, There were only 3 tables occupied and hubby was 3rd in the queue to be served, he finally reached the counter after 20 mins and without a word the assistant walked off with an empty trolley , went round the back and reappeared with some more cutlery and then decided to inform hubby that there would be a half hour wait for hot food. At that point we took our stuff and left. This cafe is known for its snail pace service and its got no better, we will not be visiting again.

Excellent service, excellent food. The Cafe has adjusted during Lockdown, and is pleasant and highly functional. Very reasonable prices and overall Outstanding⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.

Excellent service although the young girl was on her own and the que was growing shes was friendly engaging with all the customers and extremely helpful nothing was to much trouble for her all the tables were clean and tidy

No improvement in over a year. Food is ok but at 1.30pm there were no tables as they were all dirty. Only half full yet they said it would be 30mins for hot food. I didn’t believe them as I wanted a panini and hardly anyone waiting so I gambled and it arrived after 10 mins. A poorly run cafe with average produce.

Restaurant is now back to what it used to be after a really bad spell, nice pleasant staff, good service and a good meal, good one tesco for getting your act together

Two of us went in yesterday and purchased to bottles of soft drink and two 'toasted' sandwiches. They were not toasted at all the top was lovely but the underneath was soggy. When this was pointed out to the staff member she went into a long explanation of how it was cooked. In all my years of cooking toasted means toasted not steamed then grilled on one side, it was slimy, we left it, £11 down the drain, should have gone to subway

It is a great space to meet and socialise. Would have given 5 stars but this morning the server behind the counter didn't acknowledge me when I went up to the counter, continued to talk with her colleague, complained that she was tired and didn't smile throughout my transaction. Felt very undervalued.

Why are tesco being so mean, there breakfasts just get smaller, sorry but after many years of faithful custom i am moving to morrisons, better breakfast, and cheaper and while I'm there i may as well by my groceries and fill up with diesel, what price a breakfast

Told at the till there would be half an hour wait for food. Our meals arrived a full hour later. Not worth waiting for.
