I regularly go to Knights woldingham, I can't fault it. Its magical. However the restaurant at Chelsham is very poor . I had two sandwiches to drinks and it costt over £20. Honestly they where the worst sandwiches iv ever had. Nothing like woldingham Dene. The food there is 1st class. Why.... I was thinking the menu and food would be the same as woldingham. .. but no. The sandwiches. We'll iv had better for school dinners. Absolute ripp off . I was very very dissapointed.. I expected better quality from knights, and by the way I think knights eolfing is a stunning place e and 5 stars .. Chelsham. Restaurant shamefully poor

We have used the restaurant for some time and have had positive visits, however since the restaurant has expanded the food unfortunately has deteriorated. My lunch today of quiche, chips and salad was not a good choice, the chips warm and soggy, quiche much smaller than normal also barely warm and the salad was limp and not at all fresh, this felt warmer than the rest of the meal. The staff are rushed off their feet and I believe they do their best but something is wrong in the kitchen as the last two visits have been awful. Maybe some investment on the kitchen staff instead of all the investment that has been given to the new extension which was also disappointing as there were so many items that had not been merchandised correctly with missing tickets/pricing...such a shame as this use to be a lovely garden centre to stop and enjoy some lunch

We have really tried to support Knights in Chelsham over the years especially in the restaurant but each time we go it continues to disappoint. We know there has been some improvement with the ordering system to your table now, as previously the queues were awful having to wait for people to be served hot drinks if you just wanted a cold drink or cake. Yesterday I took my elderly mother there for the first time for her birthday. The lunch menu is extremely limited as is (mainly sandwiches and Jacket Potatoes) but 2 of my party wanted burgers to be told they didn't have them today. 40 minutes went by and I had to go up and find out what was happening, another 10 minutes later and the food finally arrived. It always appears to be chaotic and lack of staff in the kitchen. They have spent a lot of effort extending the restaurant which is beautiful but until you sort out the lack of choice from your menu, delays in the kitchen, sometimes cold and uncooked food we will sadly not be returning. It really is a shame as this could be such a wonderful place. On a positive note, there is one lovely Asian member of staff who is always very proactive and friendly and looks like she works very hard.

Don't bother .Food prices diabolical. £6.10 for a very small bowl of soup no wonder place half empty. £6.50 for a plain jacket potato a rip off.

We visited Seasons for breakfast with high hopes, being regular visitors to Knights but having not visited the cafe. We left feeling disappointed, let down by the quality of the food and the long wait times. The cafe opened at 10:30 and we arrived promptly but found ourselves in a long queue. The prices were fair, with 5 or 9 piece options for cooked breakfast and plenty of cakes and pastries. The seating area was light and spacious and table service was in operation due to current conditions. When our food finally arrived we had to send a lot of it back. Partially because it was inedible and partially because they had brought us the wrong food. It was clear that the food had been lying around under a hot counter for a while (despite us being some of the first customers of the day). The fried bread was harder than Danny Dyer, and the bacon had hairs in it. And as for the hash browns, I’ve never been so let down by a potato in my life. We felt especially sorry for the waitress for having to serve such substandard food. She was very apologetic to us which we appreciated. All in all, it was a hugely underwhelming experience. It’s very hard to mess up a traditional fry up, but Seasons seemed to ruin ours with ease!

I visited yesterday with my wife. Lots of COVID precautions led to long queues but this is just something we have now grown to live with. My main gripe was the presentation of the sandwiches. A tray with rather unprofessionally cut sandwiches without the crusts cut off some curling at the ends did not look at all appetising. A price label of £3.95 laid on the top. I know things are tough for these guys but please don’t let standards drop too low. I still need to be attracted to your food and need to feel how wonderful it looks. This is not just a facility to feed OAP’s with very low expectations we do actually want good quality food presented well, If not we will go elsewhere.

Have been a regular visitor for coffee since Amanos closed. The service can be slow at times with little organisation between those taking the order and those fulfilling it. Table clearance is slow. The coffee is adequate if not great tasting. Has the feeling of a canteen with a lack of any atmosphere.

Great service, great Sunday Roast and staff really friendly and attentive. The bar had a fab variety of real ales and wines. Dining area was spacious I noticed the black board had details of upcoming events such as Sea Shanty evenings. Car park too which was really handy for our small children and walking distance for my mum. Will be returning.

This is a lovely coffee shop with friendly staff. I visited a few days ago and our server, georgina, was amazing. She was knowledgeable and answered our questions, helpful and generally all you could ask for when you don't really have a clue about coffee etc
