Costa Coffee, Ilminster in South Somerset

Asked for a amercano asked for hot milk, she didn't ask me for the hot milk to be added to cup or on the side in a small jug, she poured it straight into the cup, coffee not very hot

Not happy. We used the drive through. Had my toasted sandwich missing. Had to go back in. I was on a tight schedule, due to work. Staff member put my order on again and then gave it to someone else..! I could see my toasted sandwich on the side. To top it off I could see my toasted cheese sandwich being eaten by a staff member…..! So I had to ask again. Not acceptable and not one member of staff said sorry…! Service there is terrible. Won’t be using Costa again…!

Tables were messy, floor under our table had loads of crumbs.. hot chocolate delivered without all the toppings. Toilet dirty as if not cleaned properly for a while. Not good.

Stepped out of my SUV and immediately stood on either banana or aubergine skin’s carelessly discarded. Slipped to about 45 degree but regained traction and no harm done .My pride suffered as I don’t often go out without my older wife. Coffee order taken by 5,4 blonde lady but made by 6,7 slim guy .Both were smokers ,sorry smilers . Excellent but A303 is like an punishment from above.🫶🏿

Absolutely disgusting dirty staff not wearing gloves or washing their hands in between touching dirty surfaces & bins also touching headsets then putting food in oven coffee making area dirty & unorganised. Toilets filthy & soiled. Toilet paper & sanitary towels on floor. Bins in car park overflowing. After leaving here having eaten a heated cheese & ham sandwich a latte & a raspberry & almond slice. A couple hours later I was visiting the toilet regularly with upset stomach. I had eaten nothing but cereal that morning at home in a clean environment. This place needs a deep clean & then standards need to be kept. Don’t stop here you will get sick.

They go to so much trouble to make the display of food so tempting once you are in the store. However before you enter the paving outside looks dirty, covered in dried stains and litter amongst the table legs. Totally uncared for. Big put off.

Conveniently situated on the southern side of the westward heading carriageway of the A303 and just past the roundabout turnoff to Ilminster, the Costa Coffee outlet is a very good place to drop into for a drink and/or a snack. It has its own car park, plenty of seating (some outside), high chairs available for small children, friendly, helpful staff and the coffee is up to the usual good Costa standard. A drive-through service is also available. If you are heading east on the A303, go round the roundabout, head west for a very, very short distance and turn into the road leading into the car park. A one way system from the car park takes you back to the roundabout on the A303.
