Morrisons Cafe in South Somerset

Not very happy very expensive food was not very good value for money nearly five pounds for a toasty that wasn't cooked properly staff were no where to be seen waited ages to be served toasty tasted funny like gone off no onions in the salad the salad was very bland won't be back here again

We have lunch here on Fridays (work nearby). The food was extremely good and value for money. Sadly, it lacks of staff members so the tables stay extremely dirty for long times. The ordering screen was full of receipts on the floor and missing the numbers you are supposed to take to your table so the waiter finds you. I would strongly recommend they increase the amount of staff that look after that area.

Good points: This was a convenient option for myself and 2 grandchildren to have a weekend breakfast, and one of them could eat for free with a paying adult. My cooked breakfast was okay apart from a very overdone poached egg. We ordered pancakes with maple syrup only to be told (without a hint of an apology) that there was no maple syrup! Strange I thought, there's a shelf full of the stuff a few yards away! So we settled for the alternative of chocolate spread. To sum up: I wouldn't recommend this place, neither will I be rushing back.

We’ve been coming here for breakfast over the past six weeks, and while the food is great when it arrives, the service and customer care leave much to be desired. Tables often remain uncleared and unwiped. The older lady at the till can come across as abrupt and disorganized, making you feel like placing an order is an inconvenience. The cafe runs on organized chaos, and the ordering process takes far too long. As regulars of Morrisons cafes, I’m sure this feedback won’t come as a surprise.

All the sandwiches were out of date then as an apology offered free drinks by the server and never got them. Come here before and had good service but this time it was terrible.

Beans was missing and I bought ketchup and that also never came

We wanted scones with jam and clotted cream. There were two scones left, which were uncovered. I asked for the cream and was told there was none. The coffee and tea were quite nice but strange you have to make it yourself. Had a problem finding a clean table which was not littered with plates, food etc. Will not be returning.

Had food missing and the fryer up breakfast was burnt and the hashbrowns was soggy

Food was fantastic, however my wife found a hair in her breakfast hence the poor service score,

Clean. Tidy. Had the breakfast which was well cooked but the prices are creeping up I've noticed. Used to be excellent value. Still worth it but hope it doesn't increase further.

Where do I start! Ordered a breakfast and a kids meal, waited a total of 50 minutes!! This was despite being told after 40 minutes the food was on its way out! Miserable staff, coffee machines out of order for the entire 50 minutes and multiple customers demanding to know where their food was. Easily the worst cafe I have her been to. In addition it’s extremely dirty! We demanded a full refund with no apology for the wait! Do not dine here, you have been warned!!

Don’t bother, god help you if you want a drink, food was cold ☹️ could do with a staff training session I think!

I ordered and paid for a coke and didn't get it.

Good price breakfast deals. The place needs a good clean. Tables and chairs were fine but dusty around the separators...

Order completely wrong…. PAID EXTRA FOR THINGS. AND THEY WERNT IN THE ORDER!! WILL NEVER ORDER ON HERE AGAIN!!!order cost me nearly £35 and it’s not even £10 order worth!!

We haven’t been to Morrisons,Yeovil for lunch for a while.so thought we would go there for lunch, We ordered our food and went to sit down, we had a job to find a table that did not have dirty dishes piled up on them. We moved dishes so we could sit down to eat. While we were there waiting and then eating, which was about 40 minutes, we did not see one table cleared and cleaned. Also we went in for coffee about 6 weeks ago, both the hot drink machines were not working then and they were still not working today.

Stocks some things other stores done

Did some shopping popped into cafe at 5pm and a woman shouted out we are not serving food. They should be open until 7pm. Unable to give a food review but can review the service, being polite to customers would cost nothing and we would have returned another day. Now we will go somewhere else.

It’s hit and miss going by the reviews and reputation BUT when it’s good it’s great and this time was tremendous for us.

No white sugar sachets. A jar of sugar on the counter so you had to take your cup over for a spoonful of sugar. Only one bottle of vinegar for the whole cafe as no sachets. You had to walk round the cafe and hunt it down if you needed any. No one in the till half the time. Customers having to shout to get served. This cafe has really deteriorated in the last 3 years.

Unprofessional and unenthusiastic staff, lack of cleanliness and very limited food options. Avoid this cafe.

Very disappointing choices available. The order machine not updated to show what items are currently in stock. Machine not fully adding selected items. Coffee machines out of service as has been the case for some time. Poor hygiene, lack of items such as cutlery and long wait for food. Food ordered via the order point not delivered and was informed it had not been ordered. Unable to prove as the order point was also not producing receipts. Will not be eating here again.

Was quiet considering it was a Saturday morning. Ordering was fine but we then waited 35 minutes for our breakfasts to be served. There was no warning it would take this long or we would have gone elsewhere. Food was ok but wouldn't return due to lengthy wait.

Cafe not too far from our hotel which did not serve breakfast. Went for the deal of bacon butty + hot drink for £3 as good value. Served quickly and nice and tasty a good start to the day exploring the countryside

Overall the cafe was untidy, plates and cups etc.. left on tables. Disappointed to be honest. The child's meal was bearly warm. No staff in sight. When she gave us our food she was rude. Overall will not be visiting again.

No coffee as machine didn't work. Lipstick on cup .

I attended with my granddaughter. On arrival the restaurant was not busy - with only 4 tables waiting for service. I ordered the food on the machine and went to get our drinks to find that the coffee machine or milk was not working with no explanation. I asked the lady at the til politely did she know when the machines were going to be ready and fold she would find out. I then asked her if she could point me to the glasses to which she told me I would have to wait as she had to serve the customer behind me. I waited ten minutes before speaking to a young polite member of staff and asked him …… a further 15 minutes passed before receiving a glass then the milk. We had to wait again for the coffee machine to be emptied. A further 20 minutes later ….. a small over done breakfast was presented with a child’s chicken nuggets and chips which were clearly over cooked the chips were over cooked and some were burnt and too crispy to eat. The garden peas more like pellets. Appalling food and service and I am not sure how Morrison’s restaurant is able to stay open with the disgusting quality of food. The chef needs to be sacked. I wasn’t the only one that was not happy today.

Nice cafe with great food, service was a bit slow but wasn't in a rush. Recommend if you are hungry or want a quick something.

Not enough staff to give good service. We'd eaten our food by the time coffee arrived. Not staffs fault ,just not enough of them.

2 fry ups with tea less than 12 quid. No complaints other than the slightly victoriawoodesque tea ladies who were a tad abrupt.

All the time tables were dirty with pots left in them no staff on the till. Coffee was nice though when we got it

Sunday lunchtime only bacon roll available, no other hot food .Staff not very helpful or obliging could do with more people friendly training only told chief gone home busy morning. Lot of people leaving because of lack of food .

Poor selection of hot drinks infact only black coffee was available. No explanation to why machine wasn't working properly. I'm sorry but you well milk hot chocolate etc so no excuse.

Had a full English breakfast, was not the best I've had.

When we arrived we struggled to find a clear table, there were plenty of tables but full cups, plates and general rubbish. My wife want a small spoon to stir her coffee but she had use a dessert spoon, she wanted a knife to cut her cake, yes you guessed it no knifes, ask the staff for one ,she went of and give me one, but did not put anymore knifes out. Very disappointed.

The dishes to be mixed, the employees Fantastic food.. What I don't like is the windows to clean and need a little more cleanliness. That would improve the service even more.

When we arrived, we were greeted by friendly staff. We were offered a special offer of 2 breakfasts for £10. We sat at the table, where our hot drinks were served. Then we waited 30 mins before the food was served. By this time, our tea was either gone or cold. When the food arrived It was nicely presented but luke warm. Sitting in the restaurant, you observe others, and the vibe was that everyone seemed to be waiting a long time. One table of 4 had only 2 people served the other 2 sat and waited a further 10 minutes before theirs came out. It would be nice if we were pre-warned of the waiting time, but we weren't, and for this, we have given a low rating. Can't see us visiting again.

The breakfast is amazing and the sausages are so tasty.

Food was fine. Service was slow. Atmosphere not really applicable in this supermarket cafe.

Quite quiet when we arrived here plenty of comfy seating in alcoves . Service OK. Coffee and bacon roll OK but bacon looked microwaved not fried but this is a supermarket cafe.

My mum had fish and chips there were loads of bones in the fish and I found a hair in my chips this has happened before I expected better

Cold, tasteless breakfast. Seems to go downhill on every visit. Virtually empty but tables not cleared. Been using Morrison's cafes for decades but sadly I am done now.

Ok breakfast when you can get it. Inconsistent opening times at the weekend. Tried 3 Sundays to get breakfast and been let down every time. Might be better in the week but I wouldn’t bother again at the weekend.

We came here today hoping for Sunday lunch. Ordering machines weren't working and we had to ask for someone to come to the till. We were then told that there were no main meals or all day breakfasts. (A notice on arrival would have been appreciated.) We went to McDonald's instead!

Waited 50minutes for our food, no explanation, no apology. (I cancelled the order after waiting 50 minutes - would probably have been much longer still) Don’t go there.

Came I’m here today and was disgusting. The scrambled egg was grey! Worst breakfast I’ve ever had! The chips looked like they were left over from yestaday! Won’t ever be coming back!

Came here for food came here at 10:20 and its now 11:12 and no food not only that all the dirty plates and cutlery are still on tables and the staff are rude not helpful at all, I think if I went to hygiene and showed them the pictures I have I think they would have a field day here, disgusting I think change of people and management would do the trick Disgusting!!!!

Mid week fish and chips. Never again this is the second time we have been to Morrisons cafe and been disappointed. It used to be so good but it has really gone off the boil. The fish was nice, small but ok but cold chips and peas! really surely it is not difficult to cook fresh chips especially if you have had to cook the fish.

Well I’m stuck here for an hour, waiting for a meeting, and had a brie and Cranbury tasty, which was amazing! As good as anything you get in any pub for about three times the cost it was here! With entertainment provided by listening to the man in the next table telling his mother off for not picking up her clothes from the floor! Heartily recommend!

2 plates left on table, I asked if they could clean my table and someone just took one plate. Food arrived on time, I needed some butter and got up to ask If I could have some butter and the guy just brushed me off and said to go ask the kitchen staff. It Really needs improving. Food was nice though.

Snotty woman serving. Beans cold, the rest of it like warm, missing 2 different items on the plate with no notice or alternative offered. I generally rate a morrisons but not this 1!

Thought we would try Morrisons for a quick break order at self screen nothing to clean it before use coffee and tea came to table felt sorry for the mature lady trying to do it all no staff no buiscuits eventually was told no stock so had to get something else Bacon Bap arrived was like cardboard rock hard got it changed not as good as it used to be disappointed

Regularly closing 5pm and stating no staff all the time States they should close at 7pm

They are doing the 50% off and it was very reasonable even cheap

Food was nice, although it came with baked beans which we didnt ask for, server was nice as always. Bit of a wait , 40 mins, maybe short staffed as didnt look crammed, not sure . Nice friendly young chap on the till.

Great food service and very cheap

£14 for 2 large breakfast and 2 kids breakfasts with drinks too. All fresh and hot. Excellent value for money. Food was served very quickly.

Sunday afternoon visit to Morrisons for shopping and then to be disappointed with scruffy cafe with dirty cutlery and trays, sticky tables and unhelpful staff.

This is the second time that I have visited the cafe and have been told that they had sold out of the meal I wanted! Today they had a list of sold out meals....Is it me being stupid but just feet away there is a store selling these food items!! Won't be going again.

Kids eat free and menu is nice and simple and doesn't cost as much as a expensive restaurant so won't cost a bomb

After getting a few bits and pieces in the store we decided as it was pouring with rain that we would stop for hot drink to warm up. We looked at their pudding menu as we didn’t fancy a full meal and I went for apple crumble with custard and my wife chose sticky toffee pudding with custard and we both really enjoyed them. What I liked about the crumble it only had the slightest hint of cinnamon which didn’t over power the taste of the apple. I would even go as far to say it was the best apple crumble that I have ever had whilst eating out. And the cost only £2

My son and I went to Morrisons cafe for the beef roast dinner two Sunday's ago we were in Yeovil and I decided to treat him -it was the worst meal I have ever had the misfortune to have had put in front of me - the carrots were rock hard the four slices of beef could have been shoe leather the three roast potatoes-- well they were like pebbles I almost had a job to cut them - it was so bad that when I cut the beef and tried to eat it it stuck in my throat and I had to rush out to the loo where I was sick with what i had eaten off the plate before tackling the beef --it cost £12 for total meal and drink it was money thrown away I left mine he tried to tackle his but also left most of it disgusting -Morrisons you're cafe is an insult to food -- I had to also ask for a cup for my tea there were none displayed when we had our teapot just mugs hanging around I shall never ever go there for a meal again

Came in today at 11.30 for brunch with my husband & 2yr old grandson. We ordered 2 breakfasts & sausage & mash for the boy. We waited 45 minutes for our food to arrive, no apology for the long wait. Other customers were complaining about the wait & we saw people returning food as it wasn't up to standard. I had to ask for my grandsons dessert which we ordered when we arrived, we waited another 10 minutes & it still hadn't arrived so we left without it. The food wasnt the hottest & we were only given 2 butters for 4 slices of toast. The grilled tomatoes were raw & my grandsons peas were yellow. We come here often & today was very disappointing

Went for lunch with my wife and chose meals. Apparently the automatic ordering machine was displaying the half chicken and chips meal as unavailable. Mentioned it to the Chef and she said it had a fault and the meal was available. It was HUGE and very tastily cooked . My wife had that and I had fish and chips. Such chunky fish and the chips were just right. The service was fast and verey efficient in a very busy cafe. We also had very large and lovely sweets at only £1 each. Altogether a very filling and well cooked meal, served by a friendly and smiling staff. We will go there everytime we need to go to Yeovil.This cafe knocks spots over any others in Yeovil as it is so great value for money. Highly recommended!

We came here as a family after escaping busy traffic, we had never eaten in a Morrison’s cafe before so we were pleasantly surprised, it was easy to order on the touch screen ordering system, and our hot food arrived quickly and great quality for such a reasonable price too.We would like to put in a special mention to our server Richard, he worked tirelessly to ensure every customer was happy, he was friendly and polite and obviously loves his job, he seemed to be the only one rushing about serving everyone, but he did it with a smile.I can’t fault any staff they were all friendly and helpful.So please give Richard a bonus from us.

I take my disabled uncle shopping every week and always make time to have a bite of lunch, we have never been disappointed as the food has always been good. The only down side is when they are busy you are in for a long wait for your food.

After spending 3 hours at A&E I decided my 87 year old mum needed food. Morris ons is usually good for a quick meal but today it was vile. We ordered 2 roast meals were not told that 3 of the items were no longer available. We had raw sprouts very dry meat fried potatoes a spoonful of gravy. Sadly it was inedible we left 90%no one to complain to no customer services no manager available and the young waitress would not have been able to help. £15 wasted had to buy a ready meal to feed my mum as she couldn't eat hers at all. Very disappointed. If you don't have the ordered meal at least inform the customer.

We usually go to Morrison's for breakfast if we are in the area. One of the cheapest around but still one of the best. Service is fairly fast, one of the fastest Morrison's weve been to.

The meal was served quickly and the fish and chips were very good. My friend had poached eggs also good with loads of toast.

Had to wait 45 minutes for meals. Roast beef better suited to shoe soles. Roast potatoes wouldn't even throw at next doors cat (YES they'd break a window). Gravy, 1 lump or 2? Had to wait another 30 mins for dessert and ask repeatedly. When it came custard had a thicker skin than a rhinos butt. Cold drinks machine broken. At kitchen entrance to ask for a spoon, floor was appalling and cockroaches were lining up to throw themselves at the bug zapper!!! As you can imagine not a happy visit.

As on previous visits, good value and tasty meal. The lady on the till is always cheerful and most helpful. My food was delivered quickly and hot. The tables were kept clean and everything was in fact very clean and tidy. Another very good experience. Than you.

If you want a Gluten Free Sandwich or roll there is nothing, yet they have a gluten free aisle why can't they use these Im sure Im not the only gluten free person who shops there and wants a snack.

I start by saying that the photo on this site is not the Yeovil store.Or it is years out of date.

Does what it says on the tin, this is a great cafe. Going food that is well priced. Breakfast is best. Easy parking.

After shopping stopped for a cake and hot chocolate. No scones so asked a young girl on the food counter. Sorry none available today. Excuse me but there is a huge store with a bakery in front of you!!!!

Always enjoy the food here. Never had a problem, always busy yet served quickly and really hot and tasty food esp for the price. Sometimes run out of cups but never really a big problem and always happy to change things to suit the customer.

The best thing was the short wait for the order to arrive, the rest ..well....

Went in for something to eat as was in Yeovil and regularly visit the cafe. We wanted a big breakfast butUnfortunately the hash browns and mushrooms had run out. Really? It’s a supermarket. Ok, so had a couple of different items , paid , got coffee then sat and waited. And waited. We had to get more coffees , drank them and still waited. One hour later our food came, I really didn’t feel like it by then . It was cooked nicely but they forgot the bacon. I appreciate they may havebeen busy but it wasn’t packed, so I assume they were short staffed. We visit there regularly and know it’s not like this all the time, but sometimes it is. Wish they would have said there was a wait of an hour when we ordered, at least we would have had the choice whether we wanted to wait that long .

Enjoyed a breakfast here a few weeks ago, whilst I planned my Christmas shopping. Lovely to be able to have a rest before or after you tackle a supermarket shop

We stopped there on our way to cornwall and it wasn't good. First of all the tables are too close to each other and it was a real struggle to sit down and get up without banging your chair into the chair of the table behind you. They were obviously short staffed and we had to wait for 45 mins to get our food. The gammon I had was over cooked and tough and my wife's pie was bland and the gravy thin and tasteless. The staff were friendly and hardworking but I wouldn't use a morrisons cafe again after this visit.

Trays dirty, shortage of cakes on display, and some of them dried up. People wrongly charged and coming back to complain to the ONE cashier. People complaining they'd waited an hour for their meal, we waited 25mins for gammon and mash. Could of been worse. Coffee from the machine not hot, cutlery clearly dirty. Very disappointed. Will be last resort another time

Had a very busy day shopping in Yeovil today last stop was morrisons. We decided on he after 3 meal deal that is main course and drink £6. I had the Lamb shank my wife had chicken pie with chips. The service was good and fast. The meal was hot. Not much more to say really

Friday morning visit, small breakfast and was able to replace items for a 10p charge. Staff very friendly and efficient, when not serving were stocking up and tidying which gave a positive vibe. Breakfast took 15 minutes from the time of ordering.

Went to cafe for breakfast as we were working at leisure centre.We all ordered poached eggs on toast with Heinz baked beans.We had coffee as well,we only had to wait about 15 minutes for our breakfast to arrive well worth the wait.Staff were very helpful and friendly cafe was very clean.The breakfast was so good we went there every morning.

Had a lovely experience here plenty to choose from after boring shopping as I hate shopping so nice to eat and relax with a cuppa after the experience, even though Morrison is my fave place to shop

Pretty Average. Had a cheese and bacon toastie. A very small portion of chips on the side. Average price. However the best decor and cleanliness I have been to in a supermarket cafe.
