Went for a coffee & a breakfast sandwich. What a disaster. The lady serving us was obviously having a bad day. Her attitude was awful and when she brought over our coffees my husband’s was slopped into the saucer. She just dumped the tray and went to walk off. Had to ask her for milk for the coffee and for something to dry up the saucer. She came back and threw the napkins down and made no offer to clean it up or apologise. When the sandwiches arrived, one bacon, one sausage, we were not impressed for the £6 each that we had paid. The sausage felt it had been cooked about 2 hours earlier - dry and tasteless. My husband did say that the bacon one was ok. This restaurant has always been good and the cakes are great, but I would never go back for the breakfasts again.

Shopped in garden centre which we like very much, then decided to have a drink and bite to eat in the cafe. The young staff are ok however on a couple of occasions recently the older (female) staff have been grumpy/rude. I have also found the food pricing variable …I had a bacon sandwich with my coffee, the sandwich is now £6 and frankly is not worth it and not good value compared to say the m&s bacon roll which is way cheaper.

Coffee and cake worth the visit but nothing else is any good. This place was outstanding for years but the last 8 months or so the bread has been dry and stale. The bacon and sausages dry and overcooked and really terrible quality. My visit today was final attempt but unfortunately I won't try any cooked food or sandwiches again. The staff are a delight and always cheery and helpful. The setting is great but I've given up after so many failed attempts at decent breakfasts, bacon or sausage sandwiches and floppy croissants. The cake is amazing but that's all now. Sad times as this had been my go to for years going

We were visiting the nursery and as it was lunch time decided to have lunch here as we have been before and have enjoyed the food Again a nice experience, the panini’s we had were fresh (tuna and cheese, bacon, brie and cranberry) with a few lettuce leaves and coleslaw. The restaurant was quite busy and there were some children in who were rather noisy, but this didn’t spoil our lunch. They do a range of food serving a cooked breakfast till 12.30 (I think) soup, special of the day, quiche, sausage rolls and sweet treats such as lovely looking cupcakes. Certainly recommend

Very poor service, Poor value for money Poor ingredients, £6. 75 for brown salad, the gammon sandwich bread was dry as old rope. we sent back the salad only to keep chasing them up, when the salad arrived there was only Lettuce leaves. No tomato - No cucumber - and No coleslaw. according to them it was fresh, we commented how can the lettuce be fresh when its brown with some leave slimy.

Arrived at 11.50 for breakfast on a Saturday. Sign outside says serving until 12. When I tried to order I was told it had finished. When I questioned the time, another lady came over and said she was "out of stock" and could only do a bacon sandwich. When I expressed disappointment she said aggressively "all right all right! I will do it!! but it will be 20-25 minutes". In other words in spite of saying she didn't have the stock, she did just didn't want to do a breakfast. We left and found Norsk who were still doing delicious breakfasts and served with a smile.

Big breakfast, big mistake. Preprepared food overcooked and served cold and rock hard. Not worth the near £11.00 😕 They should stick to light savouries and cakes, these are fabulous along with teas and great coffee. Customer service at till very good and quick. Avoid Breakfasts

Lovely burger and a great atmosphere, we had tea and watched the Euros. Everyone was friendly and the food was delicious with great portion sizes.

The Shrewsbury Arms is one of those traditional pubs with lots of nooks, crannies and little snugs. Add a roaring, real fire and it is cosiness at its best. There were the ubiquitous tellies on the walls for sport but, in much more traditional vein, there was also a large selection of board games for those of that persuasion. We were happy enough just to enjoy our beers by the fire, which felt particularly luxurious on such a freezing cold evening. Service was nice and this is a really good pub.

Worst coffee I have had my trip to UK, and I have even had one from Greggs. Don't bother

Not eaten here for a while. However, we decided to give it a go. Two lattes and shared a fish n chips. Absolutely superb, crispy batter, moist fish and crunchy fat chips. The coffees were piping hot. Excellent food and good value. Staff friendly and obviously take pride in their work. Positive changes here 👍
