Very friendly staff and the prices were good

Very pretty old pub, nice atmosphere! Portions were a good size, the steak burgers were lovely & the beer battered fish was delicious! Servers were friendly & attentive, well worth a return visit!

Had lunch and dinner here whilst staying at the hotel Leeming Wells next door. A vast menu of delicious, home cooked high quality food, lamb Henry to be recommended. Large portions, hot and service brilliant. Can’t recommend enough. Great atmosphere and very friendly and efficient staff who are working so hard to give customers the best experience.

The Whitehouses pub is one of those establishments that you visit for convenience and not particularly because you're going to be given the finest fare or dining experience. Firstly when booking you will be lucky to get through on the phone, only to find on arrival that there are no reservations anyway as the pub was almost empty. Starters of soup were ordered. It was some sort of curried parsnip, but it did not feel particularly special. The bread in particular tasted doughy and cheap. The main meals were little better, with a burned lasagne and very little else in terms of fresh veg or chunky chips. The other mains of salmon looked ok, but it there was an overall feel all the food had been reheated and not served fresh. There are many other eateries in the area that do food much better and where service is more friendly.

Great coffee, service, spacious room

Unfortunately this wonderfully situated pub seems to be no more. There is a fir sale sign on the building and it's closed. Did some online sleuthing and it was bought by someone who wanted to do it up a d reopen it. But that seems to have fallen by the way side. When a contact email was sent a query about what was happening the reply was when we are know, we will update on all media. Such a shame. There is a pebbly beach there, a car park and public loos. When it was a going concern it served lovely fish and chips. So don't go on the off chance as presently it's not open. I guess wait till they update their media.

Came here for a Sunday roast and it was excellent the food was all brilliant the service was great the market table to start is a great idea and the roast was all cooked to perfection with the meat being great and a good Yorkshire pudding the deserts were also tip top

Realmente no entiendo de qué se trata todo este alboroto aquí. Es un pequeño bar con ambiente cero y bebidas caras. Eligió un 8. 50 espresso martini y esperaron casi 20 minutos, luego me picaron 11 porque le pegaron el cargo de servicio. Arriba es como una cantimplora brillante. Simplemente no lo entiendo, no por mí, gracias.

Tasty fish, chips and scampi with great views. Huge portions and fast service. If I had one criticism it would be to have proper cutlery, not small take out wooden ones for dining in.

As a local, I've been previously and never been overly impressed, however came on mothers day - family of 4, served sunday roast, couldn't fault it. Then again we booked last minute last night, for just myself and the other half. The food was exceptional. The staff polite, friendly and attentive. The only issue was we werent given a steak knife, which I'm sure was just a minor hiccup, and my other half managed to cut his steak jst fine with the knife he had.

Beavers is one of our favourite ‘go to’ eateries on a regular basis (we are locals) for breakfasts and lunches. Beavers breakfasts are always very good and are reasonably priced. Lunches also are very good, one particular favourite is Tempura prawns with salad, delicious! Staff are very friendly, helpful and patient.

First time visit, serve by Shub, coffee was perfectly served and right temperature. Coffee Taste was amazing . Great service, hShub was so helpful. Will definitely visit again.

Clean tidy and welcoming. Plenty of parking or drive through. On main roads so easy access.
