The Old Millwrights Arms, Aylesbury in Aylesbury Vale

The Old Millwright Arms is a pub in my ward as a councillor. Saturday night April 6th 2024 was not the first time I have attended the pub, but it was the best yet. The service at the pub is fantastic, servers behind the bar that actually want to have a conversation with you are such a welcome thing. We attended the Liam King gig, which was fantastic, but we also took in some Thai food supplied by an outdoor caterer. The food was the best Thai food I have ever had, looking forward to seeing them back again. The management at the pub was very kind about my vocal talents following a warbled version of the Wild Rover (I saw one person singing along with me!). I'll be back on May 18th, but hopefully before and more regularly for my 0% Guinness.

Good night, but then at 10.45pm there was 3 children running about. I'm not against children however there is a time and a place. I come out for adult time,a friend nearly their spilt drinks as a child collided with him. Although a great establishment and a good night with friends.

Always delivers exceptional hospitality. Family & dog friendly with a great atmosphere. A pub that is all encompassing, catering for pub drinkers, lovers of good food, quiz enthusiasts & watching of all sport. Definitely follow on their socials for information on regular events they organise too!

We had our Christmas party here amazing atmosphere. Staff and landlady/landlord very friendly. New Year’s Eve here was good fun!

Great atmosphere with great people

Top local. Right up there with the small number of Aylesbury’s best pubs. Friendly as you like, beer kept really well, smashing pub-fare menu and a really nice atmosphere. The fact that on some nights it can get busy is testament to that fact that the guys are getting things right. Apparently it’s just a year or so since the place changed hands…….they’ve come a long way in 12 months. Big recommendation.

I can't believe it turned out to be the tastiest and the food looks the best and I ate everything and I like it very much it is number one and we will come here again :) 😀

A good real ale pub close to the town centre but far enough out to be a bit less rammed. I didn't eat so I can't comment on the food.

Very pleasant and comfortable pub and CAMRA members get 50p per pint discount. Actually a Greene King pub with their usual range, but in recent years the concept has been to feature local breweries, Since the last change of management this has been at best variable. You may catch it on a good night and be very lucky, or be faced with GK or national brands. Good freshly baked pizzas among the food offering.

Came today very upset potatoes I could smell was fried in old oil not roasted at all veg was still hard and cold not the best roast dinner in Aylesbury I’m afraid we will not be coming back

Very friendly place and child friendly

The Millrights has becomemy usual place for a drink over the last few months, always welcoming and a great range of perfectly kept real ales. Today I took my mum there for lunch, food was excellent my mum who is the biggest critic ever said she really enjoyed her fish and chips, doesn't get a better recommendation than that.

Thursday night quiz night. Great fun.

If you're looking for an excellent Sunday roast in Aylesbury, then look no further! My wife and I had the beef - 3 slices, 4 veg, perfect Yorkshire Pud, crispy potatoes, and lashings of perfect gravy! My daughter's nut roast was excellent too, not an afterthought, as can often be the case. Nothing was too much trouble for Larris and her team - if you want a great Sunday roast in Aylesbury, you need look no further than Old Millwrights Arms!

This pub is friendly and the roast dinners are fantastic and so is the food normally wouldn't reccomend the Currys had a jalfrazie so did my partner think it was frozen it was revolting didn't eat it it smealt ransid it was watery no taste loads chicken eat one piece tasted off my partner asked for hot he said the same we got our money back would go back againe for food as all our other meals have been great and value for money but never againe for a curry staff very nice about it ter

Not as nice as when Tom was the landlord, but still a nice beer garden.

We had our daughters gender reveal here. The Old Millwrights Arms provided the food which was really good. The staff were fantastic and made sure the whole event ran smoothly. We decorated the place with balloons and posters which was great. The Pub is a great venue , had a nice atmosphere and the courtyard garden is a bonus. We was allowed to use a confetti cannon which made a big mess. They did not mind at all and the lovely bar staff got out the vacuum at the end and cleaned up for us. We had so many compliments about the venue. Would highly recommend this venue.

We had gammon and chips lovely big piece of gammon cooked to perfection beautiful chips I think they should get a five for there food I also been there for a roast with my daughter and her boyfriend it was lovely can't fault them value for money

A friendly pub with a well stocked bar, constantly changing ales and an above average Guinness. Food is good and great value for money. Sunday roast is solid. Family friendly and very hospitable for dogs. A good quiz, weekly, on a Thursday night and a sun trap of a courtyard garden.

It's a nice clean pub with a good selection of beers.

Had a lovely roast chicken and roast beef meal here. It was a quiet day in the pub but really enjoyed food, roasts were yummy and then had a strawberry pastry with cream and chocolate. Very nice staff, had nice chat with the chef talking about sourcing local ingredients as much as possible. We were lucky to find it available as it's usually a much busier pub.

The sign outside saying it’s “probably the best roast in Aylesbury” is very accurate. Best proper roast in the area. The pub is clean, quiet and the staff are great.

A little mistake, but lovely food, chef and staff went above an beyond to rectify it, compliments to the chef and deputy manager, thank you we will be back

So the millrights what can I say it has recently been took over and what a turn around they have done! kid friendly yes dog friendly definitely food is fantastic all fresh and full of hart and soul fantastic selection of beer larger wines spirits, I honestly can not praise it enough I can not find a bad word to say. Always made to feel welcome never had a bad meal I can not wait for my next visit if you have not been yet it's worth makeing the time

We have just had the most amazing pub meal ever! We ate at a top London restaurant and this would beat that. Very friendly chef and staff. Darren is an amazing chef who took time to talk to us about his passion for food. Top quality, top staff, top service.

Roast beef wasn't the best fatty beef,potatoes flowery and gravy quite thin,staff lovely, would ho back just not for the roast!

Under brilliant new management, super friendly and welcoming staff, all homemade fresh food and the roasts are to die for! Great selection on drinks and bt/sky sports also! Looking forward to the summer and bringing the whole family along

I don't know if I'm just easily pleased but this was truly lush! The day before I had gone to a restaurant in London and this home town pub smashed it out of the field (not sure if that's a metaphor 🤔). We all had the roast belly pork and normally with a Sunday roast I find a few things on the plate just a little uninspiring. But not here, everything was great, even the veg, THE VEG!! lovely staff, pleasant atmosphere, and decently priced. All round a perfect day

After having four meals the pizza the burger and the steaks here I am happy to leave five stars as it was always cooked to perfection, add that to a comfy seating,friendly atmosphere and great staff this pub The old Millwrights Amrs is my new favourite local! I love the millwrights but when me and the girlfriend goes there at half 9 it’s closed and Monday it’s closed.what’s times you open and close I am very confused.the staff are very friendly.

It has lovely a lovely vibe, with good food and great drink selection. It's the perfect place for a cozy evening pub visit or a sunny outdoor seating visit. Can't recommend enough!

Lovely pub made very welcome to my partner, daughter and myself. But the very little meat with the roast dinner and hair on every plate so we dinner much at all. Sorry to say this as they are lovely people there. I will not be coming back

Very much a 'local' sort of pub. There's a jar of dog biscuits, a pub quiz, and a variety of table & chair types scattered around the place. Worth a visit.

We had Sunday lunch on 24th April as it was recommended to us. Well they didn't disappoint. The meat was delicious, we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. Also the staff were so accommodating and friendly, we will definitely be going there again.

I visit here regularly, mainly Monday evenings where there is a decent crowd. Really friendly staff with an easy-going attitude. Good selection of ales and tasty pizza at a reasonable price. My new local!

First time I have visited this pub. Just went in for drinks with family and 2 dogs. Very friendly atmosphere and bar staff great. Made us feel very welcome even when one of the dogs pooed on the floor! Will visit again and would recommend
