Honey Bee in Aylesbury Vale

It's always a great time when I go there. I wish they had more ciders, but that's my only complaint. It's a regular stop for Curly Wurly (the puppy) and me. 🐶🐾🍺

Took along time to get serviced only 1 staff on again.

Visited for lunch in the week and Kiera and Drew behind the bar were very attentive. They recommended the grazer menu to share for two of us who only wanted picky bits. The service was quick and perfect portion sizes.

The new manager and the staff have put a lot of effort into the Honey Bee and it shows. Once again a great pub with good pub food. Staff are lovely.

When we arrived we were greeted with the warmest welcome and smile by Zaydna. She helped us find a table we were happy with. She absolutely oozes warmth and confidence in her position, nothing is too much trouble. We had the roast beef lunch with as always was served quickly and was delicious. Zaydna checked in with us a couple of times to make sure everything was OK and we were happy. We would definitely recommend our friends and family to visit, food is delicious, value for money and such a warm happy atmosphere. I cannot praise Zaydna enough with her attention to everyone's needs and she never stops smiling

Me and a friend visit this pub for a catch up being residents nearby. Previously this pub had dropped off in its service and food quality. Im pleased to say this has changed for the better. Being a Saturday afternoon you would expect the pub to be busy, and I'm pleased to say this was the case. On previous visits we’d been the same time only to find the pub quiet, no atmosphere and worryingly lacking in food quality. But its good to see the pub back on its feet, pulling in the public with great food and atmosphere. We’ll be back alot sooner!

We were a table of 15, 8 adults and 7 kids for a birthday celebration. We love the honeybee and always have great food and the staff are friendly. The whole table got their food together and it was hot and perfectly cooked. Well done to the team 😊 we'll be back soon!

Food was tasty, well worth a visit if you're local. Missed one star due to finding forks on the floor around the table we sat on, otherwise very tasty food. Kind service.

Great staff, welcoming, professional and friendly. Food is very good, fairly priced with some great deals on a daily basis. Excellent for young children and they are made to feel welcome with facilities to keep them occupied.

A decent family pub and children can run around. A few ales which are kept OK.

We had a great meal with family and friends on NYE, the food was very fast, especially given how busy it was. The food runners were so friendly and hardworking, I didn’t catch their names. The bartenders Callum and Jack worked hard to keep the drinks flowing all night, whizzing up cocktails and recommending drinks. Really good service, the staff have made this pub great again.

A couple of friends booked for Christmas Day I joined them. We were greeted warmly on arrival, sat in comfortable surroundings and were treated to excellent service through our visit. The meal was piping hot and delicious, we all had different choices and nobody left a crumb from all three courses. The service was faultless and the staff friendly. Our drinks, mainly Ale, (Oxford Gold), were served to a very high standard and were in perfect condition. Thanks to all the staff for an excellent Christmas afternoon, we really appreciated it! Once again we had attentive staff, Zayden and Megan. We didn’t have to wait long to order our drinks that came along promptly. Food as expected from a chain. We asked about the music and immediately told how to play what we wanted, juke box or download the app. Always happy to see Zayden and Megan as they are always there to help. Thank you guys.

Had the festive menu today. Booked a couple of weeks ago. Table beautifully decorated. The food was lovely great service from Shannon. She never made us feel rushed asked when we were ready. Great start to the festive season

We rang up and booked a table as a Christmas menu looked amazing and I’ve heard so many good things about this pub. We paid the deposit and we turned up on time was met with a nice lady who took us to our table however there was not much room around the chairs so we asked to move Which she Was very helpful and found us another table. My partner then asked the waitress about the Christmas menu and was told there was no Christmas meals left. She then said she will go and ask ,she came back a few minutes later and said the chef was sorry but there was no Christmas meals left and we would have to choose something else. This was very disappointing as this is why we booked. He then ordered our meals at the bar which were two steaks a start of a prawn cocktail And buttered mushrooms. He got us a bottle of wine and brought it back to the table 45 minutes had passed and nobody to came to the table. We saw a young waitress and I asked her if she can find out how long it was gonna be because we’ve been waiting 45 minutes She went away and spoke with somebody. She then came back and she said there was about 3 or 4 people in front of us I’m not sure how long it would take at this point my partner said to her this is ridiculous the time we need to wait. She then said it is what it is Which is not the thing you should be saying to a customer. I then asked to speak to the manager a few minutes later a male came out the kitchen and came towards us very aggressively when he got to the table he told us we had to leave. We could drink the wine and then leave. I asked for a reason he said you made my member staff cry. I tried to explain to him that wasn’t how it was . He then got very aggressive and told us to leave. This is totally unacceptable 100%. You should protect your workforce and I’m fully behind him for doing that. however he only got one side of the story and asked us to leave made us feel embarrassed. We will never use this place again and we will never recommend this place again. I know it was very busy but I don’t think it is fair we had to wait over 45 minutes and still know one came to tell us it would be a bit longer . We did get a refund apart from the wine

I booked a table very simple & easy on the internet. Ordered own meal & drinks it wasn't long for own starters to arrive then the main course. Food was cooked gorgeous & we had room for a dessert. It was nice to have somewhere to take own dog with us. Thank you

Super quick as always. Really helpful, young lady prepared the table (we hadn’t booked)! The restaurant was busy and a table of four, we were lucky to get seated. We were checked on regularly and the food (three pizza and a burger along with sides) was great as always.

The food was bland and I couldn't finish it. The table was dirty and sticky and the condiments holder was filthy. The waitress was abrupt. However, the other woman who served us was fantastic. I think she might be the manager.

I am a very harsh critic when I leave reviews and will only give stars if I genuinely believe they deserve them I'm very hard to please as one may say! From the moment I rang up they shown me nothing but kindness, love and respect! When I first ring they were already fully booked however the manager answered and he said come on in and we will give you a table and feed you. We arrived and were welcomed by at least 3 members of staff! They explained different ways of ordering and even made a recommendation of what to eat, very social very friendly and made us feel at home! I then ordered food and either myself or the new trainee on the till got 1 order wrong, I'm pretty sure I said I wanted the Mega mixed grill however i wasn't charged for a mega mixed grill and it went through as a standard which I later found out after the food arrived. The food arrived very promptly, it was ALL hot, well presented and even when I noticed there was a sausage and some other extra bits missing I was totally shocked with the portion size! It was very generous and when I made a comment to my partner about it being wrong but still huge the waitress approached the manager and notified him if what had taken place, he then asked me if I wanted originally a Mega mixed grill and when I said yes he told me he was going to get the chef to cooke a EXTRA mixed grill all free of charge and in humor he said "We've got to feed you now you're here". 10 minutes later another huge mixed grill arrived as promised equally as beautiful and as hot as the First one but I was already stuffed by then and only half way through the original one! 🤣😅 Staff came back to do a "2 minute check" which used to be basic waitering etiquette however has died off over the years so this was refreshing to see and the banter between all the staff, us and other customers was amazing to experience. Having been filled up to the brim and going in with eyes bigger than my belly I didn't even get to touch the 2nd mixed grill they gave me free of charge and I felt really rude that I had made a comment about it and in honesty I slightly felt embarrassed however they made light of the situation and were genuinely happy to see that we were happy and they gave us a doggy box to take back the extra food home. The atmosphere was buzzing, everyone was cheerful and happy and enjoying themselves in this establishment. I'm not from this area namely Aylesbury, I love in the South West and come to visit each weekend my partner and her children and I'll be honest, my experience of the area as a whole isn't that good however walking into the Honey Bee was like being at home and I genuinely do believe this place is the best place to go for food or anything social for couples or families in the entire area of Aylesbury! If your thinking of going do NOT hesitate, you will love the place and may I remind you again I am really not one to speak so highly of a establishment or even write a review unless it deserves it 100%. I think I've found my favorite pub and most definitely a local place to frequent when I visit my family.

Friendly welcome shown to a table quickly, ordered at the bar, bar man was friendly, ordered food and drinks. Food arrived quickly and was tasty. Waiter was pleasant and came to make sure everything was ok. Table next door made a complaint about the food and I was surprised at how well it was handled

Had Sunday roasts today, great service and didn't have to wait very long to be served. The food was really tasty, big portions, couldn't finish it all. Had a game of bingo too, whuch was good fun. Highly recommend and will be back for more!

The Honeybee was quite a let down saw two members of staff which one of the bar staff was new he said he didn't know the system, kept calling another member who looked like she was struggling too. And the tables was not clean. Debris was on the floor very disorganised food cold tasteless. Menu's need upgrading.

It’s a good place for locals and workers on their way home. It would not be my first choice but to take the grandkids for a treat it’s fine.

We (Party of 3: Myself, a friend & her 12 year old daughter) were looking for a reasonably priced place to sit down & eat, in the local area after spending a busy day at Aylesbury Comic Con. After weighing up the options, we decided on The Honey Bee. It was fairly busy for a Sunday evening, later on we found out why. We found a nice little nook to sit & looked at the menu, I love the QR code option of ordering & paying. As we were going Dutch, it made things a lot easier to order what we wanted & paying separately. The food & drinks came fairly quickly & then it was announced that there would be a Pub Quiz, that was free to take part (& the reason that it was busy, that night) We are no strangers to pub quizzes but the interactive version that you play using the app made for a really fun evening. There was also interactive Bingo, but unfortunately, we didn't have time to stay for. However we are contemplating coming back again, if the Honey Bee still has Pub Quiz & Bingo nights. Thanks for a great evening!

Had a couple of drinks in here with a couple of mates, Big TVs showing sports, table service and reasonable prices.

Food considerably better than previous visit, still understaffed, one person behind the bar who had the weight of the world on her shoulders, no back up or help offered, hasten to add she was very stressed.

The staff behind the bar were rude, incompetent and acted as if they couldn't be bothered to be there. This is unusual for the Honey bee, as we often come here. The toilets were also dirty and smell of urine.The staff need a kick up the backside and some training in customer service- if this was the first time I came here, I would not be back. Please improve the staffs attitude and training, as otherwise you will loose customers in a pub that we need to keep open for Fairford Leys.

Was a lovely meal however our starter of wings came out freezing cold and not fully cooked. When I pointed this out to staff they were quick to rectify the issue. The food barring the wings was good. All parties were happy with the food. Special mention to Lola for her fantastic service thank you very much.

Awful. Went today (13th Oct) for Sunday lunch. Very slow service and got the order wrong for our family of five. Food was poor quality and virtually no serving staff. No apologies given. Won't be going back.

I was very disappointed, waited over an hour for our food to arrive. When we eventually got to food, it was incredibly dry.

You took too long to bring food and me and my mother were waiting for over an hour and i was really hungry as i just came back from football

Both the bar staff and the waiters were very attentive and alert to us arriving at the bar as well as checking we were happy with our meal or if we needed anything whilst we were eating.

Table for 16 a great evening spent. All made perfect by the service of Zayden. A great asset to the pub.

The experience was amazing. Our server zayden was the best we ever had and to know that he has only been with them for about 3 weeks is amazing he was so polite and helpful always making sure we were okay and happy with everything and even being so kind to our baby and helping us clean up a mess that was not even his mess. We loved having him serves us that we will be coming back very soon. Please pass on the message to zayden

Very accommodating and everyone was very friendly. Loved the decorations and effort going into Halloween and Christmas. Massive turnaround from the last time I went. I came on Tuesday 10th September with family as soon as we entered the guy behind the bar alex was very welcoming couldn't do enough for us, when ordering food we asked what would he recommend he said the kebab which was a good recommendation the food was amazing look forward to returning again very soon.

I came here for a hen night, a birthday and family lunch, food very good and staff very friendly and efficient. Looking forward to my next visit.

We are becoming quite regular customers. Always good custom and food is always good when we have visited. Also, very child friendly. Staff are welcoming.

We go to the Honeybee once or twice a week, Great team and food and drink always lovely. Quiz nights are the best.

Noticed after the last few visits returning to the pub the food is amazing also the customer service and really like the atmosphere in the venue now staff are also great at the bar and serving the food ... me and my wife will definitely be returning again really soon 👍👍🍻🍻

We have definitely noticed the change for the better at this venue. Wow the food is amazing definitely compliments to the chef and all the kitchen staff. Service is amazing. Atmosphere is lovely. Staff very accomadating when we booked a section of the pub off for my daughter birthday I will also be re booking for another upcoming birthday. Me and the husband have now made this our local. Hands down 5 stars 🙂👍👍👍

Good place to take the kids good pub type grub reasonably priced

The staff were very friendly, the food was lovely and the price was very reasonable. We both had steak this time, but have had pizzas and burgers previously which were great too.

Visited the venue for a quick drink and use of bathroom. I was pleasantly surprised. The place had a good vibe. The bar staff were attentive and aware. It’s an obvious family bar and that’s great for the community. I could not resist the urge to have desert and so the Jam sponge was generous in size. Yes all standard but was good. Cleanliness could be a lot better and especially bathrooms. Overall a very pleasant visit

Our sever was absolutely lovely and welcoming and helpful and the other members of staff were lovely. It wasn't that busy, just the odd scream of a child.

Came out for a family meal . Great value and also great food for the price. We had a voucher that was put through the door and they also offer a blue light/nhs discount .

I was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was, especially for the very reasonable price using the much appreciated 30% voucher. The menu had changed since my last visit and there is a great choice. The service was also excellent, especially by the young man behind the bar who was a credit to the restaurant. I am not sure if there is new management but there definitely seems to have been a real improvement all round.

Great local pub with phenomenal staff who are attentive and helpful. The weekly events are good fun too. The classic pub food never disappoints, especially the pie! The salad is quite nice as well for a lighter meal.

Service excellent overall. Food was good, wouldn't say exceptionally good but there were no unpleasant surprises with it (food cold, hairs in it etc). Atmosphere OK for a Sunday no massive waiting times at table or at bar. Complete experience was a very good one.

Came for a friend's baby shower which I had organised. Staff were so so lovely and accommodating. Would definitely highly recommend!

Visited yesterday for a quick bite to eat and from the get go we felt so welcome! We didn’t have a booking but the bartender Kiera who looked after us made sure we had a high chair and kids menus and made sure everything was perfect when ordering as we have a very fussy child with a dairy allergy! Food was cooked to perfection and the kids desserts were so cheap. We will definitely be back.

This is a large pub on the edge of Fairford Leys in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire with ample free parking in a large carpark. Good selection of what could be described as Chain Pub Food on offer, tables which are in a separate section can be booked online. We found the staff very friendly and attentive. There is a good selection of Lagers and Beers on tap as well as bottled ciders and the normal wines and spirits. Unfortunately and the reason for only 3 stars there were no draught beers available as they were all "conditioning" so we were left to drink Guinness.

Unfortunately the food we wanted to order was unavailable, second time we have been and same experience. Might have helped to be informed as soon as we sat down, rather than waiting for us to choose our order and then tell us it wasnt available. Probably won't choose it again if we can't eat what we want off the menu.

Visited the Honey Bee this afternoon. Natalia and Kiera were very welcoming and recommended some cocktails that we could enjoy in the sun. I really recommend.

My chicken and bacon salad was lovely and fresh and now comes with a lovely light dressing, the service was friendly and efficient I was even able to have dessert as they had a lovely vegan one

Unreal, went to honey bee for a drink with family and the waiter came outside asking if I wanted a drink, I asked for a foster but immediately realised my son didn't wanted a foster but a Stella, so I apologised and ordered a Stella only. The waiter said ok, not a problem but ended up bringing a Stella and a foster. So I said, sorry it's only a Stella, the waiter said ok, took the other beer inside, came outside and said (I'm sorry but because of the miscommunication I still have to charge you for the foster)!!! I said but I will not pay for that and she replied so I have to talk to the manager!!!! Unreal

Callum was a fantastic host made sure that we had everything we needed. Food was lovely.

Great pub very well run with excellent staff

We went on a Monday afternoon so we were expecting it to be dead but the atmosphere still felt lively and comfortable. The food was lovely and the pricing is really good. The service was quick and the staff were friendly.
