Shocking. Sticky tables. Staff either away with the fairies or barely alive. The chairs stained and you could smell them before you even went near them. Cheap condiments. Just totally gross. Felt like I needed to be steam cleaned/jet washed when I left. A very unsanitary place. If you want cheap dirty food, poisoning and bad service you know where to go.

Super little cafe. Classic English breakfasts, lovely lunches. Friendly service. Great prices. Little gem of a place.

Nice friendly staff, massive selection of food, could do with a halal option for breakfast though 😁, more and more places are offering this option now. However the vegetarian option was nice.

Basic restaurant discovered by my daughter and grandsons. Plain, but superbly prepared food of good quality at very reasonable prices. Best ham, I think carved off the bone, I have eaten in years. Decent selection. Comfortable seating. Parking available.

Sad to say that this once hugely popular and great quality cafe has gone tot he dogs. Poor quality food, served cold (despite the fact that there were only 4 other tables occupied) and poor value for money. Five of us ate and two of us went for the big 'Gatehouse Breakfast' - if that was the big one then I'd hate to see the smaller ones. Will not be going there again - poor experience.

This is a small gem of a place hidden away on on Gatehouse Industrial estate. Really nice people serving great breakfasts and lunches and even afternoon tea. Great portions and real value for money. Worth seeking out :)

If I'm totally honest I don't like tinned tomatoes. But that's just me. Apart from those, then, this was a delicious breakfast. Fabulous staff.

Breakfast was absolutely lovely. Great value for money.

Took 35 minutes to get our breakfast. It was cold. Spent extra money to have the butchers sausage instead of normal and we didn't get them. Couldn't be bothered to say anything as we probably would have had to wait another 35 minutes. They didn't have much change at the till so the woman had to go get some. Stood there waiting for 5 minutes. Most people I heard commenting on the time and how long they were waiting.

A heavy heart but ...... Enough is enough ! Not prepared to keep paying good money for Inconsistent food quality....

Two of us called for afternoon tea which was prepared freshly for us. A very plentiful meal with an assortment of homemade goodies! The staff were friendly and attentive, and we were supplied boxes to take home the significant surplus. All at a price which made for exceptional value. We will certainly return!

A unique place to eat Is it a greasy spoon ? Is it a b list restaurant ? The food quality varies like the British weather now I'm sad to say... When it's good it's good, No longer good value. IF the food was consistently good then it would be good value again. Nice staff !

Good breakfast and super cakes including bread pudding. Eggs Benedict with salmon is very filling. My kind of place. Staff friendly and cooperative. Comfortable place to eat, good coffee. A popular place for local workers,. Clean and cheerful place.

We had a couple of all-day breakfasts which included everything you could want at a reasonable price and the quality was very good. However, finding a table that had been cleared and cleaned was difficult and we ended up on a small table by the entrance door which kept getting stuck on the doormat in the open position so I had to keep getting up to close it. The service was a little slow and haphazard so it is possible that they were understaffed or had inexperienced people working but we still felt that the serving staff could have been clearing tables in between serving customers. We'll give it another try when we're next over that way.

Went for the first time omg it is so so cosy in there, food was amazing had a jacket potatoe with tuna mayonnaise nd cheese absolutely scrummy, also a coco loco smoothie which tatsed out of this world and a coffee bun with frosting which just tantalised my taste buds, Will be going for breakfast tomorrow Godwilling I'm sure it will be just as good so looking forward to it, staff were so lovely and polite and smiley will be my no 1 spot from now on😋

Been there stayed at queue like for 30 min just with 2 person in front of me , order eggs Benedict, after 45 minutes asking what's happening with my order , she said in 5 minutes will be ready but after 2 minutes she told me they run out of salmon .

Quite surprised by this place. Haven't visited before but went for breakfast which turned out to be a very enjoyable experience. Good choice of breakfast and reasonable prices. Will probably go back again.

Typical cafe with some really lovely staff. Prices are good and portions sizable. I had a sausage and egg in medium tiger bread, it definitely hit the spot.

Best breakfast I've had for a while with brilliant service. Unusual place to find a cafe as most of them in town were the preppy cafes, not this one which is tucked nicely in an industrial estate. If I'm back in Aylesbury this will be the place I got to eat

Came here as part of a large group. We chose to meet up for breakfast here as there was plenty of room for us all and plenty of parking as we were coming from all over the place.Plenty of parking and plenty of seating inside so good bonus.Menu seemed quite varied, but it was apparent early on that staff were in short supply. It appeared only one person was serving, taking orders, doing the tea and coffee and then cooking the breakfasts which led to a long wait.I ordered the Gatehouse breakfast (basically the big one). It came with tea or coffee and toast, except my toast never arrived.The food quality was okay, and it was hot enough but certainly only achieved value for money and nothing more.As a cafe it just about did what it said on the tin. Not enough staff, food quality okay, and attention to detail missing (yes even for a cafe).Could improve, but was not terrible by any stretch of the imagination.

Great food at a reasonable price, worth the slightly longer wait for the quality of the food .

Lovely visit today, Diner was busy today but we were made to feel very welcome as a group of 10. Staff were helpful and friendly. Brunch was very nice and considering how busy very quickly served. We will visit again.

Never sure when this place opens. The website says 7.00am but when you ‘re hungry you find somewhere else

Used to visit here for a hour breakfast in pleasant clean surroundings, tables dirty, tea mug dirty, bases of tables filthy & floor disgusting, the cook clearly can’t multitask as waited over half an hour for breakfast when only 5 other people present & called out tickets one by one! even sat and read the Sunday paper, it was a Wednesday, is it really that hard to buy some daily papers each morning! Wow!

Sans TripAdvisor nous ne nous serions jamais rendu dans cette Zone Industrielle et trouvé ce restaurant. Je confirme les avis précédents, ce que nous avons dans les assiettes est bon et copieux. Nous y allions pour prendre un petit-déjeuner traditionnel anglais, c’était parfait !

Went for a nice Sunday morning breakfast paid and then it kicked off staff arguing swearing children present got a refund and left no management on site

Love it here, If you don't mind a basic café with plastic chairs (just like the old transport cafes for lorries!) This is the place to get the best choice of English breakfast! Staff are great, food is lovely and cooked while you wait ( So may have to wait a little while, but well worth it!

This was my second visit to this cafe, but first review, and it has remained the same since my earlier visit. Excellent free parking, and a nice spacious cafe eating area. It's the counter and the open kitchen/cooking area that lets it down a little. Very old fashioned and scruffy paintwork etc... It really needs to be closed off or just generally updated. Foodwise, I ordered a Truckers Breakfast for £7.25 - not the cheapest I have ever bought but fair play, it was very good. I was asked if I wanted to upgrade the sausage to 'Butcher's Choice', declined but think I got one anyway - and it was excellent, rather than the sort of tasteless thing you get in most cafes or chip shops. The black pudding was thinly sliced, which usually means it gets over cooked, but this was perfect. The portion of tinned tomatoes I had was the largest and warmest I have ever had in such a cafe, and the only let down was the bacon. It was tasty and properly cooked and warm but had the largest amount of fat/rind on it I have seen in a long time. Staff are a bit rough and ready, in that you probably don't want to visit here if you don't like swearing! However, I really enjoyed it. Smarten the counter area and behind up, and get a better bacon supplier and this would be a 5 star cafe. I will be back, if only to listen to the lively banter behind the counter.

For a change to having sandwiches and we fancied some hot food so we tried it out. Prices as expected down here. It wasn’t the cleanest of cafes but if a table full of cops eat here it can’t be all bad.

Love this place, top class breakfast typical workmans cafe. What more could you want. Reasonably priced. Also do a range of burgers also lovely.

Treat on a Friday had truckers meal from the menu on the board food was hot and very presentable and the black pudding was to die for staff was very polite and asked what wanted on my plate half beans and tomatoes I asked for the lasagne meal but unfortunately this was not on the list today

I went into the diner the other day for some lunch while I was on my break.I ordered some chips and cheese. The woman who served me was very nice.I handed her my money and she gave me my change, then after this she proceeded to cook my food without washing her hands or wearing gloves. Soon after she put the cheese on my chips by scooping the cheese with her hands. When handling food directly with hands I feel like she should have washed her hands or worn rubber gloves, especially considering I have just handed her my money and we all know money is not very hygienic and we don't know where it has been.I don't know when the last time she washed her hands could have been and it has made me a bit cautious to eat here again.

Bought sandwiches for a group of work colleagues from here. We ordered over the phone to collect with very polite phone service.We collected and everything had been kept warm and they gave us a crate to take the food in which is very handy. We usually re-use them once we return as we are frequent flyers!Always delicious food and great service.

We stopped off here for breakfast were not disappointed, all food is cooked fresh so you do wait a little while but it is worth it, we upgraded to the butchers sausages which were very good quality as was the fresh tea and toast.I would highly recommend that you give this place a try.

I don't expect 5 star treatment after all this is a 'transport' cafe and it does very well with a good choice of tasty fast food at a good value. However I won't be going again as I felt uncomfortable and out of place ... obviously the staff play to the male clientele a couple in their sixties just doesn't cut it. Of the two female staff the girl who cook and took our order was polite and and did her job but sad to say the girl who served us at the table seriously needs training or a lesson in good manners!! I was surprised our cooked breakfasts stayed on the plate as she literally threw the plate of food down onto the table such was her contempt at having to serve us 'oldies' and making her break away from the table of four men (the only other customers in the cafe at the time) when all she really wanted was to continue her flirting and chatting to the men. Some one is paying her wages and they should be aware of her abuses both to themselves and to the customers who support that business.

Had breakfast here this morning. I was early, just after 7am as I had to drop my daughter off round the corner. The food was fresh, hot and as ordered and my mug of tea was weak and black as requested. Loved the bubble and squeak. Service was good and friendly and prices were reasonable. Would certainly come again if I was back in the area.

I like this place. There are too few 'Greasy Spoon' cafes offering a decent breakfast. You can get a 'Gatehouse Breakfast' for £8.95. The service is friendly. Music plays. The blackboard menu is on the wall.In an age of healthy eating, Wetherspoon's breakfasts, and thsi type of food being treated like the devil, it would be said if these types of places died out. A good place to have a good English breakfast.Top tip: Tether your laptop to your phone because there's no wi-fi.

Recently Everytime I stay in Aylesbury I come here for breakfast and am never disappointed :)It's cooked to order so if it's busy you just have to wait but it's worth it!You order at the Til, take your number then they call it out and bring it over to you. The large tea and coffee are really large and come in a massive mug.We pay the extra for the good sausages and they taste yummy - the selection of breakfasts are vast and I recommend the black pudding too. Exceptionally clean ladies loo as well.

First time I've used this place. Food is top notch, tasty and good quality for what you get, good ingredients, friendly staff, and full of families. If you've seen reviews about the time it takes for food to be served, that's because everything is made fresh....there's even a giant sign that points this out! It's definitely a must for breakfast, don't waste your time anywhere else. :)

Went in this morning for a take away sandwich. After half an hour of waiting and watching everyone get their food after they ordered after me -one bloke ordered a fully cooked meal, got it, ate it and had left! the waitress asked the boss where it was whose reply was "let him (swear word, 4 letters beginning with F, ending in K) wait I am not making the order until I'm ready" oblivious to the fact I was right behind her and heard every word. Although she shouted it so loudly everyone heard it! Felt sorry for the waitress so didn't take further, not her fault after all. If you want to pay for this type of service go ahead. personally I would rather have a simple "sorry for the wait" style of response. Will go to the burger van around in the corner from now on

have been a couple of time over the last 2 years, this time was the best one. Food served quickly, both girls friendly and offered the choice of sausages etc, swapped few things over so we had a really nice breakfast with our fave foods and was generous portions.

I love this cafe, i have only been here a handful of times due to the location but has never been anything but amazing! Great fry up breakfast, lovely bacon sarni, great jacket potatos! My husband uses this cafe most days as he works across the road and always says what a lovely lunch he has had, the girls that work there are lovely and smiley and have a nice chat! Always happy to give this diner my custom!

Lovely staff make you feel so welcome , food was delicious and hot , I'm fussy with coffee yet mine was perfect.Toilets were very clean and over all the quality of staff and building were far more than I was expecting.

Good builders type food, quite tasty not a bad price, you might have to wait a while for it especially if they forget to make your order.

Transport style cafe only open in the working hours, well until 2pm.right next to Toolstation, so good for two jobs at once.Standard decent Tea and sausage in a bun style cafe.mostly used by local workers in the daytime; but they do a hot breakfast too. Free parking, but the road is always gridlocked, so take your time.

Have popped in to this café many times with hubby, the food is always freshly cooked and hot and is not overpriced . the staff are very friendly and attentive . Absolutely great for a snack ,all day breakfast or roast dinner whatever your fancy , 10/10

I have used this place several times over the years, always because of convenience, not through true choice, and the food is always a let down to me. Service is fine and it always appears clean but the sausages in particular are poor and it is not cheap for what you get.
