Our favourite breakfast spot! Staff are very friendly and always make sure you are looked after well - quality food i would definitely recommend this spot for breakfast lovers. Beautiful Family business and everyone smiles!!!

Decent independent coffee shop that also does basic food

The only thing this business needs is WD40 for noisy, squeaky door and some music.

I've been here a few times now for breakfast, food quality is good each time, and service is friendly as well. The prices are fair, you can scale up the breakfast based on the number of items you want, and vegetarians are catered for as well. The atmosphere is good, just a quiet buzz about the place, not too loud so you can talk with friends without shouting over loud music. This also makes it ideal for working for an hour or two, I didn't ask if the accept remote workers but there are a few plugs near a lot of the tables, so the space would be well suited for it. Overall, excellent experience and I will go back.

Meant to be meeting someone at Costa next door but as wanted to support local business, I thought I’d try it out. Walked in and greeted the cashier. Was met with a glance then she resumed reading her list. I sat down. She then started cleaning coffee machine so I left, on the basis I that I wouldn’t be served anytime soon. Noted the broken door handle and tired condition inside. So much for supporting local businesses

Fantastic coffee shop, couple doors down from a well-known coffee brand, BUT it is busier and cheaper. Great good, wonderful staff, who are very helpful and courteous. It's definitely worth a return visit.

This used to be such a lovely cafe. Busy, friendly and great food. Having not been for a few years we have been back recently. It's changed so much. The staff are surly, disinterested and bordering on rude. The place is empty and the food is mediocre at best.

Absolutely terrible place, server was rude and tried to overcharge us for food that tasted like it had just come out of freezer an microwaved. Spoke with other locals who said "they always do that, especially to old people an new customers". The menu offers free tea, but only if you have the small breakfast, if you get the dear one, you pay extra and the free tea is only before 11 a.m. we ordered at 10.35 an by the time we went to pay it was 11.15. Tried to charge us £25 for a breakfast that should have been £20.80 but was only worth £10-15 at most. Have had better presented, tastier food and more reasonably priced at a carboot burger van.....

Went here back in February. Will never go back. Was stood at the counter for nearly 5 minutes. While watching staff member in front of me behind the counter on her mobile phone. Didn't even make eye contact with me! As I decided to walk out due to the utter rudeness, she finished her call and asked me as I turned my back if she could help? Too late! Went to Costa a few doors away where much friendlier and welcoming. Customer service counts for a lot. Hence, I will never step foot in here again

Great little local cafe. It has a good selection of lunch items and all day cooked breakfast. Good value for money, as well!

Food was tasty only small criticism was the bacon was really dry. But it may of just been a one off everything else was nice

Just been charged £17.60 for 2 cappuccinos and 2 bacon rolls ( 1 with sausage in it). Both rolls cost £5.60 even though 1 only had bacon. I don't mind paying high prices if the quality was good but it wasn't. The rolls were dry and bacon was overcooked. Never again, very disappointed.

Lovely. We love it there. Not been for a while. Great food, great service. NOT cheap, but affordable xx. FAMILY RUN.

Got a table quickly and staff polite, free parking directly outside. Ordered a tuna Mayo sandwich, I wasn’t asked if I wanted white or brown bread, or salad etc. When it arrived, it was literally 2 slices of white bread, tuna filling and that’s it. No leaves on the side or a few crisps to jazz it up - literally looked like something I’d make at home in a rush!! Really disappointed- for £5.00 I would expect better presentation & something more.

I am astonished as to the tense environment created by the failure of management. I went into this cafe with a friend, to witness hostility by the manager to their colleague. I was greeted by a lovely young lady who proved nothing but what this cafe stands for. There has been a recent trend in poor treatment of colleagues by those in the high hierarchy and as a customer, this is not something I want to see. People need to remember to keep their bad days to themselves and to not inflict it onto innocent colleagues.

I been with my son this morning of 14 of March, nobody was there when one of the guess told the is someone on the kitchen and after 3 minutes I come to say hi and after this cheff in black clothes told me hi , been waiting other 5 minutes on the table sat , aftet this cheff served the plates outside, he was serving in the bar other man who just come from the door so don't open doors if is not staff in and more because you ruin the time for my son breackfast and I need went Costa coffee instead next door. Its very sad because food its wonderful there and staff always lovely.

FROM A REGULAR *DISSABLED* CUSTOMER AT THIS COFEE SHOP ... I have been there before but my fried got told off by the waitress for sitting in empty chairs when no one was outside and after he got upset the Owner approached us and was extremely rude to me NOT THE WAY YOU SHOULD DEAL WITH THE PUBLIC. NOT IMPRESSED. WONT BE FREQUENTING THIS PLACE AGAIN.

It's a Café, if you're expecting a la carté you'll be disappointed. However if you're expecting a nice meal and fresh coffee you'll be pleasantly surprised. Staff are friendly, tables are clean, prices are reasonable, can't ask for much more.

The staff were very friendly and the order was taken promptly. The food when it arrived was very good - no issues. However the big problem is the wait time for the food to arrive. It took ages and with two grandchildren to entertain it was difficult. Despite a request to see when the food would be appearing, it still didn’t appear until later. So in conclusion a good cafe with good food but take a book with you!

Free parking, good menu, nice breakfast and good service. Perfect!

Expensive 15 pound for a breakfast

Went there for breakfast, sat at a table, after 15 minutes passed and nobody acknowledge we were there or even attempted to take our order. Not even an I'll be with you shortly. So we got up and left. Went to morrisons Cafe and had a lovely breakfast.

Had a lovely breakfast in the coffee been Bedgrove today. Food was good other then an egg that was completely over cooked. The staff were friendly and great atmosphere. Only issue was the bill, me and my friend were both overcharged, even when I brought it to attention the staff still couldn’t seem to grasp the basic maths and we were overcharged by a total of £4.

Been going here for years and have never had a bad experience. Great food, friendly service, not too pricey. What's not to like. The worst thing is that you can't always find a seat straight away but that is because they're good and therefore busy.

Loved every bit , had a full English and a caramel latte.. very nice. Only went here so I could get fried bread with my breakfast - no-one else seems to do it anymore... Glad I did,. Will definitely return

Absolutely appalled by the service here. When me and my cousin first entered the coffee shop but we were stunned by the rudeness of a lady in which seemed to be the manager. I had greeted her and she simply ignored me. I had asked for a portion of chips and a Panini also with chips she had asked me whether I wanted it plain or not in regards two sources (or so I thought) and of course I wanted it plain. My cousin was next to order and she had asked if the Man behind us could go first we didn’t think much of it so we moved to the side even though that was incredibly rude and I wouldn’t of expected it. When we were scolded to sit down we had to wait at least 25 minutes just for a water and another 10 for the food there were not many people and we had not ordered much either. Finally the food arrived and we were completely confused it was just one Panini with one portion of chips but it’s extra small. When I asked the lady she’d simply disregarded it and I was clearly overcharged as the board had said £2 for chips and I was charged 230 based on the receipt also I had asked for two portions of chips and she completely denied it and said that she asked whether I wanted it plain or not. My cousin made her way to the toilet where she was sounding disgusting on sanitary toilet with no hand soap or toilet roll left she was completely disheartened and disgusted. She wanted to simply wash her hands on the taps were broken and hand dryer not in use. I rarely ever get that disappointed with any type of shop but today really shocked me with the service in there I wouldn’t recommend this at all and the food is so overpriced for what it is the staff are rude and unfriendly and it’s just disgusting overall.

I visit here a fair bit, it's not one of these fancy trendy places, more like a proper cafe, great breakfast that actually fills you up. Nice coffee and very pleasant staff

I asked for a single macchiato, they didn't understand and they wanted to give me a mocha. It is simply a coffee with milk. In fact, it is not written on the menu and can be found everywhere. My boyfriend's single espresso was water.

Too quiet in here, they needed the radio on for some background noise. The girls working in there were very polite. Food was tasty and came promptly but drinks took quite a while to arrive.

Okay, I haven't been here in quite a number of years. And my memory of the food and place where much different then what I experienced this time. Firstly, every single piece of white furniture was covered in grime top to bottom. I just had a yucky feeling. Next the food was a complete disappointment. My club sandwich had floppy toast and was loaded with 1 inch of shredded cheese, wet floppy lettuce and bacon that was hard as a rock. My wife had salmon and scrambled eggs were on a piece of bread that wasn't even toasted and it was soaked through as well. The eggs had no seasoning to speak of and the salmon was just a packet from the shop chopped and all stuck together. The bread was standard Hovis seeded bread which we saw walk through the shop before our order was served. I watched front of house staff carry two cold "jacket potatoes" from the front to the back (in their bare hands) and someone get some served them 2 minutes later. I know a little about food safety having worked in a kitchen for 2 years and this isn't how you do things. Did this place get new ownership?

Would love to give more stars but we had to wait a very very long time for food. We ordered tea first which took 10 minutes to arrive. We then ordered breakfast which took about half hour then my children decided they wanted a milkshake which took another 25 minutes. We tried to get the milkshakes to go as we got bored of waiting but when we went to ask the milkshakes were ready but just sat there. Food was very nice but the wait is far too long. You would think they would be all over this giving the amount of comments on here and the fact that Costa is next door.

Hands down the best breakfast in Aylesbury. Quality ingredients cooked to order (so expect a wait) great staff helpful welcoming environment. I can't rate this place highly enough.

I hadn’t been into this coffee shop for quite a while . The coffee was good otherwise not a great experience. The cake was dry bordering stale and as it had been purchased from a large cash n carry I was disappointed as I know what it should taste like! No I didn’t say anything as I just wanted to drink my coffee and go! The place felt sad and there was no hustle and bustle as it used to be when there was a chance you wouldn’t get a table! I think it may have changed hands . Such a shame as it used to be a great little eating place.

Sad to say the service was dreadful this time (I have been in here many times before). My husband & I waited for such a long time (there weren't a lot of customers in there to be served) I had to raise my hand and loudly say, "excuse me", to get the attention of the two women serving. A short while later a gentleman came in and was also left, so much so that he walked up to the counter and said, "excuse me, I thought it was table service in here!". Definitely poor service this time.

Absolutely wonderful CLUB Sandwich and lovely chips. This cafe is such a great place to go, independent and well supported by the community of Bedgrove. We use it regularly, but always forget to put a review up. However, I am always impressed, friendly staff, clean, wonderful food and at this present time very Covid secure. Great job Coffee Bean. Popped in for a covid friendly coffee, but didn't stay long as it was really noisy and service was poor. Haven't been for a few years and will probably try the Costa next door. Disappointed by the decline

Rude staff! I would not recommend this place at all! Plus I think they overcharged me, probably on purpose! I will definitely not be going back. There are so many nicer places with friendly staff to eat that are similar or even better than this place. This is a cafe run by young girls who think they can behave appallingly and clearly haven't grown up! Or have any sense at all. Do not expect any intelligence here. There are mixed reviews here and it is an ok cafe but overall it is a 1 star from me and there is nicer places to go and you would probably have a better experience. This place is on the expensive side and the toilets are really not good. They are always out of toilet paper or hand soap.

We had a lovely lunch here, food was quick and fresh. I thought all staff were really friendly and helpful, should it matter how old they are if they work hard? The rules with Covid where actually being followed really well - staff wearing, NHS app to scan, tables spaced out well.Bad reviews can damage a company so it's very important to share when it's great too - would always use here over Costa next door. Well done to the team for working so hard.

Did not go to coffee bean have not been there for coffee for months owing to self distancing.

Nice to see an independent coffee shop instead of a chain one. Sandwiches are made fresh to order. Maybe staff could be different age ranges with more experience, but they were ok I guess. Waited outside for my order , coffees were nice if a tad expensive ( but eager to help a small business after lockdown). Sandwich freshly made was nice . Indoor or outdoor seating which is great. Place looked clean and popular. Overall nice.

Lovely brunch and very accommodating with my vegan requests for my son

Usually i absolutely love this place, its a shame but with the current climate i don't find it safe enough here. The tables aren't distanced even 1m inside and due to lack of space if you order for takeaway you're walked past again and again because excess tables are stacked in the doorway.

Came today 9/8/20 for breakfast. Not very friendly or welcoming staff. Overpriced menu, decided on breakfast, then it arrived... watery almost powdered scramble egg (completely inedible) bacon (undercooked with white chewy fat/rind left on), sausages (if you can even call them that more like cocktail sausages) beans (just not enough), black pudding (overcooked and crumbling) fried bread (probably the only adequate item on the plate) everything was overpriced. No wonder costa was soo busy next door. You have so much potential being an independent to dominate here in your market. A real shame, I certainly won’t be returning.

Good food but very slow service and toilet and toilet area was disgusting and obviously not bsing cleaned every day judging by tissues and bits on the floor and overflowing bin. £28 for three breakfasts is a bit steep. Seems to be going downhill fast, it used to be good.

Diamond in the rough cafe, great food and good service too. Had a full fry up which was top quality and cooked perfectly - the beans were 'proper' too 😘👌 also had a strawberry smoothie which was delicious. Good to know if I'm ever in that area again.

Took our granddaughter after school for a treat. Had to ask for service as front of house lady was on her phone and ignored us. Asked for a sausage roll to takeaway to be wrapped in foil to keep it warm, got it just put in a bag. Sugar dispenser held together with sellotape. This place has really gone downhill. The cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired.

This place seemed okay, I'm more of a builders cafe person rather than the trendy cafe. Never got any food so can't rate on that but this 5 stars is due to the cleanliness and lovely staff working on the day

Warm, welcoming and friendly. A lovely spot to catch up with friends or just take refuge from the Great British weather! I didn't try the food but there was a big choice. The cappuccino was lovely.

Had to wait 35 minutes for our breakfast, whilst several tables of builders came in after us and got there’s, ate it and left before we got our food. Tables next to us complained too they were there before us and got their order after us. When we did get our order it was ok but not worth the wait.
