Absolutely shocking service. Purchased a mixed platter which came cold not only this but the meat was raw. The chicken was still pink and bloody absolutely vile. Waiter came and collected meal agreed that food was raw and took back to chefs who stood and laughed at the meal they cooked. Would not recommend to anyone save your money and go elsewhere in the marina.

A dull Easter Monday, but sitting next to the window the light reflecting off the paving outside brightened our day. Together with some scrumptious offerings including an Easter fudge brownie and a pineapple and mint smoothie. Always something here to tempt a cafe cynic like myself! And pleasant chats with customers and staff - it's the place to go in Kemptown! It may be a bottleneck of an entrance, but there is a fair amount of space inside - which was necessary to use today because of the rain. And the scaffolding being in the way of erecting the parasols. And relax... the food makes you forget all little problems, the herbal flavours and great combinations. Could stay there for afternoon tea as well if I hadn't eaten that delicious crepe already!

Large comfy restaurant. The food is good and well cooked Turkish. Not sure why they also do pasta but we stuck with Turkish. 4 stars because yes it’s a bit overpriced for what you get, but the prices are back in line if you go on a Monday or Tuesday for the 20% off. In all, good meal.

Seed is always our go-to for lunch in Hastings, we only live in Rye but there's nowhere in Rye for tapas.. this time we took friends and it didn't disappoint! Our friends spend a lot of time in Spain, as has my partner, and they said the Seed tapas surpassed what they're used to in Spain! High praise indeed. We selected from the menu rather than having the bottomless brunch.. a few veggie/seafood, albondigas, chorizo w. potatoes, pork belly.. it was all absolutely delicious. The staff were friendly and attentive, the new expanded location on the south side is light and bright, and we were interested to see a cellar space which would be great for a party! My only small negative would be the bread, it was nice, but when we've been before we've had chunks of beautiful light, oily focaccia.. It does work out a little spendy, £170 for 4 for lunch, but we did have quite a lot to drink! Prob around £25 p/head just for the food. This remains our go-to.. keep up the great work Seed!

Outside is nice but most tables uncomfortable in cafe bit. Service off hand and be careful as in small print in menu they mention 20% VAT applied to dine in and 10% discretionary service. So on looking at the menu you need to add 30% if eating in.. thought it was not good value for money

I'm really surprised by some of the previous reviews but looking at the dates, they were some time ago. I went for lunch with a friend in July 2024 and was so impressed with the food and very friendly service, I returned with my husband for lunch. We really enjoyed it and would return again.

This place never disappoints. Great food, excellent service and nothing too much effort. We were served by Marius. He was very funny, cheeky and excellent company. My friend was partially sighted and he made sure we picked a table in the light as it helps her see more. Fantastic on the spur of the moment visit.

My husband and I shared a couple of gluten free cakes, carrot and polenta with orange and a pot of earl grey tea each with proper cups and saucers, unlike M&S which does not provide saucers anymore! It was a very enjoyable break after our shopping visit before we went home. Staff were very friendly, helpful and polite.

Had breakfast. Cheap food price but the quality of food was poor. Toast soggy 45p type loaf.. Bacon cheapest you can get. Saving grace was egg was done well. Total rip off for drinks. Caramel Latte charged 70 p more making it a whopping £4.50 as they had a “mistake” price on their menu.1) why have they not corrected it 2) why don’t they point it out when ordering. Milk shake was like £1 milkshake from Morrisons across the road, but obviously marked up in price.
