The Garden Cafe in New Forest

An excellent cafe that we use on a regular basis. the food is consistently good, the service is very good and the staff are friendly. They serve an excellent breakfast and the food is always cooked fresh to order. There are a variety of teas and coffees too. They also do a variety of lunches too. It is reasonably priced.

A nice cafe. The food is good and the music was definitely to my taste. Only bad point which dropped a star is the plates we had for our breakfasts had bulging bottoms. This caused them to spin when we tried to cut things making it interesting to eat.

We weren't allowed in because I had an assistance dog so they wouldn't serve us

Not very good quality produce very noisy where we sat by the kitchen. We waited quite a long time as they were dealing with take outs first before our order I wouldn't go there again

Had a lovely breakfast with my brother. Excellent service, food good value. Will be back. There's some builders doing roof so a little bit of noise. But it didn't effect us.

This cafe is very close to where I work and I have sampled many different foods from them. Lovely and friendly staff, sometimes if you are early enough, you can hear the chef singing in the kitchen. The coffee there is the best and I would definitely recommend their omelettes

Just had a latte here meeting a friend. Table service available. Quieter than Costa and definitely not as expensive!

Went for breakfast on a Sunday morning, order taken and drinks quickly served. Two mega breakfast arrived as ordered, but don't expect mushrooms or tomato without paying extra (£1.50 per additional item). For a breakfast costing nearly £10 you'd expect these cheap items. Seems the more you pay for breakfast the less variety of items you get. The food quailty is quite low too. Cheap products. Drinks are extra too, not included in breakfast cost. So over £26 for 2 breakfast with coffee.

Town centre cafe. Food is freshly cooked and reasonably priced. Full English breakfask £8.90, too much for me to eat, lol. Pot of tea £2.50 or £2 for a mug. New decor it was clean and the staff were helpful. There is plenty of town centre parking nearby, so it's worth a visit if you are in New Milton.

We were so excited to see we could get breakfast delivered to lymington! But the veggie sausages need sending back to the 80s where you found them! So many nice veggie sausages available now that you don't expect a breakfast baguette to turn up with these atrocities with bits of pea and carrot inside. Couldn't eat it, 100% guaranteed to make a hangover worse. These are the option always bought by any restaurant who literally hates vegetarians, please change them.

Awful food and service. £30+ for a light lunch and drinks. Cold atmosphere, don’t know what is ‘garden’ about this cafe. Couldn’t eat the food, the waitress was not approachable in the slightest so paid the bill and decided NEVER to return.

Having arrived on the train from Portsmouth for an appointment. Had time for some breakfast. Arrived in cafe approx 11am. Order taken promptly and hot drinks served. We waited and waited for our food. Several other customers came in after us and had their food before us! My partner, who has worked in a busy hotel restaurant, could see the orders being moved about on the wall in the kitchen. Chef was prioritising other orders? Washing up was being done, tables were being cleared as other customers were awaiting to pay. Only one person was using the till. After 45 minutes we left the cafe after offering to pay for the drinks we had as we needed to get to our appointment. On a first impression, serve customers in the correct order not what is easiest to prepare.

Sunday for four people. Very clean resturant. Service: quick and friendly. Food: Short wait but food of good quality and well presented. Mega- breakfast was very good value. In all, well pleased. Will visit again.

Cheap nasty milkshake & a cheap nasty sausage bap that contained just the one sausage & a cheap roll. I know it’s only a £2.50 special but one sausage! Really?!

Prices gone up to much nearly £5 for beans on toast and thin bread and could count the beans also £2 can of pop 😫

Such a not welcoming staff!!! Came in and left straight away. Grumpy face of the front of the house and his bad energy doesn't encourage to even try coffee and food there....

We always have breakfast there it always clean tidy and the staff ate very friendly.

Fantastic breakfast to visits in 2days in a row 😋 and a very nice flat white coffee ☕️ not to strong just right. Highly recommended. Would go back when in the area again

Stopped off for a coffee only to discover they have a minimum spend of £10 on card transactions! Really ? Ended up going to Costa. Prefer to support local independent places but on this occasion had to go elsewhere. Shame.

Really lovely cafe very welcoming staff my son said the caramel latte was "the best he's ever had" we came for breakfast and were not disappointed the food was good, the only thing i didnt personally enjoy were the sausages but theyre like chip shop sausages so if you like those youll love these, great portion sizes and fairly priced would recommend and would happily go back

Hands down the worst cafe I’ve ever been to. Overpriced disgusting food. Beans flooded, bacon uncooked, all ingredients tasted cheap and nasty. Hats off to the cafe for staying in business

Very friendly, food choices very good for a café, with good size portions. Some alfresco seating in the front with a rear garden for warmer days. Good range of beverages

First time in the cafe today. Lovely owners/staff and good service. The Latte was really nice and the prawn pannini was the best one I've tasted. Scones were delicious too. Would highly recommend a visit.

We had a couple of takeaway orders from The Garden Cafe, whilst we were on holiday in the New Forest recently. The food always arrived on time, piping hot and absolutely delicious! We highly recommend the cottage pie and the chilli! Fabulous homely cooking! Thank you so much!! See you again!

Very tasty breakfast at a good price. You can also mix and match adding ingredients to your breakfast, I had black pudding added to my full breakfast. Coffe was good and can also be ordered to take away. Staff was friendly and polite.

We go to Taste Buds once a week and have great service and quality food every time. It's my favourite place to eat out within New Milton, Milford on Sea and Lymington. Highly recommended.
