We booked for the Wednesday five course meal deal and were not disappointed. The restaurant itself has a cafe vibe and would benefit from more accessories to the decor but it was bright and clean. Service was swift, but our main course order was taken as we were eating our starters which felt odd. Staff were respectful and helpful. The food was tasty and plentiful but not exactly five courses, more starters and sides. This did not hinder our enjoyment as we ate more than enough. The chicken in my murgh makhni was very tender and the prawn puri starter was lovely. Kingfisher 650ml lager was £6.50. The rest of my party agreed it was well worth the visit.

Very Noisy. Poor service . Very overpriced Food Quality not great for price charged . Portionssmall . Had much nicer meals in other Portsmouth indian restaurants. There is no ambience it's just very Noisy Obviously they rely on the marina for business as I'm sure they go out of business quite quickly elsewhere. I definitely wouldn't recommend this restaurant if you want a nice relaxed quite ambience. Works canteen atmosphere is more like it

I don’t know where to even start . My first and last time ever . I had a very disappointing experience at Curry Garden. The staff were not only unprofessional but outright rude, making me feel unwelcome from the start. Any questions we had about the menu were met with short, dismissive answers, and it felt as if they couldn’t care less about providing a good experience. As for the food, it was equally underwhelming. The curry was bland, lacked the rich flavors you’d expect, and tasted as though little care was put into its preparation. For a place that specializes in curry, I expected much better quality. To make matters worse, when I tried to address a concern, I was met with eye rolls and a completely unprofessional attitude. It’s hard to enjoy a meal when you feel like you’re being treated with outright disrespect. Overall, between the rude service and mediocre food, I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a pleasant dining experience. There are far better places for curry where you’re treated with respect and served delicious food. Skip this one. Just remembered ! Also I purchased 2 Coca-Cola when I was there with my wife waiting for our meal , and I was really disappointed and shocked !. Imagine this ! they use a 2 Liter plastic coke bottle that you can buy from the shops for £1.50 but these scumbags sell it to me for £3.50 each the coke of course was warm and completely flat--no fizz at all!, they weren’t so clever to even put it in the fridge ( I saw it sitting on their table before I even came in the restaurant ) It tasted stale and unrefreshing, which is not what I expect from such a well-known brand. I was looking forward to enjoying a cold, bubbly soda, but this was a letdown. .

We went to Spices as we fancied a curry and we were not disappointed. The food was superb and so yummy. In fact, we couldn't eat it all and the waiter kindly put what we left in a takeaway box, which we had for lunch the next day. Would definitely go again when visiting Saltburn.

Still 0 out of 10. Caught the manager and the waiter in the bathroom AGAIN and my water had a yellow hue. I never knew water could have such a distinct taste. The staff treated me horribly because of my last review and my wife was slapped by the manager for asking for the menu. Would not recommend although gets a slight improvement over last time for teaching my wife a lesson about speaking to men. Hope people heed this advice and stay FAR AWAY (unless they want to punish their wife) from this place- Jordan Noonster34 and Izzy 20 (In 11 years)

Takeaway. Taste of India. Holt. Boosts. TASTE OF INDIA HOLT is an Authentic Cuisine in HOLT, tempted by an unrivaled range of Authentic & Imaginative traditional and fusion dishes. My Order 1 x Onion baji £4.25 1 x Chicken Tikka Massala £10.50 1 x Aloo Gobi £4.50 1 x Vegtable Rice £4.15 1 x Bindi Bhaji £4.50 Total £27.90 I have used this restaurant and takeaway many times but 16 October 2024 will be the last time. You might think that Garlic is part of Indian food but this is the first time this restaurant has put or used it in any of the dishes that I have chosen in the last 7 years. To me, Garlic spoils the taste of food and takes over any Authentic Tastes it ends up tasting of Garlic. The size of the onion bargees (see snap) is just a bit bigger than a ping-pong ball, there are onions for goodness sake and very little price increase in a net full of onions over the last 3 years, what the heck? Dont say that the labour costs are much higher than 2 years ago, it's an onion Barge They have also started to use a ready-made red sauce, certainly NOT an original tasting Tandori-made sauce that they boost as part of their advertising. This has lost the authentic Indian-tasting food I once enjoyed from here and in my opinion the sauce is an insult to traditional Indian cooking and food. Their foil trays are now a lot smaller than say 18 months ago. When once a tray was suitable for 1 1/2 to 2 persons is now only good for 1 person. I get the feeling that since it's the only Indian Restaurant in the HOLT area they can cook and deliver food that is not as good as it once was including the smaller food trays. There was nothing Authentic about the food I had ordered. Authentic Indian food is one of the best-tasting types of food available but this was and is an insult to Indian food. An extremely disappointing Indian Takeaway in taste and size of portions from once a delightful tasting and smelling Indian food from this, restaurant/takeaway. In my opinion, they need to rethink what. Traditional Indian Tasting Food means.

Family of four visit with two older teens for my sons 17th birthday. Went to the Sunday buffet on Sunday 29th September 2024 at 6pm. Had booked a table and given details of sons birthday... there was no confirmation sent to email or text message to confirm.Aargrah used to be a quality place to eat 10 years ago...which was why we decided to give it a go. The Sunday buffet was £15.95- summer special. Limited choice of food- many of the tureens for starters were quite empty. The kebabs were dry and overcooked, the vegetable pakoras were cold. There were no chips available in the tureen. the rice tureen was quite empty. The positive was the Naan breads were cooked fresh and could be ordered.. It seemed short staffed... While they asked how the food was as a courtesy, I didn't give a positive reply, but they didn't follow up. We paid the bill and left. We definately won't go back and certainly wouldn't recommend this place to friends, family or even enemies. Aargrah in Wakefield doesn't live up to the reputation it once had...in my opinion.

Now a small restaurant at the side of a pub in Shipston, I imagine that like us, most people order takeaway food from Chutneys. The starters and mains we ordered were excellent, really tasty and it'll take a few more visits to decide if this is better than the improved Shipston Bengal, which it may well be.

Not great, we ordered a take away, and when they told us the price they said it was £43.00 when actually it was £33.00. They quickly agreed but that put doubt in making the order. The food was luke warm, not much flavour in both curries we had. The peshwari nan was bland and very dry, awful mushroom pilu rice that had hard peas in it????? Mint dip not great, only thing that was good was the red dip. As this was the first time we ordered from them, unfortunately this will be the last.
