I had a veg Korma that was almost entirely sauce . Had to hunt for vegetables. My husband had a chicken dish without much chicken and a paneer dish with not much cheese. Really disappointed won’t be ordering from them again

Ordered a takeaway tonight said it would be ready in half hour when we got there it was all ready for us we got home it was cold chicken was very dry also had onion bargi and that was like a brick so hard and also tasteless the whole meal was terrible even the poppadoms were stale won’t be going again

After a long time since our last visit it was great to see the food was as delicious as I remembered it.

We bowled in at 7pm for a close friend's 80th birthday celebration meal. There were about 20 of us & we pretty well filled the small curry restaurant. The service & food is simply excellent. I definitely recommend it so go on give it a try.You won't be disappointed.

First time ordering and what amazing fresh authentic Indian food it was , the delivery came earlier than expected bonus was hot and tasty delicious will definitely be using them again

Disappointing arrived at 17:45 to be told the restaurant wasn’t open but we could sit and wait. Although online it says it’s open from 17:30. After waiting 15 minutes I asked could I have a cold drink to which I was advised to go to the shop a few doors up as it was cheaper and that they only had Diet Coke. From a customers point of view at least give them an option of either buying in the restaurant or not. 15 minutes later after numerous telephone orders being placed we was then asked did we want any popadoms to which me and my friend said yes. When they came out they where stale at least a day old and after the first popadom we left the rest. The meal was okay nothing to rave about, I asked for pillar rice and received rice with burnt peas and carrots in. At no time while eating was we asked did we enjoy the food or would we like a drink even if it was just a glass of water. So would I go back … No Very disappointing overall.

Food standards agency only gave the premises a 1star rating. They need to improve their food hygiene standards.

How lovely are the team, very kind, friendly people. The food is always excellent. However I did have a problem, I didn't like the meal I had ordered. One of the waiters noticed I wasn't eating and straight away gave me the menu to choose another meal. Not charging me for the meal I disliked. How kind was that. The restaurant is always immaculate, the team are lovely. Thank you so much. And every customer is treated the same. Withbthe greatest respect. The team can't do enough for you.

Excellent service ! We sometimes eat at the Restaurant, but tonight had a takeaway. I don’t eat red meat, and was inadvertently sent a Lamb curry. I rang up and they were very understanding and provided the chicken dish I ordered immediately. Great service, a lovely local curry house !

Chicken balti & keema curry looked exactly the same ie same sauce, lots of tomatoes & very orange in colour. Hardly any pieces of chicken & keema - what keema! Thought it would have improved from our first experience but unfortunately not. I would go to the Merrymaid in Highgate or Hen & Chickens in constitution hill as that is what you call a curry.

Bring your own beer and wine here. I can imagine the business lose profits because of this, but it should suit most customers in terms of saving money. I had two poppadoms, vegetable biryani and a trio nan for just under £15. The chutney was added to my bill, then removed once I pointed this out. Not the best curry I've had, but not bad either. Very accommodating service. Worth giving them a try.

Overall a poor experience, we ordered the Takha dhall and it was like a soup, we also ordered the mixed grill which had a single prawn and to make it look big a tandoori bone with no meat. Dry portions of meat. Service was also poor we had to ask 3 times for water and there were a total of 6 people in. Do yourself a favour and walk into sutton where you have much better choice.

It's been our go-to indian for 8 years. Always brilliant. Ali,Sunny, and other staff are great guys, and food is always amazing. Try it!

Twice Iv had problems with this restaurant made bookings got there n they said they double booked the table no apologies try to giv me another table in middle of the room which I didn’t want that’s why I booked in the window place is cramped so rude never going back no stars for me 😡

I like to support this restaurant as there are so few in Walmley Village. We were able to get a table without booking but the waiter’s were distant and barely civil when taking our order. The food was of poor quality with the chicken especially being inedible- stringy and horrible. We did not finish our meals.

Visit every Saturday night. Yes, I'm a creature if habit! Never been disappointed, food excellent, staff/owners very friendly. Definitely recommend.

Arrived at 7 pm, orders were taken at 8.05. Yoghurt sauce was like water, popadoms were cold. Starters arrived at 8.45. Main meals eventually arrived at 9.40. The waiters didn't pay us any attention. Another table of 4 walked out. It was only half full, too! It's absolutely shocking. Never again!

I organised a team meal with 23 people. We were impressed with our meals and the staff were very friendly and attentive throughout the evening. I will be organising more meals here in future.

For the 2nd year running we travelled 174miles to enjoy Christmas Day lunch at this wonderful restaurant with our family.The food was delicious and plentiful could not have been bettered but even better was the attention and welcome from the owners and staff our only wish would be if the restaurant was nearer home

10:02pm walk in, it was empty and the guy said he’s shut the kitchen off. Terrible service even worse they just couldn’t be bothered. Big fail -1 star

Went for a meal 20/10/22 - starter chicken Bombay fry was cold in parts and other parts piping hot as if it had been warmed up in the microwave and just tasted of pure grease - main course - I had meat dupiaza minus some of the meat I think the chef forgot to put much in and the 4 pieces that was in there was minuscule there was more pepper and onion than meat and sauce and was tasteless - would not recommend. My husband had the chicken tikka rogan josh he had 6 small pieces of chicken and a plate full of tomatoes when we stated this to the waiter he did give us a discount a whole £2.50 - no atmosphere - 2 waiters who didn’t care about any customers - definitely not going back - it used to be a nice place not anymore

Very tasty food, full of flavour and great presentation. Dining in is bring your own alcohol. Would recommend for dining in and takeaway.

We visit whenever we can and it is the best curry house in Sutton Coldfield. The food is consistently very good and Ali is an amazing host. He knows his regulars well and always makes them feel welcome.

A surprising local gem. The Sunday special is great although the waiter tried to charge me full price when I went to pick it up!

Sometimes you travel to restaurants and ignore those on your doorstep and then when you visit you realise you don’t have to travel far! We had an early evening meal, Chicken Sagwala for me and Chicken Korma for my wife with a boiled rice and Nan bread to share. Popadoms and Chicken Tikka starters. Staff were lovely, food was served piping hot and it was very tasty. Note to self, use your local Indian restaurant!!!

Overall the service is very good. The food is nice but found it a little oily. The spicy poppadums were burnt so will stick to normal. It’s local to us so would come here again. Prices are reasonable and the fact you can take your own alcohol is fab!

We drove 174miles to join our daughter and son in law for Christmas Dinner at this exceptional restaurant and we could have not asked for better.Warm welcome on arrival all the staff were happy to see us and then we had the most exceptional Indian feast that we have ever eaten.I only wish that we lived nearer to dine here more often.To all those who had to cancel on Christmas Day I can only say that you certainly missed a real treat

Our best local Indian Restaurant and Take Away, finally we were able to dine in, the manager a lovely man and his staff recognised us after such a long time. That was so lovely. As always the food and dishes were so very tasty, bursting with flavours and complete freshness, made to order. We would highly recommend it 👍💙

After a bad takeaway experience shortly after this restaurant opened (cramped, waiting over the top of sat down diners, witnessing the waiter eating chips off of plates waiting to go out) we decided to give it another try. We ordered online, informed an hour wait. We went down to collect and order not ready. Waited another half an hour. Diners sat around the restaurant were complaining they had waited an hour plus for their food. One table walked out after waiting an hour and a half with no food at all. We finally got our meal home. They had added extra poppadoms - thankyou, but no help to us when you didn't give us the two pots of mango chutney we had paid for to go with it. The food itself needed to be amazing, to make up for the errors and experience of collecting it.... it was average. Not bad, but this morning myself and my husband are regretting it - read as you will.

After waiting an hour and three quarters our patience ran out....we were disgusted with the non existent service.... all they were bothered about was looking after takeaway orders...they don't deserve to prosper. Take a good book to read while you wait all evening

Just back from Indian chef, 1 hour 45 mins after getting in and ordering and no food ( with no apology) got up and left !!, this is the second time it's been like this. Whilst we waited takeaway after takeaway was being prepared. Need to share service with restaurant customers or just be a takeaway. Will not be going back need to find a new curry house in Sutton.

Always reliable, friendly and above average food. Good portions and always a couple of poppadoms thrown in too.

Amazing food we ordered the Kebab kezana and the Goan Gilda chingri bhuna (asked for prawns not to be in shells) Both were delicious…great attentive service as always …. highly recommend

Just had another fabulous meal delivered from this restaurant. Really tasty and fresh. In fact my Wife said it was the best Chicken Sagwalla she's ever had! I had the Meat Bhuna which was fabulous! The popadums were nice and crisp and the Keema Naan was delicious, light and fluffy and packed full of tandoori meat. The Pillau rice was excellent as well. I really can't fault this place and the staff are always polite and friendly.

Was working in Sutton Coldfield so we Went here for my 30th birthday, food was absolutely beautiful fresh tasty fast service and piping hot, I went for the mushroom biriyani and it was the best I ever had. Staff are really friendly and make you feel welcome I’m a massive fan of a Indian where I live in Wales I wish this was closer as I’d be there weekly. And you can take your own drinks bonus!

May 26th home delivery. Ordered and paid for the day before we required the delivery. South Indian Garlic Chilli Chicken has been my favourite dish from here however this time the dish had very little flavour and certainly was not a spicy as it has been previously (or as you'd expect from this dish). Both Nann breads were missing from the order which was placed in person at the restaurant the day before. Fair play, they were delivered very quickly once I called to advise. Everyone else's food was as expected, price was reasonable just a big disappointment with the SIGCC. 😭

Another great meal. As always, beautifully and freshly made. Full flavour, generous portions and great service. The only reason for 4 stars is that they are not licensed to service drinks so unless you want water you need to bring your own. Other than that, I fully recommend

The Bhuna and Tikka Masala are fantastic! Good value for money too, 2 mains, 2 sides and 2 naan bread for £21.

Great food and really friendly whether take away or eat in. Very small so with social distancing will be hard for them. Lets support by continuing to use this excellent place for take away as you wont get any better in the area

Don’t listen to bad reviews this Indian is one of the best food is excellent and staff are unbelievably friendly and helpful during these tough times with Covid-19 I really do hope you guys do reopen and I hope your open for takeaways. Met here for an evening meal with friends and what a disappointment it was! No bar, and food very poor and meat was like rubber! Place was virtually empty and can see why!

Ordered delivery from here 14/12/19 when it was delivered the order was incomplete although it came to £24 on trying to contact them to complain the phone just keep going to answer phone did leave a message but no response hue food was also cold will not be giving the Indian chef any more custom. I now know why I use the Jahad in Wyler green.

We were staying at the nearby Ramada and decided not to opt for a soulless hotel meal but to strike out and look for a more authentic experience.A 15 minute walk ( uphill) led us to this restaurant - which was very busy at 8pm on a Tuesday night. We ordered our food and were surprised not to be offered drinks, and when we asked fo them, were told we'd have to nip out next door and buy our own.Being from Wales, we asked if the restaurant was new and were told it had been open 11 years but didn't have a licence to sell alcohol :)Food was excellent and service with a smile. Would come back if we were ever working in the area again. Thanks

Have been using this restaurant for so.e time but it has got progressively worse had a take away on the 4th 12 2019 was probably the worst indian food we have ever had and we love Indian food had 4 tiny pieces of chicken not even a tablespoon of food my wife had garlic chilies chicken garlic and chillies raw shame this place used to be so good I called the restaurant and told them how bad the food was they said sorry and put the phone down knowing that we ordered regularly if you like good food don't go to this place

Good food great staff and always a pleasure to spend an evening here that is reasonably priced. Take your own choice of drinks and they provide the glasses or open the bottles for you.

My son-in-law’s Birthday. 14 attendees. Food good value, well presented, timely and with good service. A very good local Asian Restaurant. Bring your own soft and alcoholic drinks. Well worth a visit.

Big standard curry house. They seem to use the same base sauce for all their dishes. You'd be better off going further afield if you can. e.g. Purple House in Sutton

Small restaurant that can get very busy so best to book. The food is very tasty, although there is a bit of a wait in busy times, but the wait is definitely worth it. The presentation especially is very good. Nice staff too and you can take your own drinks (Off licence 1 min away)

Arrived on time, we were immediately taken to our table, we were asked if we wanted a beverage whilst waiting for rest of party to arrive Waiters were very attentive. Didn't have to wait too long for starters as there were 11 of us. The mains were served in good time and no one was left waiting too long.Very nice ambiance.Would happily go back again and again

Went Indian chef this evening with my sister. We ordered our meals and had poppadoms to start. Before we had finished poppadoms we were told our main meals were ready so basically told to hurry up. Meals were nice to be fair. However, on paying the bill which was 22.25, we put 25.00 in the basket and waited for the change which we never received. Very rude to presume and just take. We were not offered any desserts or coffee. Given the towels straight after eating our curries. Disappointed to say the least.

I ordered a takeaway from here on the 2nd February when I ordered my food I was told it was a 45 minute wait which was fine, 50 minutes later I went to pick up my food 15 minutes later my food came out I thanked them and went home where I discovered I had been given the wrong bag, i foned them and told them I was on my way back. I was told that they were cooking my order again as by this time it was cold 15 minutes later I was handed my food without an apology or a discount on the price, when I got home my food was cold!! on the following Monday i emailed them to express my disappointment without a reply so the morral of the story is I won’t be going back again they don’t deserve my custom

Visited on a Friday early evening and restaurant was full. Very noisy and seating very cramped making it uncomfortable to stay too long. Food was very good but had to go veggie as all meat is Halal, which we don’t eat. Would go more often if seating was spread out a bit more... think they need a bigger space. If going need to avoid seating by front window, which gets damp due to condensation.

First visit here, great food at good prices and friendly staff. Only thing to watch is they don't sell alcohol, there is an off license a few doors down but it had closed by the time we got there around 9pm
