The food was absolutely amazing and tasty. The staff were polite and helpful. I got a Groupon deal which was easy to redeem. It's unfortunate there wasn't more customer to add to the atmosphere but other than that, we had a pleasant experience and really enjoyed the food.

Ordered takeaway. I was staying in a hotel in city centre the food was 10/10 and the delivery driver was friendly and courteous. Phoned me once outside hotel no problem. I highly recommend

All very satisfactory food of reasonable quality it’s just a bit ordinary and average. Have had much better flavours and food TBH. Asked for extra fresh coriander as it’s always missing off the curries and STILL I didn’t get it. Ah well the search for the perfect Indian takeaway continues..

First time ordering from banu and was absolutely gorgeous food, I had king prawn vindaloo and the prawns was really big and juicy, worth every penny, although they forgot to put the salad in to go with the started so rang them and they offered to come bk and deliver the salad which was really nice of them but I said no worries saves you coming bk out just for the salad and they said thankyou and just mention it nxt time I order and I will be definitely be ordering again and one time go and sit in. We received a warm and friendly welcome and service (and have done whenever we've visited over the years). They have a wide variety of dishes (both vegetarian and non vegetarian), and so you're bound to find something on the menu you would like to try and enjoy.

Ordered a chicken tikka bhuna using Uber eats and didn’t like it much. Onions could have been cooked for longer to make them softer and the chicken find have much flavour. Don’t recommend this curry

Let me start off by saying I ordered food online. Heres what I ordered: Chicken & Egg noodles King Prawn noodles Chicken Curry Chicken Biryani Do you know how they made the noodles? These guys literally must of went to homebargains brought those 3 for £1 noodles or some next corner shop and dunked the chicken and prawn with a some kind of sauce and called it homemade noodles. It was absolutely vile. Next the Chicken curry and my god was this the worst I've ever seen. I felt as if they dumped dog food in a box and said "here eat up buddy". They put a bunch of veggies in the curry which I didn't ask for and also curry was sour instead of mild. Chicken biryani - this was absolutely disgusting and went straight into the bin. If you are looking for Indian cuisine or ordering late at night. Stay very far away from this place. Never ever will be ordering again. £40 gone straight in the bin.

Banu is a small family run business... The missus and I went out for dinner. Customer service was great. The staff were very friendly. We had food from the set menu. Both missus and I enjoyed our dinner; zero complaints from us. I can see us coming back here again.

Best Indian food in Birmingham.

Don't go there if U expect authentic Indian cuisine . Ordered chicken biryani and tikka mixed grill through the Uber app. Food arrived quickly but unfortunately I don't like it Taste is bland and not spicy at all. Can see that restaurant is focused to bring Gori customer.

The food was lovely, but there was barely any meat in the Korma like 4- 5 chunks and lots or sauce. There atmosphere was quiet due to it being New Year’s Eve so we was able to do new years count down with my BBC app. Although it would have been nice for them to have some music on in the background. Lovely service man.

A warm welcome and very friendly staff, continually checking we were happy with our food. We were, it was absolutely delicious ! Soft drinks only, sold on the premises. Not sure if you could take your own alcohol, might be worth asking, we weren’t fussed at the time. Decor basic, but we didn’t mind that, we weren’t dressed to impress. Would definitely eat there again, thank you Banu !

Get takeaway regularly from here and it's great.

I've been eating at Banu for over ten years now and have enjoyed good, friendly service and splendid vegetarian food. The place has a sort of old-fashioned charm about it and isn't too noisy. In my opinion, it is also reasonably priced. This evening, I had a three course meal followed by a nice coffee served with delicious silky cream as requested. For my main meal, I had noodles with korma sauce and it was just the ticket. I'd recommend Banu if you're visiting Birmingham alone or want a meal out with a friend or partner.

The only Indian takeaway I’ll order from. The service is always great and the food is consistently delicious!

Once again. Another amazing experience with Banu. We have ordered from here at least 10 times and every time it is as delicious as the last. I really can’t fault it. The food is delicious, the portions are generous, the flavours are authentic and the service is second to none. They always look after their loyal customers too! The service from the restaurant staff and delivery drivers is fantastic too. On my most recent order they forgot my naan bread but they were apologetic and the driver came straight back within minutes. This is honestly the only negative we have experienced but was quickly resolved and followed up with a complimentary bottle of coke. Please don’t change Banu!

This is a terrible place to eat anything there honestly. All the curries are yuck and unhealthy. We were unhappy and feel like we wasted our hard earning money and flushed down the hole. Never going back to this terrible place.

Arrived midweek on spec, been once before. As ever food excellent and service as friendly as could be. Early evening so I was the atmosphere! The king prawn jalfrezi was excellent and no alcohol.

The food isn’t fresh, it’s all reheated, the curry’s are all the same. i’ve ordered bhuna, balti, sagwalla all exactly the same. low in flavour. barjee were cooked a week ago and reheated to order, greasy and soggy and tasteless. the driver was aggressive and rude. would not recommend.

Great service. Attentive but not intrusive. Beautifully presented dishes. Care taken by staff to ensure dietary needs and tastes met. Mango chicken was gorgeous Naan breads so light and flavoursome particularly enjoyed the vegetable tiffin starter . All round was a fabulous eating experience for us . Heartily recommended

We enjoyed a fantastic taster menu here last night. The food was totally delicious and the service was wonderful. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Don't be put off by the exterior of the premises as the food and service are outstanding.

Excellent food with good portions and very kind and attentive service. The naan and chicken balti in particular was absolutely excellent. I also highly recommend the chicken chaat puri starter as it was absolutely amazing. Will definitely be visiting again!

Wouldnt even give 1 star. Was a new customer. Food was cold, I asked for extra coriander and they didnt put it. The rogan Josh curry is discusting no flavour what's so ever. The coriander naan just had a sprinkle of wilted coriander on. Nothing special. And the tikka starter obviously not done in a clay oven. Best bit was the free salad portion. Was fresh. Never again will I order from here. I work in fast food myself and this is shocking to say the least

Was staying at the Ibis Styles Hotel on the Hagley Road with my 14-year-old daughter and found this gem of a family restaurant after a short stroll (10 minutes). Enjoyed an excellent meal - my daughter was raving about her Vegetable Biriani and my Chicken...

Visited here this evening after finding an offer on Groupon. Food was superb, great value, delicious, hot and plentiful. Service was excellent too, very attentive and friendly. We will definitely visit again. :-)

I booked a table before hand, turned up at the time agreed with the restaurant, there was a family of 4 in the restaurant with many, many empty tables, we were forced to wait for 30mins before being seated in a cold area of the restaurant. Were given poppadoms, had to ask for a menu 20mins after finishing the poppadoms. Our order was taken 15mins after receiving the menu. The starters didn't come out together, after a 45 minute wait. We then had to wait over an hour for the main course which was lukewarm and by this time we had grew tired and lost our appetite. Even the toilets was an absolute disgrace, wallpaper ripped, tablecloth looked like it had been there for weeks! Appealing place, appealing customer service. The only good thing was the papadoms. Avoid this place!

The restaurant was freezing ! I know we have an energy crisis but it was ridiculously cold in there. I left my coat on. Eating the meal did warm me up slightly! Also the restaurant would not take my groupon voucher. The waiter informed me they have trouble scanning the groupon bar codes hence they are not on the site anymore. However when you go on groupon, there is 2 adverts for Banu ! I pointed this out to the waiter who said groupon haven’t removed the listing yet. We were offered a “price match “ menu equivalent to the cost of the voucher. I had to then request a refund from groupon. I noticed another customer who came in after me & they also were told they do not accept groupon. This needs more clarity as I was very annoyed to be told to pay again after I’d already purchased voucher to use . Won’t be returning.

Lovely little restaurant food was lovely just the way we like. Everything was nice and warm we were given a hot plate for our currys to keep the food warm while we eat. Staff were very friendly and courteous. Will reccomend to friends and family.

They complained about the groupon offer yet haven't took the deal off groupon. Waited over an hour for 2 starters then another hour for 2 mains. No alcohol licence and no special atmosphere. Very bright lighting. Not a great place for a date! Young man working was lovely.and food was ok. We wouldn't return though. Definitely a budget restaurant

Came to brum from cov for the night, the misses wanted food so tried this place, 3.7 star on Google seems wrong, I promise you all, I love indian food and this flavour is next level, beautiful flavours, mouth watering curry, honestly one of the best indians we've ever tried we will be coming back here next time. Thanks banu amazing food, beautiful well worth the money.
