Panna's Restaurant in Havering

Still 0 out of 10. Caught the manager and the waiter in the bathroom AGAIN and my water had a yellow hue. I never knew water could have such a distinct taste. The staff treated me horribly because of my last review and my wife was slapped by the manager for asking for the menu. Would not recommend although gets a slight improvement over last time for teaching my wife a lesson about speaking to men. Hope people heed this advice and stay FAR AWAY (unless they want to punish their wife) from this place- Jordan Noonster34 and Izzy 20 (In 11 years)

So everyone who used to go here, this restaurant is closed permanently. They say it’s undergoing renovations but this isn’t true, I’ve spoken to to them about it and it’s shut. They’re taking order but they’re set menus (can change the options but set numbers) min order is 20 people and at £50 per head….go figure. Shame it’s closed as we used to go here all the time before the pandemic.

Visited Panna’s for the first time last night and wow! It was incredible! The layers of flavours in the methi chicken and black daal just kept coming. Lovely lamb kebab to start and also the kulfi for desert was amazing. Portions are huge and service was friendly and professional. I wish I lived closer but will be making the journey back very soon.

We went to pannas on valentine dinner. As we arrived we were greeted with proseco and was given a lovely table for me and my wife. This is a lovely restaurant, good bar. My wife loved the cocktails. We are vegetarian so it was refreshing to know they have separate vegetarian kitchen. Food was amazing, especially the Paneer dishes. The overall service was great. We will definitely return soon.

We visited PANNA’s on a Saturday evening. It was for my birthday! Mains were spectacular, whereas starter and dips were atrocious. Complete opposites! The dips had hair in it. Food took forever and the young kids were crying waiting for food. The waiters, what can I say? They’re not very able to listen. We told the waiters to get a vanilla ice cream but instead they brought us some dairy kulfi thing. The servants, well once again ruBBish. I would never recommended this piece of nonsense to anyone, not even my bully. The loud music ruined our experience. All we could feel and hear was a loud, thumping noise and sound! So, overall I hated that place. It was rubbbbbbbissssssssssh!

This restaurant serves excellent food, so for this reason I want to return but the service was pretty much non existent when me and my partner dined here back in January. We weren't in the mood for alcohol so decided to order soft drinks. My diet coke came but the tap waters we wanted didnt, so we had to ask again. As I said the food here is excellent, but no customer service. No one asked us if we needed anything or if everything was okay. I finished my drink but no one asked to replace it, infact we had to find someone just to pay the bill! There wasnt any napkins on our table so we had to take some off of the next table, and I also found the Eastern European staff in the restaurant to be quite abrupt and rude. Food amazing, just no customer service here which really let it down

My husband and I are very pleased that our requests and expectations were met and honoured. Our guests were truly happy and enjoyed themselves thoroughly with the food, ambience and service. We booked this restaurant 5 weeks ago for 16 people at 2pm for boxing day. Confirmed the booking 2 weeks beforehand and also added 1 further guest. However 10 minutes before our meal, we called them to say we were running late and they said they'd inform the restaurant at 5pm when it opened. We had booked it for 2pm!! I was FRANTIC! family travelling from all over and all Pana's did was apologise and blame their central booking team. Luckily we called Delhi O Delhi and they fitted us all in at short notice. The food there was absolutely delicious. I understand that mistakes can happen but when we called to double check, they even repeated it all back correctly! Very upset and disappointed Panas!

We visited last night with a group of twelve, all Indian friends from my wife's yoga class, we never knew this place even existed and it's only a few miles from us. It is situated in the City Pavillion off Whalebone Lane North, Romford, the setting is an open air street theme, you actually think you are outside, very clever indeed. This restaurant was very busy and it's very big, every table was full with Diners from the local Indian communities, my wife and I were the only white English folks there which made us feel extremely honoured to have been taken there by our friends. Forget your traditional UK style Indian style food, this was different, we had vegetarian starters from mixed plates and various dips, only three of us ate none vegetarian main courses, we had a chicken curry dish in a very spicy garlic and ginger sauce, there are no side dishes on the menu as you didn't need them. Pistachio ice cream complimented a very nice meal. We will return.

I have reviewed Pannas in the past but though it worth mentioning a most recent visit. Positives: New simpler and clearer looking menu was a good start. The food across three starters and the three main dishes we had this time was absolutely superb, 9.5/10 for every dish. The methi chicken and lamb rogan were especially good. Venue remains a pleasant atmosphere, easy parking. Negatives: Staff were rushed and literally all over the place at times. A high chair was brought that clearly hadn’t been cleaned since the last use. Apart from initial drinks, had to prompt staff to take any orders, this shouldn’t happen, clearly not enough staff on. Starters were put on the table, had to prompt the staff to bring some plates so we could actually eat them. We got given a dessert menu before our mains had even arrived. Then the bill came before the food too! All very odd, a long wait in the end but the quality of food made up for this as above.

Very good food both options wise and taste and the ambience always feels a little special. Prices are quite reasonable and I’ve always liked the separate bar area. Will come back again soon!

Bernard, one of the managers of City Pavillion suggested to book Panna's Restaurant for our wedding reception. All our guests were so happy about the buffet. Simona was one of our contacts too, and she was very nice to let us decorate one of the areas in the Restaurant. The waiters that day were all very friendly and with superb customer service.

Well well well. What can I say? I’ve lived in the local vicinity for years, been to this place when it was rollerbowl, been bowling here, never eaten in the restaurant though and I wish I’d come sooner, so I wouldn’t have to waste a Friday evening meal on this dump. The service was appalling, nobody seems to know what’s going on. The starter with poppadoms was served with not mango chutney, onions and that green stuff but orange coloured chilli sauce (fake mango chutney), lumpy bbq sauce (yes you read that right) and some kind of yoghurt. I go to Indian restaurants on the regs my g and never seen this before. The whole place was full of Asian diners all eating the same poppadoms with those sauces like it was normal, authentic Indian food. The menu was a shambles. Limited options, 3 lamb dishes yes 3 lamb dishes no lamb bhuna. Placed our order. Food came minus pilau rice. Informed them of the error. Waited 5 minutes then just said to leave it as we were half way through the meal and I wasn’t about to pay £5 to eat rice on its own, no apology. Garlic naan - came out flat and sliced like a pizza, it was like a garlic bread from prezzo. Naan should come out baked and fat - you tear/rip to your own desires. Nope. Sliced in quarters like a child’s 5th birthday party in the garden. Overpriced. Think it’s safe to say we won’t be returning.

Booked a table of 9 with the family for a Birthday meal and I have to say overall it was very disappointing. We ordered a multitude of starters and the veg dishes were the only thing that was decent and authentic. The mix grill was terrible, the lamb chops were not French trimmed, So the excess lamb fat just covered the chop, the kebabs tasted like they were frozen as they were very hard and the wings were I kid you not raw and rubbery. I did call the waiter over and he was certainly apologetic and went to get some more wings for us. At this stage I didn't really want anymore and asked if he could take this off our bill but he didn't, he went and got some more wings (not what I asked for) Very disappointing, and RAW uncooked meat in really unacceptable. The Prawns were ok and the fish starters again was pretty standard. Service of food coming out was good. Then we went on to the mains, and once again, the Keema dish we ordered was rubbish. It tasted more like bolognese with a few spices rather than a proper Keema curry. We ordered a Goan fish curry and a chicken curry and there was nothing special or authentic about them. So overall, even though the staff were pretty decent, I thought the food lacked any care and attention. The quality of ingredients I felt was certainly cheap. Value for money, not really, especially when we saw the owner driving away in his Bentley 4X4! Please I request you to taste your food, find out where your getting your ingredients, put some effort in making this an better dining experience because it was terrible. You have an amazing space and your not doing yourself justice!

Great service, great food, lovely environment every time. One of the staff members, Donna is just amazing, bubbly and such a good laugh.

Once again we were impressed with the friendly service and the lengths Simona and the team went to in ordet to make our visit to Pannas as great as our previous visits.

We, as a couple have visited this restaurant many many times in the last 20 years. We have seen management and menus change some for the better and some neutral. I will get to tonight's visit in a minute. About 3 months ago we went for what we thought would be a great meal and in fact a great evening. Oh dear. Poor service. Waiting staff struggled to understand our orders and was made to feel quite uncomfortable. We ate our food , paid our bill and left feeling quite disappointed, we put this down as a one off. We went back tonight and the restaurant was very quiet with about 4 or 5 staff on veiw. We ordered drinks which were wrong, we ordered pre starters which were wrong, we ordered starters which one came to the table and about 10 minutes later they asked if we had ordered another starter. Feeling extremely disappointed and starter number 1 gone cold we asked for the bill and spoke to management. We was offered an apology and a discount but we refused the discount saying we wa s disappointed with the service once again. I understand that management want to maximise the profit, but employing people that can not understand the language is unacceptable. I honestly felt that white English speaking people were not welcome. Its fair to say that we will not be returning. They lost out on a big bill and genourous tip.

Ordered a takeaway food absolutely disgusting. Called to complain manager says next time no charge. Lied

We held our son’s 18th dinner party here with 90 guests. The food was amazing. Ajay and all the staff did a great job.

I booked a private section of the restaurant for my dad's surprise birthday for a party of 28 and found the staff were very helpful. Even though it was a busy Saturday night the staff came to check if we needed anything throughout the night and catered to all our needs. The food was spectacular and the atmosphere was lovely! I would definitely recommend Panna's if you like Indian food. The only critism I would give is that they took a bit longer when asking for refills.

My first visit here. The decor was lovely! Made me feel like I was dining outside. The food was delicious. I liked the menu since a lot of things are vegetarian dishes you would not find in a normal Indian. The choices were from the Gujarat. The food was beautifully served and lovely. I would come again. The place was full of Indians so it’s a sign that food is authentic. The only thing that was not right was the service. The waitress seemed very shy and I could barely hear her as she took our order. I don’t know if she took the order wrong or the waiter who brought food to out table got it wrong. But it was the wrong food! The drinks came out after the starter was served. And it all took ages to come out! And lastly, the bill was calculated incorrectly. If I was in a hurry I would have been annoyed. But it was a family do and we were not in a big hurry.

Good experience food was nice however staff need better training as timing was slow and had to be reminded to do things.

Visited Panna's on Thursday and it was a great day! We went for a birthday party, there was around 14 of us. We visit Panna's regularly, food is amazing, serving was fast, we even had live music and food and drinks came quick. There was another lovely lady, sorry if I make a mistake, I think she is Irish. She was also very helpful, but I didn't catch her name. Simona has been seeing us from beginning until the end. She was very helpful, smiley, very attentive, visited our table many times. Love Panna's and Simona was a very lovely person! Guess you guys are lucky to have her in your team ;)

I must say I love the foods, yummy. The best part is the freshness of food which is very rare in other restaurant. Environment and staff both are lovely, especially staff are very spontaneous hats off to the duty manager Mr Ranjit Singh. I am impressed the way he look after his customers and staff both. All in all I will definitely come back here for every occasion will ask my family and friends as well

I booked via the restaurants booking system last Saturday for a table this evening (04/05/2019) when booking online it does say a confirmation email or a call will happen from the restaurant, 7 days later, today I had a call saying about the booking, I explained that I emailed them last evening to cancel as I had not heard from them at all, they have no idea about customer service, and I am sure they will loose so much business because of this !!

With the new management at Panna's restaurant service has greatly improved.We were there yesterday and were also impressed with the quality & portion size of the food served.Overall it was a good experience. The staff are very helpful.

We have eaten at Panna's a few times. Last night we were a party of 25, celebrating my dad's 82nd birthday. We had our own private room which made us feel very comfortable. The food & service were excellent. Great location & free parking, what more can you ask.

Lovely, tasty Indian food, with great service. It's quite spacious as well so no danger of feeling like you're sitting too close to other diners. One of the perks is that, due to its location, there is plenty of free pay, so no worries. We'll definitely be going back.

Booked this venue for my dads special day. It was definitely the best decision I made for the occasion.

Was taken as a guest with a family friend. Pannas at the City Pavilion has a renowned reputation. My host is a regular, and so we received a warm friendly welcome, and a complimentary dish. Food was excellent, from A-Z. Service was superb. They even made something off the menu. Its a fair distance from where I am, but would defo make a special trip...

Went there for Mother’s Day for a buffet the food was amazing and staff was very good topping up fresh hot food all the time. The service was excellent by all the staff

I came to the restaurant for Dinner on 24th March, around 7.30ish pm, the food was amazing, Sameer (the waiter) suggested me to order Chicken Punjabi when I asked for his suggestions.

Waste of time and money,food and wine took forever,food was well below standard,poor waiters running around trying to please a fully booked restaurant with orders on food and drinks coming at random time to random tables,food that was ordered never arrived together,sad really as previous visit had been a good experience.

A great Valentine’s Day Dinner . By far the best and inexpensive. The live entertainment was exceptional. Excellent food and very generous portions.

We were a group of approximately 20 people. The food was excellent and the portion sizes were very generous. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was authentic Indian and full of flavour. It is now a firm favourite for all of us who dined at Pannas.

We had a birthday party on saturday noon. Personally i love this place and the food and iam a frequent visitor for this place. But the guests who attended the party were so happy with the ambience of the place. Even though we did not book any party hall, but still felt separate from the other crowd as we were given a separate place for our guests and allowed to do all the decorations we wanted. The guests absolutely loved the food which was buffet. Many variety and tasteful. The staff were helpful and gave us all what ever we asked for. The manager Mr Ranjit is so down to earth and soft spoken. Very humble human. All in all loved the party and love this place.

Held a birthday party for my wife here. The staff including the manager were excellent. They did everything we asked for and the service was good. The only downside was feeling a bit rushed as the staff kept asking for the main course order. Overall very satisfied.

Rude staff rude manager slow service no coffee wrong food served although It stated shut at midnight started trying to shuffle us out from 11 people still eating wouldn't recommend

We held my little sister’s surprise 16th Birthday here . The staff did everything we requested from start to finish. We were very satisfied with the pre drinks , menu and the overall hospitality. Lovely setting and amazing food ! What more could you ask for :)

We got charged twice for our order as the man who took the order didn’t tell the bar lady that the ordered food had been paid for and unfortunately my partner who was collecting the order paid again!!! He ordered a drink while he waited and the bar lady couldn’t get his order correct!!! The table where he sat was dirty and it was not as if they were busy! Management is not doing a good job. However i was promised a phone call back about the refund and three hours later I had to call back and was advised that he has managed to text the financial person and he will sort out my refund! In the past although the takeaway menu says free delivery up to 3miles Panna’s charged me extra to deliver when I stay 2.6 miles away.

Once a year we have dinner as a family to celebrate the Hindu New Year Diwali, this year we decided to go to Panna's and I have never had a worst experience.

I booked Panna’s for Diwali dinner and have to say I was really dissatisfied with the service, the waiters too forever to provide a menu, when they did mine had food smears inside and pages were stuck together.

I visited recently on 4th November during lunch time with a group of friends for my daughter birthday celebrations. We opted for lunch buffet and it was amazing. Very helpful and cordial staff, mainly manager Ranjit Singh and Gaurav. I would highly recommend their Sunday lunch buffet.

Fantastic food excellent service from start to finish. Very professional staff (Ranjit). I would recommend this restaurant for any event.

This is a late review - better late than ever from our visit on 13 Sept 2018 :) We celebrated my mother’s birthday here on a Thursday which had their wonderful live music. The rating is for the high class and attentive service we received from the team - our waiter recognised us from previous trips as did the manager and no request was too much for them. The Irish Lady who also served us at the beginning was a joy. The food is truly delicious here and it’s always served piping hot - my only slightly gripe is the size of the portions could be a little larger for the amount of money you pay but you are there for the experience and ambience and it’s the second time this year we’ve received lovely service and wanted to recognise this in this review. Thanks again Pannas!

I will preface this review by demonstrating that I have no beef with anybody at this restaurant. I’ve eaten here with family and friends numerous times over the years and as further evidence, I have previously left a glowing 5* review for Panna’s on this very site. I have no axe to grind.

A fantastic restaurant run by the family with delicious food catered for children and adults. Waiters and waiteresses were very helpful and there was definately a service with a smile. Thourougly enjoyed the company, personal greeting from the owners, a buzzing atmosphere with happy and content customers. The food was amazing totally hit the right spot.

Went with the family today to the buffet that is served on a Sunday lunch time. The food was terrible. Lamb kebabs were dried out to nothing and had no seasoning. Both the lamb and chicken curries had so much oil it was disgusting. It’s a shame as the restaurant is close to where we live and we would regularly visit the restaurant to celebrate family occasions but won’t be doing that anymore.

The family and I dinned at Panna's for a birthday celebration. We decided to go with the buffet option which is available on the weekends between 12pm and 4pm.

My first time visit here on Saturday 13th and I was impressed with the decor and ambiance. The menu offers a good range of Meat and Veg dishes and the food itself was flavorsome and a reasonable portion.

We came for a family dinner and non veg dishes were very tasty and atmosphere was quite good.

Price = 5/5 - the quality and quantity was value for money.

We arranged my niece's 21st birthday party at Pannas, there were 25 of us including 8 children under the age of 10. The restaurant gave us a family room and it was fantastic. My elderly mother who is not very mobile also found it comfortable as their was a lift and the table was close to the entrance.

This was my first visit to Pannas and I can gladly say, it won’t be my last. Wonderful staff, brilliant food and a nostalgic atmosphere.

We have been to Pannas restaurant to celebrate my daughter birthday and food we got it was delicious but it wasn’t delivered altogether but that can be voided. We had a best cocktails in Pannas. Your staff was well trained and well mannered. Will love to recommend this place for eat.

Better than expected. The food was hot, fresh and it wasn’t crowded despite being Saturday lunch time.

Yummy tasty food, will definitely visit again. Service was excellent by Gaurav and his team. In fact my phone was drained and couldn’t take my family photo, but Gaurav did volunteered to take photo from his mobile and forwarded it to me. Thanks Gaurav again for capturing that moment

Good Indian Restaurant with good atmosphere that is owned by Indians. Tasty dishes from north, west and south India freshly made. Popular with families and groups. service can be slow wne extremely busy but worth it.

We had booked Panna's for my daughter's engagement cermony, as we order regular take aways from here. The food was amazing and just how we had asked for it. Great ambience, food and service. Thank you Gaurav and Ranjit.

Total waste of time and money. Very low quality food. They don't know what is restaurant style cooking. I won't recommend this restaurant to anyone believe or not.

At first glance the menu looked a bit limited with none of the usual side dishes so it took a while for us to choose what to have. We ordered starters with some vegetarian mains and it was all delicious and very flavoursome - no artificial colours. The starter portions were generous. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. We were all surprised at just how good this place was. Lots of Indian people in there too which has to be a good sign. I’d definitely go here again.

Bar man and manager were amazing people. Cocktails are delicious and food was good. Definitely come back again.

We celebrated our daughter's 2nd birthday party there. The food and service was great. All our guests enjoyed a lot and appreciated the food. Some of our friends liked it enough to book their kids birthday party there as well. I recommend this place for parties.

The slowest service I’ve ever experienced 1/2 an hour to get my drink a further 1/2 hour to get my starters and a further 1/2 an hour to get my my main. If Basil Fawlty was to run a restaurant this would be it! Shambolic..

I have been coming to Pannas for the last 10 years and for only one reason, Gaurav (manager/best employee). He recommends the best favoured food and serves with great customer service. Always smiling and always willing to accomendate your needs. The best dishes that we have eaten here is the 'papri ka patio (please bring this back) , garlic mogo , chilli panner , crispy bhajia and panner makani. Highly recommend the 'mocktails pannas. The old staff that use to be at the resturant were amazing but I guess life moves on.

We came to celebrate my wife bday at Pannas. The food we got was very delicious and but it was very hot as well, but doesn’t matter and service was prompt and the boy Shalash was serving us was very fast and very polite he made us day fabulous.

Originally came to city Pavilion for a game of bowling then thought after we would try the Panna restaurant located upstairs Obviously we hadn’t booked but the staff managed to squeeze us in. The barmaid/bar manger lovely Irish lady think her name is Donna. (Apologies if wrong) was friendly & made us feel very welcome & she is a credit to your team.

We were well disappointed on our visit to Panna on Saturday, where we had gone to celebrate our parents 60th Wedding anniversary, we requested mild and hot papadoms, but we got all hot, we ordered 6 starters and all arrived at different times and the last starter came after we all had finished eating and even that after we reminded them that we were waiting, had to wait for 2nd order on the drinks and reminded them that we were still waiting,even food brought to our table which we had not ordered we ordered the main meal that was disappointing again no salt in food, after we finished were requested for the bill, we got the bill but did not get any hand towels until we asked for it, which were just thrown on the table. no one cleaned the table and they did not even ask us if we wanted any deserts, we paid cash and we did not see any waiter after that, no after eights were offered, no one said thank you come again, we spent £200.00 and were well disappointed with everything, food & service dont think we will go there again, we normally go to a smaller Indian restaurant and are treated so well, after dinner complimentary drinks, even food brought to our table which we had not ordered

the food was extremely lovely, but the service of staff really did let down our visit, we had to ask for hand towels and all th food arrived at different times, so someone had already finished their food and someone else food was just arriving.

So happened to visit this place after a hectic day at my university and to be surprised the service was awesome. Started with having some cold beer at the bar , where Dona helped me with selections of best beer and looked after me continuously while i was there. Later on went in main seating area to have my food and ordered chilli garlic fish. The waiter who took the order was named Muj. He was so polite and suggested me the perfect dish. The food was soo awesome and tasty! Fish was just soft and perfectly cooked. Just loved the overall experience.

Meet in the bar for a libation or two before your meal: a modern area with the standard beers and wines, in an airy bright room. The drinks are very reasonably priced.

Always our first choice when wanting a curry.The best place for a curry .Always fab food great service and friendly staff .highly reccommend.the best lamb Rogan.

Celebrated a family event (54 Guests) and were really well looked after by the Manager Ranjit and his Team. Food was excellent and service absolutely superb. Have already used the venue before and it's really good to see that the service seems to be getting better all the time.

Tried this restaurant on a Friday night with my husband. The food was excellent. It was nice to have a choice of fusion food as well your typical Indian dishes. The non alcoholic drink selection was vast. The ambience was lovely, reminds you of an evening in Italy

Good service had a fab time . Didn’t had to wait long for the food . Thanks to the manager Ranj who was very helpful and made us feel very comfortable. Service has improved a lot since last visited.

Very beautiful and quiet atmosphere with good space and seatings. Children enjoyed the food along with the adults. Food was on time and service was exceptionally great.

Always lovely food but it always on the spicy side so if you're not used to be aware! I think that is part and parcel of the authentic food. Lovely inside and the service was great. Highly recommend the masala poppodums!!

My family visited Panna's and the food was very good and the service too. We were greeted by Gaurav and he ensured everything was perfect. On one of the days we visited Panna's my mother was fasting and therefore she was limited as to what she could eat, however Gaurav talked to the chef and delivered really tasty food for my mother during her fast, we have never experienced a restaurant to go over and beyond. Furthermore Gaurav did not even charge us for what my mother ate.

Our time at Panna’s is always amazing especially with staff like Gauvar. He always makes an effort and gives an amazing service. It’s one off our favourite restaurants and the food is always great.

We booked an area for a small birthday party. From the time we arrived and left the restaurant, we had great time. The staff was on their toes to ensure that all our needs were met. Food, drinks, service all fantastic. Huge thanks to staff Hardik, Gaurav and Ranveer for your hospitality. We certainly recommend this place for private family functions.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed beyond expectation the food that was provided on Mother's day - it was purely mouth-wateringly delicious! Congratulations to the Chef and all the staff, especially Mr Gaurav ! He made our experience there truly wonderful as my son suffers...

Live music was great and Gaurav's usual exceptional hosting made the evening. Food slow given how busy they were but cannot complain, great meal in great atmosphere with generally great service too. Thanks team Panna!

It took 1.30hrs to get my mains and waited 30 minutes after that for my desserts. This is the worst ever experience I had in London restaurants. No one cares for you. The waiter/waitress act as if they have they better job to do than serving the customer. There is no co-ordination between the staff.3-4 passing by staff will randomly come and ask you for your order and you are confused whether your order was placed or not in the first place. I felt really sad when my kids started crying for food after waiting for 1 hour on the table. After asking for a simple dessert, they totally forgot/ignored, waited for 30 minutes and left the place after losing my patience. Felt really bad and sad to see my kids crying for food. I will never go back and recommend families to avoid this place.

We used to love going to Pannas and have taken family and friends from abroad mThe service terriblany times as it was such a great dining experience with a vast menu and great service. However, last night was awful. The service terrible, we asked 3 times for a bottle of wine and it was eventually put on the end of the table, unopened, by a passing waitress. We asked for a wine bucket and it arrive 20 mins later full of water with a couple of ice cube sfloating. Our food arrived but we had no plates or cutlery and so had to wait while someone went to find some, meanwhile our food was getting cold. The menu is a fraction of the size it used to be and very little choice and the starters are the same priceat the main courses. You were always asked if you would like a Baileys when you paid the bill and received mint chocolates but not any more. Our bill was almost £170 for a pretty disasterous evening and we won't be going back.

This lunch was organised as part of a family club we, me and my wife, are part of.. this was the 1st time we were in the city pavilion and we were highly impressed.. especially Panna.. has a very high end, posh feel about it.. great ambience, great food.. the bbq chicken, fish amritsari, dal, chana (chickpeas curry), lamb and chicken curries - everything was good.. Recommended

Drinks flat, food mediocre mine was barely warm and lamb (What little there was) was tough and grizzly. Service poor although plenty of staff hanging about.

Hid two course elaborated meal, that included starters such as Paneer Tikka, Mix Platter, Paapdi chat, Roomali Roti, Dal makhani and Lamb. All dishes were as close as any Punjabi Restaurant in India. It was like eating in India itself,. Very few can offer that and Panna's is one of them. Service was excellent and very friendly right from start to finish. They have top class manager Rahul in the front.

We've eaten at Panna's restaurant several times now and the food is always amazing, the crispy corn is my all time favourite - definitely worth a try! The service is great and nothing is ever too much for the staff who are always around waiting to serve you. The food tasted great and the roomali roti is so fluffy it was delicious. Lovely decor and ambience, recommend to everyone I know well worth a visit.
