The best restaurants serving Indian food in England

The food was fantastic, tasted fresh, spicy and rich. Lots of dishes to choose from with a great range of flavours. Busy, which is always a good sign and the staff were fun, attentive but left you to your meal to enjoy. Best in Newbury at the moment!

Turned up for breakfast. Lady serving must have been on her own as she constantly repeats "I am on my own today". Very stressed, puffing and exhaling very loud when I wanted egg sandwich. I feel like she didnt want anyone there because she was on her own. Afyer 30 min of wait and 10%battery less I got 2 slices of bread with one egg in it. Never again!

Fast service but is due to being quiet most the time.

I’ve tried Aroma a few times - the food is delicious, fresh and always served piping hot. I tried the tandoori mixed grill, garlic naan, biryani and chicken jalfrezi which were fresh and full of flavour. Portion sizes are always very generous too. Customer service is brilliant and the staff are friendly and always take time to listen to my order carefully. One of the best curries I’ve had and the price is decent too - why go anywhere else? Aroma Wilmslow is now my go to place when I want Indian food. Seriously give it a try - you won’t be disappointed!!!

Don't judge a book by the cover! A friend of ours booked this place for a group meal. My wife and I love Indian cuisine and are probably a bit fussy. If I'm honest, we had reservations as we came in this place as it looks like a very basic pub. However, from the moment we came in, the service was absolutely fantastic. We were made to feel so welcome and the two girls who served us literally went above and beyond throughout the evening. The food was absolutely fantastic! We've been to Indian restaurants that charge 5 times the prices here and yet don't serve food as good as this! Everything was so fresh and flavoursome and the portions were generous. The owner was very present and helpful throughout the evening too. It's such a shame that we live 150 miles away from here otherwise it would become our regular!
