Ordered from Diwali this evening and I have to say this was amazing! Everything perfect! I highly recommend this place 100% I had the best meal I've had in years and the price was excellent. I will be recommending you to my friends and family. Wish I could share the pic I posted on Facebook, much love from all over the world on there. Thank you Diwali!

The food is so good!!! We have dined in the restaurant and had takeaways on several occasions. We have never had a bad meal, on the contrary, the food is always amazing! The staff are really lovely too. Can’t recommend enough!

My family regularly orders from this restaurant - although we have our favorite dishes, we've never had anything that wasn't delicious in the more than the probably 50+ times we've eaten from here. Really good portion sizes, we often have enough left over for lunch the next day. It often tastes even better reheated. Would definitely recommend. Particularly the Chettinad, my personal favorite

This restaurant is serving delicious food and reflecting emotional values. The other day, I ordered online my dinner on Diwali night and they sent me additional Jalebi's as DIWALI FESTIVAL gift. That small gesture makes me feel like I am at home.

We used to use Diwali as our local Indian for take away when we lived in Swindon. I can not express how incredible the food is. It is delicious, was always delivered early and was always hot. We left Swindon over a year ago and while I don't miss the city, I do genuinely miss this restaurant.

This is a great place with a car park at the rear which is down a narrow back alley. Friendly staff, good surroundings and the food was really good. We will be back soon.

Ordered a takeaway from Diwali a couple of weeks ago. Everything was hot, and tasted incredible. One of the few Curry Houses that deliver a tender lamb curry. Very generous portion sizes. Will definitely order from here again. 👌🏻

Visited this restaurant in Swindon recently. We ordered vegetarian dishes like Manchurian, naans and the food was tasty. Service could have been better which is why we gave 3 star.

I have visited Diwali twice, the food is nice, it has the Indian flavour we crave for. The service is slow. There is car parking available on the back side.

Ordered some Indian and Nepali food. I am so glad that I have finally found an authentic restaurant in Swindon. This is the best Indian restaurant in Swindon. They make food so well. They also give complimentary chutneys and papads. I will choose this restaurant in place of any of them in Swindon.

I have been to this place many times, be it offie team parties, birthday parties and limited dinner on private tables. Food is good when comapring to other options in Swindon, however I found the service was not that good and arrogant specially on the 3rd Sept when I last attended a birthday party for one of my close friend's son. Even the hosts were not happy about it. Serving Staff could be more courteous and humble, surely will comw back again.

Do confirm booking twice for party or Diwali Restaurant will spoil your day. Had booked for a birthday party online and received confirmation in email. when we reached the restaurant on the day no one from staff had planned, even they don't know about booking. The excitement had all gone in just a moment. Hope Restaurant will take this as seriously and double check online bookings as well.

One of the best places in Swindon to get a decent Indian meal. Budget friendly too. Excellent staff and excellent service. This is a family run business so they take pride in catering to Individual needs. A must try.

We went there on last Sunday and food was amazing. The service and staff all were great. Very difficult to get real Indian taste but they did it very well.

The food was good but could have been better. We ordered Panner Kadai, Mushroom mutter, Veg Manchurian , Veg Fried Rice, Papads, and Rotis. Panner Kadai & Manchurian: *** Veg Fried Rice turned out to be Veg Pulav without salt : No Stars Sorry. Rotis & Papads: *** Well, I thought of having pleasant dinner with family friends, but soon it turned out to be unpleasant just due to the fact that the working staff lacks service ettitquet & politeness, they were just rude while serving us, though I believe the staff was pretty experienced. I would recommend them to practice politeness while serving. I haven't experienced such strange behaviour anywhere. Personally I won't visit this restaurant again for sure. Hope it reaches the restaurant management team for positive actions.

Recent orders showcased a clear drop in food quality and service. The disappointment began with burnt, cold naans – a far cry from their usual standard. After a promise of improvement, the next order's "fresh" naans were supermarket reheated and lacking authenticity. Addressing the issue led to a shocking unprofessional response from the manager, who brushed off my concerns, citing complimentary food is like that and he can't do anything about the food quality. The call-back they promised to resolve the matter never came, adding to the frustration. Sadly, Diwali's charm has faded. The accumulation of let-downs leaves me hesitant to return. Formerly exceptional, Diwali now falls short in both flavour and professionalism, pushing me to explore better Indian food options.

Second visit to Dewali as a curry officienda of Swindon this place is far better than the rating suggests . I would argue its currently the best curry house in swindon. The chilli's chicken starter lovely , chettinad and garlic chill chicken mains spot on . The service was great I felt valued , they wanted us there and appreciated the business. Whilst everything is expensive these days this relatively speaking was reasonably priced, whilst quality was maintained. I can't judge the takeaway as I've never had one and for me there is usually a difference in sit-down and takeaway. Good work Dewali

Now this is what I call a top class Nepalese/Indian restaurant. Super unique tasting dishes, lovely starters, tasty mains, excellent service and first class washroom facilities. Was introduced to it be friends and have since returned.

For a local restaurant a little out of the way I would highly recommend this place Food tasted so fresh even if it was slightly different from what I’ve had before at other restaurants absolutely amazing Took a doggy bag away as clearly had eyes bigger than our bellies (questionable) Was a little disappointed that I found on the bill I had been charged per container for remainder of food to enjoy the next day not something I have ever experienced before but all in all don’t miss out on this wonderful little gem Will definitely visit again

Absolutely fantastic restaurant. We were there Saturday evening and were allowed time to enjoy the food and wine without rushing. The food itself was, and always has been on our many visits, outstanding. I would recommend this restaurant to all of Swindon and beyond.

I always seem to rate good experiences as five stars (why wouldn’t you?) but Diwali (Swindon) is deserving of all five for many reasons. The staff are all well presented, polite, helpful and unobtrusive. Our meals were delivered in a casual manner, which is so nice, as I always feel like I’m being rushed, and that our table is simply awaiting the next customer, but not here. The food is outstanding, and the menu is full of many favourites, but descriptive enough to give a good idea of what’s in store for a dish you may be unfamiliar with! Food is delivered piping hot, and cooked to perfection. But most importantly (for me anyway) is the price of the various dishes. We visited Swindon with friends, and are used to spending almost half as much again for similar dishes, so this wonderful little restaurant is very pocket friendly. Given the chance, we’ll visit again, and I would highly recommend Diwali (Swindon) and I doubt you’d be disappointed!! Thank you to everyone involved with making our evening out so pleasant!!

The quality of this establishment would not be out of place in any major High Street. Definitely one of the very best Indian/Asian restaurants I've visited. Look forward to returning on our next visit. Did I mention the prices? 4 adults with poppadoms, mains, rice, bread, 1 Kingfisher and a bottle of wine for £85. Absolute bargain. This is one of the best Indian cuisines ever! Staff were extremely friendly and food was scrumptious. It was overall very clean with toilets, napkins and more. Very fancy and great for parties with friends or family.Came with an appetiser,main meal and dessert. We prefer spicy food and they were happy to accommodate these preferences by adding more spice.Very big place with free parking on the back. All food was halal I highly recommend the chicken karahi/ jalafrezi or the chicken Biryani. We wanted to try mango magic but it had run out. Very reasonable prices as we had ordered quite a lot. They were very considerate and took in account that we were fasting . In general, this place was fantastic!

It's a great place to enjoy authentic Indian and Nepalese cuisine. Great tasting food.

The service was very attentive & helpful. Everything was carefully explained, when asked about, including dietary requirements. The portions were generous & excellently cooked. You could taste how flavour and spice had been built up through careful cooking. The beer choice was also excellent.

Best place in town to eat Indian food. I went there with low expectations, considering the food I ate at various "popular" Indian restaurants here in the UK. But the food there totally blew me off. I ordered Kadhai Paneer accompanied by Bhindi Masala and Dal Makhani as sides. It was not too spicy and not too bland. Just perfect. The Lachha Parantha that I ordered was softer than a mattress. Overall, it was a symphony in my mouth. I would recommend everyone who wants to taste Indian food to go there.

Really lovey food, great staff - simply highly recommended. The Chef and kitchen staff a truly skilled in their trade and will adapt a dish to the spice levels preferable to the customer rather than sticking firmly to what is in the Menu. Free parking at the rear accessed by a narrow side street.

One of the best Nepali/Indian restaurant in Swindon. It's hard to find a restaurant serving such authentic flavours. It was my first time having a Chicken Chettinad and it is my new favourite. Have been back already and will be going back again.

I have used this place for years for eat in and takeaway but today they shocked me by delivering a cold takeaway saying they had too many deliveries I don’t feel that to be a excuse to deliver a meal you have to microwave if I wanted that I would of gone to a supermarket not wasted my money with them, I won’t be ordering from here again and I will make sure all my friends and family are aware are we used this place for years.

As Punjabi’s we are very reluctant to order from Indian restaurants as they never meet our expectations. This place however blew us away. It was a recommendation from my son who tried it in the summer. One of the best meals I’ve had in such a long time that I didn’t cook myself. My husband who is a really fussy eater also really enjoyed it. Flavour texture, delivery, all over experience 11/10. The last time I had a meal this good was also from a Nepalese restaurant in London, over 30 years ago. Definitely coming back here for more. Keep doing what you’re doing!!

All around excellent but I have marked them down for their lack of disabled access & toilets. In this day & age they should be provided esp as they have plenty of room to provide one

The place is in the town center and really has a calm ambience . A slow and mind soothing music. Majestic feeling to relax and enjoy a meal. I loved the place and Food is really great , loved veg options. I frequently visit this restaurant to have some self treats & to have some personal time . I really enjoyed their food.The staff is very good, Lot of good indian food options , Paneer butter masala and Aloo Ghobhi is yummi. For those who have sweet tooth just try the Matkaa Kulfi. A mango lassi is also a good start option.

Really good takeaway, portion size were fantastic, really good food cooked with perfect level of spices not just too spicy too like most restaurants. Felt like home food so thank you for living up to my expectations. Definitely going to tell my mates about this Gem of a place for home cooked type indian food.

Had dinner in Diwali restaurant

Food here was simply the most authentic Indian food you would ever get in Swindon. Papadom had the best dips with it. Naan was authentic Indian; thin and sliced into triangular pieces instead of the thick circular bread served across other Indian restaurants. Paneer jalfrezi had just the right amount of heat and spice from an Indian palate perspective. Even the okra masala turned out to be great which hardly any restaurant gets right. Potato Naan turned out to be quite good, similar to aloo paratha.

The best authentic lndian food in Swindon by a country mile.

Wonderful hospitality was received by all staff, particularly Glaura the Waitress, who is adorable. We had a very warm welcome and felt well looked after by caring staff within a family business. The chef catered for my daughter and myself who are vegan. He kindly took the time to accommodate to our needs in every way and this was very much appreciated, making Diwali a favourite place for us to eat. This was our second visit, (our first was a take away service) and both times the food was amazing. Thank you to all the staff for a lovely experience. We will be back!

The staff there was so welcoming, very attentive, asked is how the food is.. very very caring but the most was they are very respectful... food was excellent.. had a great experience.. Will surely be going there again...

I always choose Diwali for a delicious Butter Chicken. Great place and people if you wish to dine in, as well. Highly recommend!

Jagshemash! Is verr nice. Potato naan is excellent. Leave some of the main to stew overnight in the fridge and eat cold. The flavor/flavour is exquisite.

I usually don't add any negative comments but I was really disappointed with the delivery. I placed my order at 6.48 pm and I received it around 9pm.

Came here to celebrate a birthday. Regular take out customer's and thought we would try the restaurant. Awful experience... - waiter getting dressed in lobby upon arrival - room allocated was freezing (had to ask 3 times for heating - the fact we had a baby did not matter) - children's food was inedible. Fish fingers burnt to crisp. Shocked they brought it out - asked for replacement - same again. My 1 year old didn't eat. No apology or regard for the inedible food!! - never asked if our food was ok...AT ALL - several times we each had to leave out seats to get some service - waited almost half an hour to have the birthday cake brought out. Eventually, it was brought out how it came- embarrassingly, we had to take off the packaging and make it look presentable to the recipient. - had to help ourselves to plates and spoons for the cake. - our guest had to go to the shop next door to buy a candle as it was an utter shambles and the staff did not care. - arrived at 5pm and left at 7.45. Such slow non existent service. The website claims kid friendly but even the most angelic of children will get restless being somewhere almost 3hrs. Couldn't wait to leave. No apology. The staff seemed more consumed with serving guests in the main restaurant area and dealing with their take out element. I regret paying the asking price as it ruined the whole birthday. Such a shame.

This restaurant was recommended to us, so we thought we would try it. Although a Tuesday so quieter it did not dissapoint. Highly recommended for a midweek dinner if you want to avoid a busy weekend vist. Could not fault anything, service was fantastic, we felt like we were treated like extended family. Value for money and selection of food and drinks was vast, I noted special deal on a Wednesday 12.95 for a full meal and sides - excellent value. But the highlight was the food. Stunning. My wife had Chicken Chatinad lovely well cooked excellently cooked creamy curry. I had a tandoori mixed grill served on a sizzling skillet and the meat was not over cooked, succulent and delicious. Dhal Makahni was a briĺiant variation on Tarka Dhal and the Naan was freshly made (you could tell by the taste) and fluffy light. Big portions took loads home for a greatful eldest. Will definately be back. These guys are a credit to their industry and highly recommend you give them a try.

My husband & I returned, this evening, to introduce a dear friend to the joys of dining at Diwali. The food was as delicious as ever and the team cheerfully attentive. We love this restaurant.

Really great, tasty food. Restaurant is clean and spacious and felt covid-safe. Staff are really friendly and knowledgeable on all the dishes. Would 100% recommend you eat here. Also they have free parking which is a bonus!

Only proper authentic Indian food in Swindon ..rest claim it to be indian restaurants but they aren't. Indian food is much more intensive than being spicy, greasy and blend of curries.prompt delivery and fair rates.

Went here last night for takeout for the first time. Staff were really helpful and friendly, the food was DELICIOUS and the overall experience was just great. Very reasonably priced also. There were lots of veggie options on the menu but none marked as vegan, however, the staff were extremely helpful and facilitating to this and made us two delicious vegan curries. Will definitely visit again. Thank you :)

I just ordered and collect a chicken byriani and a butter chicken both dishes were so heavily spiced they were too hot to eat. I order these meals as they are mild to medium in heat what I got was painfully too hot to eat.

This is the place I go to for a proper Indian meal. One of the best in town if you want to avoid the “fake” Indian restaurant and want to taste something authentic and good.

Visited as a couple during Covid. The precautions were excellent. The food was fabulous and the service excellent. Would highly recommend.

Seems they have gone down-hill. Food delivered cold andd most recently ordered, but never delivered. Must be busy due to lockdowns? Sadly, we must start trying alterative vendors. Very disappointed but the world is changing and it is the way it is.

I ordered from here and the food was very poor, also the help from the workers was very poor they were very rude and no help I have pictures of my chicken which it’s not cooked at all and they said it’s cooked and would eat, I’m not sure how to post my picture on here I wish I could rate it a zero
