We ordered for delivery, delivery was quick and the food was hot , loved the chicken Hyderabadi and the tandoor dishes was one of the best , naan bread was so soft and went really well with the chicken Hyderabadi 😋 Would definitely recommend 👍

Despite only ordering three items and being told by the owner it was a quiet night for orders we waited for over 30 minutes after the informed time the food would be ready for collection. The food was lukewarm at best and the nann bread definitely plain rather than the garlic one we had ordered. The food quantity has also been reduced whilst the prices have increased, example the onion bhaji side used to be x4 bhajis but is now x3. This take-away has gone down hill which appears to co-inside with the sons getting involved. Avoid this place.

Always had good service, on Sunday 18th June @ 5.30pm I placed an order for delivery, was told he would ring bk in 10 mins to take card payment ,didn't ring after 20 mins I rang bk and was told,I told you I was busy,so I cancelled the order,will not use them ever again,lost my custom now and my families.

Our food tonight was absolutely delicious. We ordered two portions of Chicken Tikka which came with a sauce and a salad, one side of Vegetable Curry and one of Mushroom Bhajee and a Tandoori Nan. All excellent. The food at Saffron is good every time. We had the meal delivered and it arrived hot. Friendly customer service, couldn’t ask for more. Good portions too.

The curry we collected was not a curry, it tasted more like a brown stew, I think they forgot to put in any curry powder. the king prawns didn't look like prawns they were all twisted tough and rubbery, thats if they were prawns at all, The rice we had looked nice but no taste at all.My partner likes a good curry as I do, but she got up and put it in the dustbin, and I followed, and did the same.Im sorry to say that its was the worst curry I have ever eaten. We normally get our takeaway from the jewel in the crown, but like to try other restaurants, as they all have different tastes, but the Saffron is a no no for us.

I am a great curry fan and have been all over the world tasting many different recipes. The Saffron is high on my list. The taste of their Madras is fantastic.

Do not buy from here. The customer service is shocking! Over £60, and they missed 2 items. When we called, they ‘told’ us, yes that’s right, there words, to come to the restaurant to change. The person was very rude on the phone, telling us we gave it to them wrong on the phone (we had the piece of paper in front of us- we didn’t get it wrong). Asked to speak to manager. When we did, he was just as bad, and then claimed we were rude and swearing on the phone, which is a complete lie. They then said they would come to the house, and give us the rice we ordered, in replacement for the naan bread they provided. Never, in the 10min discussions on the phone, or driver at the door did anyone apologise. Instead, the manager accused me of swearing on the phone to his staff, and that we ordered incorrectly. Que their response now, which will most likely say the same things- these guys are complete amateurs, have no ounce of customer service on offer, and point blankly lie. Be prepared, if you’re paying for a large takeaway here, you will regret it. Move to the next nearest restaurant, you will otherwise regret it. Also, 2 of the people eating had terrible stomach pains the next day! The chicken was dry, and texture poor. Avoid. You’ve been warned.

Also amazing. Perhaps if they get 100s of customers, they are not fussed with terrible service to the odd one here and there. As expected, lies too. That’s why we requested the manager called us back, and he was equally as dismissive, and not once apologised himself. A customer service course would be wise…. In any case, be wary if you ever decide to place orders via these guys- awful awful awful.

Excellent food (veg biryani and chicken bhoona) and good value for money too. Obviosly freshly prepared and ready to collect right on time. Recommended.

As this take away is around 10 minutes from us, we thought we’d give it a go; also we haven’t used this place for years as it want great. However, this was lovely, quick delivery, poppadoms were perfect, Peshwari Nan was lovely and Chicken Tikka Massala was so nice. Definitely will be using this place again!

Order a mix or starters and sides ready for the England match at the weekend, food was delivered on time, hot and the taste was fantastic as always, HIGHLY RECOMMDENDED

Delicious curry as ever. Chicken garlic chilli masala and Jalfrezi both have a great spicy kick. 👌Prompt home delivery too.

Lovely fresh curry only thing I would say needs more spice in the vindaloo but still full of flavour been here many times!

Best curry in Wiltshire far beyond expectations

We ordered on Sunday evening and was told it could be up to 50 minutes for delivery but came out with in 20 minutes very hot when arrived food was great . Good value for money, Driver was very polite , a great takeaway all round !

After reading reviews on their website, I ordered a chicken tikka masala and chicken korma with Keema nan. What a waste of money!! The korma looked nice but was tasteless, the masala was deep purple, virtually black, that was not nice at all. It tasted nothing like a tikka masala should tastes or look like, they should be a bright red colour with mouth exploding taste. The nan bread was tasteless as well. From my experience with Stratton Saffron, I would not recommend ordering from here, look elsewhere to buy your food. You have been warned!!!!!!

Eat from here quite often and it is usually OK, although I too wish they would use fresh chicken, however the last three times have been pretty poor. Last night was terrible! My chicken biryani was very dry and actually had cucumber, tomato, onion and lemon in it (all raw), plus the vegetable curry had little taste. I've never had a biryani as bad. My son's lamb tikka was really tough and was thrown away. I think maybe they have new owners, but sorry - three strikes and out!

Good food stuff. Try their curries, some of them are authentic stuff. Reasonably priced and apt portion sizes.

Would definitely recommend Stratton saffron as curry is one of the best I’ve had, the service is brilliant and staff are friendly and polite.

Ordered lamb biryani and subhanallah, it was so delicious. We live outside Swindon, been in UK for almost 2 years and must admit this biryani is one of the best we ve ever had. My 4 and 8 yrs old sons couldn't get enough of it. Curry (medium hot) was delicious. Portion was great. Price was reasonable. Friendly staff. Definitely a must-eat-list everytime coming to Swindon 👍🏼

I can tell if You pre-cook your chicken and keep it warm and then just add it accordingly to taste. I would’ve preferred it if you would have made me wait an extra 40minutes and cooked it Fresh. Good food doesn’t necessarily have to come that Fast, because - Fast food Isn’t that good!

Fantastic curry best in Swindon had Garlic Chilli Chicken and Roogan Josh . Delivery a little slow but they are very busy.

Had a curry delivered from this place again tonight and as always everything was fantastic. Curry was piping hot, full of flavour and absolutely delicious. Have used this place for years now and it would be hard to go somewhere else. Best place from the food through to the delivery drivers - all outstanding.

One of the nicest Indian meals I’ve ever had. Stayed in a local hotel where no food was being served so order a takeaway. Great menu easy to order good value and food delivered piping hot with 40 mins free of charge

The worst Indian food I’ve ever had massively overpriced for what we had They told us to collect in approximately 45 / 50 minutes we got there and had to wait outside for half an hour only to find out when we got home that they had missed out half the order and tried to say that we didn’t order it so it worked out 2x curries 3x rice 5x bread 3x salad 1 fresh 2 slightly brown =£52 Worst Indian in Swindon One of the staff even swore at my father who is in an OAP disrespectful and very unprofessional 17/4/21

Normally pretty good, but our last order was a let down . Food was wonderful but the delivery let them down as order turned up but by the time we were dishing out our meal we discovered that the naan we had ordered with our meal was not there so had to put our food under the oven and called them very apologetic and our naan would be with us soon. Naan turned up around 20 minutes later cold so had to reheat in microwave “not the same “ ...

Very good food always order from here very tasty food made with the highest quality. The new delivery driver accidentally took my order to the wrong address and they took my food but as soon as they released they did my order and gave me my money back thank you saffron.

Ordered takeaway for daughters birthday. Food was fantastic and portions were very generous, enough left for day 2! Great friendly customer service and food arrived at estimated time. If you can’t find something on the menu, ask. Would highly recommend. Thanks for the Saag Paneer, it went down a treat. Looking forward to our next takeaway.

Treated like dirt for absolutely no reason, called a c@#t and all kinds! Abhorrent behaviour avoid like the plague!!!

Absolutely disgusted at the way both myself and my partner have just been spoken too by these people! My partner who is recovering from a stroke and has difficulty with her speach was basically ignored and talked over! Then when our food didn't turn up I rang to enquire as to where our food was I was told it's her fault they got the wrong address! Then when I disputed this was basically talked over and abused verbally over the phone! Avoid these abusive people like the plague!!! Never again!!

Exellent food probably the best currys ive had.ive recomended saffron to several friends and family all were pleased with what they ordered.

This place does the best food if you like curry! Only suggestion would be to put more garlic in garlic naan bread as you can't taste it.

Pleasantly surprised with what I've eaten so far. Nicely spiced, good sized portions & not swimming in oil or ghee. The sides & rice could possibly be warmer as both home delivery & on site orders were tepid. (The mains were ok temperature wise.) I'd suggest to help customers (& themselves) they reduce the number of options on their menu & include the ingredients of all dishes.

We thought we would try this takeaway for a change. I’m so glad we did. When we ordered we were asked how hot we wanted one particular dish. We ask for phall. It was spot on. Plenty of heat and flavour. Other meals ordered were chicken dhansak and tandoori chicken tikka masala. All the food was of a very high standard in quality of meat and cooking. In fact it was so good we’ve been back since.

Chicken tikka was good stuff, highly recommend. Young lad at the front was very helpful.

We have been having curries from here for the past year after moving back to the UK. I can honestly say that the food is wonderful. Everything we have tried has been excellent. I especially like the butter chicken, the sauce is very thick and not hot but very flavoursome with just the right amount of heat. We always have the food delivered and it comes within the quoted time frame and is piping hot. I can highly recommend this takeaway.

Nice people and helpful I feel bad for giving 3 stars but my Dansak was way too sweet for Dansak and my partner said his curry wasn’t the best....saying that the naan breads were lovely big and very nice

Poor rubbish rude, been eating from them for years do not use !!!! Waited again for 2 hours and collected for a wait of over 50 mins so a 2 hours 50 mins wait at 7.30 for food ,sat there , rude , do not use , rude no sorry and the food not good , dont waist your money

Really, really good food and reasonably priced. Can be very difficult to get in touch with them at peak hours and there will be a fairly substantial wait. But definitely worth it. Also, highly recommend keema rice, chicken tikka madras, a chipatti and a couple of spicy poppadoms.

Been ordering from here for over a year now even after we've moved house. Best curry in Swindon hands down.The only thing I'd comment on is that they're not on Just Eat so no online ordering service, however, I don't think they need to be as the food is so good they don't need other advertising avenues (I'm a repeat customer so others may be too!).

Love the food here it's the best u managed to get my hubby eating Indian food after years has he had food poisoning from a different place. He loves ur food

Great tasting currys with friendly staff.

We go here quite a lot and really enjoy the food! What makes me go here compared to other Indian takeaways is that this one has a ‘very good’ health and hygiene rating on trip advisor which is excellent.Occasionally it can be a long wait... but food tastes fresh so can’t complain and they are clearly busy which is a good sign.Just wish they had a few more descriptions of the different curries on the menu or website as I would like to try more variety but end up sticking with a select few options as I know I’ll really like them.

Very friendly people on the desk.....and the food was delicious...and piping hot...this place will now get my regular custom...got to be the best curry..👍👍

My Grandparents recommended this Indian and it was amazing!!! The delivery was early (well before the time stayed upon the order).I ordered the Chilli Chicken Masala and it was delicious, it’s full of flavour and full of tender pieces of chicken. I can’t rmemeber the last time I finished a curry and I finished this one so quickly because it was so nice!!! I also had a peshwari naan and it was so big and hotI’d highly recommend!!!Great value for money for how nice it is I didn’t get a picture unfortunately as I ate it too quickly haha
