The Zaika Valley in Swindon

We received the wrong food and the driver had to return to swap them. But the jalfreizi was very poor. The worst I’ve had from this restaurant

King Prawn fab again, however, poppadoms stale, Lamb very tough, chewy. Rice v nice along with onion bhajis. Just had a familiar microwave feel to it .

I actually made a mistake on my order for the delivery address and fair play to the delivery driver I gave him the correct address, which was only round the corner and he arrived in 2 mins. Fair play!!

Simply the best Indian food I have tasted. Excellent service throughout.

Amazing food for all the family and lovely service. The soft drink pricing needs to be reviewed. £5.25 for child’s j20 is extremely excessive when you can buy it in a shop for £1.20 it’s just too expensive. Had to limit the kids to 1 drink each. They were disappointed.

Never had a bad experience. Eaten in the restaurant and had takeaway many times and food is always really good and hot on arrival. Would recommend.

A few friends went here on a Thursday night, had a great experience with great service. Price wise was very reasonable for the high quality of food. We plan to go back soon 100% 5star

We were actually planning to go to the popular Indian restaurant next door, however zaika valley wasn't quite so busy so we thought we'd give it a try. I'm glad we did. The food was really good. The menu had some excellent options we'd not come across before. Portion sizes are good and prices are aligned with other restaurants.

Fantastic curry great flavour well worth a visit

Food has taste good, everything else has been absolutely terrible. I ordered a while ago, mid week. After 2 hours and 15 phone calls later it finally turned up. I check the food and it was missing 6 dishes. When I called I turned in to a debate where essentially I was told I was lying. A month or so later tonight 24.02.2024. I thought I’d give them the benefit of the doubt. Ordered at 18:30 it has only just arrived at 20:30. Cold. 2 prawns for £10 and cold. I called them 3 times to find out where it is and before they even know where I’m calling from they said, “ it’s on its way” not having a clue where I’m calling from. I’m fairly reasonable but this just takes the piss, expensive for such little disregard and care or service. Not worth the money or time, I have eaten in and it taste good but I won’t be going back.

Stunning food! This food really is a step above what the majority of your bog standard Indian restaurants offer. Personal favourites are the mixed starter that includes scallop, prawn, chicken and lamb and the delicious garlic chili chicken that is served differently with sauce to the side and is unlike anywhere else I’ve eaten it. We tried four dishes though and all were top notch! The service is great and the person dealing with our table really friendly. Will definitely return here when next in Swindon!!

I recently visited and ordered the dum biryani expecting a burst of flavours, however it was massively underwhelming, tasted like boiled rice. The prawn curry wasn't much better. Overpriced for what it is.

Great tasting food, swift delivery on a Tuesday! Only downfall was slightly undercooked samosas for our taste and the mango chutney could have been fruitier, only mild complaints as chicken passanda and butter chicken were very tasty and cooked well! Will order again 🙂🙂

We were a group of four having just had a great day at Cheltenham races, we use Swindon as a base. We were recommended this restaurant and glad we listened, great service food was delightful if your in Swindon and you are looking for great Indian food then the Zaika Valley is the place for you.

Used to be the best Indian food I could get in Swindon and Malborough for years and I'd always recommend it to friends, but now I just regret ordering from here . . Don't understand how a place with soo much quality could just lose it all . .

Probably the best Indian in Swindon now, great tandoori food, especially lamb, delivery is quick now too. Overall highly recommended.

Had an amazing flavoursome and quality takeaway. Will certainly be back soon to dine in. Coverted an Italian who previously hated curry's and now after a Butter Chicken, Sag Aloo was really surprised how great it can be. My lamb biriyani was FAB 👌

First time customer, the menu is very comprehensive, well explained and the food we ordered was fantastic. You have converted an Italian wife who professed she didn't like curry's however a gentle start with Butter Chicken and Sag Aloo she had to admit she would order again. Despite the restaurant being packed, our food was ready for collection at the requested time and EVERY dish was fantastic. Haven't used Zaika for a while but it reminded us just how good the place is. Excellent.

The service was good, no doubt, but the food wasn't that authentic , we did enjoy our meals, of course, but we will not visit again as the meals prepared are not according to an Indian tastebud.

Food was late and arrived cold. The onjon baji were like little rocks. The curry was nice flavour which was helpful.

This is the first time I’ve ordered from this restaurant and i am really disappointed as friends have recommended. Food was really cold, onion bhaji was like a rock, dry and inedible and the chicken was dry and hard. Worst Indian takeaway I’ve had to date. I will not order from here again.

We had a range of vegetarian dishes, all were delicious. My particular favourites were the butter paneer masala and the dal taka fry. The paneer was creamy and well spiced. The dal was buttery with a real punch. Rice and naan also excellent. We will be back.

Disappointing. Used to be our favourite take away. We don’t have take aways much anymore and decided to treat ourselves, but it wasn’t like it used to be, lacked flavour, won’t order again. Shame.

4th visit and never disappoints. Menu is interesting and very varied. Standard of food and presentation is excellent, a real joy to eat! Staff are extremely friendly and attentive, very professional! Would recommend to anyone in a heartbeat. Thank you

Grandsons first trip for a Ruby! Our 13yr old first visit for a curry was at Zeika, our absolute favourite Indian, as always lived up to all expectations. He absolutely loved it, and even had room for a desert, which may cause his parents problems when eating out in future.. 😂

We were so disappointed with our order. It was over an hour later than the ‘latest estimated delivery time’, so in total took 2 and 1/2 hours. When it arrived the food was warm, but the breads were cold and soggy. One of the curries (lamb tikka masala) smelled and tasted awful, like it was off (almost fishy 🤢) we have requested a refund through just eat for this curry! The rest of the food tasted nice, and the starters were good. But all in all a terrible takeaway. We also spent over £50 and no popadoms or anything. I don’t recommend sorry!

Visited with are large group, so timings are always going to be an issue, but this did not not detract from the evening. The food and service were both very good and the restaurant was very well presented.

I ordered the food before 7. Was given an estimated delivery of 8:25(which I thought was ridiculous) It’s now 9 and still no food. Not at all good. I probably could have whipped up a curry myself in that time. Probably will in future. Not happy at all. I would cancel but I’m sure the restaurant will make that difficult.

Normally love it here, but I have to say that in the last few months the quality has gone down hill. I wonder if there is a new chef. Regardless, everything seems to taste the same and with the same level of spice (and not a pleasant one) regardless of what you order. Also, I've found that the quality of the take away is not the same as dining in. Our last one was really greasy and we left most of it. Come on guys, we want to come back!

Took over 1.5 hours to get food…pretty shocking!

A lovely indian restaurant with great food. The Butter Chicken is some of the best I have eaten. My starter was Lamb Tikka and had the real Tandoori flavours. Both dishes was nicely presented by an attentive staff.

Came upon by chance lovely fresh food with some different dishes on the menu food really well cooked and very tasty , service for drinks was a little slow but the staff are very pleasant and cheerful the restaurant was very clean and well laid out toilet’s also clean, I didn’t give 5 stars as after we left I realised we were over charged for the drinks but would go again and check the bill more closely next time.

From making the order online and having it excepted it took just over 2 and half hours to arrive. After 1 hour and 45 minutes we called them and they had said that their driver had broken down which wasn't correct as you normally get a text when the food leaves the restaurant. 45 minutes later I got that txt to say the food had left the restaurant. When the food arrived it was still warm. But they had gave me two plan nan breads when I ordered two parathas. The mint yoghurt was really sour, almost like the yoghurt had gone off and both meals that were ordered were not nice at all. For spending nearly £50 on jist two meals I would have expected the food to be spot on. The Balti was soo strong it was like it was made with paste. Was so salti my wife couldn't realt eat it. And my biriani had such a strong tangy taste of some sort of spice it wasn't enjoyable at all. Won't order here again.

Wasn’t up to usual standard when you sit in. Rang up about delay and was told sorry we have customers in the restaurant. Curry was fragrant like cleaning products - lemon but it was a tikka masala!?

As is normal, the food is salty and quite oily. But the flavours and textures are good. Multiple layers of spice.

too arrogant staff, they given chole daal instead of daal makhani and did even say sorry. They were so rude that you cant even talk to them properly.

I've been working my way through the Zaika Specials and honestly, they're amazing. So fresh, the spice is on point, and I always feel like I'm trying something I've never had before. My partner is vegeterian and the old favourites like bombay aloo, dal makhani...

Expected the chicken tikka to be in a sauce, but it was purely marinated chicken and nothing else. However, was very nice.
