The food is amazing and the service is alway polite would happily go here again. They always smiling and make u feel welcome and would heavily recommend it.

Amazing, Mizan looked after us and made us feel really welcome. Highly recommend this palace if you’re from or travelling to the area.

Bengal square is an underrated secret in the world of Indian curry in Swindon. I don't order habitually and like to try a variety of restaurants looking for the perfect curry. This is the 4th time I've ordered from Bengal Sq. in about 18 months. The reason I come back is it's a safe bet. Never had a bad curry, always as expected, Plus very generous portion sizes. Actually that's not fair. It's more than a safe bet, they make a fantastic curry. Would recommend the madras, buhna, chicken sag, Chefs special garlic chilli chicken and redgulab. Always delivered quickly and hot.

Ordered as a treat on just eat for a nice evening in on just eat the delivery time was between 35 and 50 mins which was reasonable considering a Saturday night. About 20 mins later got a knock at the door to very nice man (think he was with the restaurant and not just eat the way he was dressed, which would make sense ad I only live up the road) got a free poppadom and mango chutney with the order which was a pleasant surprise. The food was pretty good and piping hot which is unusual for a takeaway. All in all very good service and would highly recommend to anyone. Thank you guys for making my day 🙂🙂

On arrival, we were seated quickly and then asked if we wanted poppadoms (we'll come back to these later!). We were then asked if we were having one of the meal deals - all you can eat and drink or the set price for main, nan, rice. We agreed on all you can eat. We were then asked if we could give them our full order as the kitchen was very busy. Okay, fair enough. So, we ordered our starters and mains, being warned that we could not take anything home. Again, fair enough. The starters came out within 10 mins or so and were lovely, especially the onion bhajis (all 3 of them!) though the chicken tikka was swimming in oil (see photo). We then had to wait at least an hour for our main courses. When they finally arrived, the chicken and lamb dishes (tikka masala and sag) were described as good. The vegetable jalfrezi seemed to have every vegetable thrown in (diced carrot, aubergine, sweetcorn, green lentils, potatoes, etc with massively hot green chillis) but lacking in the main ingredients of a jalfrezi, i.e. peppers and onions (I counted two pieces of onion and one pepper), making it a very disappointing meal. There was very little to differentiate the cheese naan from the plain naan. The rice, however, was cooked well. Additional chicken tikka was ordered, much to what appeared to be the annoyance of the one member of serving staff, who seemed to question why we wanted more. The atmosphere itself felt very rushed, despite the long wait for food, because there was one person taking orders and serving food and drinks so he was rushing around here, there and everywhere! A lack of air conditioning made it very warm and somewhat stifling. When we asked for the bill, we were informed that poppadoms were not part of the deal so 6 poppadoms plus sauces cost an additional £9. Only one toilet was working, and even that was slightly dodgy with a broken seat. Unfortunately, I won't be in a hurry to revisit.

Great food, great location and fantastic staff. Good portion sizes too! You get your moneys worth! My partner had a peanut allergy and it was accommodated without any fuss.

Sorry but that wasnt very good, possibly the worst one I've had. Vegan options only: OMG the lemon rice, can't believe how many bits of lemon was in it. It was like eating a lemon on its own. I'm glad we had 40% off.

We've been visiting here for about a year now, the service and food have been consistently excellent. Nice decor on the inside and very reasonably priced, for both wine and food but especially for King Prawn dishes. I had the Balti last time I was there; I asked for it madras-hot and it was perfect when it came. There are a good selection of vegetarian options too.

The food here is absolutely devine, The decore is beautiful and the service is very welcoming and friendly. I do not have 1 bad word to say about this place genuinely. I had the butter chicken and it was banging. Our server, Mazan, was extremely nice to us and made us feel very welcome. A really great place to come and the portions are extremely generous. 10/10.

We have had a lovely meal this evening, which was very well priced for 4 people. There was only one member of the front of house team working due to being short staffed. Even with this nothing was too much trouble.

Lovely food and great portion sizes. Our waiter, Mizan was lovely and really attended to all our needs. The atmosphere was calming with music in the background and the beautiful starlit dome on the ceiling. Ordered through just eat. I ordered 2 vindaloos, one chicken and one beef. They sent 2 madras and It was a complete mess. Couldn't get a refund through just eat either. Angry doesn't even cut it!!!!!

After winning a £50 voucher here on Facebook I visited this evening for the first time in a long time. It was for my husband’s birthday and we had delicious food and excellent service. Upon asking for the bill we even received chocolate, a complimentary shot and a voucher for money off our next visit along with a vip card. A wonderful meal I look forward to repeating

Came in on a Sunday for the all you can eat set price deal. We were expecting the portions to be small or lack in flavour but quiet the opposite, food was absolutely amazing and they were not shy to ask if we wanted more. Very happy customers. I will return even on a day that doesn't have a deal.

This is my go to for a takeaway curry. Always good food and service. Great that they go the extra mile to cater for vegans with the vegan menu.

Went to this restaurant again after a few years and it was just as excellent this time round as it was last time! The food was superb and service was amazing! It was a busy atmosphere but nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Would definitely recommend!

I have been coming to the Bengal square (as was Bombay Lounge) for years and the food has always been top notch. Having not visited for 5 +years I am pleased to say nothing has changed in the excellent quality... Try the Chicken Pakora, still the best I have ever had!

We've been coming here for 20 years and can honestly say 99% of the time it's great, the food tonight was fantastic. I don't understand some of the negative reviews, if your meal isn't hot enough tell them and give them a chance to sort it out. Its sometimes a bit quiet in the restaurant but they are always doing loads of takeaways so food is fresh. If you have a problem tell them, let them sort it out, don't just give a negative review. Keep up the good work guys.

Visited recently with my partner, and was certainly not disappointed. We decided to try something different to our usual, and the prices, quality and atmosphere of the restaurant was stellar. The Lamb Madras was perfect; the spices were amazing. My partner tried the Bangalore Phall, and it was the right level of hot. I’m surprised we had not tried this sooner, it was packed and the staff still remained attentive - will definitely be returning.

Went on Valentines Day for a meal. The food was lovely and the staff are very friendly. There was a nice atmosphere as it was quite busy but not too crowded. Good selection of currys, and there is a new vegan menu. Nice lakeside location with good parking.
