Went in for a quiet Sunday meal. Staff were welcoming and the food was genuinely delicious. We had the lamb handi and the chicken tikka. Couldn't fault anything. Will definitely be returning.

Had another lovely meal here with my family last Sunday 😊 It's one of the places I prioritise visiting for a meal when I come down from Scotland. Food has always been lovely, staff very friendly and it's decent value as well 👍 We ordered 2 of the Sunday lunch set menus and a veg tray with vegetable Balti. We had a fantastic meal, very satisfied with the food as always. The Sunday lunch menu is highly recommended, it is fabulous value for money. Veg tray is awesome too 😍 A massive thanks to all the staff, keep up the great work and keep being the amazing people you are ❤️

First visit here was gorgeous food great service and atmosphere

Recommended by a friend so thought we would give their take away a try. Good size portions with lots of flavour. 10% discount for ordering take away and just about a 20 minute wait. Hope to visit again and try something else.

My first visit thoroughly enjoyed everything

Went on Christmas day. Was absolutely fantastic, owner Abi and the staff worked hard to make it a great day and the food was excellent as always.

We go here for our AMG Cheshire, works do every year, outstanding service from everyone and the food is to die for

Fantastic Lamb Sagwala and Chicken Jalfrezi. The lamb was really tender and full of flavour. Bottle of very nice Malbec very reasonably priced. Great atmosphere and lovely staff. Excellent service despite the restaurant being really busy. We eat here regularly and can highly recommend it.

I have being visiting the Heatons Tandoori since in my twenties and i have just turned 50 so went to celebrate with friends. The restaurant, food and staff has changed little over this time and still remains a top notch Indian restaurant to this day with the same head chef and owner Abi. Their service and quality is unrivalled and prices great value too. The Kulchi lamb slow cooked speciality dish is one of the best Indian dished i have tasted here, albeit a bit too much food for 4 people, the doggy bag was massive! but great to take home, i would reckon it would feed min 6 people. Great value dish. I like to think i am a methi gosht connoisseur and this dish served at the Heatons Tandoori is exactly how it should be cooked. Spot on imo. I would like to make a special thank you to Abi for the great night i had for my 50th celebratory meal, you made us feel very special and welcome yet again. Also can i request that the staff chicken curry you gave me be put on the menu, one of the best authetic curries i have ever tasted with a real great kick of fresh green chilli. Wow! Or at the very least give me the recipe and cooking instructions! Dont change guys - one of my fave restaurants. Cheers again 🍛🎉🥂

Nice little place. Maybe not as "authentic" as some of the other places in this area, but the food was excellent and the staff really friendly. Have to call out the naan bread which was fresh and very delicious.

Brilliant curry and reasonable price. Nan bread was as light as a feather and curries very flavoursome. Couldn’t fault. Really nice people couldn’t do enough. Disabled person in the party.

We stayed nearby recently and went for a meal here...oh my! Prawn puri to die for samosas home made and glorious all curries between the four of us were divine we will definitely be back when we are in the area

This restaurant is THEEE best curry house I have ever been to . Honestly , the food is beautiful. The chicken rogan Josh is my fave , it’s so so tasty and beautifully cooked. Living in Manchester there are so many places to have a curry , and of all the places I’ve been to over the years , this one is absolutely the best. It can get busy but the staff are always polite and welcoming and we have never had a bad experience here. We now visit heaton tandoori a lot . We don’t live in Stockport but it’s worth the drive out for us. The food is gorgeous and for me , they get everything right . Even the chips , the poppadums and the naan breads are sooo nice . We have recommended this place to so many friends and they all love it too.

A very strange experience at this Indian restaurant. The service was not as I would have expected, and was very unprofessional. The food was also rather different. I've never had chicken like the pieces in my curry before. Don't think I will go here again.. My tip, go to curry mile..

Was delighted to see my favourite curry on the menu as not all restaurants have it. Was quite possibly the worst curry I have ever eaten, just heat and no flavour. I did get a lot of chicken but not sure how many laps of the block it had been made to run as it was the chewyist chicken ever. Rice was ok, naan was really thin and not the usual fluffy naan. Staff were extremely miserable, we were overcharged but they refused to amend the bill. Will definitely not be returning, especially when there are many amazing Indian restaurants in Manchester.

Probably the worst takeaways we've had in a long time. Jalfrezi was a thin, runny sauce with no vegs and lumps of tandoori meat. Lamb Bhuna was pretty much the same. Even the veg curry was indifferent. There are great, average and poor "Indian" restaurants...this place does even make it on to that categorisation.

So I found maggots I my lamb curry. U need to sort ur food out I am never comin here again !!!!!!!

It is amazing and has well cooked food. The heaton tandoori can be located on Shaw Road, heaton moor. My personal favourite curry is prawn and I just love the atmosphere in the restaurant. A lot of people are enjoying their wonderful meals when you walk into the restaurant. Basically, the restaurant is just the best Indian restaurant you can find in manchester. Bay leaf is good, but not as good as heaton tandoori.

Great food and good portions, friendly staff. The place was full at 6 o'clock which says it all.

Ordered food to takeout. Cooked in the time specified. I had the Chicken Madras my mum had the Chicken Bhuna . Chicken was tender and plenty of it , the sauce was tasty. Would definitely recommend and I will be returning.

First time in here, the food and service was excellent, very busy which is always a good sign. We were not rushed and had a great night. We will definitely go again. Paul C

When you walk in the sweet smell of spices begin to make you tingle all over. I couldn't get my food fast enough. The staff was lovely and welcoming. The food did not disappoint. I ate more than I usually would.

Not been for a while really disappointing kashmir rice so wet and claggy didn't even won't to take it home, my king prawn pathia was so thick with lentils it wasn't enjoyable even my grandchildrens korma was like water, the only nice thing was the peshawar nann and the staff where rushing to collect our plates even before we'd finished eating won't be rushing back here anytime soon

Been here quite a few times over the 30 years I've lived in Greater Manchester and always had a good meal here. Brought my fiancé here and we had a lovely meal, great staff and excellent service as always. I had one of the house chef's dishes and was not disappointed. My fiancé enjoyed his dish too. Highly recommended.

Not been here for years but food and service still great

Great tasty curries big portions of everything only downside is website opening times are out and it's closed Sunday but Google still says its open for there buffet at 2pm which is annoying when your driving over 30 minutes to get there

Consistently high standard - where have the banquets gone?

We went in there last night very late on (about 10.30pm) and enjoyed an absolutely delicious meal and friendly, efficient service. There were 14 of us and they accommodated us really well. I couldn’t recommend enough. I had chicken tikka jalfrezi. Amazing!

I went there with my Mum and we both enjoyed our meals, the sauce was tasty and the meat was tender. Even the poppadoms were decent and they’re not usually something I bother to mention. Service was efficient and the price for 2 people was very reasonable. First time but not my last, nice find in Heaton Moor.

Great food friendly staff and good service around good value for the money

Great service as usual. Had a Chicken Biriyani and a Chicken Jalfrezi as mains and Meat Samosa and Sheek Kebab for starters.

Went during the pandemic and this place just isn't taking it seriously. Masks not being worn properly by waiters. Social distancing out the window as people come in to collect takeaways. Tables too close together. Bloke with a cough just happily coughing away as he drank three pints of lager. Guys, get with it. We won't return.

Always love coming here, one of our favourite restaurants to visit, staff are always lovely and attentive, food is always delicious and full of flavour, would not go anywhere else in the heatons for an Indian meal or takeaway!

Went on Friday with my wife for a meal been a few times ordered a couple of curries and rice order the rogan josh not very nice did not taste like a Rogan Josh my wife ordered a korma bit watery got the bill overpriced they have put the prices up since other restaurant has shut very disappointed.

What I would call a ‘proper’ English curry house. Solid food with at least some variation to the base sauce of most curry dishes. Peshwari naan a bit disappointing compared to some but rest of the menu is respectable. A fair restaurant in my estimation.

Ordered collection last night was really looking forward to the curry. But most disappointed Cold starters Prawn madras curry was tastless and so watery could not eat Garlic nan cold Very disappointed 😥

Best place to eat in the Heatons

Tous les ans depuis 20 ans je me retrouve en famille dans ce restaurant où l’accueil es d une gentillesse extrême où nous revisitons les plats indiens ses currys forts de saveurs tantôt épicé ou extrêmement doux je remercie l ensemble du personnel car à chaque fois il y a toujours une bouteille de St Emilon que nous commandons je viens de Bordeaux et j apprécie cette attention je recommande vivement ce restaurant je reviendrai l année prochaine

I popped in here on a Friday night with my other half. It’s close to work so we decided to give it a go and we weren’t disappointed.We had poppadoms to start with the chutney tray. Everything tasted fresh and really good.I had the butter chicken as a main with pilau rice and my other half had the tandoori mixed grill with a madras sauce and garlic naan. All the food was delicious and the portions were really generous.The staff were all really friendly and service was very efficient. Everything was really good value for money and I even got a flower on the way out!Thanks for a great evening - we’ll be returning!

This is always great value for money. We visit a few times a year and have yet to be disappointed, great service and great staff, we always enjoy visiting

Casual dining friendly staff makes this a nice pleasant place to dine. My favorite thing to order is the marinated lamb which comes with a variety of sauces. You must order in advance but worth the wait. I never had lamb so good. Other dish I love is Saag Paneer one of my favorite vegetarian dishes. I will be back!

Cosy restaurant, reasonably priced, amazing flavours

We tried the takeaway service and it was Chicken Tandoori and Tikka. I expected it to be a bit spicy but it was mild. I’m sure people who love mild food would love it. Overall impression, the restaurant looked really nice, neat and clean. I personally liked the display of different currency showcase at the till..
