Ordered a delivery, food was soooo oily and the mixed grill starter for 2 soo dry apart from the very oily onion bhaji.i Ordered my sons favourite chicken tikka massala!more oil than sauce?chips were cold.The only thing that was really nice was the salad very fresh. My husband has a stomach of steel ,but even he's stomach along with my sons& mine disagreed with this food??I've ordered here before ,as I thought it was chef from kush in heaton moore, but must be a different chef now.what a shame.gutted

Arrived 10 mins later than originally stated. Kids order was terrible, chicken cheese burger meal - no bun no cheese and the drink chosen was not sent and full original coke sent instead. Curry was lovely though

I ordered from Royal Chef for the first time late in the evening on Christmas Day. I actually had a vegan Christmas Dinner with my family but it didn't quite hit the spot and I found myself craving a takeaway a few hours later 🤣 I've lived in Reddish for the last 5-6 months and have only ordered from Cinnamon in that time as the food has been consistently good and also value for money but I fancied trying something different for a change. In all honesty I was going to order from Mint as they are slightly more reviewed and have a recent food hygiene rating but they were not taking orders. Royal Chef was the next best reviewed in the area and were still taking orders so I ordered from there. I ordered a spicy chicken tikka masala with garlic chilli rice and a garlic naan. My partner ordered a chicken karahi and asked for it to be cooked to a mild spice with lemon rice. To start with the chicken in both our curry's was absolutely lovely the texture and the quality of the chicken was the highest standard I can't think of many other takeaways where the chicken has been that good. My spicy tikka masala was absolutely incredible. The flavour was so good and the spice had a lovely kick that was hot but bearable. The garlic chilli rice was probably the best rice I've ever had from any Indian takeaway. Overall it was probably the best Indian meal I've ever had from a takeaway out of hundreds over the years. My partner really enjoyed her Karahi she also said it was the best quality chicken she's ever had in a curry and it had plenty of fresh chunky vegetables in it. She also enjoyed the lemon rice. The naan bread were almost perfect they were a lovely thick fluffy consistency with mountains of flavour from the garlic and coriander. Only minor criticism was my naan bread was a tiny bit tougher in the middle despite being fluffy on the outside. We also got some fries to share that we're nice and golden and crisp. Overall we were both very impressed with our meals and at £33 delivered I think it was great value for money considering the quality and execution. Will be ordering again very soon! 👌🙂😋

Really enjoyed the food. Been trying to find a takeaway that does tasty curries since our previous go-to changed hands. This was great. I had lamb jaipuri which was full of flavour. I prefer larger naan breads, but this was freshly cooked. I thought the chicken pakoras were overpriced for the amount, but everything tasted good, and they weren’t dripping with oil. Would definitely recommend and go again.

Ordered food this evening at 6.15 online. Their website said 45m for delivery. After chasing to see where it was the order arrived just shy of 2 hours later at 8.05. Barely warm, we checked the bags and wrong order has been sent. Was meant to be a chicken curry, sent some inedible side and a naan bread was replaced with a roti. Would have just warmed the food up had it been right but theyve gone massively downhill. Called to complain, told manager wasnt available then suddenly he was. Been assured a refund is on the way. Ordered from here previously all the time… never again. Avoid like the plague

Very appalled with this place Fort we'd try somewhere new never again. Food came with missing items tried telling me I was wrong!! Even though I had the items infront of me. Asked to send a fresh curry as had to wait to be delivered as original would be cold. Was told no!!! and to microwave it!! Very rude, curry was like water wouldn't go back put it that way and recommend staying away

Cannot recommend this place, the chilli sauce was a strange colour and tasted horrible. The curry was like water. The Mango dip was watery. Bombay aloo very hard. The rice tasted bland. They missed off Bombay aloo and also the rice, when we rang to tell them they were quite rude. Asked if they’d send a new curry as it would be cold having to wait for the missing food, we were told to microwave it. Very unprofessional. Even the delivery driver was embarrassed.

Received the wrong food. Called to rectify and they hung up after arguing with me. They then said that they would rectify it but then hung up and didn't call back. Update - still no contact from them, had to cook some food for the children. Id avoid like the plague. There are much better takeaways around.

Was once a great place for a meal but sadly no longer . My curry was bland tasteless n dull , far better places to spend your money .

I have been brought up eating curry and in the 42 years this was probably the worst. Ordered a Madras which was tasteless. A garlic naan which was like it had been given to us ten years after it was made. Honest opinion stay well clear of this place. I like trying new places but this is one that won't have another penny from me. Shame on you

Really would recommend Royal Chef to anybody in Reddish or the surrounding areas. Its obvious they care about the quality of their food! It’s excellent!

Rung up to place an order,and was willing to pay one pound deliver charge, but was told had to be over fifteen pounds, well u have lost a order, and your only a couple mins down road. Well spend my custom elsewhere.

The nicest take away we have had in a long time, best around. The meal for two is great, tasty tikka, onion bhaji, saag aloo, main meals of madras and balti were spot on, generous portions. Delivery was fast. Got our business from now on, highly recommended thank you !

Everything about this place works... Great service (welcoming, friendly), great atmosphere, good location and food so amazing - seasoned and cooked to perfection - what more could you possibly want?!
