A very nice Restaurant. Modern. Service is fast and efficient. Food is really nice.

I went to Madras Spice for a family meal this evening to celebrate my daughter’s birthday and we were really impressed with it. The place is very attractive and clean, and the service and food were great. We will definitely be going again.

Food was good but service needs improving, staff are not welcoming and the guy serving drinks was so rude, just dumped the drinks on people's tables without any sort of friendliness. Need to learn to smile!

Decided to try here due to a friend living in the area and another friend offering the recommendation. Place is of good decor and a nice size to not big but also not 2 small. Menus is good with everything reasonable price including drinks. 4 of us went with starters mains and extras with 2 round of drinks £35. Each. Food is really good quality and tastes fresh chicken was soft and tender and all food was very hot. Down side to this establishment is the staff. The waiter we had was very moodey and service was very slow. At 1 point I was still eating my starter and the plate was taken before it finished. He jst seemed like didn't give to u no what's. I'd definitely recommend on food but on service definitely not. So all in all it's your choice. Parking is able and free car park attached.

I have been to this restaurant on numerous occasions and everytime it's exceptional. Highly recommend for date nights or family gatherings.

As a coeliac sufferer, the staff were knowledgeable and kept me informed of ingredients used to ensure it was safe for me to eat. Nice atmosphere, great service despite being busy. We dined out as a family last night, all adults. As my previous post stated, the staff were knowledgeable on their ingredients/ menu, unfortunately last night was not the same. Whether last nights staff were new, I don't know, however none of them could advise on non gluten containing dishes. After 3 of them, in a huddle, at the bar, they came over with a multi page book trying to decipher what I could have, the whole of the 1st page showed I could have soup ! The previous visit was different, the waiter knew products that were prepared with gram flour etc making my choices more extensive. Needless to say we all left hungry. It never ceases to amaze me why, in the 21st century restaurants, chefs and public facing staff do not know their menu/products. There is always a good vegetarian choice, this is a lifestyle choice, however, coeliac sufferers do not have a choice, they become very ill, ultimately if they do not follow a gluten free diet it results in bowel cancer. Let's not exclude coeliac sufferers from the experience of dining out and produce a menu with GF choices.

Food is excellent, and the service is brilliant, never had a bad meal

We saw this brightly lit restaurant by chance whilst on the way to the airport, and we were glad we did All the food was perfectly cooked. Value for money promptly served in pleasant modern surroundings. We will be back

Ate out here 2 weeks ago, and the food was amazing. Just ordered a takeaway,the same dishes Hyderabad ghost and garlic chilli chicken as per last time, And it did not disappoint. Great food.. 👍

Great restaurant for all occasions with friendly staff and friendly atmosphere. Food was lovely and fresh and service was swift and courteous.

Just at end of my road, this is not the reason we go though. Food always excellent, the signature dishes are delicious and Cobra on tap. Comfortable seating and nice clean decor.

As food is a matter of taste, this should not be taken exclusively. The place is very nice. Easy to find and place to park your car if you come with one. Inside is very clean and pleasant. Service was top rated. We have been greeted and quickly pointed to the table. All are nicely dressed and smiling. Nothing was too much trouble when asked for extra plate or more water. Food sadly was average for me (as said, it is a matter of taste). Well presented but not as tasty as you would expect. My wife said the same. Here was far too sweet. Itnis great place to try but for me it won't be very soon.

Booked a table for seven. Only six arrived so the waiter moved us to a really small table with a view of the broken closed shutter. I asked if we could have a booth. I really don't want to sound like a middle aged Brit but he couldn't understand English. After what felt extremely awkward we were moved to a booth. The food arrived and to no surprise it was completely wrong. Instead of apologising the waiter in broken English said we ordered it wrong. Eventually another waiter who was very polite and competent sorted it out. Chilli Chicken was anything but Chilli. Bland, bland, bland. We have eaten in lots of Indian, Bangladesh, Pakistan restaurants and had some of the best food ever but this place is very poor. £160 for food I could of got better in Benidorm.

Food was ok but customer service needs to be addressed.. one waiter pleasant the other needs a personality shake up and needs to understand what customer service is! Wine was terrible and not the house wine, one off the menu.. would I recommend..... not really

The food was more like a Chinese curry than an Indian. A tin of homepride would have been better We did point this out ( not for any other reading than feedback) and they took the curry off the price. However we won’t be returning. Shame because the staff and the place itself are lovely

As it was busy we had to keep asking for items we ordered. We got a wrong drink and the onion bhaji came with no salad. It was all rushed from all the staff and other tables had a few issues also. The food was nice

Came here for a nice family meal where the staff were frinedlt and the restaurant had a nice defor. they had a good Sunday offer available which I think I recall was £16 , the food was tasty and big portion sizes and I would come here again

Food is amazing never fails to please, staff are friendly but when I paid they didn’t give me my change which made me a bit uncomfortable as I had to ask for it, still left a tip as I really enjoy the place but I think they should wait for the tip instead of keeping the change as a tip is not mandatory it’s based on financial position for each person, other than that the atmosphere is great staff are nice and the food is second to none

Food was lovely We opted for pickle tray, Honey Duck, chicken tikka, rice, naan bread,onion bhaji x 3, beer on draught and it was all spot on. The service was good and staff really friendly

The food was great but the service was appalling, I wouldn't say it spoiled the meal but it certainly made us all feel a little uncomfortable when the waiting server approached the table ? The bar man even started arguing with the server when clearing the plates. 27.04 .23

We have been a few times previously and this was possibly the best. Got a nice friendly welcome, shown to banquette seating which is comfortable and feels private. Service was efficient and food even better. We shared the mixed veg platter for a starter which was fabulous, followed by CT Rezala and CT Chilli Masala both of which were excellent. Looking forward to returning sooner than later.

A fabulous restaurant and a real jewel in the crown of Stockport. A fabulous, friendly, and helpful service. Lovely decor, very clean and tidy. Great food cooked to perfection and very reasonable prices, make this a restaurant well worth a visit! We visited twice in one week and will certainly look forward to visiting again.

If you are looking for authentic Indian food, stay away from this place. When we went there for dinner, there were no chicken dishes other than chicken tikka. And they were out of stock for vegetables too. We ordered Bhuna Jinga, Chicken tikka masala, butter naan, chapati and chicken tikka biriyani. Chicken tikka masala was sweet like any desserts overloaded artificial colour added. Bhuna Jinga was ok and biriyani was below average too. The only thing we liked there was their Mango lassy.

We were regulars to your restaurant and always enjoyed the food, so we decided as a family we would book for Christmas day. The restaurant was busy and great atmosphere, however when the starters arrived the chicken tikka was raw !!! My little girl had started to eat, it was only when we cut into ours we noticed this was raw. We informed the staff member who came and took these away and later returned with fresh ones, however this shouldn't happen. We didn't touch the rest of the food as we were totally put off and sad to say we will not be returning. Not sure if you took on too many bookings, however raw chicken is not acceptable !

Went her Xmas day, what a beautiful meal . We have been here regularly for the last 4 years and cannot fault the place, was busy today, but still cannot fault the staff and the meals. Will be be booking for next Christmas Day 2023 .

Well we’re do you start this hidden gem is absolutely brilliant The food and staff are 5 star + The food is of a very high standard in our party there was 18 people all the food came out together and was hot and well presented. All the staff were very friendly and I would highly recommend The Madras Spice.

4 people various main courses. Everyone enjoyed and we all promised to “do it” again. Sadly had to cut short our visit because two of the party had a very long drive. Will be back soon😃

Superb. We've eaten in and had many takeaways. Husband is a creature of habit, but I have tried a number of dishes. The Balti Exotica blew my mind! Excellent quality food.

1:45 still no food , rang to be told it’s not been processed despite email confirming order and money out of account. Terrible customer service and no compensation offered , I will be recommending my friends locally to not use this curry house in the near future , 0 star rating , poor customer experience, not acceptable

Have been here many times also had many take always, always been reasonably good until tonight. Papadams were like cardboard and the flash was not fit for human consumption.

We have been to this restaurant twice so far. We are very happy with the quality and of the food. Servers are also very friendly. The restaurant looks very clean. Keep it up.

Best curry I've ever had from anywhere really really tasty only problem was drive got lost and charged me delivery even though delivery was free!

It used to be great to order from but the last 4 or 5 times it as absolutely been hammered with salt. Ask to not add, but didn't make a difference. Really nice to go in and eat. Maybe they pay more attention to orders. Sadly I have to find another curry takeaway

Went here on Saturday night for the 1st time and it didn’t disappoint. Our neighbours rave about this place. The food was tasty and very well priced. Staff super friendly. I messed up my order and they sorted it with out any hassle. Spot on food and service. Would highly recommend.

Only one word “Excellent” !!! This Woodley Indian Restaurant is absolutely fantastic. A superb bright place, they have a great choice of food, superb service and outstanding atmosphere! Will continue to visit this restaurant.

my son ordered a meal to be delivered. The site said a 45m wait. After an hour and a half wait he phoned to ask where his meal was. The reply was "its on its way " so after another 15mins he phoned again to say his meal still hadn't arrived. They then said they didn't have his order that he had already paid for !!! Then finally it arrived 2 hours and 15 minutes later. He spoken to a member of staff and he promised him a free meal next order. So he ordered a meal and now they have told him they know nothing about a free meal. Absolutely disgusting service. We have been regular customers as a family even ate there Christmas day, which was a farse giving us wrong meals and forgetting drinks. Really disappointed will not be recommended them to anyone ever again.

N9rmally have a really nice takeaway from here, after multiple visits, never had a problem, however, this wasn't that nice when we last went and the food wasn't very warm. Staff very friendly and prices are very good. Just assume that this was a bad day.

Moved to the area 5 months ago and chuffed to bits that we have discovered this restaurant as we love Indian. Take away last weekend was amazing.Lovely Madras and Rogan josh with pilau rice so tasty. Will defo order again and plan to visit the restaurant next week 10 stars from us. 🌟

When for NYE 2021/2022 The food was very tasty, service was good, not rushed to finish the meal or leave the table for next seating, Unfortunately, one member of the party, there were 7 adults & 2 children, said his food was not very hot as if it had been stood for a while! But all others were fine. Will return on a 'normal' evening to compare.

If I could leave more stars I would. Such delicious, flavorsome food, the waiters were incredibly attentive and the star of the show was Syed. He brought pure joy to the evening, a truly lovely guy with passion for this restaurant and life in general. We will for sure be back and already look forward to it. Thanks so much 🙏 Oh... and.. Make sure to treat yourself to a Syed special Cognac. Something not to be missed!

Usually a great place however the 2 new staff running the restraunt on the 4 Oct 1 person spent more time taking selfies on his phone behind the bar . The other one talks so quiet when coming to the table couldn't hear him. And then both discussing the customers when they left and they took forever to be even seen too. Not at all good never got the hand wipes at the end of the meal or the fruit slices. The new staff need training more and not spending all the time on the phone etc
