Onions, onions and more onions! Pickle tray - mint sauce was flourescent green, never seen anything like it! Onions were redder than tomatoes. Seriously, how much colourant do you need to use. I also thought there was a strange smell from the pickles which left a distasteful aftertaste. Ordered chicken Shahlik, which was very salty, small amounts of chicken, again, too many onions. The curry sauce also full of onion..... What's with all of the onions, I hear you cry! When asked how our food was we politely gave our feedback, was little response from the elderly gentleman who we found to be rather arrogant and indifferent. A younger member of staff spoke to us, of which I asked if he would eat what we had been served.... Neither confirmed nor denied so take what you will from that one! But hey, an onion a day keeps everyone away.... and that'll be the case with us returning to this restaurant!

Sadly not as expected. Starter tray average mint yogurt looks like mashed peas, onions look lik they have been in tandoori paste pops 6/10. 2 starters 7/10. Mains of chicken ticker and a chicken shaslic 5/10. I won’t be back

Easy to use website for ordering, altho cash only (cashpoint at Tescos). Bill 10% off for collection. Some lovely food, altho Tandoori king prawn butter didn't contain many prawns. None of the curries ordered was hot, but nicely flavoured esp the lamb with lentil and fish curries. Definitely worth revisiting! £20 per head see order.

Very disappointing take-away. The popadoms very small and broke ( understandable being delivered) was supposed to be Spicy but tasteless! A decent pickle assortment and tasty, I ordered the Balti jalfrezi but hardly and chicken just a sauce and onions. My husband ordered the tandoori mixed grill but didn’t come with a sauce or a Nan, which in every other establishment we’ve ordered from provides these two accompaniments. Again disappointed 😔

We were very impressed. We tried this restaurant quite some time ago - it has improved a lot. The poppadums were fresh and crisp and the chutneys were very good. Our lamb channa gosht and fish tikka were really tasty. We had pilau rice and naan bread which were also very good. It wasn’t busy as it was a Tuesday night. Staff were friendly and efficient and asked if we were happy with our food, which we definitely were. No alcohol served so we brought our own, which made the bill very reasonable at £51. Highly recommended!

I ordered a takeaway. It was like a curry from the 90s when all those banned food colourings were allowed. Bland slop brightly coloured. They also got the order wrong but I was already home. I think the most offensive thing was the samosas. I bought a portion and was given 2 of those tiny Asda fun sized ones in a box. How is this place still in business?

visited with family for a 50th birthday, 6 people and all of us displeased with the service we were given and the quality of food we recieved. currys tasted bland and very little meat in them to say they were nearly £17 some of them, 4 prawns in curry costing £17 isnt acceptable. and a sashlik with 4 pieces of meat on also. bill totaling £125 and all displeased, wont be returning as its a shame because we went previously and enjoyed it. servers were very rude and didnt want us to order starters and drinks seperate and made us wait until everybody had decided all there choices so we then felt rushed. shame really as i looked forward to having a curry at what I orignally though was a nice restraunt.

Very small place - Food was only average. My partner had a bottle of beer. Fair enough we expected to be charged one corkage fee of £2.50. I was not having a drink but due to waiter bring out 2 X glasses I had a very small amount of beer in the glass he gave me. Consequently because I had a small swig of beer they charged us on our bill 2 X corkage fee of 5.00! They failed to explain this at the beginning of service. If I'd known if you use the glass you have to pay corkage regardless I would not of had this swig!! - Never again.

Great food, really improved in the last year or so; definitely give it another go if you get the chance. Could cut the lamb with a fork. BYOB (£2.50/head) which I really like as you can pick up some excellent beers from the nearby Epicurean instead of just boring cobra. Can feel a little expensive (but what doesn't these days). It's OK, but not truly authentic. The starters tasted "OK" but nothing special, and they were really quite oily, which is something you just don't do if you're making actual "Indian" food. It's at least open until late, which is something. The starter named "Vegetable platter" should perhaps be renamed too, given you get one samosa, one onion bhaji and one pakora I also thought that the main dishes weren't anywhere near as oily, and were actually quite nice, but they definitely lacked spice and therefore not truly authentic. The parathas were definitely quite oily too. They did also have mango lassi, but no other kinds, which is interesting given that mango lassi still requires the same ingredients as sweet lassi (minus the mango pulp) The garlic naan at least looked nice however, and it was neatly cut in triangles, which makes it easy to use. I've got zero complaints about the customer service though. That was spot on. It's certainly quite a noisy environment however, too.

We ordered a takeaway from here earlier today; it was also our first time eating here. I have to say we were not impressed the food was pretty basic and overpriced! It wasn't necessarily bad but very bland and a bit odd tasting sauces. Lamb chops were great nice and tender but both our main curry's let it down. It usually costs us £20-£24 to eat at other local curry houses but the receipt came to £36... Quite a difference considering it's only a take away. Don't think we will be returning here ultimately the food was not good enough. Ps not that I eat it as it's too mild for me but £10.50 for a chicken tikka massala is scandalous

Best chicken saag for years and boy do we eat curries!!! 3 of us as friends have been eating in these premises under different style and ownership for over 20 years and the present owners in the last 18 months really hit the mark. The decor is very modern and bright and obviously a lot of thought has gone in to making it different and stand out. But decor does not make a restaurant-FOOD does. And they have this spot on! 3 of us had 3 different starters and mains with choices of rice and naan and we ate absolutely everything with a smile!! The naans were soft and crispy and clearly cooked as they should be but how often are they a sad imitation? Not here. So give this restaurant a try for sure. We will be back and back for certain. They have obviously realised a slight issue with the step down to get out as we were carefully guided by the owner. NOT a reason not to go surely! It is one step that’s it. Indian food as it should be!!!

Surely you would have phoned to ask where we were...We did...No calls received! After a lengthy discussion we were given a table for two...for three! Every time the door opened, a major draught. A group of four came...Seemingly a similar problem. As they left without eating, they said that they would never come back again. The food was good but i wont be back.
