Have been coming for years and cant fault the kismet. So accommodating and the food is top notch - would recommend if you are looking for a curry in the area.

The kismet is the best curry house you will ever go to. Brilliant staff, best food, best atmosphere. Would recommend to a local or a tourist.

Absolutely love this restaurant food amazing and staff can't do enough for you, one of the staff that works there used to work at paradise spice, our favourite restaurant till it closed down, but now we have our new restaurant , we will keep returning .

Genuine authentic Indian cuisine, met by welcoming staff that are very polite and courteous. Food is always lovely, tasty and plentiful. Very reasonably priced. Cannot be missed and will visit again. Best Indian in my opinion. Visited again July 2019, maintains its 5 star rating. Further visit January 2022, Food was delicious, nice atmosphere and service continues to be polite, courteous and friendly. Still 5 stars and I recommend a visit. Visited again April 2022 lovely meal and great service. Visited October 2023 still great food. Maintains rating. Visited Aug 2024, fantastic tasty food, polite and friendly service and at a reasonable price. Still 5 stars 🌟 Thoroughly recommended 👌

Great food! Friendly and very helpful staff! Our kids don’t often eat curries, so we were brought a couple of sauces to try with the Biryanis - we had loads of popadoms, very generous with the pickles, onions etc. Will definitely be back when back in Stockport!

Visited here twice. 1st visit curry had more spices than 2nd visit. Ordered lamb bhuna and I must say the lamb cut easily and melted in my mouth, appeared good cuts of lamb. Staff couldn't do enough for customers. Not over priced. Customers very friendly.

Good curry house. I thought it was a bit pricey for what I got. Food was a bit greasy. I like a lot of oil on my food but it was a bit much even for me. On the plus side, all tasted nice and flavours were good. They do good breads at this place too.

Well what to say about Kismet. Booked a table for 2, always wanted to try it out but just never had the chance. Booked a table for yesterday 11th July at 6 pm and they accepted the booking. We turn up, and the place isn't even open, no courtesy email to say they were not opening up, nobody answered the phone or messages on facebook messenger. We ended up going up the road to Zulaika and were looked after well. Will be taking our custom to Zulaika for a big family birthday party now. If I could give Kismet a Zero I would

Hadn't been for a while. Been decorated beautifully since I last went. The staff remembered me and the food was lovely as always and great customer service This is the first time I brought my boyfriend here and he liked it too. Will definitely be coming back again. Highly recommended.

Surprisingly good, a short walk from the Blossoms Kismet offers tasty food really good service, just what was wanted.

The food was delicious, and the delivery was very quick.

The nan bred had a weard tast and the madras i had did not tast like madras it wos also could the popeardoms ware soft

I have a peanut allergy. I informed the staff this and they consulted with the chef about what food I could order. When the food came and I started eating it was clear that there was still peanuts in the food and I had to stop eating. When it came to pay they said that the first transaction didn't go through. They took my card off me, pointed the machine away and tapped my card. Turns out they charged me twice for a meal I barely ate. Thanks.

Went here on valentines night, food was superb, service was outstanding, staff cant do enough for you and the atmosphere was perfect. Well done Kismet, we'll be coming again for sure, our night was perfect

We binned the lot and ordered direct from Chilli Massala, Edgeley instead - Chilli massala meal was excellent.

Had a takeaway here about a year ago and was ok. Ordered again last night and huge mistake. Tandoori chicken cold and so were the tiny onion bhajis. Only thing I ate were the poppadums

Had a Mixed Biriyani take away whilst staying at the Premier Inn near by. Ordered online and meal was on time, hot and very tasty! Recommend

Me and the boys ate there over Christmas. We had the set meal, which was great value - poppadoms, starter, main with a side. The food was delicious, with sizeable portions. The service was prompt and friendly, which is all you can ask for. I will be visiting again very soon.

Very disappointed with takeaway, ordered on line at 17.27, was told it would be delivered at 18.11, turned up at 18.50, no updates! Portions were small, peshwari nan was burnt, specific request for no lamb in baltic exotica to be replaced by prawns, it contained mostly lamb, beef, 1 King prawn and no chicken. Would definitely not recommend, very poor quality spent just under £50, not worth it.

Disappointed Biryani was not garnished with omelette as described in menu , happy to find secret boiled egg. Biryani was excellent, vegetable curry sauce was superb . Garlic chilli lamb chops were very spicy 🌶️. Naan breads were top drawer. Kids stated their chicken korma ,rice and chips was really good . Customer service was good , need to smile a bit more😁

Worst service I’ve had in a long time. Kept me waiting over 2 hours for delivery with no attempts to communicate the delay, when I leave less than 10 minutes from the restaurant. Curry arrived leaked in the bottom of the carrier bag. Offered to replace full meal then made me wait a further 40 minute before calling to say they would just refund. Save your evening and order elsewhere

Nice place have been coming here for years but prices have increased somewhat but they have everywhere.

By and large it was a very enjoyable experience. The waiter, though pleasant wasn't dressed smartly. The food was good quality but one of the meals wasn't heated enough.

Lovely food and was worth what we paid £14.90 on the set menu. But the website advertised a buffet and if you have stopped it then you shouldnt really be still advertising it. Or at least put a sign on the door to say its not on. I booked via email - so they had their chance to tell me then but obviously choose not too. However, everything was excellant - even the prices of the drinks were good not a rip off like most restuarants. Yes we will go back - but i will ask about the buffet before i actually book next time.

Great place very inexpensive can't beat it

Came here again yesterday to be greeted in the usual friendly fashion I have become accustomed too, we were sat at a big table and we asked to move to another, yet again no problem. We ordered off the Sunday buffet menu which is always brilliant, the starter tray alone is worth the £8.95 they are charging. I asked for the naan bread to be filled up again to be almost immediately brought out a fresh naan just for me. The service here is fantastic, every one is friendly and the atmosphere is always relaxed they do a normal menu and Sunday buffet menu, they also do a mid week deal which is fantastic and fresh made. I will recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a nice Indian meal, fresh tasty well priced, very clean very friendly excellent service. I literally cannot find any fault anytime I come here, I bring all my friends and they all enjoy it

Visited here with my boyfriend, after a really good recommendation from my parents just a few weeks ago. The popadoms were ok but tasted like they were fried in old oil. We then had onion bhaji’s for a starter which were nice but again tasted like they were fried in old oil and the side salad, brown and wilted. For our mains we had chips, rice and 2 curries. The chips arrived and had 3 thick, dark hairs in. We left the chips and began eating our curry only for me to find another hair in my curry. My boyfriends however didn’t so we ended up sharing the blandest curry i’ve ever consumed. Quickly i was bored of the taste so we ended up leaving it. Overall it cost us £23 for it all. Not a bad price but was inedible. The decor however was horrific. Mix match furniture and mouldy ceiling. I didn’t enter the toilets, however my boyfriend did and said not one of them flushed, and very dirty. However the staff were lovely and very welcoming. Overall we probably won’t be returning and definitely wouldn’t recommend.

Called in tonight had the best Madras i have for ages, staff great cant praise them enough. Had the special saver menu.

First visit since the new refurb, The Chicken Sashlick Karahi was amazing as well as the peshwari Naan, have had 2 takeaways from there since the visit!

My mate ordered lamp chops, fish, cheesy chicken last night. Disgusting, I think if I've ever eaten cat or dog is was last night. Got a bit of a dodgy belly today. But the mrs said the poppadums were nice.

Ordered here for a takeaway, curry chips and popadom. The popadoms tasted of oil, but very old stale oil, I had to brush my teeth after eating due to the horrible greasy aftertaste it left, the chips were just mush, full of oil and grease again and just horrible, had I been eating in I would have complained instantly.The curry itself was ok however very tasteless. Would not return.

I ordered a takeaway as I was dropping people off. It wasn't ready when I arrived. The takeaway was ordered for a specific time, I understand things don't always run on time. I had to wait twenty minutes for it with no explanation as to why it was delayed. When I got home i found the starter was missing from my order and one of the items had leaked. I was so looking forward to what I had ordered - but was disappointed. Maybe it's what I chose, all I can say about the food that I had it was mediocre and edible. This is the first time I have experience of the Kismet - not a very good first impression

Best Chicken Tikka Saag I have ever had, full of flavour and cooked perfectly, Keema Naan was fresh and hot along with the Kismet Special starter and mixed kebab, excellent value for money and lovely delivery driver, nice hand off thank you 😊

Beautiful food, amazing service and will definitely be returning. The set menu on a sunday is worth every penny and is very generous sizing. Fully accomadated my 2 kids and also offered ice cream before we left. Really friendly staff and their attention to detail is outstanding.

Great food good prices they've just had a bit of a makeover to smarten the place up a bit, what more do you need to know these guys have been serving great food for over 30years to me and you know what I've never had a bad meal or sent anything back in all that time. During lockdown they ran a brilliant, efficient delivery service they are dedicated to serving good food to their customers keep up the good work guys my family and I are glad to be on the receiving end of your service.

Very decent, prices are very good! The food isn’t the best you’ll ever taste but you won’t be left disappointed. I’ve found Kismet can sometimes be a bit hit & miss. Staff are very friendly and approachable but I’ve been in a few times and they’ve been quite slow to serve you.

Visited this restaurant on many occasions, the service is always polite, friendly and professional. The food in my opinion is the best I have ever had and that's why I return. It is consistently good. Prices are very reasonable. Best in the area and thoroughly recommended.
