Spice Tower in Stockport

I have eaten here before and knew the staff were friendly and the food excellent. I recently had my birthday meal here with a couple of friends. I think 'Josh' must have spotted my birthday card and baloon on my table because after the meal a waiter presented me with a small dessert with a candle in it and got everone to sing ;Happy Birthday'. You can imagine my surprise, my secret was out now the whole restaurant knew it was my birthday much to the amusement of my wife and friends, Thankyou Josh for making it a fun and memorable evening.

Vegetable curry ordered. Arrived 85 percent potato. Also can't order vegan food on website. Vegetable rice poor. Very disappointed

Ordered takeaway via Just Eat, onion bhajis were missing but after calling up the restaurant promptly and efficiently sorted it, quickly sending out the missing item and poppadoms complimentary. Very impressed, mistakes happen in all jobs all the time but was so happy how promptly this was sorted. Food was 10 out of 10, delicious and packaged very cleanly and appetising. Will definitely return and cannot recommend enough!

Extremely upsetting and bad experience - if you do order food order from the Spice Tower order from Just Eat, in writing because Spice Tower won’t accept their mistake and will argue with you that they are right and you are wrong, therefore always make sure you have written proof of your order - in addition you get discounts when ordering through just eats which you don’t get in the restaurant - I won’t be eating the restaurant again, I will always order by phone through Just Eat

Best curry place in offerton, food tasty and fresh everytime we go. Service is outstanding, josh is always on hands helping out with recommendations. Thank you see you soon again

Always great service for take away

Been here a lot lately, went last night had a Madras could of made better myself, watery no taste. I mentioned this to owner who replied same chef and walked off. Lf this is their attitude no wonder the place is empty. While i am on my rant they employ the most surly arrogant waiter he's been there years dosnt make you feel welcome anyway think we'll give it a miss as i feel a lot of people are doing.

Excellent food, great portion sizes and very friendly servers. Best Indian I’ve had. Will definitely come back and recommend trying if you’re looking for a reasonably priced meal that is worth every penny.

We went to the spice tower to try the food there and wont be returning. The main currys, one had clearly been defrosted and the other was bland and very basic. The chicken pieces tasted 'cheap' and the texture was all off - again like it had been defrosted and, not one thing fresh about it. Didn't eat any of it, told the staff it was un-edible which was clear due to it not being eaten. Asked for the bill and they hadn't even taken any meals off or to be honest asked if we wanted to try another dish would off been something. Manager had a bad attitude and told us we, we should off told staff, we did however all they did was take it away. He then tried to charge us for side dishes which we couldn't eat as we had no main to eat them with. Long story short avoid, so you don't waste your money like we did on a microwave meal..

Probably the worst curry ive ever experienced, food tasted defrosted as the chicken and curry both tasted watery. Staff were rude once we complained. We were eating on a sunday as part of their 'Sunday deal' so once we refused to pay for the curry he tried to make the price back up by charging full price for the individual items. Would not recommend.

Peshwari nan and bhajis were very nice, rice also v nice, popadoms were soft and both meals were a bit bland, madras and chum chum, the waiter was new giving terrible service but can be forgiven as ew, wont be going again as dissapointed.

The best Indian food in the area. Great service and welcoming staff. Sunday special is great value.

This is our go to take-out on deliveroo, I don't know what they do to the chips but they're HEAVEN. So good! Curry is always absolutely beautiful too!

Haven't been here for years but fancied a change from our usual takeaway curry. We had chicken and mixed shahslick and the food was delicious. Good portion and delivered quickly, will definitely return.

We had a lovely evening at Spice Tower Restaurant. We went to meet friends who lived close by. The food was lovely and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Although slightly delayed, It was a Friday. The food was excellent. Best Curry I've had in a while and Imakes me want to visit the restaurant.

We went on Sunday 7th May for a family meal. 4 adults a child and a baby. Service was excellent, food was great. A question about naan bread and ingredients was answered on the spot regarding a milk allergy. Nice ambience and ample parking. Will be going again soon.

Been to spice tower tonight for a meal with the family, the service was 10/10 from start to finish. Josh was very welcoming and nothing is too much for him. I choose the chicken madras and this was spot on so much flavour. The restaurant is very clean and very welcoming.. I don’t go anywhere else for my curries I either eat in or order takeaway

I have been to spice tower on a few occasions and always been such friendly service and very nice food always made us want to come back we have always asked if it’s ok to order or mains after we had our starters as we find they just bring it straight out to us and we are to full to eat the main and this has never been a problem and they have always agreed except this time they said they couldn’t do that as the chef needs to no so my partner then went on to explain that it’s never been a issue before and then at the point the waiter laughed and just walked of with out saying anything then 5 min later after not knowing what going on someone different come over asked to take our order so we explained again if we could order our main separate which he then went on to say he couldn’t and it’s the same for everyone so we agreed and ordered and from then the service was just appalling we felt like we wasn’t welcome , our starters then arrived witch was nice as always and then was asked if we would like to wait for our mains so we said yes but then brought the mains out straight away so we just felt ignored it’s not even like the place was busy either it felt like they just wanted us out so before leaving my partner politely explained he wasn’t happy with the service and the guy just laughed at us not once was we ever rude even after being laughed at we paid the bill and said thanks and bye but won’t be returning back which is a shame as iv just moved close buy and is on our doorstep

We visited on a Saturday night , five of us in party . Food and service were excellent . We have used Spice Tower in the past and always OK but this latest meal was exceptional.

Lovely decor and atmosphere. The staff are incredibly friendly helpful. The food has consistently delicious and incredibly tasty.

Excellent meal. Pride of Spice Tower is as amazing, lovely prawns and just the right amount of spice. All of the group (9 of us) all felt this was the best meal we’ve had so far in our “Curry Club”

Good portions, reasonable prices and a reliable delivery service. The food was just all right. I had a madras which was red and oily, which isn't how I prefer it to be. Rice and naan were fine.

After having some great meals in restaurant, we decided on a take out tonight. I cannot believe the difference, we had two chicken meals one being tikka. To put it politely the chicken was awful both our meals ended up in the bin, spice tower are you cutting corners, couldnt even cut the tikka. Paying good prices for a very disappointing evening.

First time ordering from Spice Tower have to say that the food was delicious and hot on arrival and arrived at the on time definitely be ordering again

Had the pleasure for previous visits, this was again perfect. The food is quality, and plenty of it. Starters, main course all absolutely gorgeous, well presented and served with pride. Special mention for Josh, lovely guy and pleasure to talk to.

Ordered a home delivery from them a few weeks ago, which arrived on time and still nice and hot and was delicious. Ate in last night and the place was spotlessly clean, nice decor, tables are well spaced etc. The warm welcome from the staff was really nice and the service was very good; attentive, but not pushy, Josh answered any questions we had about the menu, the food was delivered promptly and there was plenty of it. It felt as though the staff took pride in what they did and Josh in particular was brilliant. Will be going again very soon.

Was really looking forward,, having been here before to our dinner, unfortunately I don't know if they have changed the Chef or not but the food was not up to the usual quality,the popodoms were old and not crispy,and the narm bread did not taste fresh at all, could have done with more time in the oven and generally the food was tasted bland,such a shame

Well, what can I say, we returned to this restaurant a few months ago and have been almost every week since... the food is so good 👌 but most of all the staff are wonderful and, we personally think that Josh has completely turned the atmosphere around. What a lovely gentleman, takes time to speak to you and always with a smile, even when busy. Going that extra mile and lovely food makes us return. If you haven't already give this restaurant a visit. X

Horrible place dirty kitchen out of date food stay away

We really love Dining here as its such a nice restaurant. Food is always lovely, the staff are so nice and always give a lovely warm welcome and the restaurant is really nicely presented. We had our Christmas Dinner here this year and it was fantastic. We are local but if you have to drive the restaurant has a large car park at the back. Highly recommended 👌

Arrived early evening , the restaurant was quiet. We was given plenty of time to choose our meals (maybe some people would see this as slow service I think it was great not to be rushed) and the recommended dish was amazing . We regularly dine in the restaurant and also use the take away service. We have been loyal customers for many years. Always fine well cooked dishes. Always friendly staff. Always a clean and presentable restaurant. The choices are varied from unusual dishes to traditional favourites. The cobra is always on form too. If I could change one thing ? Return to playing Indian/Bangladesh music 😉

1st time ordering tonight 21st October 2022 very impressed with there delivery and quality of food I had quorn korma it was a lovely meal my friend had chicken balti the chicken was lovely and moist will definitely used them again

Absolute scam. Went in with friends tonight 7 in total. We had pre booked and arrived to find our table ready with 2 of their 25% midweek discount posters laid out with our menus. Great offer it would seem. We ordered food and drinks and even choose starters as there was a £17 minimum spend per person to invoke the discount. Food was good and service was ok. When the bill came there was no 25% discount added. When we queried why the manager was rather rude and told us that in the T&C’s it said the discount did not apply to large parties. We asked what was considered a large party and we’re told 4+. When checking the posters we did not see any T&C’s just that the discount was at the managers discretion. We also asked why if the discount did not apply to large parties why did they put the posters on a large table. We were told they always put the posters on each table. After much back and for the the manager decided as a “good will” gesture to give us 15% off. After we agreed to pay the bill and after the manager had left our table staff members told us that this is a regular occurrence and we did well to get 15% off. What a way to treat your customers when times are tough for everyone. (We were 7 of the 9 people dining out tonight) It’s such a shame we won’t be going back for our monthly catch up as the food was good.

Came for my mums 60th 12 of us. Food was decent. Service was shocking. Had to keep asking for drinks, didn’t bring the birthday cake out so I had todo it myself. Then didn’t give us plates to eat the cake then had to ask for cutlery for the cake. Never actually had service like it. Wouldn’t mind if it was busy. But it was dead. Wonder why.

What a beautiful restaurant. The staff were super friendly, the whole place was very clean and tidy and the food was delicious as always! The children's portions were huge, plenty there for my 6 and 7 year old boys. We will definitely come back as a family again 😁

This restaurant has been recommended to us by several friends so we decided to give it a try and we were not disappointed. The menu was a refreshing change compared to most Indian restaurants and we ordered a selection of dishes to share between the three of us. The food arrived quite quickly considering that it was a busy Saturday night and it was delicious . The staff were also lovely and took time to chat after we had eaten. We will definitely be back to work our way through the rest of the menu!
