Went for the first time and it was excellent. The location is in Cheadle on the main road and it’s next to Waitrose and you can use Waitrose car park up to 3 hours free. The food was very nice and it’s a dry restaurant but you can bring your own bottle and there’s no charge. Starter was excellent and my main I really enjoyed. It’s not the cheapest but I feel you get good quality food. I met the owner and he sat at our table and got to know him and this restaurant has been there 30yrs so he’s doing something right. I went on a Monday evening and it was quiet so I’ve advised to book for a weekend. Any questions please ask and take a look at my photos.

Great food at very reasonable price

The food was 20 mins late and also was missing 2 rice but I still highly rate the quality of food. Would order again for a smaller group

Delicious curry. Generous portion and really tasty.

The poppadoms were nice and general atmosphere of the restaurant was nice. The cash only system was not explained to us the waiter said that we have chosen the cheap option therefore will have to pay cash. We had to walk to the cash machine after our meal to get some cash. The naan bread was cold and was not presented to us the way they presented it to other customers. The waiter spoke to us in a rude manner. Furthermore when the manager put the bill on the table he made a remark saying “guess how much we made from this bill, not much!” Really rude and unprofessional service. Me and my friends will not be going back.

Amazing food, had the sagawala chicken tikka. Delicious! Naan bread is great too. Lovely service from Salisbury. Would highly recommend

Same again!!! If you can’t supply then don’t expect the order, then cancel it to suit you and leave your customers hungry… please learn from your mistakes!!!!

Takes your order then cancels it when it is too late to order from elsewhere. Avoid, unprofessional and unnecessary disappointing, especially when there is plenty of other Indian restaurants that will fulfil your needs and will offer you a better reliable service.

The food was delicious, delivery was around 40 minutes late, one order was asked for just lettuce and onion and received all salad

I went in this evening and the service was terrible and never experienced anywhere so bad. The curry came and the chicken wasn’t very nice and very fatty and wasn’t what I expected. I won’t be returning and wouldn’t recommend

Went for a family meal on Mother’s Day. Will not be returning, the atmosphere was horrible, staff around the table constantly trying to get more drink orders, just hanging around not friendly looking at all. When taking the plates away at the end of the meal they hit a plate of food off my head in a rush to get us out. They don’t accept card, so my husband had to walk to a cash machine (what restaurant in this day and age only accepts cash?) Then when they give us the bill they overcharged and tried to convince my husband he’d had a beer, when he hadn’t. Actually arguing over it when he said he didn’t have a beer. The food wasn’t great, but the service was terrible.

Not really sure how this place is still operating. It’s never busy, the food is distinctly average and the service is poor. It’s also not particularly clean - we asked for a highchair and it was FILTHY

Cold in the restsurant and food overpriced

Food was cold, onion bhajis were hard as if they had been reheated but still were cold not an enjoyable meal at all very disappointed 😞

watery curry/didn't taste right. Stale poppadoms, tough naan and everything cold.

Popped in with my daughter for the early diner, staff were very attentive and friendly. The meal was delicious and was excellent value for money. We will definitely be visiting again in the near future.

Not sure what went wrong tonight, starters were very small, popadoms were extremely stale. Used my stamp card, does that affect the quality?

Had such an amazing experience eating at Garam Massala. I haven't had an opportunity to eat Indian dishes in a while, but was able to enjoy a good catch up with my friend at Garam Massala. The staff made us very welcome and since we were early bird customers we had a wide choice of seating. The menus are clear and varied giving us a great option of meals, we went with the early bird menu and let me tell you that the food here is delicious. We had papadum with a selection of sauce dips, chutney, chilli, sour etc. The starters arrived promptly, I had the onion bhaji while my friend had a chicken tikka (it arrived sizzling hot), so good. The onion bhaji were big and had a side of lettuce and cucumber. I tried it for the first time and am in love with them. So crunchy outside, soft inside, a perfect starter, especially since I added some chutney to it. For the main meal, my friend ordered chicken masala while I have chosen the chicken karhai, which arrived sizzling hot in a little pot on a wooden board, with pilau rice. I don't know how they do it but it was smooth as butter, practically melting in my mouth and the combination with rice was just perfect. For the ending we ordered two simple coffees, we received some brown sugar and cream for it in addition to a little mint chocolate. The portions are good sized and we were half full just from the starters. At the end the staff brought complementary warm wet wipes. We cleaned our hands and went home with tummies full of gorgeous food. Garam Massala is definitely having another visit from us in the future.

These guys are great, food quality on the takeaway is restaurant standards always, always fresh never too greasy. We never use anywhere else. Always arrives before delivery time, we won’t use anywhere else for curry now.

Food wasn't great. Very bland, very little flavour.

I buy here all the time, collected £15 in stamps, it didn’t give me them on the order, then reset my stamp to 1, won’t be returning to be shafted again!!!

The owner meets you with a welcome, there is a great choice of dishes on the new menu. The starters came promptly, I had the mix starter which came on a sizzling plate red hot and very tasty. Main menu a very wide choice, the spice level was just right for me but you have it spicier if required. Excellent experience, we will visit again soon.

Don’t go in here and order off the early bird menu because at the end they will make you pay cash only. They take cards but don’t allow it unless you order off the main menu. Be nice if they told you that beforehand . Wonder where that cash is going then??? Food very average and small portions plus service very grumpy - smile for heavens sake

Everything was perfect, we are vegetarian and very few places do paneer and these guys do it really well, would love a Paneer tikka masala though, hardly anywhere does it, great job thank you 👍

Lovely meal this evening. Did the early bird offer - 3 courses plus coffee. Food was really lovely. Service very friendly. Have eaten here a few times and never disappointed. Overall a nice curry on the centre of Cheadle Hulme!

Our 2nd order from here but probably our last. Lamb tikka bhuna was swimming in oil, very mild and the lamb extremely chewy. The onion bhajis were very floury and stodgy inside. Preordered but for was 20 mins late. Chicken tikja samber was nice though. Shame as our first order from here was very good.

The food is normally good, but on this occasion, it wasn't, greasy, off tasting poppadoms, Same for the chips!! Meat was tough in the food, which spoilt all the meals. We threw away most of it, really disappointing.

We love this place, the food never fails to impress! Particularly love the tandoori starter and specials! Saleem and Baz are fantastic, very attentive and make every visit worthwhile.

I've eaten here quite a few times and it's always been excellent. The service when eating in is second to none in the area, and when having a take out it is always a great option. The food is great also. This place has been open for a very long time and I urge you all to go and support there business!

Ordered a take away, had to chase it up 4 times, was meant to be delivered in 30 min , it was nearly an hour......I Ordered butter chicken and got a different meal....full of coconut amd very sweet....not the normal butter chicken....nan bread dry no gheee or butter on it. Price was okay

Normally love this place. Seems as if they’ve missed out on the spices tonight, everything is tasteless! Disappointed, was looking forward to this all day.

We've been using this place on and off since it opened. Yes, there is a very rude waiter, but the food is generally okay. On this occasion, we actually booked our table online and both over the phone to confirm our booking for 9.30 p.m. the next evening. We were told over the phone that it would be absolutely fine without a booking because it was going to be a Monday evening and they would have plenty of space. However, we like to do things properly, so made the booking anyway. We arrived five minutes late, 9.35 p.m. They were empty and closing and told us we could not eat there. After telling them we only wanted a quick meet and showing them the booking they very rudely agreed to give us a table but again very rudely told us we had to be quick and finish within an hour. We agreed. The rude waiter sat us down and before we had even opened the menu, he got his pad out and asked what we wanted. We told him we would like to actually look at the menu, but he was adamant that he was going to stand over us. So, we got up and left. We went to another restaurant which was fabulous and spent our money there. We will never return to this dreadful place. No wonder is is empty in the evenings. Tip to owners - get rid of the rude waiter (old man), he is going to ruin your reputation.

Arrived 5 mintutes after our booked time, rude waiter told myself and friend we were late. Refused initially to seat us, restaurant was empty, eventually 'allowed' us and shown to table, were he stood over us with a notebook to take orders before we had even been given menu's. My friend and myself decided to leave and had a smashing meal around the corner with great food and excellent service. Won't be going again! No wonder it was empty!

For a Friday pay day bank holiday weekend 10 minutes late was very forgivable. Food was delicious but the lamb in the lamb tikka bhuna was very tough and chewy. The chicken was all brilliant though. We'll definitely order again, but skip the lamb.

Food gorgeous as always,felt like my kebab has less meat that usual and arrived cold even though its few minutes from where I live. Don't know how they justify £3 delivery too.

Not for us. Sat by the window and had ants crawling everywhere. Put us of our food and from what tried it was blank.

Booked a table for two tonight at 8pm but they had run out of food so we effectively got turned away. No real apology or appreciation of our loyalty to support a local business, just chasing the money. We will not be bothering again
