Deedar Tandoori Takeaway in Stockport

This is by far the best curry house in stockport,I have a pal curry every week delicious

For a change we thought we would have a takeaway from this place as it is local to use. The order was Mixed Biryani and a Lamb Makhani. Okay so the food was 15 mins late as it was busy,yes i dont mind that as it was a Saturday evening. I put the food out and noticed that the vegetable sauce was missing from the Biryani,okay no big deal,just one of those things i suppose.i could use some of the sauce from the other dish. The Biryani was shown as having prawns in it,no trace of any prawns,if it says Prawns i expect large Prawns,not teen weeny shrimps!!! The meat was like rubber,and not tasty whatsoever. The Lamb Makhani meat was also like rubber and unpalatable. I rang the place and told them that the sauce was missing,no response whatsoever,i told them that the meat in both dishes was tough,hang on we will ask the Chef to speak to you!!!! Spoke to the Chjef,he had no idea what to say to me. told Him i would be in tomorrow for a partial refund,his reply was. We have no other complaints tonight!!! Disgusting food and disgusting response,a couldn't care less attiude

friday 26 april 2024 .....super service and the quality and flavour of the curry is the best! I had a chicken madras and chicken bhuna with pilau rice and a very special cucumber and mint raita plus complimentary onion bhajis and onion chutney and poppadoms!! excellent portions left plenty for another meal! thankyou all at Deedar for a great curry !

Went in Ordered 2 kebabs wish I stayed in and seen how these where prepared stayed in car outside went in 10 mins later they where already done ? Thought it was a bit strange no smell of freshly cooked food ? The packaging was cold when got home the food was cold as well nothing was fresh at all ended up throwing the food probably one of the worst chicken lamb tikka kebabs I've bought terrible won't be back to this place again AWFUL !!!!

Best Kebab I've had in 20 years. The Deedar is certainly worth a go. Curries are great also.

Food quality on several deliveries was excellent. Will order again for sure. Give them a go you will not be disappointed in my opinion at least.

We used to live in Hazel Grove and had regular take aways from the Deedar for a few years. 4 years ago we moved to Haworth (near Bradford) but each time we're back in Hazel Grove after the Deedar opens we get some of our favourites to take back to Haworth and put in the freezer. The Balti Rezala and Chicken Pasanda are amazing!

Nice food but let down by me ordering mango for the poppadoms and getting only 1/4 of a tub full so probably best to order 4 if you want one.

The Deedar made our Christmas dinner. Absolutely superb. Thank you so much. This will be our go to curry house from now on X

The best takeaway in Stockport, every time it’s amazing food and great service, I recommend you try everything on the menu.

Chops were a little burnt but the special kebab its the biggest I've ever had seriously its nearly 3 ft

Got most of it left over for breakfast chunks of meat are small but for the price ,outstanding

worst takeaway I've ever have not sure if this place has been taken over because it used to be nice I had to bin it it was that bad I wouldn't let my dog eat it

Best curries I ever had. Tender lamb and chicken, The sauce and flavour out of this world. I travel 20 miles for the taste.

I feel so bitterly disappointed by the customer service and the lack of respect shown by the owner/manager this evening. I have been a regular customer at Deedar for 10 years, the reason for such loyalty is due to the quality and consistency of the food, value for money and great staff. Tonight I placed an order via the new online system, which is easy to use. After 1 hour we had no food - I called Deedar to ask why there was a delay. I was told that it was a 1 hour & 40 minute delivery time, as highlighted on the online booking … there was no time given on the email confirmation. The manager disputed this and offered no real apology and then palmed me off with a time of delivery in 15 minutes. After 1 hour and 50 minutes we received some lukewarm curry, overcooked pakoras, no salad or dips with poppadums. Recent price increases now make this takeaway less attractive but I accept the pressure on local business but a lack of respect for your customers is not acceptable in my book. Why not Pick up the phone and apologise, your arrogance obviously precludes you from that simple task! It’s a shame but we will go elsewhere for our regular Indian takeaway in future.

Used this place many times, got a meal last night terrible Prawn Madras couldnt eat it straight in bin. In my mind the meals have increased in price but gone down in quality. I have found the meals from here fluctuate so much. Very disappointing.

Ordered our food tonight and the the delivery time was promised a number of times. Still waiting. Will not be using this takeaway again. No apology and still no food.

Always great good. I always get a lamb tikka chat. Travel from Manchester City centre to get it.

Always use Deedar for an Indian takeaway as its the best one we've ever used. Clean,prompt service from nice staff and the food is amazing.

They had issue with there online payment system,. Okay but then swearing over the phone at my wife. Telling her how she was ripping them off. Then a not bothered and hostile attitude when she went to the store and provided evidence of payment. Not only there payment receipt which they didn't believe but bank statement showing payment. List a long standing customer, there response was there not bothered

Had friends round and decided to give the Deedar another try after some indifferent experiences in the past. One of the selling points was the headline offer of 20% off for NHS staff as a thank you, which is emblazoned on their website. To get the discount just type “NHS staff” in the comments box when you place your order and get the 20% discount in the form of a cash sum with your delivery, when you produce your NHS ID card to the delivery driver. The delivery took over an hour, but in fairness it was a Saturday night. However, upon production of the relevant NHS card, no cash was forthcoming. When asked about the discount the delivery driver immediately lied and stated the NHS discount was not available on online orders. I showed him the page on the website showing the offer to which he replied ‘it doesn’t say anything on the receipt’. The sad thing is that the food was actually pretty good but once again the Deedar has let itself down. It will be along time before I return again. If you’re going to make offers to NHS staff, then please have the decency to honour them and don’t lie about the details of the promotion when challenged.

Had a lamb meal and struggled to find a good piece. Threw it away and went vegetarian for the night:) I've known that it can be hit and miss but this was very poor quality.

Recommended by others so decided to give it a go. Good quality food and will certainly become a family favorite.

Always good food from here...been going for years. Staff are friendly and helpful as well.

Absolutely superb food! I've travel globally for my living and I've tired many Indian takeaways along the way...and these guys are always coming out best overall.

I love, love, love this place! I have never really ‘got’ Indian food until eating from here. The food is so tasty and the staff/delivery guys are always so nice. Chicken pakora, chicken tandoori and cheema dhal are my faves but everything I have tried has been delicious. A wonderful local business to support.

Been going to the Deedar for many years and it never disappoints. Staff are really friendly and the food is as good as any restaurant.

Ordered a delivery after a recommendation and was really impressed with the quality , portion sizes and flavours .. really good value for money and an extra bonus being able to use my NHS card for 20 % discount . Courteous delivery guy and on time .. will definitely be ordering again .. thank you

We ordered a pasanda and Chicken Tikka Masala. They had very odd tastes, despite looking initially promising. The masala tasted like someone had poured a bottle of soy sauce or vinegar in it , I would not recommend! I’ve never complained about a restaurant before but I would avoid this one. :( Very disappointed :(

I've been eating at deedar weekly for a while now. The food is always consistently delicious. There is so much to choose from, and to be honest everything I have tried has been scrumptious. The customer service is great especially Jahid who is very friendly.

Nice food but constantly tainted by wrongly packed order. Third visit over the last four months and third time got home with the wrong curry.🤷🏻‍♂️ Complained and was asked to come back and pick up the correct meal. Err, no!! Eventually; tonight they arrived with the correct curry but no rice, had to wait another 10 minutes and finally ate after everybody else in the family had finished. Not the best, could try better in the packing of the takeout. Blue Nile from now on, sorry 😐

Wouldn't go anywhere else for an Indian takeaway. Their food is the best and the service is great. The staff are always so lovely when I go to collect my order and regularly throw in some free Papadums, to my delight! Also good value and accurate collection/wait times compared to other takeaway places that I'm sure only start cooking your order once you've arrived 🤔 Thanks Deedar!

Very poor, ordered and paid, 2 hours later still waiting! Just kept saying sorry, but never actually delivered the food or offered to deliver the food. First time order from a recomendation, won't be ordering agian!

Standards of service are always the highest and food quality is superb. Been getting our weekly curry from Deedar for over 20 years and even though we've moved out of Hazel Grove we still make the trip every Friday!

Ordered last week and the food was amazing, thinking about having some tonight, great staff too!

Been going here for years and always had good meals. However last time I went the portion sizes (carton used) had shrunk for the main curry - not good at all !! Things like shrinking portion size or less meat and more sauce are definite no no's and will turn people away

Thought I'd give Deedar a try after moving into the local area after being recommended by my parents. Very good Indian, different from your usual Indian takeaway, excellent portions and very friendly staff. Will be returning.

Decided last minute to have an Indian last minute. Unsure what to expect at the Deedar as not been for a year or so. Had really enjoyable meal this time. Veg pakora & onion bhaji really good. Prawn korma delicious with plenty of prawns. Will return.

I've been going here for years. It's an excellent Indian takeaway. The staff are excellent & very friendly. I like to try different meals from the menu & I can honestly say never had a bad meal. There is ample free parking at the front. Very highly recommended.

food was ok and hot, the large rice wasn’t bigger than a regular and expensive for what you get! arrived after ordering and told to wait as it would be two minutes. half an hour later i was still waiting, they wouldn’t offer the 10% off for collection even though stated on our menu. this is the second time we’ve had to wait for a curry from deedar and wouldn’t recommend it again. we personally won’t be eating from the again.

Waited over 2 hours for our delivery having been told driver was on his. As regular customers will NOT be using them in future as when I finally complainted they just moaned about the busy traffic even though we Are only 10 minutes away.

Food good but made me wait for 45 minutes for collection and forgot our onion bhajis

A must for all fans of a fantastic Indian food, discovered Deedar about a year ago won't go anywhere else now & I live in reddish well worth the drive. Very extensive menu and the naan bread is the best in the history of naan bread, very friendly staff and the open kitchen is a brilliant idea you can see your food being cooked in a clean & hygienic kitchen keep it up guys your doing a fantastic job.

Entrante: poppadums muy salada. Las cebollas rojas son cebollas mezcladas en tomate puré (muy enfermizo), chutney de mango aguadas y no sabor de mango. Samosas de carne no contienen mucha carne.Plato principal: sosa y demasiado picante. Me gusta la comida picante, pero me gusta algunas sabor.Yo recomendaría ir balti cocina en bramhall o sangam 3 en heald en vez de color verde.

He estado viniendo aquí desde hace años y la comida es excelente! El personal siempre está dispuesto a ayudarte y a atender sus peticiones y en un par de ocasiones aún preparado para nosotros ya que nos dejó en igual estaban a punto de cerrar, doblando la vaporera! He estado disfrutando de la Deedar durante más de 15 años y nunca decepciona. Después de un par de años descanso ahora los uso sobre dos veces al mes. El curry son gruesas, ricos y sabrosa y se sirve en generosas cantidades, ofrece una gran relación calidad-precio. Su pollo tikka madras es el mejor que he tenido. También ofrecen una gran cantidad de interesantes ofertas especiales bien vale la pena.El Deedar había sido previamente dirigido por el Sr. Choudry (MSc) pero él recientemente renunció, pasando la perfección a su familia baton. En su relanzamiento que introdujo un servicio de entrega. El personal es muy amable y aunque las entregas pueden tomar un tiempo en los periodos que intentan gestionar sus expectativas. Es difícil encontrar cosas negativas. Una vez que conseguimos nuestra orden los pepinillos en un pickle, y sus endebles pueden a veces ser popadums crujientes, pero normalmente paso una gratis. Probablemente tenga una opción de siete indio que siempre que están más cerca de mí, pero el Deedar sigue siendo mi preferencia. Esto me da llevar un reconfortante sensación de calor en más de una manera. Excelente.

Deedar afronta el desafío, tenía un corto sobre indecencia hace 12 meses. La calidad de la comida aquí es mejor que la parte final restaurantes indios. Que son clientes habituales como son nuestros amigos. Los platos se entregan constantemente a un alto nivel, y una gran relación calidad-precio. Pruebe los platos tandoori y el dansak es magnífica, que se vuelven por más.

Cuando amigos o familiares y conseguir una para llevar siempre vamos a Deedar ya que nunca nos ha decepcionado, curry increíble! ! Mi favorito es el pollo Bhuna, el personal es encantador y siempre con ganas de charlar! Recomiendo encarecidamente que lo pruebes ya que no te decepcionará!

I am not massive on writing reviews but this place deserve the credit. Not only is the food superb but the staff are really genuinely friendly. Ripon a member of staff there is the man! I have tried many takeaways in hazle grove and i have found this one the only one i will go to now!! Top service, brilliant staff and most of all delicious food!!!

Have been using the deedar for over fifteen years now and have NEVER been let down for quality or service.Was slightly apprehensive when the new guys took over but if anything the take away has got even better.Lovely new layout with the same great view of the chefs cooking.Lads on the counter are top draw, not know what you fancy or just want a change? Speak to them and they will recommend something you've not had before.Can't fault this place at all, play your cards right and you will even get a fresh brew thrown in whilst you wait!!Well done lads keep it up!

Absolutely fantastic food! Amazing flavours! Great service! And it was a bonus to watch the chef make my food as I was waiting for my takeaway! The new look is spot on! Highly recommend to anyone! Would be a fool not to try!

I've been using the Deedar for years and always found it consistent.I've really slowed down using it now though, as our tastes in Indian food develop from the old fashioned idea of a thick tomato curry base with different stuff thrown in depending on the curry you order, I've started to just find it not to our tastes.You have such a selection of curries at different places now, serving street food and filled breads and all the amazing Asian continental food, this type of curry feels a bit 1980s now. I'm sure many people want this kind of stodge, its just not for me anymore.

Cant find a Takeaway to beat this one, tried quite a few but non compare. Staff always pleasant and more that helpful with the menu or willing to please with variations on the menu to suit your taste.

Consistently top standard of food for years now!! Friendly staff. I do miss the Bombay Mix handed out whilst waiting though :) Recommended to friends and family.

The Deedar is the only indian takeaway we will buy from, and have continued to use it for years because of its wide variety of hot, fresh and delicious dishes. The staff are friendly, the premises is well looked after and it is open till late. Its not very cheap but well worth the price due to its quality. One minor setback is that on the odd occasion they would try to overcharge us or would miss out some things wed ordered, but whether these incidents were on purpose or not I dont know.

There is no where else I will go for a indian take away, lovely authentic food, freshly made to order. You can even see the chefs cooking your food whilst you wait. Friendly service. They have a great reputation. Consistently good.
