No atmosphere, wrong type of crowd not a local pub you can go to for a quiet drink even thou I live opposite for 8 years and been there twice.

Ordered mix Grill & onion to be caramelized,told her 3 times .when food came onions raw chicken dry . Not happy with chef .

Old school Indian/Kenyan foodie pub. Footie on the screens and pool tables to keep you busy. Late nights on the weekend if you have the stamina. Good value too.

Amazing tasting food and warm welcome by Toni and the team, we go there so often and will still keep going with family and friends to enjoy food and drink.

Good food with the occasional outstanding dish (Methi Chicken). Nice, friendly staff and the service out of the kitchen was super fast! Usain Bolt working back there?

Great service but the food was average did not like the chicken tika did not taste right. Kebabs and chicken wings were nice. The saag and tandoori roti and garlic nan were very nice. Did not like the cocktails too sweet and frothy.

Popped in after the rugby and stayed to eat and OMG it was amazing! Never had food like it. Plus the service and atmosphere was brilliant too! Highly recommend

Omg! Staying at a near by hotel, popped in there for a drink, was talking to locals said how nice the food was and they were not wrong, met Tony the chef. The food was amazing, staff went out of their way to make you feel welcome. Would highly recommend

The food here is excellent! Compliments to chef Tony !! The locale is a sports pub with nothing special about it and can get noisy if there is a game but I’d go back for the food without hesitation.

My partner and I really enjoyed the vibrant blend of craft beers and Indian-East African cuisine in their spacious beer garden. I've added it to my barguide.london site too!

Was visiting Hounslow for the first time and needed somewhere for the football. Never had such a nice time in a pub before. Lovely staff and lovely customers who you could tell were regulars. Wonderful.

Poor food, mix grill came out within 5 mins. The chicken was dry and the lamb chops were old. We told the staff and we were merely given a discount for next time. Absolutely poorly!

Mixed grills were of a poor quality. Meat was tough and lacked flavour.

Great pub ... Could do better beer selection like IPA or craft beers.. but this place is all about the food and it did not disappoint... Tony I wish you come back to harrow ends... But worth the travel... Been eating this food since I was 20 .. 20+ years later and it's not changed a bit... Good times.. kebabs, wings, garlic prawns, and wings were off the chart...

Visited several times over a two weeks period as it was close to the hotel, but it never had much atmosphere.

Nice pub ambience is good, food was distinctly average. Mixed grill was ok but tasted like it was cooked in the oven. Main courses were tasteless and bland. Real shame.

Went to the black horse pub in Hounslow yesterday for drinks and dinner The place was not that busy and there was 6 of us For starters we ordered 2 mixed grills and some roti the grill was nice but the chicken tikka on the grill was very spicy For mains we ordered sag aloo , prawn curry chicken masala and pilau rice Sad to say we were not impressed with the mains as the sag aloo had no seasoning and chicken masala was not what it stated This was raised with the staff Overall a bit of a disappointing evening as this place was recommended by a friend The positive side is the place was clean and had ambience Hense the 3 stars

Great authentic food. Good portions and speedy service. Overall a nice experience and would return if in the area.

It’s a pub with outdoor spaces but it’s also family friendly and service is always welcome and friendly. Grill items are incredible mostly for the chicken wings. I’d avoid the garlic wings if you’re on the fence about garlic because you’ll stink for days, I promise you. All the other standard Indian dishes are good standard and every time I’ve been here it’s been a good eat.

Brilliant pub with excellent food.

As always great fresh food prepared by the man himself, Mr Toni Jaurre. The best samosas you'll have and freshly cooked mains. A real joy to enjoy this quality fare. Highly recommended

Lovely pub, great food and atmosphere on football nights.

Only stopped for a quick drink but ended up staying for dinner. We shared chicken wings, chilli fish, garlic cassava chips, chicken methi, rice & garlic nan. Food was really authentic, tasty & filling. One of the locals recommended some dishes. Staff were attentive & friendly. Really friendly atmosphere in the pub with families, locals & couples eating drinking & watching the football. A really good pub.

Came here off recommendation of the hotel we were staying in! Service was faultless, food was absolutely amazing, full of flavor and hot! Great atmosphere and have recommended to friends and family.

We were staying at the Park grand hotel over the road and thought we'd give it a try. So glad we did. Well stocked bar and friendly staff. The curries and sides were great. Very tasty. If we stay in the area again we will definitely be paying them another visit.

Not big on hygiene. Staff member cleaned the table next to me. Didn't bother to remove all the crumbs or wipe it dry. Ordered one chicken dish. Very bland and lacking any flavour. I've eaten tastier chicken from the supermarket.

The Black Horse pub restaurant was highly recommended by friends and family who used to frequently dine at the famous ‘Mohindar’s Corner’ restaurant in Nairobi, Kenya. The BH menu is a replica of the fresh and delicious food that was served at ‘Mohindar’s Corner’. Everyone in our large group enjoyed the dishes that were prepared by Toni who used quality ingredients to produce food that were perfectly spiced and simply delightful. The starters and main courses were mouth-watering and appealed to the younger and older members of our party. Toni came around to check on our experience and described how he prepares some of his speciality dishes. I would not recommend going here if you want to eat/drink in a quiet environment but great for an evening out if you fancy authentic Indian food made the East African way in a buzzing atmosphere. We’ll be returning to sample more of the menu.

Went on 14th June with a friend who I had not seen for a long time. Ordered Indian food including kebabs. We ordered a lot of food that we could not finish so my friend took the remaining for his mum and that included kebabs. We , all three of us had very bad stomachs. The next we had cramps and diarrhoea. My friend's mum, who is elderly was really bad. Basically it was a case of food poisoning. I rang black horse to complain and they said, no body else has complained. Typical!! **** AVOID food in this place. ***** Food is not cheap here but they do sell you gone-off food to make money. ***

This is a pub having great services and chilled vibes also it is good place for football enthusiasts as they have so many things related to it will catch your eye but the Best part is their food is best. I highly Recommend

We just had the best chicken wings in the West of the Hood. Tandoori chicken wings, the chili paneer and crispy aloo Bhajiya (crispy fried potatoes). It was a takeaway and the food was delicious, flavorsome, generous in portion and so moreish. The service was excellent. This takeaway is a 10/10

2nd time here both times have not been disappointed. Left it for the 2nd time before a review because I couldn't believe how good the food was the first time. I wanted to try it again just to make sure it wasn't the beer talking (I'd been to the rugby) Both times we sat around in the restaurant part. This time we went for garlic mushrooms and garlic chicken to start followed by lamb madras and a kali mirch with rice and naans. The naans were lovely and light and all the meals were fab. What I really liked about this place and it happened the first time we were here the chef actually comes out to speak to you and ask if everything is OK, that's confidence in your cooking.

I popped in for a bite to eat last night and lo and behold the landlord is a Liverpool FC fan due to the memorobilia and framed portraits around the place. The food was actually quite tasty aswell(and not expensive, a meal was just over a tenner). I would go back there at the drop of a hat..

Good place to watch sports and great food

1st time ever visiting yesterday. Worth knowing drinks and food have separate bars and servers for orders. Both lacking basic info on opposite department. Anyway, we came to try their Indian food. Most of it was good, aside of dal makhani. Our server never actually asked if we liked it, even after chasing her to get us some salt (for plain tasting daal). Lamb and pakoras were really good, however portions towards prices felt a lil bit too high. What I literally hated was the bar server sitting a table away from us (we were only customers in entire place) and wathich stupid videos on his phone. Obviously without headphones and any consideration for others trying to have a nice meal.

Been going to this pub for years for the football and food

This place should be next on Gordon Ramsay’s list for kitchen nightmares. The food here was atrocious. Prawn curry was served with the Shells still on despite waiter clarifying it was baby prawns. Butter chicken tasted like it was a ready meal from your local corner shop. And last but not least the chicken tikka pieces looked like they were seasoned only with salt and pepper. The head chef had a poor attitude when he came to investigate the prawn curry served with shells on, the waitress had AirPods in and forgot my poppadoms order and the one waiter was serving food in his jacket. Extremely overpriced, poor service and disgusting food. Would not recommend!!

Honestly it's been years since I last visited, and to be honest I was hoping for great things. Authentic Indian food at its best. Sadly, that was not the case, the food lacked basic Indian seasoning, overly oily and a complete lack of understating of Indian cooking techniques. The service from the dining staff was perfect. I voiced some of my concerns and in all fairness they listened and relayed the same to the kitchen, whom offered an alternate dish which I ordered, (the original was not charged for), however the replacement was equally disappointing. Wow, was looking for good Indian food and got something that just as not authentic. Just not what I thought I was going get.

Staff are great, 2 pool tables. And the food is also great.

I’ve heard so much about this pub and decided to visit with family, I am so disappointed with the quality of food that was served. We spent just over £90 on food and around £20 on drinks. The masala chips were really tasty, but that was about it. The prawns with deliciously cooked however way too spicy which overpowered the flavours that are included. The lamb and chicken curry that we ordered were way too watery and quite bland in actual flavour but way too spicy. I have to admit the non-was amazingly cooked and was really tasty. However the mix grill was way too spicy, and I’m Indian I like spice but when’s chilli overpowers every other flavour in the dish it takes away the enjoyment. I think it was massively overpriced for what we ordered which was to mix grills, masala chips, prawns, plain fries, two curries and norms. I’m glad that I tried it as it was one of the places that I would love to try and Hounslow however would I go back again? No.

The food here is top notch but this time I got a methi lamb curry which was a good flavour but the meat had a strange fluffy texture. Very confusing. Okayish. Prices have gone up a lot also.

Nice bar. Played pool and tables were good. Nice seating outside. Only downside was trying 2 find the bar staff but it was quiet.

Stayed in the area because it was by the airport and this place was right by our hotel. Food was wonderful - had lamb chop appetizer, lamb masala, and naan. Seriously delicious. Also good drinks and laid back atmosphere.

Food is amazing, atmosphere is great and buzzing, if going in a group call to reserve table as in the evenings can get busy, family friendly atmosphere.

As a pub with the lads it's alright, food was average at best - saag tasted tinned and really tangy, daal was bland, paneer Tikka was better but didn't come out hot & sizzling - onions underneath completely raw. I asked if they could put mushrooms in the rice and they said no they can't do anything like that even if I offered to pay more

Absolutely love Toni's cooking! Have been enjoying his dishes from his Malibu days and was lucky enough to live literally around the corner so would order 2-3 times a week. He is severely missed from Edgware but is so worth the drive to Hounslow to eat his cooking, with my cousins coming all the way down from Leicester and Birmingham for his famous prawns, kebabs, and wings. There are so many Indian pubs anyone can go to, but if you don't want your food to be full of colouring, oil, or be very heavy with cream, and you want to actually taste the food and its ingredients, then I cannot recommend Toni's kitchen enough. Looking forward to the next Hounslow trip!

Awful atmosphere. Staff allow customers at the pool tables to shout and yell loudly, which echoes through the whole place. I am sure there are good parts that I could not find out about, as it really doesn’t ask you to stay around… maybe they are locals… but if you choose that nobody else is coming back….

I have been going there at least twice a week enjoying the food and atmosphere. The best NAANS IN TOWN . The wings great 2 weeks ago we ordered PRAWNS and other stuff The first bite of PRAWN I knew something was not right I had another PRAWN it was definitely not cooked I complained to the waiter and she said that's how they cook. Didn't eat any more as soon as I got home I had RUNS all night so did my friend We been back twice and yesterday at the BAR FELT like having Bloody Mary Didn't have the right ingredients ended up ordering GIN AND TONIC. In a small glass he pours a double gin puts ice and gives me a bottle of Tonic I ask for lime or lemon answer don't have is YET THEY CHARGED ME £8.50 FOR it. I let the main GUY KNOW about it and the PRAWNS and the table next to me complained about not getting lemon in his Corona beer. With the Money they charge its NOT WORTH IT

Absolutely disgusting food, would not recommend this place, staff are not interested in serving people, and you left to keep going inside to rectify orders. Do not waste your money.

Great food good atmosphere would go again If I'm in the area

Used to really rate the food and service. Recently ordered food and asked for a take away container to take away excess food. I was quoted 50p a container which I thought was unusual. Food is still decent.

Excellent place to go for a decent Indian meal, and friendly staff. Good selection of wines, beers and spirits. Well recommended. Biryani is ace with a Malthouse IPA.

Didn't know this place doesn't serve Indian food on Monday. Anyways next time.

Hounslow is a challenging place to find a good pub with comfortable seats, outside areas including several individual cabanas for smaller parties (handy in Covid times), delicious and affordable food with a decent whisky selection. However this Black Horse has it all! This pub is all the more enticing since they have introduced their new lunch menu during weekdays including plant based options. I have also hosted a few private parties here for up to 40 people and the owner and staff were professional and accommodating to separate the punters from our party and made it feel special and exclusive. I highly recommended this pub, both for casual drinks and food and private parties.

First time in there. Too expensive,the guy who served me he charged me more for a pint. So I won't go again ,not good atmosphere there .

The food looks terrific, and the beer is nicely kept but it's not traditional "English" pub grub, it has a definite sub-continental theme. Personally this pub has great appeal, a variety of spiced meals with good choice of nice beers, add to this the friendly atmosphere and great staff, it's definitely worth a visit

Nice Pub, Friendly Staff, It's a shame that they don't serve food between 2pm and 5pm on Sunday. They were nice enough to let us bring outside food in though.
