The best restaurants serving Indian food in England

I had a meal there with my 10 year old on a Monday night. The food was delicious and we had a great time.

Tried Rani as a group of 6 guys after an all day bender in Atherton. Service was fantastic. Very attentive too, ate under recommendation too and it was amazing! Can't fault this place at all.

Valeria and her staff are truly exceptional! They create a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and their attentiveness is unmatched. I always leave with a smile. The outdoor seating is the best roadside spot in Hale! xx

Lovely food and excellent prices. They do an offer every day of the week.. starter, main and side, which is great value. I actually love a balti, but I must say the curry dish here is better than their balti.. nice atmosphere and can bring own drinks, whether it be alcohol or soft drinks.

Starters cold , main mega spicy and lots of raw onions ,service good but even though quiet and language barrier, nice rice, fresh nann , it won't be a retun to for us

Visited here after reading reviews on a stop over on our way to St Ives. On first view the restaurant sat at the end of a car park didn’t look great. But how wrong we were. The food was fantastic and the staff despite other reviews were really attentive and asking if we were ok. They were also constantly apologising for a loud group in the restaurant. No need wasn’t your fault. The main courses of South Indian Garlic Chilli Chicken and Butter Chicken were up there with the best we have had. Ignore the location and enjoy the food.

Ordered from here before and loved it! Decided to treat ourselves tonight and poppadoms and prawn puri and chicken chat puri starters were lovely butvwe both found them hotter than usual. We got to the mains and it really went downhill. Ordered a chicken dhansak which is my usual favourite and a chicken korai. I understand both are medium hot but I've never had them this hot! Tarka dall was hard to even find a lentil, it was just liquid. Sag aloo again just really hot for some reason. I've never tasted sag aloo like that. Sad to say that's all been left. No idea why everything was quite so spicy tonight and if you like your curry really hot you'd probably be ok but it was too much for us.

Birthday takeaway. Took over 2 hours to deliver. Called after 1hr and they said it would be next out. Never had to wait this long before and we order quite often. Didn’t even want it by the time we had waited…. over 2 hrs is shocking ! Should at least let customers know waiting time will be that long! Ordered from here for the past 20 years and never had a problem before.

Ordered two chicken tikka masalas and a portion of onion bhajis. £21.20. Curries were watery and lacking flavour. Neither of the curries contain chicken tikka. Just plain, unseasoned chicken breast with no char. Bhajis were soggy. Disappointing and expensive. Staff were friendly on collection.
