Just picked up an online order of 2 starters and 1 main. No salad or mint saucewith in it.

Best lamb dansak I’ve had in long time ……my husband and our grandson also loved their starters and mains …..buna and tikka

Heard good things so ordered in. Samosa were delicious, curry was average at best. Unfortunately Takeout Tuesday became it won't stop coming out Wednesday. A side order of food poisoning was not what I ordered!

Great Indian on Sunday evening oh works tomorrow but this relaxes me.

Having used Paneer several times over the last year I was extremely disappointed at the quality of my recent meal. It was Sunday 28th - We ordered the Salmon Tika starters followed by the King Prawn Curry and Pilau Rice. The Salmon starter was overcooked, dry, and burnt around the edges, and our King Prawn Curry was awful - the prawns were again overcooked and very chewy - we won't be going back anytime soon.

Terrible service, pre ordered a meal over £100 with a set time on their website as this is an option they allow. The food arrived 50 minutes early before anyone had even arrived. The delivery driver couldn’t care less. When I called the restaurant to complain they either offered to refund the money and take the food back or to take the food back and reheat it and bring it back at the right time. This is shocking service, why allow the option to set a time for delivery of it is entirely ignored. Great way to ruin a bank holiday get together.

Dined at this so called restaurant last night. The service was slow and the staff sullen. My wife was served rotten chicken that stunk! The "manager" suggested she eat the non-smelly half and he would not charge us for it!! Needless to say we will not use this place again and I would advise anyone else to do the same. Disgusted!!!

Born and brought up Indian but this place doesn’t have real Indian food. It just colourful dishes.

Very disappointed service really slow, starters small portions for fiver. I ordered chicken tikka masala I counted five small pieces chicken in it and the sauce was a ominous reddish pink with no flavour at all, it looked like bowl tomato soup. The only thing nice was the poppadoms. Won't be going back. No one checked we had cutlery or glasses, we had to take them ourselves from empty tables. Food not very hot.

It is a fantastic place now it has been taken over by new management the food is lovely and the staff are very professional The atmosphere and also the decorations is of a very high standard.

We usually order in for Indian, but for a change we went in. The food was so good, fresh and filling. We may have waddled home. The service was great, no one pestered you for an order, they came when asked, the food was hot and delicious. Thank you for a lovely evening.

This was a takeaway order. We regularly use paneer, have had a couple of issues before but tonight was not good. We were told order would take 40-45 minutes, arrived after 90 minutes despite a number of calls chasing them up. Food arrived cold, had to heat in microwave. I know businesses can have issues from time to time but when chasing them re my order they told me it was down to increased on line orders. I had called directly, so clearly prioritising on line orders over ours. On line orders appear to be via chef on line who must have service levels in place. Received a call back offering discount on next order, why not on this order I ask myself Very disappointing, food is great but let down by service Looking elsewhere for our next Indian takeaway

Just had a fantastic meal, first visit and will definitely come again, food was delicious and hot, staff were very attentive, one of the best sagwalla I've ever had and all for £80 including tip for 5 people and bonus was you can bring your own drinks.

This little treasure of a Indian restaurant is a must go to place for a great meal, The food was soooo tasty and nice and hot, the staff polite and the whole experience not rushed. the prices are very reasonable. will defiantly go again when I am in Liverpool again.

I visited Paneer for the first time and ordered tikka lamb chops to start and the Paneer balti special with lamb, absolutely delicious. The service was perfect, friendly staff and it was finished off with complimentary drinks. I read some poor reviews, don't be put off by them. We all enjoyed our meals and will definitely be returning.

Had a lovely meal tonight for my sons 12th birthday. Food was great. Staff very attentive and made a fuss of the birthday boy and his brother. Nice touch was the free desert they gave my son for his birthday which was totally unexpected but very much appreciated. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be returning.

Absolutely unhappy!!! The customer service in this restaurant is a nightmare!!! I placed order for more than £30 and the guy started shouting at me, that I can't order a food next to beach! I politely asked him about my options And he basicaly told me to go f... myself and sort it with uber eats!!! Never ever again!

Would not recommend this place at all as the food is not very good quality. I tried it once before and because I commented about the food being a bit hot they made every one of my dishes to extra hot and spicy on purpose I ordered lamb biryani it not post to be extra hot you did that by purpose! Don't act like your innocence. You can see the orange colour of the chili powder in the rice and you can see in the Madras it looks orange to. The reason you did that to me because you don't like being criticised on your food....

Unprofessional, rude, and awkward staff Edit: no reply button to respond to owners comment. Even their response is patronising. I'm not a robot. Twice we have come to Paneer and both times youve caused issues. Firstly with over charging us and refusing to explain the bill as you don't do itemised billing. You charged for drinks despite it being a bring it yourself. We explained this and you still tried to charge us for drinks you don't even sell. Then we try you once more, hoping it was just a bad day. On Monday I had a staff member stand about 3 ft behind me staring at me, what I politely asked why he just slowly walked off with no explanation. It was creepy and weird. When I told you we were here for a party of 11 you said"do you want the tables together or what? You can still hear each other anyway if we just leave it". I asked if e could have a table all together as it's a party and reluctantly you made up one the wrong size so I had to sort the tables out myself. Then I asked you not to take the birthday cakes until I had decorated them and you took them literallyin the same 30 seconds. When I asked for them back, you were awkward about it saying "you can do what you want" but not actually giving me the cakes back. I had to say multiple times please just give me the cakes. We were told by one member of staff "we cam hide the cakes but I'm not singing and you can bring it out yourself!" In a horrible tone. I don't care if I have to sing and bring them out but that was a rude way of telling me that information. My parents had rang the day before to confirm about a deal on the menu. When we arrive you tell us its wrong and then start shouting at us. Not one person in our party of 11 raised their voices and my mum had to ask the manager to step to one side to speak as he was raising his voice, being unhelpful and rude. So no, I'm not a robot, I don't care what reputation you think you have because you didn't live up to it one bit ! Both times we came we brought 11- 16 people and have more parties to plan but you will not be having our custom or recommendation

Tonight we went to this restaurant for the first time in a couple of years -omg never again! Read this … A few years back this restaurant got slated for a one star food inspection anyway being New Year’s Eve last minute we thought we would try it out. We rang at 5 pm and asked late notice if they had a table which they did and we asked if it was still “bring your own drink” like it used to be years ago. The chap who answered said you can bring your own drink or they serve so we went along , went the Tesco opposite and got a few drinks. We walked in got seated and the waiter told us we were not allowed to bring our own drink! We said half an hour earlier we head been told to so we had brought some - called us a liar! Seriously …. Was this for real ? I went the toilet to refresh when we arrived and there was no hand wash . I thought never mind I’ll go outside and there will be alcogel by the bar - wrong! So … middle of a pandemic no hand wash and formerly a zero rating for food ….. we said no thanks and up and left. Not being called a liar for anything and if they can’t put hand wash in the toilet for customers I dread to think where the staff wash their hands?!

Wanted authentic Asuan Cuisine, but unfortunately did not state preference so got the Western version which was bland but edible, apart from the dips with the poppadoms. Portion sizes were good. Complimentary drink was a bonus 🥃

The food was 5 star. The guy who served us never smiled once. He didn't seem happy. But he served the food well apart from cleaning up and spilt curry on us and our clothes. Its was only a spot but it wouldn't of happened if he hadn't stretched across the table. Maybe he was new. We had starters and main and it was excellent. Recommended going here.

We got a take away and half way through we had to stop eating and bin the lot. We found more than several short black hairs in our food. I called the restaurant and they apologised and said they would replace it but I didn't want it. Shame really nice food but grossed out by hair.

First time we have used them and thought we would support local business. Had a takeaway, kurma had been frozen, tandoori had marinated for less than 30 secs, Nan bread soggy and the lamb dish was onion basically. Appalling and inedible. Changed its name but same old poor quality food Give it a miss and save yourself a poor quality experience

Had originally left a glowering review, couldn’t fault it at first. Every time since has been rubbish. Bland, flavourless food - nothing like what we had the first few times. Edible but not worth it anymore. Heard it was taken over by Wirral Tandoori which we love and always have great food from but it’s been a let down since. Thank you for your response. I have ordered a takeaway tonight. Hope it’s better!!

We used to be regulars but personal circumstance meant we hadn't been for many months. Wow. Nothing disappointed. All staff were welcoming and environment felt safe. Food was tasty and well presented. You don't realise what you've missed until you return. Thank you all.

Went last night lovely welcome, food so tasty, waiter was very good, asked if we were ready for each course. Lovely and warm inside, Well worth a visit. Going to take whole family for a treat once we can all meet up.

Ordered a takeaway got 4grill boxes as advertised on face book looked brilliant for 10.95 per box delivery arrived and was shocked with the size of the box tiny nothing in it and also cold discrace didn't look anything like the photos on face book don't let the pictures fool you won't order again from there again 44pound for not even 10pounds worth of food between the 4boxes disappointed 😠😠😠😠😠😠!!!!!

Very busy. Lovely food and attentive staff. Would have preferred the tables to be a little bit further apart and would recommend salt + pepper only on request in paper packets also wipe down menus.

Haven't had chance to taste the food as we booked online, got a confirmation to say our table was booked but on arrival got turned away as they don't take bookings on the day. Apparently they tell the public this you through social media!!?? My advice to you is if you book online, ring afterwards and make sure they have a table for you, we were very disappointed.

Absolutely delicious. Excellent portion sizes. Full of flavour. We rang up and asked if they could make a dish that wasn't on the online menu and they did no problem at all.

Just been to this restaurant for the first time . We don’t eat Indian often but staff talked us through the menu and made some suggestions according to our taste . It was delicious and the staff were really attentive and helpful . Gave us a great , easily accessible table as I have some mobility issues and the two waiters couldn’t do enough to help us all evening . Very friendly, attentive and professional. Very disappointing experience at Paneer, Liscard. Restaurant almost empty but we were put by door and were freezing the whole time there. Food very disappointing. The word Banquet shouldn't be on the menu because it is NOT a banquet. You choose 1 starter up to £3.95 and one main up to £7.95 but choice of dishes at those prices very very limited. Banquet signifies a number of different dishes not one starter and one main plus ended up paying almost £18 rather than £11.95

Paneer has recently opened with a new management team and it's superb! Inside this is certainly Wallaseys best looking restaurant, the modern comfortable interior is clean and fresh. Meals are served freshly cooked and piping hot, the staff are all very friendly and attentive. The Wednesday and Sunday banquet deal is great value as is the Al'a Carte menu and you can't fault the quality. In all, well worth a visit.
