Wirral Tandoori in Wirral

Took 2 hours to receive. Delivered to wrong adress first so had to wait even longer although they deny this. Food was stone cold & dry. Was supposed to recieve a call from manager which didnt happen. Will never order from here again.

Twice we have ordered from here. Both times the food has been at least 45 minutes - 1 hour late and freezing on arrival.

On time, tastes great and really good value.

not as good quality as it usually is. prawn cocktail was very watery and the naan was soggy. bit disappointed.

Over an hr late, turned up cold.. casual phone manner, we had to call twice to chase.

Forgot mixed kebab off thali but I’m sure they’ll add it to next order 🤗 Everything else spot on 👍

Food was freezing cold, onion bhajis were rock hard! ‘Onion chutney was literally just big white chunks of white onion !! Makhanwala was flavourless

An item off the order was missing as well as the order arriving almost an hour late. Shame, because the rest of the food was good (but a bit cold)

Freezing cold all of it, also ordered popadoms no dips. Nann bread soggy and again cold! Afraid to eat it putting the lot in the bin. Shocking! Never ordering again and the sheer cheek to charge for delivery. The driver must of been to 10 other houses befor ourselves. 0/10

Visited here for many years on and off as always received slow delivery, decided to give another try tonight but collected instead. Waited 40 minutes past advised collection time, food was luke warm at best when we got home and most got binned.

Arrived an hour and a half after expected time. Restaurant weren't answering the phone. Food was stone cold. Items missing. Looked like order had been thrown everywhere in transit. Would NOT recommend.

delivery was great. food was warm, was abit dissatisfied though, fed most off the meat to my dogs as it was just gristle, i genuinely couldnt eat it, onions soggy and delived in a paper bag so.grease was dripping everywhere probably wouldn't order from here again

order was due 18.05-18.35 turned up at 7.05. actually 2 hours after the initial order. when it got here the food was cold rule warm at best. there were no poppadoms that we had ordered and my nan bread had been in the bag that long it had become sweaty and soggy. Very poor experience all around really and won't be going back

Was delivered about 45mins earlier than stated, which is great when all the food is correct. Felt the order was rushed meal was cold, lots of bits missing. Haven’t ordered from here for a while as the quality had dropped and unfortunately feel it has gotten even worse.

Usually a very reliable option but thr delivery was extraordinary late. I called the restaurant at one point and was told it had been sent out and would be 5 to 10 minutes but it still hadn't been delivered 20 minutes later.

Ordered food at 6:23…..said would be delivered between 7:15 and 7:35……called at 7:45 to be told would leave restaurant in next 20 mins. Arrived at 8:40, 2 hours 15 after ordering! Rubbish

Food was over an late, obviously it was cold!! Summary, put order in 18:40pm food didn't arrive till 20:45pm! Called the restaurant, the guy apologised, but still not good enough, delivery driver didn't even apologise!! Absolutely appalling!

the meal was not that nice .the chicken tikka tasted like bbq sauce. never tasted it like that before. nit nice .and it was cold .

We ordered from here on Friday night and honestly it was the nicest curry we have ever had. 10/10

1st time I ordered - half hour late but the food was really good so I tried again today. This time 35 mins late and the food was tasty but cold. Probs good for sit-down but not reliable enough for a take-away.

Firstly the delivery driver drove straight over my grass in my front garden before knocking at my door. Secondly the 3 onion bhajis that I ordered were so dry and burnt, I couldn’t eat them as they tasted so bad! Disappointed!

Maybe because I live a little further out it took longer so I won’t mark the quality down for being slightly cooled as I expected it. Food taste was spot on.

app told me it had left and it hadn't. I rang 30 mins later to them saying they had only just left! arrived 50 mins late!

Arrived 2hrs after ordering, food was cold, not always in appropriate packaging. no apology from resturaunt when i rang up.

Waited 80 minutes and all the food was cold. Have ordered from them before and they cancelled the order after we had waited 90 minutes. Will not be ordering from them again. A real shame because the food is good but service is terrible.

I love Wirral Tandoori- the food is excellent. Sadly delivery on this occasion was really poor.

Went Wirral Tandoori on New Year's Eve. When it "eventually" arrived food was very nice. However, the service was dreadful. We booked for 7pm, when we arrived we were told to stand along with the large gathering of people around the doorn/lobby which was full to bursting with people who were becoming irritated and some quite angry having waited for long a long time. At 7:15pm we were seated at an unprepared table. Menues eventually arrived at 7:45pm and we asked if we could order drinks and were told "I'll be back in a minute". At 8pm our drinks order was taken and they arrived at 8:15pm and we ordered our food ("we decided to not order a starter due to the absoloute bedlam in the restaurant") which finally arrived at 8:50pm and was very nice. I will go back to the Wirral Tandoori but never again on New Year's Eve. Absolute chaos due totally accepting demand they are blatantly unable to cope with, this is very disrespectful to customers who have chosen to spend New Years Eve in their restaurant. The situation on these occasions needs "management" and their are a number of measures that could be taken to make the experience better for customers. 1. Tables booked in "time slots" 1.5 to 2hrs eg: 5:00-6:30: 6:30-8:00....e.t.c. 2. Reduce the menu options to "say" six starter and main options by creating a special seasonal menu. 3. Pre-orders: when people book a table on New Year's Eve, they must provide a pre-order at-least 24hrs ahead of the booking so you're better prepared when they arrive. Consider reducing takeaway meal orders and perhaps make good this shortfall by adding supplement/service charge to table booking on this special evening. Whatever you do, if you wish to be more respectful to your customers?you need to try and reduce the chaos and total bedlam that occurred on New Year's Eve.

The food was lovely as usual but this is the second time now the food has been nearly an hour late , it wasn’t cold but it wasn’t far off it and we had to warm it up.

Worst food we have had from here, food arrived freezing cold, tasted terrible, don't know if they have changed the recipe or the cook but which ever please change it back as this was terrible, all 3 of us decided to bin it & order from somewhere else

We have been here multiple times over 2024 and we’ve never had an issue now I agree it’s New Year and they were busy however our table was booked at 7:45. It was apparent when we arrived they were overbooked. We finally got our seat upstairs at 8:20. There was food all over the floor the table was not dressed no cutlery napkins old food from the previous table all over the floor. We got our poppadoms about 830. They did not come and take our order for food or drinks until about 9:10. This was only because we asked all food come around 10:20. At no point did any staff attend to us? Apologise check if we needed any drinks. As we are out with a family and we understood that they were busy, we just stuck it out as where else would we get a place for five on New Year’s Eve last minute however people were dropping like flies round us and leaving and walking out not preparing to wait after waiting so many hours. When the food eventually arrived, it was cold maybe lukewarm. One of our meals was not the order which we asked for they brought it out again and it was wrong. The two young lads that are working there I witnessed the older staff members not particularly speaking to them very nice. They were doing the best the lads and it wasn’t their fault it was down to management, obviously overbooking it was horrendous . We did complain to the manager he responded it’s New Year’s Eve what do you expect? Which I agree to a point however not to wait nearly 4 hours it was a disaster from start to finish however we did make the most of it and as we were family we did have a laugh between us Whilst we waited it out, we were not impressed with the response from the manager at the end. It was not good enough and was dismissed far rudely and abruptly to the point where the manager was basically arguing with us that it was New Year’s Eve. I did witness the manager have a right go at the young lads who were serving it was not their fault it was down to poor management and overbooking. Terrible

i never even received my food restaurant will not answer any of my calls i have rang 19 times i am disappointed and disgusted i paid £51.51 it says it’s been delivered and it has not? who can i get in contact with for my food or a FULL refund

If I could give this restaurant Zero stars I would. I have to give them one star minimum by default. I ordered 2 poppadoms 1 spiced and one normal, 1 naan bread. 1 chicken madras. When the food arrived the spiced poppadom was completely flat and uncooked. The naan bread was limp and undercooked. The Main course was cold. I rang the restaurant and the manager was extremely rude and hung up on me. Avoid this rip off restaurant at all costs. You have been warned

Not as good as previous orders, tasty food but cold

I ordered 2 poppadoms, 1 normal 1 spiced. The spirited was completely flat and uncooked. I have now learned that you can "cook" them in the microwave. the naan bread was cold and limp, clearly not cooked properly. The Main course (chicken madras medium was lukewarm and had to be heated in the microwave.

I was so disappointed with this as I've heard great things about this place but I wouldn't go again. The lamb passanda my partner said was beef instead. I ordered tikka curry sauce and instead korma came. Garlic bread was plain, cold and hard

Do not order from here absolutely disgusting! Food is freezing nothing cooked properly soup was a chunk of lentils even the onion chutney was like it was cut up with a fork! Absolutely freezing took ages to come portions are tiny! Do not order!

Best Indian on the area, in my opinion

Me my husband and daughter are all currently unwell vomoting after eating from here. We suspect it is the chicken that is used.

The food might have been ok if it was even slightly warm. Sadly the food took 2 hours and arrived cold. Not worth ordering from here.

Delivery was late,Quality was poor to what we expected. Usually food is exceptional, as is delivery. Unfortunately tonight- lamb was tough and chewy. Not cooked long enough for mutton they will be using. The naan tasted dry and powdery, to be honest it tasted shop bought or very stale…not fresh. We asked also for 2 lime pickles but only received 1, not a big deal but we still paid for it. The mint yoghurt dip tasted long life, not fresh. So disappointed as this was our favourite curry houses..
