Wirral Tandoori in Wirral

If I could give this restaurant Zero stars I would. I have to give them one star minimum by default. I ordered 2 poppadoms 1 spiced and one normal, 1 naan bread. 1 chicken madras. When the food arrived the spiced poppadom was completely flat and uncooked. The naan bread was limp and undercooked. The Main course was cold. I rang the restaurant and the manager was extremely rude and hung up on me. Avoid this rip off restaurant at all costs. You have been warned

Food was cold problly due to the order arriving half an hour late which I did end up having to contact the restaurant who were able to assist in my query

while we did order on a Saturday night and know it is a busy night, we were given a delivery time of half 7 at the latest. After phoning up at 7:45 about not receiving our order yet we were told it was on its way. food didn't arrive until 45 minutes later! Over 2hrs after we originally ordered. now half 8 at night it's too late to be eating a curry!

I was so disappointed with this as I've heard great things about this place but I wouldn't go again. The lamb passanda my partner said was beef instead. I ordered tikka curry sauce and instead korma came. Garlic bread was plain, cold and hard

food ice cold when it arrived, even the foul containers. onion chutney was off. slimey and smelt awfully.

Do not order from here absolutely disgusting! Food is freezing nothing cooked properly soup was a chunk of lentils even the onion chutney was like it was cut up with a fork! Absolutely freezing took ages to come portions are tiny! Do not order!

Best Indian on the area, in my opinion

Me my husband and daughter are all currently unwell vomoting after eating from here. We suspect it is the chicken that is used.

The food might have been ok if it was even slightly warm. Sadly the food took 2 hours and arrived cold. Not worth ordering from here.

Delivery was late,Quality was poor to what we expected. Usually food is exceptional, as is delivery. Unfortunately tonight- lamb was tough and chewy. Not cooked long enough for mutton they will be using. The naan tasted dry and powdery, to be honest it tasted shop bought or very stale…not fresh. We asked also for 2 lime pickles but only received 1, not a big deal but we still paid for it. The mint yoghurt dip tasted long life, not fresh. So disappointed as this was our favourite curry houses..

Food was poor quality compared to other Indian takeaways. Food was late, and cold.

Always an amazing experience whenever we go. My friend has a gluten allergy and they always make sure that there is both not any gluten in his food, but also that noone elses food could contaminate it either. The staff are always friendly and the takeaway is also very good value. We always come here for food and will continue to do so

Food is not as good as it used to be. There are young collage boys working here for £6 and hour (bare in mind they are made up with that rate of pay) they deserve more for the work they are doing! Pay them more !

We got a notifications to say on way and then got one saying delivered i rang the restaurant and they said it was on way but in fact it wasn’t it arrived an hour after that and it was freezing cold, fuming

Excellently prepared food, promptly delivered

Delivery guy was very very rude, we didn’t hear a knock at all nor did our dogs. Paneer korma was very nice as well as the lemon rice. Naan bread is ok, and the value for the non veg thali was good.

Tasteless meal, no flavour and did not even resemble a dhansak, disappointed as I have not been for a while and was always very good until now.

Considering this place is 3 minutes away in a car the food was cold and had to be heated, the rice was very small compared to the one I normally get from who always add at least 2 dips and free popadoms , it was an over £30 order even though just eat had an offer on also 30 mins late even though we pre ordered before opening time, I wouldn’t use again and wouldn’t recommend either

Best Indian order in a long time

We called in for a takeaway and waited one hour for it to be ready. I had asked for cutlery and something to eat it off as staying in a hotel nearby. They gave us 1 set of wooden cutlery. Most of the food was OK but I was totally put off the special rice as there was eggshell in it. We struggled to eat the food out of the foil trays, me with a fork, husband with a spoon. Not sure we would go back there, maybe sitting in is better.

Very pleased with the food delivered which included an excellent tandoori mixed grill and there were good amounts of meat in the curry and biriyani.

We ordered the food at 7pm and arrival was due by 8.15pm. I called twice to be fobbed off with apologies and being told it was on the way. It turned up at 9.45pm an hour and a half late. Food was cold making the chicken and lamb both dry. Food is normally good from here. If you are too busy to manage the orders you have then you should stop taking deliveries.

Atmosphere -Empty (Sunday evening). Food - on complaining we had a second Pathia brought with the improvement of a fully cooked naan like bread. Butter Chicken tasteless and huge square pieces. Partners curry also not sufficiently spiced with chunks of less than tender meat. Naan looked like a child's attempt at pastry rolling and cooked in butter. We won't return as we are from elsewhere in the UK, Apparently the locals love the restaurant's mild dishes and they cater to local tastes! We are used to spicy curries with selected tender meat pieces, and naans not cooked with butter, which are huge with pockets of air, not heavy, thick, and dry. The staff were rather incredulous to us not being happy with the food. It was rather awkward. Ate the meat, left the naans. They knocked £6 off the bill but it was £20 over what we normally pay. A free whisky and Bailey's shot were brought but we didn't really want them and we're not asked. Waited for our coats to be brought back for a while, which again was awkward. We had two staff members quiz us as to why we did not enjoy the food. Glad we have many fantastic places for Asian/Indian cuisine near home. Sorry Wirral!

Really lovely place to eat and and the food is excellent. The staff were so friendly and quick to serve us . My friends were so happy with the food - we got the Dan sal, rogen josh and tikka masala- and we were all full afterwards. Thank you 😊

Paid £10.50 for tandoor chicken, it was tandoor chicken but was very very small and dry. Was not happy as it was a birthday treat for my mum (70th) I will not be ordering from here again

Ordered the non-veg meal for one, it was superb. Full of flavour, good value and great portions. Best curry I've had in many years. Delivery was only 20 minutes from the time of order. It's a 10 out 10 from me, faultless.

It says here the food was delivered at 20:40. It was actually delivered at 22:05! The food was barely warm.

A long standing Wirral Indian restaurant. We've not been for some time but it has still maintained the food, service, and atmosphere that has been known for.

STOP microwaving food if you have no clue what you're doing! chicken arrived with the consistency of rubber. STOP it.

Food was subpar, tried citrus chicken as had it in restaurant and was lovely, getting it delivered is totally different, the sauce was very oily and red in colour but was orange/yellow in restaurant when had it previously. Tried prawn pakoras, nothing special in a weird red coating with tasted funny and again very oily. Special rice had way too much onion in and wasn’t pleasant as texture was crunchy and off putting, onion chutney went warm, poppadom was soft cuz of hot food, wouldn’t order agai

Food is lovely from Wirral tandoori however this is the forth time that it said it was delivered on just eat and we where waiting 25min after the wait time this is not a good service at all which is really disappointing as the food is lovely unfortunately due to this poor service I will not be ordering again from here as this is the forth time this has happened

The delivery was late and some items missing, apologetic over the phone and replacement arrived quickly food was lovely as usual.

Order took 1.5 hours. Food arrived warm not hot , the curry I usually get tasted very different this time. Food was average and unlikely to order from here again due to the time it took and the quality of food.

Not been to or ordered from here for a while and not disappointed. My favourite curry house in the South Wirral area.

the food was overall nice, it told me it would arrive between-9:10 to 9:30, i then got a notification saying it would arrive at 9:15, i waited by the door from 8:50- 9:20 until i called them and they told me the driver was just leaving then, the order then arrived at 9:55, disappointed
